bg3 Dune AU

Astarion: House Atreides. Vapula: Bene Gesserit

I had the vision and made a wip right after my tutorial about Astarion’s ear/cheekbone alignment. cause the first strokes I made ended at his nose and reminded me of Dune right away.

I wanted to give Astarion fremen robes, but his look spoke ‘royal’ to me, and with all my love for house Atreides, I just had to draw him in something black, but still with tube [forgive me my artistic liberty]. Vapula is a wizard, so Bene Gesserit sits just right

Vapula Goetia

He is a Duke Great, Mighty, and Strong; appearing in the Form of a. Lion with Gryphon’s Wings. His Office is to make Men Knowing in all Handcrafts and Professions, also in Philosophy, and other Sciences.

Genderfluid Lion-Gryphon demon inspired by his description in the actual Ars Goetia. He/him pronouns. I envision him as somewhat of a teacher or other education figure within the Ars Goetia. Despite his rank of Duke, he is often seen educating the Goetia children, and helping any Goetia who comes to him looking to learn or solve a problem. He is generally very kind, though this kindness is applied only to other Goetia. He is extremely wary of anyone else, after an attack with angelic weapons resulted in the death of one of his children and their family. He is Aura's biological grandparent, though he believes Aura is dead until they meet again 25+ years later. Overall, he is pleasant and amicable.

Like Aura, when he turns into his true demon form he turns blue. Unlike Aura, who is limited to the fire element, his three tails each represent a different element (ice, fire, lightning) (he gains an addition 6 as he uses more of his power, but I have yet to decide if these are other elements or the same ones duplicated).

Aura inherited his mechanical prowess and thirst for knowledge.

Livia: *Blocks Malleus' attack with her scythe, glancing upwards* Alright...Ortho is safe....

Livia: *Coughs up thorns, as several thorns rose from the ground*

Malleus(Overblot): Beastie-

Livia: *Stumbles and falls over onto her side, dropping her scythe* I could...only go full power....for a little while...just enough for Ortho could leave...

Malleus: Hm...I see

Livia: *Flinches and grips her chest, feeling her magic spiralling out of control, her Voodoo dolls vanishing* It hurts...

Malleus: *Floats over, smiling* Why don't you take a nap, Beastie, just like when you were younger and your magic went chaotic

Livia: *Glares at him, tears falling down her cheeks, shakily grabbing her scythe and knocking his hand away* Not until you're back to normal...

Livia: *Drops her scythe, feeling her limbs go numb* I'd rather...die again..

Malleus: Stubborn you are, it's time for your nap!

Livia: *Looks at her bracelet, her ears drooping* Sorry....Silver....I did what I could out here

Malleus: *Dodges a beam, moving backwards*

Ortho: *Looks down at her* LIVIA!!!

Livia: Ortho....you're time is almost up...

Ortho: I'M NOT LEAVING YOU HERE!! FRIENDS DON'T LEAVE EACH OTHER BEHIND!!!!

Livia: *Stares at him, her eyes widening*

Malleus: She's not going ANYWHERE!!!

Ortho: *Grabs Livia, her thorns surrounding him* Oh yes she is!!

Livia: *Looks at Malleus then coughs up blot, causing his eyes to widen*

Malleus: *Scowls* GIVE HER-

Ortho: *Turns and takes off into the air at full speed*

Livia: *Flares her left wing, her hair shimmering until the two of them vanished*

Malleus: *Scowls* LIVIA GARCIA VANROUGE!!!

???: Hey.

Malleus: *Turns around, finding a black haired male there*

Vapula: You're dealing with me now...

Anzu is baiscly inspired by  Vapula and he is vapula demon so hes like hellborn and sm like stolas, his full demon form is a reverse lion with wings etc he runs the largest tailor's business in hell, but is now run by his middle son. because of lack of time he have he also have a familly stopwatch its working like the grimoire  and its name is Liberal Arts that was before a pictogram but , it was hand work re-created by anzu,  the problem with stopwatch is that the portals it create have limit time of close and only anzu and Caim can use it   likes: red wine, his dauther (florence ) , jokes , apple pie , card games (hazard) don't like : Blitzo , other Demons  , cats , orange color gender: male (bisexual) species: Lion-Eagle Hybrid Height: (that i forgot put there hehe....) 8"4 ft (255cm probably?)

I made this sketch of my tav yesterday. I don’t think I’ll turn it into a finished piece, but I can finally tell you one interesting fact about Vapula: she has wings. spoiler: she can’t use them for more than a couple of minutes.

