I can't remember which post I left tags on about that but yeah the "corporatization" of any rpf always spells trouble. it's why I don't rb any of it from the main F1/Netflix/sports accounts. LN4 media doing it is I assume with Lando's OK but even there it's a bit... uncomfortable.

look. carlando was my main ship when I got into F1 fandom and is going to stay in my top 3 forever. but I keep the lines drawn nice and sharp. I l-o-v-e shipping them but I'm also aware that they're literally big brother/little brother and that all of the physicality and closeness is identical to Charles with Arthur. that and the fact that Carlos is sahuuuuuper straight and folks just confuse euro dude behavior with friends for gayness. Carlos was the one who pushed for Lando to grow up and get a gf and Carlos himself was practically engaged for 6 or 7 years. his own sister gave Isa her wedding bouquet ffs. he's so confirmed heterosexual that he can't be alone for more than 2 seconds between girlfriends lol

but between McLaren content on social media getting absolutely bombarded with irrelevant carlando comments and the hate toward Rebecca ramping up every single damn day (I'd say it's a solid 80/20 mostly of rpf hate toward her and the remaining being plain old jealousy) idk it's not feeling good rn. and it's mostly on IG and a bit on YT (I don't use twitter) but yikes at how much Lando content has something about 'he's thinking about Carlos' or 'omg just like Carlos' or carlando when it's nothing to do with carlando. Lando works so incredibly hard at the two to three careers he's running consecutively and it feels pretty damn insulting to reduce him to one F1 friend - however close they are. Carlos has nothing to do with Quadrant or Lando's YT work or his own sponsorship work. that's Lando doing all of that.

that and when the Today show interviewer pushed the "bromance" angle you could see Lando get kind of fed up (which they tried to edit out) and steer the question back around to actual racing. tbh he even seemed a little icked by DTS making such a big deal about carlando and he and Max joked it off.

even through my Singapore euphoria I could tell Carlos and Lando were walking media ppl back from going too literal with the DRS and saying no, it was advantageous for Carlos and yes, Lando absolutely would've overtaken him if he could have gotten the win for himself. I've actually really respected Lando reminding people that they're not in these rarefied positions to do anything other than try to win or as close to it as possible. they're not making millions and living the high life just to throw race results in the air and play favorites with their friends !!??

and this whole "competition" between carlando and dando/charlos/landoscar/whatever is absolutely not making it's way onto my blog lol. I do know that a lot of people in tumblr are just joking when they do that and I think the 'angst' posts are funny but wow IG and YT are not playing around. they're making videos trying to like disprove other Lando ships and it's ??? (funniest one is the Vegas opening ceremony thing and fighting over who Lando was waving to, Daniel or Carlos) these dudes are absolutely not having real life in-fighting about which of their friends they like "better" or who is their bestest friend. (especially when Lando in the same interview as above stated that F1 drivers - Carlos included - are not his actual private life friends so uh oh how does that play into the competition?? it's so absurd)

I'm not a wives and girlfriends obsessive but I absolutely I am not here for them receiving anything negative from F1 fans unless they themselves have instances truly, openly as problematic as the drivers often are. even then I'm wary bc the sexism motive and double standards run so deep in fandom against women. Rebecca has done nothing but exist as Carlos' gf and it's just a sea of "there's something fake about her" and "body experts" claiming the relationship is fake and that she's "obviously a beard" while he's actually with Lando. that last part craaaaacks me tf up because these men travel to Middle Eastern countries where homosexuality has the death penalty or prison.......... they are NOT gonna be out here referring to themselves publicly as a bromance and their ship name if they're trying to keep this huge gay secret while they tour maximum home o'fobic countries???

I have a few extra thoughts about why folks have especially latched onto being proprietary about which men Lando is closest to or "should be with" when it comes to rpf but I feel like we all kinda know why. I'm over here writing pages of text about him which is lame in it's own way - but even I acknowledge that his greatest attraction as a person is himself and not his relationships to other people. it's why he's the sun that a lot of this content orbits around.

