Hi, so I wanted to ask you something since I've seen you upload some of the public access art from Sauces OG twitter. I know that's the way to do it, I'm in the patreon too and that stuff is protected. What I wanted to ask was if you had some of the OG Gallagher mansion stuff? Like the concepts etc. Pretty much all of it got deleted and I tried looking some up to remind myself of the project and not much is still around. You can privately answer or make a post, it's up to you.

Yup, that’s the way to do it. Don’t repost the privately posted patreon stuff anywhere, and make sure to always credit Sauce for their publicly posted art when shared. They’re kind enough to allow me to use pictures in my headcanon rambles and such, and I want to always give them the credit and praise they deserve for such wonderful art and creative stories and characters for us to play with. They’re awesome and deserve our support.

If you want content to see the project is still going strong, then you’re in luck! There was a recent update on the project over on the SnaccPop Studios’ twitter. Check out this beautiful background. Though, even more enticing is the voiced teaser of the project in this post. We finally get to publicly hear what Elias sounds like and get a glimpse into what the choices might be for the game.

Of course, there are more teasers up on the SnaccPop Studios Patreon, including nudes of Elias. There were some nudes posted by Sauce publicly on their now gone twitter, but tumblr might not take them as artistic nudity and might nuke my blog if I post any images that are too spicy.

That said, there have been brand new public posts with Elias’ fully clothed sprites over on twitter. Check them out here, and maybe say a kind word to the lovely artist while you’re there~

As for the older publicly posted art, there were a couple shown in a previous ask over here. Sadly, I don’t have the very first original concept art where Elias is putting a necklace on his living bride. I do, however, have a picture of big boy Elias carrying his new “bride” but he’s a bit too excited for me to share the picture here in its entirety.

Sadly, I can’t show the rest of this beautiful piece of art by Sauce to give you a better sense of just how big Elias is compared to Y/N (in more than one sense of the word), but the player stand in character here is also naked, and I’m not gonna roll the dice on whether gray anon booty will result in me being smote by the tumblr gods. Such a shame too.

You know, last time I posted a cropped spicy picture of Sauce’s, I wrote a steamy little snippet to go with it. To make up for the lack of the concept art and cropping this picture, how about I write a little Adults Only bit of spice here too? I don’t have my MC for the Groom of Gallagher Mansion solidified in my mind yet (though I do have a few thoughts) so maybe this would be a good excuse to expand my writing skills by trying to tackle some gender-neutral reader-insert fiction for once. I hope you enjoy it.

Elias was warmer than I expected for someone who had been dead for at least 100 years. I felt the heat rise where his bare skin touched mine. I knew that I was screwed when I agreed to tie the knot with the lonely ghost of Gallagher Mansion, but I didn’t really expect that literally.

For crying out loud, how could a ghost get a hardon, especially one so big?

Despite how crazy the situation was and how fast we rushed into this marriage, I couldn’t help but feel excited when he brushed up against my thighs as Elias scooped me up into his arms, all hot, hard, and faintly twitching when our skin made contact. He bit his lower lip in a failed attempt to stifle the noise he made that was suspiciously like a whimper.

Damn it. Why did Elias have to be so cute?

Elias lifted me just a little higher so that he could recover from the contact, taking a moment to… catch his breath? Or at least imitate it. Old habits die hard, even in death, it seemed.

I didn’t have much time to dwell on it, as I was caught by the charming smile he sent my way as he spoke my name with so much adoration that my racing heart sped up just a little more. “My dearest beloved, I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally consummate our love.”

“I can tell,” I said, and immediately I was rewarded by the darkening blue hue of his cheeks that I knew by now was a blush. I smirked as he sputtered for a moment, flustered. It was so fun to tease someone as innocent as him.

Elias cleared his throat as he composed himself. “Yes, well… how can I not be when my beloved consort is as beautiful and alluring as you?” He then smiled, almost devilishly, as I felt the fire in his smoldering gaze blaze through my already burning core. His voice dipped lower, growing in confidence as he leaned in closer. “And I can tell that you’re excited as well, beloved.”

My face burned hotter at that. I shouldn’t have been surprised that Elias noticed, considering every inch of me was laid bare before him, but I was still caught off-guard by his increasing boldness.

