A/N: wow i am rly bad at updating at a normal rate...BUT I FINALLY WROTE SOMETHING FOR SEUNGMIN (i love him so much guys). its shorter than I initially anticipated but there will def be more fics for him in the future!!

description: seungmin has learnt to enjoy every moment with you, no matter how small

seungmin watches you get up and leave the table quietly. you hadn’t been talking much which wasn’t necessarily out of the ordinary. nonetheless his eyes followed you out the door in worry.

after a couple minutes of contemplation he decided to leave the table and check on you. he was stopped in his tracks when hyunjin starts showing off pictures of kkami.

He smiles and nods politely at the seemingly endless slideshow of pictures, but looks past hyunjin towards the door. “Great…cute…yeah…look I really gotta- oh just one more?” Seungmin sighs but perks up when he hears changbin “has anyone seen y/n? I’ll go look for her” he springs up “nonono I can check on her” his response was met with whistles and a chorus of “ooh’s” he rolls his eyes “yeah yeah shut up” hyunjin gave him a knowing smile. Maybe he was a bit too obvious about his feelings towards you, but you had no idea about them which was more than fine with him.

He makes his way through the hallway, poking his head through each door until finally reaching his room. soft purple light leaked through the bottom of the door. He knocked softly but opened the door when there was no response.

Peeking through the doorway his eyes land on your sleeping figure. Biting back his smile he crept into the room and closed the door behind him.

You looked so peaceful lying on the couch. The atmosphere felt so quiet…so calm. Noticing you didn’t have a blanket he unzipped his gray hoodie and gently placed it over you. Even though it was his favorite it always seemed to make its way back to you.

He sat on the floor so he was at eye level with you and carefully rested his head on the couch. He resisted the urge to move the hair out of your face, afraid he would wake you up. All he could do was look at you and admire your peaceful expression, which was more than enough for him.

“Seungmin? Did you find y/n?“ Felix says from the other side of the door. seungmin springs up from where he was sitting and whips around. “Oh yea um they’re here just sleeping” felix pauses for a bit “.. uh ok just come back soon” seugnmin looks back at you “yep coming”

He starts walking towards the door but stops when he hears shuffling behind him. “Seungmin? Are you leaving?” he felt his heart explode oh my god he likes you so much.

“Well yea did you think I was just gonna watch you sleep?” he replies even though he would gladly watch you for hours. “Can’t you stay for a minute?” Looking back at the door he sighs and makes his way back to the couch.

He lays on the floor while you look at him with tired eyes. “Go back to sleep, I won’t leave”. You smile and reach your arm down to his face poking his nose and cheeks. seungmin gently swats your hand away and starts tickling your nose back. He also uses this opportunity to move that pesky strand of hair our of your eyes.

You snort in amusement and move your hand higher to mess up his hair. He grabs your wrist and moves it away from his head. You expected him to let go but he keeps holding your arm loosely. Shifting slightly you grasp his hand.

He looks up at you but finds your eyes closed. Deep down he knows you aren’t actually asleep, but will play along. He maneuvers your intertwined hands to rest on his chest and prays you can’t feel how fast his heart is beating. Unbeknownst to him your heart is beating just as fast.

One day he would tell you how he really felt, but right now all he had were these small moments with you. That was more than enough for him.

Except Hajime who somehow remembers almost everything, poor guy.

Fuyuhiko had to have his eye removed, but it's a pretty serious surgery so Hajime tried to stall for as long as possible. He knew Fuyuhiko would demand the removal as soon as be found out whose eye it actually was.

Akane was so malnourished when she woke up, she could barely stand. It was a really tough time for everyone

Sonia and Fuyuhiko have a bit of an inferiority complex bc their Ultimates are completely useless on the island. Not much to being a princess or Yakuza when society's collapsed.