Vapula shares blood, name and partially a soul with her ancestor - Duke Vapula, who’s trying to manifest through her. The wings belong to him and exist in other realm. Vapula can summon them, but they will corrupt her in no time and merge her with Vapula Duke into someone new.

Despite evil alignment, The Duke’s spirit is a guardian of their lineage. The horned lion with wings is on their house emblem, and Vapula’s family believe that the manifestation of Duke is a great gift Vapula should accept. She herself has second thoughts on the matter.

This is my Helluva Boss (/Hazbin Hotel) OC, Aura! Aura is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns. Aura was born to an Ars Goetia family that is descended from Vapula, one of the Dukes of Hell. They are not titled (re Stolas) or an heir (re Octavia) but are more like Stella - with no particular role in the hierarchy.

As a very young child, they played with Stolas a few times as their parents searched for a compatible and titled demon to arrange a marriage with. Before this could happen, there was a tragic assassination involving angel weapons and Aura's parents were killed. Aura, suddenly coming into their illusion skills, was not killed, but bore witness to the murder of their parents and has a fuckload of ptsd from it. They were very young.

Wandering the pride ring and sobbing, they were found and adopted by Zestial, who recognized that they were a Goetia (and later recognized that they were one thought dead). He initially adopts them for his own purposes, seeing as they'd obviously be very useful to him, but ultimately does find a familial bond with them, really caring for them and viewing them as his grandchild. Aura is young enough when they are adopted that while they remember bits and pieces of their parents' death, they don't remember that they are a Goetia. The fact that they are a Goetia is a fact so obvious to most people that it is almost never brought up, so Aura remains oblivious.

As a teen and then an adult, true to their connection to Vapula, Aura runs a shop specializing in machinery. This can vary from weapons (collaboration with Carmine or individuals looking for specialty weapons) to fine machinery that many of the Goetian royalty keep as display pieces in their home. Their work takes them to Goetian palaces in multiple rings, where they do house calls to install or fix these pieces.

When Stolas has an heirloom breakdown in his palace, he and Aura are afforded the chance to meet again...

Also the blue tail in the image when they go into their monstrous demonic form, or sometimes just when they get very angry. I want to draw the full form soon!

Appearance: Like Narcol, Vapula didn't initially have an appearance, and appeared as thick black smoke when Livia summoned him. Upon first reveal during the Playful Land Event, he appeared as a ball of smoke.

Upon appearances reveal it was shown that he copied Malleus' appearance, and made adjustments to it. He had chin length panther black hair, that Livia had to cut shorter to make him look more presentable, so his hair reaches just past the tip of his ears. His eyes change color constantly to match his emotions, but it was revealed that his eyes are a pale yet darkish golden brown. His skin isn't ask pale as Malleus and is a bit darker, with scars littering his right arm from an incident in his past.

Vapula is always a ball of smoke hidden away, which is stated by Livia on why he only wears a buttoned up white shirt with a black vest and black pants along with ankle black boots.

Personality: Vapula hates anyone who isn't Livia, commenting that she's the first person who he has come to care for and wishes to stay by the side of. He tends to be a tease yet caring, as shown when he teased Livia about her sulking but comforted her. Anyone who's not his Contractor is getting the cold shoulder, and a heap of insults unless he's been told to cut it out. Despite the way he acts he respects the schools staff and dorm leaders but still spits out insults from time to time.

He's snappy and is willing to do what it takes to finish a task given to him, even if playing dirty comes with the job. He's initially kind to Gidel, but loathes Fellow with all his might, muttering once on whether he should burn the fox beastmans tail as a joke.

Background: Vapula was summoned by Livia after her revival and aided her(Much to the dismay of Navy who made a contract with Silver), stating that she was very nice to him despite him being mean at first. After the Overblot Incident, he's never seen, in which Livia comments that he copied Malleus' appearance then decided to turn back into his smoke form and sleep. Crowley comments that he is allowed to stay as long as Livia keeps him under control.

-Vapula is the second character to be a non-student that resides in the school(Ortho being the first)

-He tends to kick Leona and Cater if the two are nearby

-Azul states that he never wants to meet Vapula ever again, commenting that the male had threatened to cook Him, Jade, and Floyd on the Monstro Lounge's stove

-Floyd refuses to nickname Vapula due to the rude male insulting his relationship with Livia

-He has come to like Pop Music

-Vapula respects Livia's Family, calling them sir, lady, lord, etc(Sebek calls him biased)

-He steals Vil's eyeshadow
