Cyrus Borg has a completely monopoly on Technology in Ninjago City, so much so to the point that if a new rival company rises, Borg could literally do nothing and still come out on top

Because while yeah he has a monopoly, his company is literally the best when it comes to working conditions and wages and worker rights and stuff

So a rival company screwing up could literally be their end meanwhile Cyrus just chills in his tower

There have been attempts to destroy Cyrus's monopoly but literally no one cares, because ever since the overlord was defeated, Borg Industries has been carrying Ninjago