I was excited, despite how crazy the situation was. I wanted what was coming next, but it was impossible not to feel nervous, especially when I was expected to take something so big inside me. Could I even handle it? Would he even fit?

Still… a part of me really wanted to find out.

“Please be gentle with me,” I said softly. Sure, it was a cheesy old line, but it felt fitting right now.

“Of course, dearest!” Elias said, almost taken aback that I would assume anything less. “I would never do anything to bring you discomfort in any way.” A bit of his shyness slipped back in as he glanced away. “I might not have… experience in such…” He paused to clear his throat. “…Intimacy, but I promise that I will take care of all of your needs tonight and more.” He lowered his voice in a husky whisper as his burning gaze met mine. “All you need to do is ask, and I’ll gladly fulfill your every desire.”

The promise sent a shiver up my spine, and the way his fingers began to teasingly stroke my thigh coaxed me to spread my legs just a bit despite the precarious position I was in. I should have been off balance by the way he held me, but I supposed he was using his ghostly powers to levitate me more than he was using those muscular arms of his to hold me up.

Fuck it, I was in too deep already, so I might as well embrace this whole marriage deal and let my husband fill me even deeper.

Throwing away the last of my reservations, I grabbed his cheeks and pulled Elias in for a kiss. I think I displaced his head from his neck in my eagerness, and he jolted briefly, startled, but that melted away quickly as he returned the kiss with a passion I never felt with anyone alive. The taste of him was hot and exciting, drawing me in and making me hunger for more as he held me close.

As I ran my hands along my new husband’s muscular chest, I felt Elias start to explore me as well. I had to end the kiss to let out a gasp as his wandering fingers made their way between my legs and found my entrance.

I clung to him tightly as Elias gave me another devilish smirk, the touch of his fingers light and teasing as he circled my opening. I bit my lower lip to stifle a moan that slipped free as he slid a finger smoothly inside. I couldn’t help but squirm as he touched me so deeply, soon sliding in another finger just as easily.

Fuck. For someone inexperienced, Elias was really good with his hands.

“Oh my dearest,” Elias cooed as he skillfully played with my body like a fine instrument. “My beloved, my sweetest, my only love… You look so beautiful right now, writhing in my arms and making such cute sounds.” He kissed my cheek, then again, marking a trail to my ear. He spoke my name against my ear in a way that sent a shiver down my spine as his… breath(?) caressed me there. “Won’t you use that melodious voice of yours to say my name? Please, my dearest?”

“E-Elias,” I panted, and was immediately rewarded as he pumped his fingers in deeper, sending a jolt of pleasure through me. “Oh fuck, Elias!”

I tried to buck into his hand, but the position made it impossible for me to move much. I was at my husband’s mercy, helpless to do anything but writhe in his grasp and hold onto Elias tightly as he played a concert with my body, coaxing his name out of me again and again. He cooed my name in return as he spoke sweet words of love and praise as he drove me closer and closer to the edge until he sent me over it, screaming his name.

I may have been screwed by marrying Elias, but right now there was nothing I wanted more.

Reference pictures and other things for Father of Time!

I've been messing with Picrews and all to try to get references for my original characters.

I used this picrew because it has some fun options that work well in the Zelda universe. I had to edit on most of the deity markings myself but the picrew does have some skin marks itself! Just not exactly what I was looking for.

Anyway, some pictures ahead! Enjoy!

This is Aevum, the Goddess of Time. Dark skin, black hair, the marks are meant to invoke the feeling of a sundial.

Like the Fierce Deity, her eyebrows seem to be part of the marks in a way. I'm not sure if that's something I'd do with every deity character but it worked out well in this case.

And now Oceanis, the Protector of the Oceans!

Man, his marks were harder. No straight lines here. I'm still not sure they're 100% the way I want but I am not an artist so this is the best you'll get. I'm also not sure his skin is as bronze as I'd like but what can you do?

Remember the Heroine of the Sands? She had a brief appearance.

I was sort of using the Desert Colossus as an inspiration but mostly I just wanted her to look like *sand.* The red markings on this were actually part of the picrew but I really liked them so this might be what I go with.

I was aiming for "younger teens" so around 14 or so. Honestly, it's not bad. The picrew has the perfect hair for him.