I'm also genuinely glad that Lily's existence and Oscar's quiet but firm reminders of her arrived alongside the landoscar fandom happening. I don't personally see any hate toward her and no one's in denial. even the rare fic that has him and Lily fictionally break up is fully fair to her. I've also posted a lot about how I genuinely love real life Lando and Oscar interaction even more than the rpf (and I love the rpf lol) and honestly the feeling seems shared with a lot of us from what I've seen. so especially if Lily uses her engineering degree to start working in F1 it's good to know that she won't have to deal with crazed conspiracy theories about her being an F1 industry plant to keep Oscar's dick out of Lando's hole or whatever.

for anyone who's read this far or skipped to the end tldr I'm always going to ship carlando and landoscar (and even dando) as well as charlos. but as a carlando shipper I really hope the commodification of it dies down before it truly starts to piss off Lando or Carlos. or Carlos has to put his foot down like Lando did and say hey, stop harassing my girlfriend it's weird.

so you’re into gregstophe now and looking for good fics: a rec list by me, local gregstophe brainrot bastard

As might be obvious, I adore Gregstophe and I really want to get more of the SP fandom into them. But if you’ve already read my big fic Just Business (or even if you haven’t) you might be wondering: which Gregstophe fics should I read if I want to really get into this pairing? They may not be the rarest pair in South Park shipping, but finding good fics wherein they are the main pairing can be hard. Well, I’ve reread all of my old favorites from ff dot net recently and I’ve spent a lot of time going through the ao3 tag to now present you with…

THE Gregstophe fic rec list of all time (according to me)

A quick note: for a fic to be on this list, it means it is 1) completed, 2) in English, 3) Gregstophe-centric (i.e. they’re the main pairing), and 4) particularly impactful. There’s a bunch of incompletes I could recommend (such as Just Try to Remember and Moonheart13′s various AU fics), a bunch not in English so I can’t read them, quite a few that merely feature Gregstophe (Lex Talionis comes to mind), and many fics that I do truly like but can’t quite bring myself to seriously recommend because they’re too short or too tropey or too much porn not enough plot. Also, only fics on ao3 or ffn were considered and I didn’t include any OT3 fics (such as gregstophlovski ones). With these qualifications out of the way, let’s get onto the list!

Petroica traversi/effingbirds: so this isn’t an actual fic so much as an author but I consider her Gregstophe content to ALL be top tier. Both of her long form Gregstophe-centric pieces (The Fight and The Well and the Lighthouse) are wonderfully told. My favorites from her one-shots are Ocean of Noise and Ready to Start. Her characterizations of the two boys are some of my favorites, really emphasizing their complicated devotion to one another.

A Stupid High School Tradition Called Prom: This is such a classic fic to me. I read it years ago on ffn but it’s since been ported over to ao3. I personally find Christophe’s written accent to be a bit much (coming from someone who does enjoy writing and reading his accent) but I encourage you to give it shot even if you don’t like that. If you want fluffy Gregstophe (which is rare!), this is the perfect fic. It centers around Christophe being a dick (affectionately) and Gregory being frustrated with him (also affectionately) all while they play at being normal teens for once in their goddamn lives.

Bereaved of Light: If you’re into Gregstophe simply for that good good Angst that comes with being mercenaries, THIS is the fic for you. There isn’t a happy ending but sometimes you’re looking to get emotionally destroyed and that’s alright! Maybe you WANT to simply read about men being full of regret and love while dying. Valid. Read this fic.

Three Years of Gregstophe: Ok this is technically 3 different one-shots but they’re all very good! I really like the headcanon of Gregory going into the government but still doing mercenary business on the down-low via Christophe. That’s kind of the main link between each chapter, as well as Gregory being VERY oblivious about Christophe’s feelings towards him. And his own feelings towards Christophe in the final one shot.

97 Safety First: Gregory playing nurse/doctor to Christophe after missions is a very classic and vital Gregstophe trope. I think this fic handles it very well, along with having some wonderfully done dialogue. Snappy dialogue between Gregory and Christophe is my favorite and very in character for the two of them. Gregory is so insistent about caring and Christophe is so insistent that he isn’t worth caring about… one of my favorite topics to explore in their dynamic.