Souda looks rly punk bc I said so

He also stops being such a dickhead. Bc now it's just the 5 of them and they can't afford any bad blood and Fuyuhiko punched him in the stomach and Sonia verbally decimated him before he decided ok yeah I'll stop.

oh I wanted to make a lil comic about this lol but Fuyuhiko has a scar on his arm that looks rly weird, he didn't understand it... until Hajime pointed out that it matched Souda's teeth perfectly. At some point Souda just fuckin bit Fuyuhiko and they have no context for it

they get really liberal with sleeping at each other's places because I love that sappy shit

But uh... since Mikan remembered everything in the game, she remembers it still. And is dangerous. They found out the hard way

OOH THIS IS SUCH A GOOD QUESTION okay I ended up writing an entire essay for this complete with citations so it'll be beneath a read more. You have activated my brain worms, thank you kindly.

So I think that fights between these two are inevitable because they have some really differing core beliefs, especially on the concepts of family and love. A rather overlooked trait of Venuz is that he values respect and is nice to others as can be seen a lot on his Twitter. These are just three examples but there are quite a few more!

In our headcanon he also risked just about everything for Cuz as well. (I totally wanna elaborate more on that but I'll save it for some other time. >:]) Needless to say, Bill would never do this (well, not yet, at least), Mr. "WHO WOULD SACRIFICE EVERYTHING THEY'VE WORKED FOR JUST FOR THEIR DUMB SIBLING?" over here.

Every relationship goes through a "honeymoon phase" where the initial euphoria and lovey-dovey stuff is at its highest point. I think that Venuz was very much overwhelmed by this honeymoon phase and was willing to forgive or disregard just about everything Bill did that he'd ordinarily be really uncool with.

Eventually, though, that has to wear off, and he'll be forced to confront that yeah actually I'm kinda not cool with some of this behaviour.

Cuz is definitely his breaking point in tolerating Bill's lack of regard or respect for others. It starts to bother him to the point where he's like "ok u gotta leave him alone yo" and Bill would probably either deny completely that he's messing with him (which Venuz isn't falling for, Cuz has told him enough already) or say something like "SO WHAT? HE'S JUST A STUPID KID" and either way that's gonna piss Venuz off. Bill's constant abuse of his maids would definitely bother him, too. So yeah, that is the main problem they have -- Venuz values respect and Bill has none.

As to how they'd actually deal with it? Well I can imagine eventually Venuz says something like "if u ain't gonna respec my famili dis ain't gonna work" and Bill is really upset by that and goes full on the defensive and throws a tantrum / pity party like "WELL NOBODY EVER RESPECTED ME" blah blah blah trying to justify why he's an asshole and that's okay because he's the victim always.

Venuz has gotten to know him enough by now to the point where he can kinda understand where this is coming from even if he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, and his little fit just makes Venuz feel bad for him. He thinks "wow he iz rly fukkd up. i can fix him". If he isn't willing to try to tame the beast at least a little bit I don't think this relationship would work out at all, lmao.

So, yeah, I'm sure most fights are based around that general concept. Bill calls the waiter a worthless three-dimensional skin-puppet or something and Venuz sprays him with a water bottle. And vise versa, too, probably; "YOU'RE TOO SOFT, YOU SHOULD BURN THAT MORTAL ALIVE".

Otherwise, though, smaller stuff they disagree on is definitely to what extent they should do "mortal stuff" like sleeping and eating or whatever. Venuz likes to do those things. Sure, he is a god, he could do anything he wants, but he chooses to eat, chooses to sleep, even chooses to have a job.

Bill is mortal now, so he needs to sleep and eat, but he's going to be obnoxious about that for as long as he can. After all, he's not really a mortal, this is only temporary! He's like Venuz, a deity beyond biology or responsibility! The rules don't apply to him!

I think Venuz is often frustrated that Bill can rarely ever just spend a chill evening in the living room cuddling with him, and Bill is frustrated that Venuz is wasting his time with those things. Heck, I'm sure Bill's extra frustrated because he wants Venuz's power; he's not using it, so it may as well go to him anyway! Nevermind the fact that Venuz is clearly living a lot happier life than Bill is, hahaha.