Okay I've been offline for a few hours since the original deviantArt DreamUp kaboom happened so I'm trying to piece together the myriad of things that happened in the meantime. I'm now seeing people call everyone who got mad about the situation "overreacting" and "defaulting to outrage" and I don't think that's quite right. I think perhaps a few people misunderstood some wording or didn't get the full picture, but that the overall anger was entirely well-placed.

I might not have everything 100% correct here because I was offline for a bit of the action. If that's the case, let me know—I'd like to get the full picture because I'm still deciding what to do about my dA accounts too.

Disclaimer: This is not a discussion of whether AI art is art or is good or worthwhile. This is just about the dA situation.

The events as they happened until this afternoon:

AI generators have long been scraping dA, among other art sites, for images. Artists widely regard this as shitty. dA had no say in this either.

dA announced that an opt-out is now available (though everyone is opted-in by default, and opting out is a tedious manual process)

dA also announces their own ethical-er AI that credits artists

From that point I went offline for a few hours. I return to

News that the dA Twitter team was awful to some artists who were voicing concerns about this

People insisting it was an overreaction and dA isn't being scummy (the Twitter team sure, but not dA's site team) and

As a result of pushback, dA has now made all work default opted-out.

From where I'm sitting now catching up on the developments...I don't think we really misunderstood dA's original intentions? This sucks? I think some people are being too quick to defend dA here and point fingers at us for being reactionary.

Yes, our images were being used by 3rd party sites without our consent prior to this. Yes, it's nice that we can now opt-out, and I appreciate dA's efforts here. Genuinely, I do. I also appreciate the labeling of AI art and allowing users to choose whether they see AI art or not.

However, it blows that this was originally launched as default opt-in. Several people said "easier opt-out is coming, you're all being dramatic" but I think this was disproven by just how quickly that opt-out came. If they had always intended to make it default opt-out then they should've waited a few more hours or days for that to be done before launching this project/announcement.

I think the default opt-out only came because everyone spoke up and said "hey, wait—we knew AI engines were scraping us without your consent, dA, but now you've just said they DO have consent unless we say otherwise."

To repeat: This blows, and people were right to be angry! Even setting aside how long it would take some people to mark every one of their works as opt-out, even setting aside a single mass opt-out button, having it be default opted-in means that inactive and deceased artists are fair game, just because they didn't say no to a technology that popped up years after they uploaded their work.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate when someone says "mea culpa, we listened and corrected ourselves". We should adjust to new information! But I think it reveals their intent, which is still the core problem here. Prior to the backpedaling, why were things launched like this?

My guess: If I take dA at its word that deviations were not directly used to train DreamUp, then we have to look at how DreamUp WAS trained. dA confirmed it was trained off of Stable Diffusion which was trained in the usual way (that is to say, unethically by dA's own standards!) and dA was just telling us "hey we've been doing this anyway and now we're letting you know kthxbai".

dA wanted things default opt-in because—again, I'm guessing but it tracks—if they made things default opt-out, the field for future AI training (including updates to Stable Diffusion and therefore DreamUp) would thin, and they would come under fire for using so much provably-opted-out material in their training already (which has happened anyway with the new default). They were ensuring the field would continue to be seeded rather than making a very safe guess about how this would go over.

I think it's fair to call that hypocrisy.

I appreciate that dA is trying to shift culture towards an ethical AI model that credits artists...though I believe only certain things will be credited, like if you were explicitly named in a prompt, so...ethical-lite, really. Despite that wrinkle, yes, I think other AIs should do this.

However this ignores the issue that I suspect many, many deviantArt users do not want their art being used in AI at all, even if credited. deviantArt saying "we're protecting you from outside AIs!" does not fix that the call was coming from inside the house this time.

THAT is what people are mad about.

Speaking of, how DID they think this would go over? dA dipping its toes into the AI scene with their own AI, a famously controversial topic amongst non-AI artists? Can't ignore that DreamUp is pay to play too—dA is making money off of DreamUp, just like the other AI engines.

If we shake dA's hand for speaking up for us, we also have to recognize that their other hand is going behind our back and taking a piece of the pie. If you can't beat 'em, monetize 'em I guess.

Also, you may see another opt-out form floating around: You can apply to opt out of having your specific name(s) allowed in DreamUp prompts, though it's heavily implied that they'll only be removing big name artists...Which I suspect is because those are the artists who are already in the unethical training set. Basically, "hey you might appear in this—let us know if you don't want that! But we're not going to tell you who's in there and who's not so just let us know if it might be you."