2am: Following along similar lines of “Gregory cares for Christophe after a mission”, we’ve got this fic! I may be a little biased bc Saturnpanther and I have talked at length about Gregory and Christophe and our characterizations of them are pretty similar. As such, I really love all of her fics but this one is just so classically them it had to be on here. It’s really all about the subtleties, hard to break habits, hesitancy… all that good angst.

Delayed: Yes, this is yet another “Gregory waits up for Christophe” one-shot... what can I say? It’s a classic!! That’s all!! Gregory being a nervous wreck about Christophe’s well being but trying so hard to stay calm and professional will always get to me. Plus, this particular fic has Kyle and Kenny mentioned! That’s another thing you may find a lot of within the Gregstophe fandom, stories with Kyle being a tech whiz and sometimes Kenny too being explosion fodder. The Kyle is more common, as is the ship Gregstophlovski, though that’s not in this fic. Mostly just a fun factoid.

Roses Ought to Covet Honesty: If you’re a sucker for Gregory “i did cotillion as a child” of Yardale and Christophe “fuck god, eat the rich” DeLorne, you’ll like this piece. It’s mostly Christophe being grumpy about being placed in high society while Gregory is very comfy with it… but also Christophe loves Gregory so he puts up with it. I personally really enjoy that characterization of them and I think this little one shot does a good job exploring their dynamic. Also it’s from Christophe’s perspective, which is surprisingly rare within Gregstophe fics.

Crooked: Speaking of the rarity of Christophe POV fics… there’s this fic! Very short but I think it does a great job capturing Christophe’s self loathing and doubt. His Catholic upbringing paired with his seemingly very religious mother makes his character ripe for ✨Catholic Guilt Angst✨. With how perfect Gregory likes to conduct himself, they make for quite the contrast. And Christophe really needs the pillar that is Gregory’s love to convince himself he’s worthy sometimes.

catching up: There’s a lot of Gregstophe fics out there about them having some sort of falling out, or one of them simply disappearing for years, only to suddenly come back into one another’s lives. This particular fic is one of the fluffier version of this trope and I think it’s very sweet. It doesn’t get super into their relationship, but it still does a good job with how short it is.

leave america, two kids follow her, i don’t want to talk about who’s doing it first: By the same author as the previous fic, this one has just slightly more angst but ends on a very sweet note! If you’re curious for a short peek into Gregstophe but in college, this is great for that. Even when trying to live normal lives, they face some struggles. This fic also has a really nice interaction between Christophe and Kyle as friends, which is always a super fun bonus in my opinion.

Puppy Love: I feel like there’s not enough exploration of Gregory and Christophe’s childhood friendship. They can know one another beyond mercenary/revolutionary work! This fic does a great job touching on that. It’s sort of a series of scenes of them growing up together and the slow development of a crush. Also, a heavy emphasis on Gregory being a revolutionary and Christophe just being along for the ride that is Gregory.

Gregstophe Week Entries.: Another series of one-shots rather than a whole story, but they’re all very good! Maybe I’m a sucker for happy endings and nice things, but I really like Day 4 and Day 7 the best. However, all of these are really just kind of a study into their relationship in different aspects, which is why I like them. It also makes me want to maybe do another Gregstophe week... 👀

Adrenaline: This fic is VERY short but still packs quite a punch. If you’re a fan of the more cold/calculating sort of Gregory, or possessive Gregory, I think you’ll like this one. I wish the author expanded a little more on the few things hinted at, but that last line of Christophe showing his true feelings and emotions, just a little bit, really does it for me.

When Tomorrow Comes: Gregory waiting on a hurt Christophe is very common, but this fic turns it on its head with Gregory being the one hurt! I’m a bit sorry to reveal that, because while it’s not quite a twist, it’s still not totally obvious that Gregory is hurt in the beginning. I think this fic in particular does a good job with balancing Christophe’s devotion, frustration, projecting of internal doubts, and soft side.