This totally develops as time goes on, though; Venuz spends more time taking Bill on little adventures around the galaxy and bringing him on Wasteland runs to set shit on fire with him, and Bill is more willing to indulge in lying around just enjoying one another's presence or spending evenings stargazing. Relationships are all about compromise and these two care about each other enough to be willing to do that, whether consciously or not. :)

hello from work. i have a chill afternoon so i’ve been hanging out at stephanie’s desk literally the whole time.

i did go to santa cruz after all! i ended up taking a wellness day on friday bc i was soo over work, &toni was off too so we went to santa cruz. originally we were gna go to the beach but instead we just got coffee &went to random stores. the coffee place we went to was on the cliffside &connected to a church so they had like, a crucifix on the espresso machine lol. i got a drink called the our frother &it was actually super good.

ok, i ended up not finishing this update at stephanie’s desk so now it’s a few days later &im at home lol. on saturday i went to see a jazz show with the fam in oakland! it was fun, even if we goofed &forgot to make a dinner reservation for all 5 of us. luckily we snagged a reservation for our parents so we just ate at the bar. mikee & i got stuck in some bummy ass traffic on the way home which was annoying, but other than that the evening was very fun :]

sunday i went on a yarn crawl with tram &minnette and her daughter! it was rly fun checking out the different yarn stores &getting lots of inspo from the various designers being spotlighted in the shops. it was also nice catching up w tram since we haven’t seen each other this year. &now tmrw im going to a party for another old coworker lmao. tram pointed out how she &i actually only overlapped at uniqlo for two months… that place truly brings people together which is so nuts.

i just got back from dress rehearsal &im exhaaauusted. brahms is no joke. currently i am irritated bc stupid ass instagram logged me out……aaand literally after typing that it finally sent me the email i requested several times over the last few hours..

anywho. i should sleep bc i am observing ramadan for a day tmrw with my bud moose :-) & gotta wake up early for suhoor otherwise imma be struggling lol.

They announced Precure 2021!!

Tropical Rouge! Precure. It will be a tropical/ocean theme and I believe it will have either a 4 team cures (pink, blue, yellow/orange and teal) or a duo with a red cure as a sixth ranger. What are your opinions/theories?

Oh shit, it is that time again, isn’t it? I totally forgot with how screwy year this year has been. ANN didn’t even mention anything. (@_@ ;;)

Well, anyways, since the trademark is out, speculation is all fair game until December or whenever we get the next messy quality leaks at the soonest.

Before that though, I just want to comment about the HealPre movie poster:

I really like the kimono design integrated into the magical girl outfit. Seriously, I wished they could’ve saved this idea for a full-cour season instead of using it as a movie-exclusive form. That would’ve been awesome~ && imagine the crazy hair but decorated with kanzashi. *sigh* <33 ...only in my dreams, I guess. T_T

Other than that, I am also psyched for the (random) return of the Yes 5 girls. I have no idea what they’re doing here but hey, the Maho girls saved the KiraPre movie for me with their cameos so I’m totally cool with Yes 5 dropping in all badass if HealPre’s movie ends up being just so-so.

Alright, now that that’s out of the way...

Precure 2021, otherwise known as

TROPICAL ROUGE! PRECURE

...admittedly, it’s not the weirdest title we’ve ever gotten but still, Toei at it again with its obsession over weird 3-4ish syllable salads. Ah, how I miss the times when we can just attach one simple word before “Pretty Cure” and that would’ve been enough. :P

Also, how the hell are we going to shorten this? TroPre? TropicPre? ToRuPre? PikaRuPre? Too long! Why must you make the little things so difficult, you bastards?!?! (ꐦ ಠ皿ಠ )

*cough*

Judging by the title, we’re probably all correct in guessing one of its motifs will concern the ocean and when most of us think “tropical” mixed in with Precure, the first image that pops up would be Aloha Precure:

But for me? My first thought was this:

SHUT UP.

LET ME HAVE MY BEVERAGE-BASED MAGICAL ISLAND IDOL TRIO REALITY AND LET ME DIE HAPPY THERE!

I LOVE YOU TEA DRINKYUN, SODA DRINKYUN, JUICE DRINKYUN!!!!!

But in all seriousness, we’re likely not going to have these two as the protagonists because

1) They’re not Japanese or Japan-based.

2) They’re from a different Precure season altogether.