In my eyes this is (1) admission that yes, dA artists ARE in that set because of how it was originally sourced and (2) allows them a little wiggle room with that nasty default opt-out, because these artists were violated prior to the opt-out and are, in fact, what a substantial portion of the AI model is based on so any AI engine (including an ethical one!) would be reluctant to remove them.

Am I misunderstanding anything here? Because I'm seeing one clear fool at fault who was only cowed by the backlash.

As a final note, there's still one sticking point that is likely outside of dA's control: I suspect the new "noai" command, while a clear mark of non-consent, does not actually prevent 3rd party AIs from continuing to scrape deviations. It now violates dA's ToS to use a noai image, but does that have any teeth? Will dA go to bat for us if other AIs don't respect noai? (I don't think we have the answers to this right now, but it's something to keep an eye on.)

Anyway, I'll stop talking for now. Really feeling like an old timey blog here on tumblr dot com.

When artistic visionary Ann Ghelld passed away, she bequeathed her beloved townhouse to the city as affordable housing for fellow creative types... on one stipulation; that nobody touched its eccentric and wildly impractical layout. While this final request has caused its share of architectural headaches, nonetheless, the Ann Ghelld Building survives in the heart of Sim City’s basket weaving district. Upon crossing its unusual threshold you might grab a coffee from Cafe Urele, pick up a bouquet or snacks from LlaMart Convenience, or simply catch the elevator up to any of its three apartments.

I love watching LilSimsie’s videos, even though we play different editions, and I particularly enjoy her shell challenges - where she uploads empty exterior walls and others have to make a lot out of it. I especially liked this one, referred to lovingly by LilSimsie & her followers as the “Big Mistake Shell Challenge” - because all the exterior walls are 100% diagonal.

This is just as difficult to work around in TS4 as it is in TS2, so I wanted to join in the torture! The (wonky) red lines mark the untouchable shell. I ended up really happy with the results, so I’m sharing this fully-furnished, cleaned, play-tested, CC-free apartment building in the hopes you’ll enjoy it too.

🚨 PLEASE LOAD THIS LOT BEFORE MOVING SIMS IN 🚨

When you move Sims into an apartment, it’s difficult to safely alter anything outside, so please make sure to check that everything is as it should be before you move Sims in.

You do not need CC or mods to play this lot. However, it was made with a few common mods in mind, and if you don’t want to use them, please tweak the lot before playing:

Rugs have been placed off-grid. Either make sure you have Rugs Off The Grid, or delete/move rugs to avoid graphical glitches as seen in these previews.

If you don’t have Water Inaccessible Flowers and Trim Inaccessible Bushes then you may need to move/delete some landscaping and/or fences.

The ground floor was designed for use with Apartments & Shopping On The Same Lot. If you don’t use this mod, nothing bad will happen, but the bottom floor will not sell anything except via the vending machines & electronics kiosk. You can replace the convenience store with a common area such as an indoor pool, computer room, etc, or even another apartment; I honestly recommend leaving the cafe as-is, because your playable Sims can still work there as a barista.

There is no CC in this lot, but there are some deco "accessory” items not normally accessible by players (e.g. a saucepan). If you delete these you may not be able to replace them. Similarly, some items were placed with Shiftable Everything. If you delete some items you may not be able to replace them in the same positions without this mod.

A corner counter in the top apartment may not corner properly when the lot is placed. This can be fixed with moveobjects. Although it clips, it is considered within the apartment, so you can put objects on it without apartment cheats.

If you don’t use Shiftable Trash Chutes, your chutes may appear glitched (see below). This is harmless and can be fixed simply by replacing the chute. Note: the chute on the second floor was originally placed with the cheat setquartertileplacement on.

If you play with CC, then I also have some suggestions for where it might improve this lot:

The expensive computer in the cafe (I hate that hideous thing) would be much better as a laptop.

The flower plots on the rooftop would also make a great produce garden with Honeywell’s placeable garden plots.

You can replace a corkboard in the lobby with a jobs board.

The signs for Cafe Urele might look nicer with a recolour or swapped out for a cute sandwich board.

The bike racks by the basketball court look a bit bare without some deco bikes.

The bare brick wall at the back of the building is prime real estate for some graffiti.