Cigarette Daydreams: By the same author as the previous fic, this one does a really wonderful job capturing their dynamic. There’s a lot of trauma they both need to unpack (mostly Gregory’s in this case), but there’s also a lot of love and tender fluffy moments. Plus, it’s always good to see someone who understands that Christophe is witty and a jokester.

Bath Time: A fic a little on the NSFW side, but containing the very classic trope of “My God, Christophe is filthy and must be forced to bathe” (with a hint of “Gregory is wealthy and bossy”). While there can definitely be a lot of tenderness in Gregory making Christophe take a bath (such as in 2am), there can also be fights! And sometimes fights are very fun, especially when it comes to these two. Christophe’s accent in this is a bit much but sometimes that’s just how things are.

The Rush: If you’re looking for the perfect mix of smut and story in one little fic, I wholeheartedly recommend this! The ticking clock incorporated in the first half provides a great sense of tension. It’s also one of the fics where Christophe and Gregory’s mercenary sides really shine and feel realistic. Even if you’re not into smut, you can just read up until the point where things get NSFW and still get an incredible short story!

Smoke: I think I really like this one because it reminds me of a somber version of my favorite Clybe one-shot. There’s just really something to be said about two characters coming together and having complicated emotions about a dead mother. Plus I love that Gregory is able to see through Christophe’s emotional walls.

Good Dog: Ok, I know I said that I’d only include finished works on this list but... there’s so few finished long form Gregstophe fics out there?? It’s kind of sad, actually. I pronounce this one finished enough, in the sense that the last chapter has them (basically) getting together. It’s also a darker fic, with Gregory being more on the controlling sadistic side and Christophe being rather emotionally broken. However, I think it’s got wonderful prose, good exploration of character, and a good bit of intrigue. You may be sad that the plot of the job itself doesn’t wrap up, but let’s be honest— it’s never actually about the job when it comes to these two.

Not active on soap twitter. It was my first fandom i ever belonged to and i learned a lot. Unfortunately how bad people are.

I was really into shipping a controversial couple at the time from Days of Our Lives (the writers did a hack job and i was young and dumb; looking back now with the knowledge i have i wouldn't have shipped them and those storylines shouldn't exist in the first but its a rant for another time).

People who i thought were friends in this ship were mostly white and were nice as i never indentified myself as a POC. But when Obama got elected...WOW did the racists come out!

And no one, even the liberal allies, stood up to them. When I started to say something, well you can guess the script (there's a point to this rant i promise).

It is annoying though to see white actors engage with these racist bigots on the daily. Maybe they know, maybe they don't. But i find it hard to believe when these a-holes attack BIPOC actors. If you all (the actors) follow each other, it will come up in your twitter feed. But i guess it mist be nice to have white privilege and ignore hate that doesn't affect you.

Apparently though its not ok to comment on the Daytime Emmy's and their young actors in a drama series category. The age requirement has been changed again to under 19? This year Eden McCoy and 2 literal children are nominated. Someone commented about it and Eden herself, as well as an ex General Hospital actor turned Hallmark star, took offense.

Its one person you don't knows opinion and your getting mad because? White people save your anger and outrage for real issues. Even in soapland. FFS.

Especially when i see her fans in the tags being annoying and racist towards Sprina.

Ok like… If the piece of media you’re making relies entirely on relationships, context, or concluded plot lines from another piece of media for its emotional impact, tension, or resolution, you’re writing fanfic.

