Charlie shifts his phone from one ear to the other, juggling the grocery bags with his keys. “ Because first of all, you two will outnumber me two to one and I don’t like those odds, and— ”

He crashes bodily into someone else, and his groceries and keys go flying. He’s caught before he joins them in hitting the ground, barely clutching onto his phone as he looks up and up Jesus Christ at the unfortunate victim of his distraction.

“ Doyle, shut up, I’ll call you back. ”

He really hopes that he can blame the color his face has turned on the temperature and not whatever the fuck his life has just become. “ I am… so sorry, I wasn’t watching where I was going at all— ”

Yancy had wanted coffee.

It was literally the only reason he left his apartment. Sometimes he just craved it, and that was probably because it's how he started his day every morning at Happy Trails. As...not good as it had been, the nostalgia factor was strong.

After answering what had to be a dozen questions to get an iced mocha, he's made it half a block before someone runs right into him. He grunts, grocery bags go flying...and Yancy is dropping his coffee to the side so he can grab the person that ran into him with both hands so they didn't fall.

The annoyance was quickly squashed as Yancy looked at him, since they had been apologetic and not a jerk about it. "It's alright...guess I coulda been payin' more attention, too." He says over a half grin. Once Yancy is sure they are steady, he lets go. "You okay?"