The busker’s guitar out the front will look a little more appropriate with an invisible amp recolour and maybe a decorative case.

If you find all the lights overpowering, don’t forget to turn some off.

And of course, don’t forget to add fences, hedges, etc. that will make this lot blend in better with the surrounding lots in your hood.

The first apartment has two separate bedrooms; Currently, it’s furnished as though occupied by two unrelated roommates - one sewist and one musician - but it could also work for a parent and a child. It has this kitchenette common area as well as a small balcony.

The second apartment is the most “luxury”. It’s a cozy open-plan studio with a double bed, a small but quality kitchen, and its own balcony. This is ideal for a D.I.N.K couple or perhaps a single Romance Sim.

The top apartment is the smallest and cheapest, barely fitting a kitchenette and single bed, but there’s space to move out on the building’s largest balcony. Perfect for an artsy single Sim working or studying in the big city. (The little reading nook bumpout is my favourite detail.)

All bathrooms are more or less identical, with a toilet, basin, medicine cabinet, trash can, and shower. The second floor studio has a shower/bath combo.

I wanted the lot to have free skilling opportunities, so all residents have access to the rooftop garden and free use of the crafting station & chess set there. There’s also a bookcase in the cafe, a guitar on the street for busking, an outdoor gym, and a basketball hoop.

Sims should be able to access everything (except the flowers/hedges - see above) without routing errors, though of course, with such an “interesting” layout, your Sims might get a bit cramped and fussy. The only issue I ran into is that there’s nowhere on the second floor for the newspaper to be delivered, so it often glitches into the apartment on the left, regardless of which apartment you live in. You can retrieve the paper in buy mode without cheats. This is not an issue on the top floor.

@maegor_the_cool on tiktok word-for-word stole your post about queen alysanne and is passing it off as their own in the comments on their most recent video. when i asked them about it, they claimed they didn't know it was yours and they got it from a forum, which doesn't really make it okay that they pretended it was their own words, and now they're claiming you gave them permission but i highly doubt it. just thought i'd let you know.

Oh, lovely! No, this person has never contacted me, I just looked through my entire inbox to make sure. I went and checked out the video and yep they literally took it verbatim. For reference y'all, here is the original post, which you can see I made on 2/28/2023. The TikTok creator got it from this post, which you can see was made on 3/7/2023, over a week after I made my original post. The forum poster is also passing off my content as their own in the comments on that thread. And here are screenshots from the TikTok posted 14 hours ago, since they turned sharing off:

...So I guess this is time to remind everyone that if you repost my stuff without my knowledge and without crediting me, you are doing so without my permission and I do not support it. I've said yes to 100% of the people who've asked me permission, so I don't understand why this seems to be a recurring issue. Also, a 1-minute Google search for this post would have turned up my blog, so it's not like this person couldn't find me because it was too hard. They just didn't check their source before using it. It's a shame, because I checked out the comments and we both 100% agree on the subject matter.

Here's a handy little guide to how to responsibly and respectfully repost my content:

Send me an ask with information about where to find the repost (usually platform + username will do). I'll say yes, but just please ask me so I know it's out there.

Credit me VISIBLY in the post. Please don't hide it somewhere, make it front and center the way an artist does with their watermark. In fact, putting my Tumblr URL in as a watermark is a super easy way to do this!

If you come across my content but you don't know it's me, but you for sure know it's not YOURS, maybe don't pretend it's yours? And maybe spend 1-2 minutes copying and pasting it into Google, which will lead you right to my blog.

If the content has been posted in multiple places, it's still really easy to find the original. Check the dates the posts were made and use the earliest post when crediting. For example, in this instance, the forum post was made a week after mine, which proves mine to be the original. Again, it only takes 1-2 minutes to check this using Google.

I really would prefer for them to delete the video and reupload it with proper credit, especially since it's been up for only 14 hours. There's a link here that explains how you can do this while saving the video so you don't have to re-format everything. I'd also prefer for the forum poster to acknowledge that they stole my content. But this is the Internet, so while I can ask for people to be honest and respectful about my content I unfortunately can't enforce it. :(

Edit: The TikTok creator reached out to me and they've re-uploaded the video with credit, which I appreciate! And they did get consent from the forum poster, just unfortunately that poster had stolen it from me. It's still not great that they didn't check their source, and that they didn't even credit the forum user at first. It's a good practice to copy and paste something into Google to check that you do indeed have the original source before reposting.