Look, I love fanfic. I love fandom. I’ve read some absolutely impeccable fic. I love the feeling of getting excited about Stuff with other people who also love Stuff. I love AU fics that are packed with little shout-outs to the original text. But in a fandom space, the underlying assumption is that if you’re in the Stuff tag you are already familiar with Stuff — and that’s not the case with actual published media. Shoutouts and easter eggs for longterm fans are fun and good, but every longterm fan may well be showing this thing to someone who never ever engaged with Stuff before, and they should both derive enjoyment from it. Even a sequel or a prequel has its own internal plot — someone starting on book/season 3 of a five part series will probably be confused about the characters, setting, and larger context of what’s going on, but should be able to follow the actual in-the-text plot and the actual in-the-text interactions among the characters. (You can start Buffy at 3.1 and have no idea who Buffy is supposed to be or who she was, but the immediate plot — Anne, Lily, demon sweatshop, losing, reclaiming, and creating identity — still makes sense.) A spinoff, a reboot, or (ffs!) a story set in a previously-used ‘verse or setting should be able to carry its own weight no matter who the viewer is — even for the target audience’s mom’s neighbor’s friend who stopped in to pick up sugar and is now vibing in the armchair instead of leaving, or someone who picked up the book third-hand at a garage sale.

If it can’t, it’s fanfic.))

29 and counting…seriously the amount of startup fics I have in the background instead of me continuing/finishing the ones I have is startling…pretty sure it’s 17 plus a request I haven’t started just for Modern Family alone. 5 of those are not MoFy.

I really try to the best I can! I like people to know that I appreciate they took the time to write comments. I try to be professional because idk how old people are unless they volunteer that information. Also I've gotten a request twice so that's nice. I did write a MoFy request 'The Dunphy sister team up'.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Probably ‘Is there hope in a world so bleak?’ (MoFy) because it’s a zombie story, post apocalyptic, so who they lost are never coming back and they just have to deal with life as it is now. And I may have written and deleted a tidbit where Cam and Mitch die together at the end and hated it. Theatre (also MoFy) ended not with Jay fully accepting Mitch is gay, but ‘it was something’ like a baby step.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Honestly, most of my fics end up having a happy ending. I’m a sucker for that. My most bittersweet one feels like Camaraderie. Maybe We Are the Penguins since it ended with Kowalski and Rico dating, Marlene and Skipper dating, and all but Private graduated high school, and leaving the door open to a sequel I’m writing. Maybe ‘If we stay’ only for fixing the ending to Modern Family.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Once someone on FFNet said a thing I wrote was f-ing stupid. I think it was my Pokemon story that tried to keep up with the ever increasing generations and probably because I put Red in without knowing his significance to the community. I mean, I’d rather be given ideas on how to improve. While it wasn't hate, I've received comments that were just odd to me recently on FF and I'm like...ok the story's ancient, let it rest please or stop reading if things bother you so much which were non issues. 9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Once. Modern Family Camchell, it was sorta surfacy but got the message across. I think I write heavy implications better.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I’m a sucker for some crossovers when I believe they can happen. My craziest one posted is part of Multiverse Adventures was Gravity Falls meets Stranger Things.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I hope not, but what are they going to do? Copyright something that I don’t even own, good luck with that.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, I had some story translated into Korean. I wish I saved a pic or the site name because FFNet got rid of links and idk what site it was on. Now I’m thinking question 11 can be entirely possible. But again, I don't own the fandom of which it came.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope. I’m not opposed to it.

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

Is it weird to put an OC in this? If not, King Julien (Penguins of Madagascar) and my OC Josie. If no OC, then Skipper and Marlene and Kowalski and Rico from the same series followed closely by Camchell (Cameron and Mitchell, Modern Family)

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I have an original work I call Quintuplets about fostered siblings in the tentative care of their aunt and uncle. I do have a story in The Last of Us universe focused on four siblings fleeing a fallen quarantine zone, I have more hope of finishing that one though.

16. What are your writing strengths?

Dialogue, scenes and characterization (I was once told I described the building the human versions of the Penguins from PoM too much and didn’t focus on what was happening)

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

If there’s too many characters, I kinda forget some sometimes. Probably scene transitions and I’ve found endings to longer stories a bit of a challenge and I end up skipping through years to finish it.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

If it fits. To use Modern Family as an example, Gloria frequently speaks in Spanish, so why not if it fits in the story?

