Bruce: Hypothetically, if someone had all their Command Seals left, could they, hypothetically, use them to help their Heroic Spirit stay manifested after the War is over?
Kotomine Kirei: And why, hypothetically, would someone do that?
Bruce: Well, if, hypothetically, Caster was really cute and sweet and nice—
Kirei: Hypothetically, I wouldn’t call the “Witch of Betrayal” “sweet and nice.”
Your SON is breaking down, breaking down at the thought of you, he keeps breaking down, breaking down over you again, and he can't face, can't face that you're happier and so he is stuck rotting six feet under.
two things about doug eiffel: 1) he's a very physical person; he's always moving and needs to keep his hands occupied, and that extends to physical affection, something he's largely denied on the hephaestus; 2) he is an absolute space heater of a man.
which is to say, if hera had a body, i would hope for her sake that it'd be more biological than mechanical, because that guy is going to cause something to overheat.
... but, also. because, the way eiffel interacts with hera, he's always attempting to establish some physical connection - i think he makes eye contact with her cameras, touches the walls, etc. and he knows she's "always there" but he still doesn't really get it. he keeps asking. i think the same thing applies to her presence in the station - he never fully gets that she's always everywhere. sometimes when he gets up to leave a room, he'll ask her to go with him - just force of habit.
and sometimes, when he can't sleep properly - which is often; he's a restless sleeper, overcaffeinated, and his thoughts keep him awake - he'll curl up next to hera's servers. and it's hot in there - and he's already a sweaty guy - or it's too cold, if the AC is actually working properly - and it's loud, but it's enough to quiet his thoughts. and at first hera reminds him that she's equally there in his quarters (which would be set up enough for a suggestive retort, if he were any less tired), but he looks so tired, and it seems to help. and she's not sure why, but it does kind of make her feel closer to him, too.
Do you think after Cam showed Zach her favorite hiding/secret place in the academy, the one with the bean bag, they would sneak off at random times and just be there? Cause I feel like it's not something cam will write on her coveops report but I strongly believe they've made it their "safe space".
I really want to say that they did sneak off to that place a lot. Especially during Cam's senior year. I think they dubbed it their safe haven.
When Cammie couldn't sleep and Zach was up making sure she was alright, they would slip into the library and pull down on the old candelabra. Zach would follow close behind and together they would venture inside. They would cuddle up in that old bean bag chair and disappear for an hour or two.
Eventually, they put up a picture of the two of them. One that they had taken on one of their first missions in the field. They placed it in the corner of the window. Every time they visited Gallagher, they would sneak off to that space, crawling through the darkness together, one after the other. They would balance against the beams and then settle onto that old bean bag chair. Nine times out of ten, Cammie would lean into Zach, perched on his lap or between his legs.
And the two of them would stare out the window, taking in the view.
They would reminisce about the years prior. The first time Cammie showed this place to Zach. That night in the cave. The time in Boston. When Zach had followed her onto the campaign train and Aunt Abby caught them. When Zach dipped Cam in the middle of the foyer.
Because despite the years, despite their struggles, they always came back to each other. No matter what.
ZS: You are alternative, you are rock n roll. It exists in you but also in your shows and your music. Here in America the alternative radio format has gone to such shit. That it’s mostly a goal driven format. Meaning they play a great deal of old music that goes really far back in catalog so when you look at hour by hour breakdown of new songs to old songs, because they’ve destroyed the format as a whole, they have to play fucking Weezer’s Blue Sweater or whatever the fuck for literally the millionth time. So it is perception but also radio here has gone to total shit. But you are alternative. You create fucking music that is, again I don’t want to put anything into boxes, but like when I look at your records, they don’t scream pop. But also in the same breath, pop is not a genre. It’s a collection of different songs from all formats that funnels into pop music.
LT: I agree with that. I do think sometimes, and maybe it’s the wrong kind of description, but sometimes you’re right in what you said about "popular". But I have to hear those words ‘cause instinctively, it almost just means safe to me. That’s how I interpret it in my head. You’re right in what you say. But instinctively kind of on the surface when I’m thinking about something that is pop, um, even if I’m thinking in a context of a film, if it’s too pop, I don’t mean it’s too popular, I just mean it’s too safe. (ZS: Too vanilla, too cookie cutter.) Yeah exactly. (ZS Asst: Maybe you just have to pick up a guitar and play guitar on stage for people to say oh nah he’s a rock star.) Yeah well honestly, sometimes, this industry kinda is funny like that. It might be all it takes.”