The forum user has now added a line to credit me at the top of his post. I'm still pissed at him for trying to get away with passing my words off as his own though. At least the TikTok creator asked the forum user first, but the forum user just stole my words without even asking me. What a man moment, to steal the credit for a woman's ideas 😒

hello! i saw your post about the katrielle layton manga and I am having a hard time finding any info online about it. Could I ask if you have anything to share in regards to it? thanks for reading this btw

Absolutely!

First off, an official French translation is available used on Amazon. That's what I got.

The artist and writer is Kahori Orito, who has done a few other series, including a pokemon manga.

The chapters are adaptations on cases 1-11, except case 9, and there's one manga original involving a missing dog. They aren't in the same order as the game. Instead, it's: (vol. 1) 1, 2, 8, 7, manga original, (vol. 2) 4, 6, 5, 3, 10, 11. The cases are very stripped down compared to the game and anime, but the pacing is pretty good, so it doesn't feel rushed, at least to me.

Kat is in a different outfit every chapter, not just game outfits either. Orito really likes putting Kat in different outfits, which is valid! Relating to that, within each chapter, there are a couple of bonus images of mostly Kat, 1 of Emiliana, and 4 of Ernest in different outfits that all look fantastic.

There are a couple of anime aspects, like Kat comparing cases to sweets, the specific Wight House hauntings (but the haunted mirror was included here ^v^), Kat getting a gift after finding Rex (but in the manga it's a plate), and a dog Sherl talks to for information looks more like Geowly than Yapper. Although Vic and Tim look completely different from the anime designs.

In the first volume, there are a couple of puzzle sections in between chapters, I might upload pictures of those later, actually. There's also a couple of short extra stories at the end, the first has to do with perfume, and the second involves the trio splitting a cute cake and Kat getting half of it because of course she does.

Okay, a couple of changes I found notable

In case 5, Ernest and Sherl just didn't go to the haunted house, and it was only Emiliana and Kat, and it was refreshing after rewatching the anime adaptation that doesn't have her in the case at all. The end of Case 5 was a Halloween costume party, and Hastings and the Lipskis were there. It was great.

In case 3, Seymour shoves Kat to the ground when she almost touches one of his projectors!

As far as I could tell, Case 8 didn't have the scavenger hunt. It was just a short tour as a distraction. I'm not 100% sure on that, though, because one of the little angle statues did show up.

Cesar's head actually looks kinda normal

I do plan to upload scans of the pages in a month or two when I'll have access to a scanner (I also have plans to figure out translating, but that's obviously more time-consuming).

hi!!! i am not too busy! i'm aghase for life so i am very happy to help you out here, got7 is seriously one of the best groups ever, and one of the top 2 groups to come out of jyp. it's crazy that they got it so right twice in a row. 2pm are, like, the godfathers of got7, and it is actually pretty endearing to see that some of them are very close! junho considers jinyoung of got7 his dongsaeng and they are very good friends (as seen on junho's most recent i live alone appearance). more under the cut!

anyways. so, got7 are, in age order: mark (rapper, visual, american member), jayb (leader, main vocal), jackson (main rapper, face of the group, chinese member), jinyoung (lead vocal, dancer, visual, center, face of the group), youngjae (main vocal), bambam (rapper, thai member), yugyeom (main dancer, vocal, maknae).

the entire rap line of got7 is the international line or called the atk (amerithaikong) line, which is insane if you think about it. entire rap line (rap!!!!) made of some dudes who aren't even performing in their first language. that takes guts and talents. every member in the group has either produced or written songs for got7, jaebeom is their primary producer, but so are jinyoung and youngjae. yugyeom, too. jinyoung has been known to choreograph for the group, and vigilantly monitors their performances. bambam is the most fashion forward member and it is all over his body of work, which is so exciting.

jackson is jackson, like, that is literally jackson wang and if you open youtube and type in his name you will find tons of videos because he is really the face of the group and a very well established solo artist, too. here is his latest big single blow which is truly a serve, the earworm inducing 100 ways, and my personal favorite LMLY. here is jackson answering the web's most searched questions and his little stint on the late late show with james corden.

got7 song association, elle; this is a very easy and breezy intro to who got7 is and their very own, personal brand of clownery.