19. First fandom you wrote for?

The Penguins of Madagascar. Begin flashback sequence: There I was, bored. Super bored. Nothing to do because state testing. Then. I thought of the episode of PoM where Private went on a sugar high and thought he saw a sky orca (Skorca). I proceeded to write a story where it happened again, but tragedy struck like an eighteen wheeler on a leader penguin…A scrapped part of that story led to what I feel is one of the best stories I’ve ever written (Camaraderie) until Ao3

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

Almost answered that too soon. On FFNet, my favorite is Camaraderie (could you tell?), a Penguins of Madagascar fic. a tale of love, loss, betrayal, and friendship (why didn’t I ever change the summary? I strongly believe my falling out of love for fandoms and writing is due to how sad I was that it was over. It led into years long hiatus.

On Ao3, probably We were kids on the street (Modern Family). (This is my ‘final’ decision after originally typing this and four other fics)

Ive got nothing Textually against ppl coming to here from any site but ffs the tags have become nigh unbearable. Which ok spam tagging all your fandoms in an attempt to make friends has been a thing since i first joined this site in 2012 but itd mostly died out until now when theres an uptick..literally just scope out a website or sth before making posts. I was on here for like six months before i moved from liking things to reblogging them much less making posts and fir a year before that i had blogs bookmarked that i just checked on my browser like the morning paper

You know the thing with Buck cheating. I didn't like it. Count me down as someone who was definitely grossed out by it. It actually made me sympathetic to Taylor and Buck needs to confess and he deserves whatever Taylor hands him.

However.. I ship Buddie. Buck didnt do anything to Eddie and I stand by the thought Buck would 200% never cheat on anyone really but especially Eddie. So I get kind of confused by the people trying to get the gotcha question directed at Buddie shippers. I haven't seen anyone be like well its ok because insert Olivet FF card here.

Hopefully we get to the meat of Buddie and Eddies breakdown soon. Hopefully this Taylor stuff is resolved by 5 13. I cant see how Buck actually lets her let her place go when its all built on lies.

At the end of the day I think thats really where some of this defensiveness from people in the fandom come from who are afraid there is a chance Buck and Eddie identify as anything other then straight. Because maybe I'm wrong and Buddie is never canon. But the one thing I know is S5 is definitely ending with both single and more bonded then ever before. And I dont even want to know how Buck will react if Eddie actually joins a different firehouse, how that effects his relationship with Bobby. Especially after he was blocked before too and all he wants is his partner back. It will be a good story but again my main point is I really do think there is a portion of the fandom that is just absolutely not OK with how close and semi codependent Buddie are to each other because honestly it's hard to imagine how you introduce a viable female LI that rivals the others place in their life.

You will never have a women who fights a tsunami for Chris and you will never have a women who Eddie will entrust with Chris. So how do you write a well received love story??

Hi Nonnie! I feel you, I didn't like the cheating either. And I honestly don't get what the gotcha angle would even be in this context? No, I'm with you, I don't think Buck would ever cheat on Eddie. Generally speaking, it's not who he is as a person, which is why a lot of misery AND alcohol had to be involved for him to do it to Taylor, and I don't think he feels for her anything near what he feels for Eddie.

And I'm with you, I hope it will be resolved soon, and before she actually moves in with Buck. For both their sake. I also really hope he owns up to his own unhappiness in the r/s.

TBH, if there are people who don't enjoy Buddie's close bond, that's their right. I think they're missing out, and that whether you see Buddie as platonic or subtextually romantic, their is a beautiful r/s, full of love, trust and mutual caring and healing, and without a doubt, it is so intense that no one else coming now, regardless of gender, can compete with what Buddie have, so I honestly don't know how people can dislike it. But at the end of the day, we're all here to find comfort. If for some people, that doesn't include Buddie and for others it does, that's okay. Just so long as we don't attack each other. We're all humans looking for a way through a difficult life. Kindness to each other is key.

Hey guys!!! Thanks to our lovely anon/blog historian, Soupy, we now have a recorded history!! Blog lore, my beloved. I'll try and start adding in our new things too, but to any newbies out there, come take a look :):):):)

About the lore for this blog, i cannot remember everything, but i can do something about the cursed asks lore and history, since i just scrolled all the posts in the tags!

