I saved this meme in 2013, and a full decade later I learned that its real title is “Is Anyone Out There?”

It was painted by Alan Bean, the fourth astronaut to walk on the moon.

I hope my friends who don’t live in the US are aware that there are groups of students at various universities protesting what is happening in Gaza and are arrested and assaulted, commonly with tear gas. It happened today at my university and I have friends who were there. People had tear gas used on them, their wrists tied with zip ties, all because of a peaceful protest. I had messages in a group chat for a student org ask how to get tear gas out of their eyes, people volunteering to bring people water, and encouraging people to delete posts that could implicate them in the so called aggressive riot (as my university labeled this peaceful protest).

You know, as someone living in France, I always feel like I should specify how I feel about women wearing the hijab since it's so controversial here so there goes the disclaimer: I don't give a fuck what people wear on their heads, how long their skirts are, and I especially don't care what kind of bathing suit they wear to the beach.
