ok idc that im copying the plot from the movie, but imagine that you were mav's wingman in the final mission, and you obviously go back for mav and get stuck and since you're in an older plane, and hangman is literally begging comms to go out there and save you and mav, but he is denied that which makes him freak out!!!!

You know what though, that part in the film when Hangman is requesting to go out there, my heart absoutely shattered! I felt that in my bones at how desperate he was to save Rooster and Mav, so translate that into you and him? My poor heart.

“i’m tired” you whine while leaning your head down on jungkook’s shoulder, you’re three seconds away from going to sleep on his shoulder but like the sweetheart he is, he goes to your bathroom to fill your bathtub with warm water for the two of you to sit and soak in.

after that steamy eventful night, jungkook is already gone by the next morning to deal with CEO stuff while you get ready to head for work. tina is of course pissed off and cries to her father about the matter which later pisses jaekuk off even more of his son’s recklessness but it will all end soon.

its been a week since you seen jungkook’s mother and the last time you talked to jungkook was earlier this morning. you and yerin are going about your separate ways after meeting up for your usual coffee date and you’re on the phone talking to your mother about coming back to switz soon.

nearby, a man is stalking you and has you in his crosshairs waiting for his signal.

“waiting on you boss” the man says while you’re happily talking to your mother without a care in the world.

“alright mom. i love you” you say but before you could hang the phone up—

“OH MY GOD!! SOMEBODY CALL THE AMBULANCE!!”

Jaekuk smirks in relief as soon as he hears about the news that you’ve been dealt with, the man starts to laugh maniacally as he hears the gunshot.

And he’s pretty sure that you’re taking your final breath so he cuts off the call and he takes a puff of the cigar in his mouth. “Poor yn.. I warned you so many times didn’t I?”

He tsks, while chuckling to himself. Jaekuk then proceeds to dial another number on his phone and then he orders the person on the line to confirm his flight to Korea.

He cannot wait to see Jungkooks face and your dead body.

Jungkook’s phone rings, and he gets annoyed, he’s having the worst headache of his life. Thank God he didn’t have any meetings today. He is sitting in his office and… he feels like shit.

So who the fuck is calling him right now?

He reluctantly looks at the phone and picks it up after rolling his eyes. even though Tina has refrained from calling him, but he cannot really guarantee that if it’s not her calling him.

He hopes that it’s you.

“Hello?” he groans into the phone as it’s a number. He is so disappointed that it’s not you. “make it quick.”

“S-Sir…. It’s me the guy you hired to tail on ms l/n…” jungkook hums. of course he had someone telling it because obviously he wasn’t going to let you be on your own specially when you’re on his fathers hit list.

“I-I’m afraid of she’s been shot.” His eyes almost come out of the sockets as he hears the man, he stands up abruptly, and he feels his hands start to shake.

No no no!!!

“W-WHAT THE FUCK YOU MEAN THAT SHE’S BEEN SHOT?” Jungkook is screaming in his phone. He won’t believe it- you are alright, he tries to convince himself.

“ WHY THE FUCK WEREN’T YOU PROTECTING HER?” He shouts like a maniac. His veins popping out, his heart will burst in his chest he is sure.

“WHERE IS SHE OH MY GOD- W-WHERE IS SHE!?!”

“I-I AM ON MY WAY!!!!”

Hi! It’s been a long long while since I read the Maze Runner as a kid, and it’s also been a while since I read the Eden Switch. I was like, in middle school? And now I’m in college.

With finals really messing me up, as they do, I read more fanfic, and I began reminiscing on the Eden Switch. I remembered the softness of some of the parts and how much I enjoyed it when I was younger. I went back to reread it, and it blew me away. The writing was just as good as I remembered, and I’m back to reminiscing about the Maze Runner as a whole. I loved the way you set up the world of Maze Runner and all the nuances of it and the characters. I loved Eva and how she fit into the world so well without it being awkward. I also loved her relationships with all the characters and with Newt especially. The friends to lovers slowburn always gets me. I had a blast revisiting this wonderful story and just having a good time as I read it.

I hope you’re having a great day! Your writing is absolutely wonderful, and it’s really made me happy these last few days.

I'm sorry it took so long to reply to this. I'm very AWOL on tumblr and bad at keeping up, and have also been on a bit of a pause from tmr but I didn't mean to leave this hanging.

It's incredible to me that you read Eden Switch so long ago, and that it still held up on a re-read more recently! There's a lot about it I would probably want to change and edit these days (Not least because I became a die-hard Newtmas shipper, but also I just see mistakes in my own writing after a while).

I had such a great time writing that story and getting to explore the world though and it's truly amazing that you still enjoy it so much and it means a lot that you took the time to write this and share that 🤎