31 Jan 2021: an anonymous send an ask asking what people actually mean when they tell a ship if "pedophilic". This start a big number of asks about real survivor and how fucked up is fandom water down the word, purity culture, and consequently story time about harassing people in fandom for purity culture.

1 Feb 2021: someone speak about how much fucked up fics helped them. This probably opened the possibility of cursed asks. The same day, someone other send an ask about a terrible person known for harassing people about the sexuality of a character. The person is called "train fucker".

2 Feb 2021: anonymous point the attention on the train fucking thing. The cursed ask tag is created.

In the following hours, always in the cursed ask tag, people discover the fandom was Death Note and the guy was apparently in real attracted to trains and planes. Hell break down, memes are created.

History is made.

One of the characters will later become protagonists of the tag already existed. PKD already was knew since the 22 Jan 2021, when they sent an ask about the color asks and you had the intuition the tags he was probably someone with a piss kink and the tag "chronicles of piss" was created.

Cursed ask history part 2:

At this moment on time,the tags is still not clearly used. One of the First post tagged as such, the 9th Feb, is an anon answering to the ear fucking conversation about micropenis, while all the other posts are not tagged. The day after PKD enter the cursed asks tag, while the others ask still stay out of it. People start sending the stories they read.

12 Feb Hagrid/Hedwig fics are discovered. Owl fucking anon appear. Someone suggest a friendship between them and mlp guy.

Also mlp pony guy is a lore being who did not appear before in the #cursed asks, but already had their history in the simpler ask tag and in the previous cancel scale period, that we could call the ancestor of #cursed ask.

The First post tagged as cancel scale is from the 2nd Jan 2021. It was an anon answering your post of the same day "alright guys scale 1-10 how screwed r u if it ao3 history and bookmarks get released".

This is the gold era of this blog lore. The philanthropist, wound fucking discourse, rpf bdsm and mlp guy (with the first ask behind paywall) appeared during the first month and a half of the year, mixing at the end with the cursed ask tag.

Cursed ask history part 2:

12 Feb Hagrid/Hedwig fics are discovered. Owl fucking anon appear. Someone suggest a friendship between them and mlp guy.

Cursed ask history part 3:

The philanthropist appeared the same day #the cancel scale started. With their iconic "i am a shameless philanthropist and so my bookmarks are public. I eat dead doves for breakfast. Come on down to the buffet y'all! You want some wound fucking? 8-yr-old omega abortion? I got you fam, watch me scramble these eggs" they left a forever sign in this blog. Still to this days asks are written to know if they are good. They obtained a 12/10 in the cancel scale.

Wound fucking discourse started, also the same day, by CB answering "is that where the wound fucking comes in??" At a ask about vivisection and medical experimentation. Discourse about what classify as a wound and how it works continued trought the day.

Rpf bdsm is thought to have beat the philanthropist with their mix of rape, underage, incest in a foursome, huge age, rpf tentacles and, mostly, someone getting turned into a pickle and his partner fucking himself with it.

This also started a string of asks about people being transformed in object used for sex.

Rpf bdsm would appear again later that day to specify the pickle fic was a rpf.

Cursed ask history part 4 (i think? Already lost the count)

Mlp guy. The one and only. Always in the terrible 2 Jan 2021, they first appeared in the tags of an answer to a marvel ask. #Hey HEY mlp guy #u know who u r #i'm afraid to look at this ask #like yeah we saw some shit tonight but this blows that outta the fuckin WATER #y'all would dead ass have to pay me to post it

Someone noticed the tags and asked about it, and a strong sexual tension between everyone and the unpublished mlp ask started. Someone ended up paying, cause the ask was later published as last post of the day and terrorized every follower of the blog. It was published as screenshot of the ask, and is not even put in the #cancel scale.

MLP guy stayed so in the apex of the cursed asks for some months, till the Pokémon ask by soupy was published the 9th may 2021, taking home a 15/10. MLP guy made a Tumblr profile, @therealmlpguy, in retiliation, and reblogged answering with a new terribly cursed fic. CB have still not voted it, so who have the worst cursed ask is still in question.