3) This is Toei we’re talking about. Looking at how one-shot Sunset and Wave were, do you really think they would go ahead on a tropics theme with any interest in anything outside just the aesthetics/marketing appeal of it? Uh, sadly, NO.

So sorry to dash your hopes if you had any but even if we are lucky enough to get a main Cure who is of Polynesian descent, we probably won’t be spending parts of the season actually exploring their ethnic background.

Though I’d still hold on to the possibility of Aloha Precure maybe getting a cameo. And more importantly, getting another dark-skinned Cure who isn’t just tan from staying out in the sun too long because I really, really, really want that, too! (>.<)

Ok, ok, back to motifs and themes.

So ocean. And there’s a seashell symbol in the logo so when we think of those things, we think of mermaids (and therefore, Cure Mermaid).

[...y’know, I’m starting to believe they’re just basing all the new seasons on the Go!Pri cast like StarPre for Twinkle. Heartcatch, however, pre-existed Flora so I don’t know where that stands but all that’s left would be Scarlet so I guess Precure 2022′s either going to take place in Hell or somewhere freezing like a mountain YES, WE’RE GONNA FIGHT ELSA! >:D or the north/south poles]

Chances of one of the Cures being a mermaid then? Maybe even the midseason one? Pretty damn high.

Chances of the magical items having something to do with pearls? Feels a little like Mermaid Melody but as long as they don’t throw any blatant idol tendencies in my face, I’m good.

Chances of TroPre (name pending) actually focusing on the nature of the ocean and taking time to explain in depth its sealife, ecosystems and the man-imposed problems that exist within it? *BIG SIGH*

Honestly, as much as I would love for Precure 2021 to branch out from what HealPre started with its health/environment approach (which was quite the disappointing cop-out but that’s a discussion for another place and time), I doubt we’re going to get that no thanks to the commercialization aspect of it.

And I don’t blame the writers (entirely), I blame their higher-ups who probably meddle with the story and demand for more cutesy, pointless fillers instead because y’know, toy sales first, unfortunately. :P

But ok, even if I don’t get the science side of it, that doesn’t mean it won’t be enjoyable. But with only just a logo to go off on atm, it’s hard to predict what we’re really in for next year.

Except for the fact that we can already tell how many starter Cures we’ll be getting.

Pink is a no brainer, there can’t be a Precure season without a Pink lead (bah).

And look at how solid the azure/blue and teal/green is. Those are locked in for sure (HURRAH! ANOTHER GREEN CURE~! xD).

Now yellow...or is that orange? Personally, I think it’d be great if they dropped the Yellow Cure this year and gave it to the Pink Cure as a sub-color instead because unlike the blue and teal katakana, the pink/yellow/orange ombre of the bottom line is not as distinct from one another as the former are. But I doubt it because when you say “tropic” you think of “sun” too so can’t be without the yellow Cure, after all. Ugh.

Finally, there’s that striking red at the end of “Rouge” that looks like what would happen if an exclamation mark and a sea slug had a baby together and put an obnoxious bow on it. :S

With “rouge” in the title [sorry, not you Rin-chan but hey, Rin-chan~! :D], it seems we’re pretty much guaranteed a red Cure as well. I just hope she gets a more creative name than just a synonym of the color red because while “Cure Crimson” cue JoJo jokes I don’t understand sounds cool, it’s lazy. (-_- ;;)

So in total, a maximum of 5 Cures. No, I will not be leaving room open for a possible 6th one cuz that is just one too many Cures and we don’t need that. WE. DON’T.

As for anon’s theory on a duo team with the Red Cure as the sixth (you actually meant third, right?) ranger...really, I’d much prefer a smaller team. I love the idea of starting the season with just a pair of Cures like the good old days. I love the idea of both of them having two theme colors (pink/yellow and blue/green) each instead of one. I’d look forward to a midseason Cure this time because the chemistry would actually be more manageable to work with and develop when it’s not such a huge crowd. So that the new girl doesn’t have to go through all her members like required shifts instead of having more organic interactions with them.

...but that’s just my hope. I know as much as the next person on what Precure 2021′s gonna be like which is pretty much “nothing at all”. *shrug*

We’ll see.