The day of #cancel scale the blog fanficmemes lost many followers, but the story was, as we know, not finished.

Cursed ask history part 5

I like to stay an half cryptid of this blog, so i will not tell my blog of origin, but i can tell you I am Soupy. Also i need to know if i am actually considered a cryptic of the blog and if i need to make a lore post about myself XD.

This is starting to get hard cause i cannot reread what i already sent, but the end of the tunnel is near.

We already told about owl fucking anon in the cursed ask tag, but their story is a bit more longer. The cursed ask was actually their big return, and they are probably one of the most proficious lore making, having also a part in the creation of the PKD legend. They should really have their own tag.

How? Well.

The 17 Jan 2021, when the big part of the cancel scale was done and the elders of the lore created, they sent an anon ask about what the cancel scale made them remember. It was a fic, red when they were ten or eleven, about someone fucking an owl while the owl was on their period. Consensual, and apparently the authors were two teen girl who write only character x owl. Their mom proofread. CB answered with their profile picture, edited so that it red "i can't believe it's gotten even worse!" Instead of "i can't believe it's not canon".

This post created, if we want to say, PKD, cause their first ask, that assigned them piss kink, was yes about the color asks (that, in case someone does not remember, was CB asking what colors people assigned to them), but had as explanation "if you keep posting stuff like the owl period whatever". So the owl fucking anon indirectly created, the 22 Jan 2021, PKD.

Owl fucking anon continued their ascension to lore of the blog.

The 12th Feb 2021 sent an ask were they were surprised someone had found Hagrid x Hedwing fics, and than sent anther 9 parts ask about the story of how they red lot of cursed shits thanks to an old tumblr blog that had the links, and how from there they found an author who only published Hagrid x Hedwing, and how that introduced them to FF smut.

(it is also discovered they are only 15, baby, please, i am noone to talk with the shits i red at the time but i hope you are ok).

They are now consacrated in the memory of the blog.

Cursed ask history part 6

Before continuing with the history of the cursed asks, is now time to finally give a small talk about PKD. We know how they originated, but how they become so famous?

Probably is the fact they appeared so many time during the last months. Being it for cancel scale, cursed asks or just normal asks, they continue to give us company with their exploration of piss kink fic. Is true they soundly negate having the kink the first months, but after lot of memes and people speaking about it, the 25 Apr 2021 they finally admitted of having the kink,and discovered it reading an a/b/o Captain America fic.

I would suggest to read all the posts, but they stopped being tagged halfway through, so is half in the specific #chronicles of piss and half in the #cursed ask

Cursed ask history part 7

The big lore is finished, and now only the later history stay.

#cancel scale posts and #cursed asks post lived side by side for some days. The owl fucking one of the 12 Feb was actually the last cursed fic published in the cancel scale post, leaving the tag only for some history reference later.

#cursed asks saw the appearence of every type of cursed possible to thought, with scat and nipple fucking between the different tags. At the start there was no specific day chosen, but later, for CB schedule reasons, Saturday was assigned as cursed ask day, and some week later it was moved to Sunday.

And here we are, today, to see what other cursed things we will bring in this world

Cursed fic History part 8

The cursed fic History have been covered, but i still think is important to talk about some of the before time tags that created the good ecosystem for the creation of #cursed ask.

The most famous is #the lube discussion.

It started the 23 Aug 2020, when CB wrote a post about FF using the word "supple" in smut without the thing being actually supple. In the tag, they added #also #that does Not work as lube.

Some anon asked what was being used as lube, that was answered with "one was peanut butter. I will not discuss the other". This started the bug lube discussion, were everyone talked about what they continingly see used as lube when it cannot be used as lube.

Between the classics soap and blood, we see some more daring one as mud, yogurt, aloe vera, years, milk, hot sauce and the more intersting, cannoli (have no idea if they are talking about the cream you put in cannoli or some american thing i don't know).

Nothing reached cursed material, but it put the first seed for the blog.