got7 takes a friendship test, glamour; this is one of my favorite videos of got7, and my comfort video too. it is funny and sweet and you learn a lot about the members and their chemistry.

crash & burn, be original; yugyeom and jackson choreographed this. one of the coolest performances they have ever done.

crash & burn, music bank; they performed live here and i always include this in my recs because of youngjae's stunning live adlibs (at 3:00). he is on par with minjun of 2pm as the best vocalist jyp has ever had. it's truly bonkers.

you are van live; this is my favorite got7 title track and this is one of the best and funniest and realest things they have ever done. live performers.

never ever cooking live; they sing and decorate a cake. what is not to adore.

1° tape; their live performance of spinning top's 1°. one of the best songs in their entire discography, written by yugyeom. everyone is so stunning here, especially youngjae.

if you do, mbc music festival; iconic performance of an absolutely perfect track. they slowed it down in the first half but the performance does not suffer whatsoever.

just right comeback stage; their big breakthrough hit. like 2pm, rookie got7 were known for their intense martial arts choreography.

lullaby pyjama version; live in living color, baby! this song has insanely fun choreography.

AAA awards medley; the greatest to ever do it. absolute beasts.

poison, be original; this is just a great song with such clever choreography (by jinyoung, yugyeom and jackson), once again. there is one performance where jinyoung forgot his handkerchief.

runaway, 6th fanmeeting; the only time they performed the greatest track in their entire discography live. written and produced by jinyoung.

breath (written and produced by youngjae), you are, fan favorite page, encore, not by the moon, thursday, you calling my name (including yugyeom’s very own gashina moment)

on top of it all, the members all have solo careers. jaebeom has  released under his stage name jay b (including the breakdancing he was known for in got7) and his producer tag Def. yugyeom is at AOMG, which houses LeeHi and GRAY, and has released quite a bit solo stuff. his collab with gray, all your fault, is absolutely brilliant and required listening. bambam is at abyss now, the same label sunmi is at, and has shown the world that he is a true allrounder. he is now a fixed cast member of variety show master in the house.

youngjae is at sublime, the very same company handling all of jackson's korean releases, and i just want them to finally make jjap jjap project a real thing. here they both are on youngjae's radio show, best friend! youngjae starred in midnight sun (musical) last year, and he starred in so not worth it, netflix's first korean sitcom, and it is as delightful as it sounds. his solo music is very poppy and cool; here is sugar, his latest comeback. youngjae is such a special case because he only trained for a few months after he got into jyp, and then debuted straight off the bat as the main vocal. he won awards in high school for his singing and he made it a point to often perform fully live (occasionally blowing out his voice in the process, but hey, that's dedication.)

jinyoung is the most established actor in all of got7. he most recently starred in the second season of yumi's cells, and the tvn drama The Devil Judge (HUGE recommendation). he had a cameo in the first episode of reborn rich, and starred in he is psychometric and when my love blooms. he has just released his first solo album, but his first ever solo release dive is outstanding. perfect pop rock.

mark has released an entire solo album, including the singles last breath, my life, and lonely. those songs are so mind-bogglingly good, it is hard to comprehend that got7's most introverted member just came out of the gate swinging right away.

their best albums imo are: spinning top, call my name, 7 for 7, breath of love, and the entire flight log trilogy that has to be seen as a full body of work.

flight log is got7's own, lore heavy narrative (like bts' most beautiful moment), that starts with flight log: departure and corresponding title track fly, is continued by flight log: turbulence and iconic got7 banger hard carry, and ends with flight log: arrival and the incomparable never ever. jinyoung is the protagonist of the story, and it is all very, y'know. life and death. very tragic and beautiful.

This is Hyunjin!

His full name is Hwang Hyunjin and he was born in South Korea on March 20, 2000. He can speak English pretty well, although I wouldn’t say he’s fully fluent yet. From what I’ve seen other Stays say, he’s worked really hard to learn English as best he can so he can communicate with fans (all the boys not fluent in English do that, honestly). I’ve also seen some people say that he even majored in English, but I can’t seem to find a reliable source, so I’m not 100% sure on that. His English name is actually Sam (I just find this fact kind of funny because my name is Sam!)

Hyunjin was originally saddled with the visual title of the group, but he’s so much more than just a pretty face. He’s worked extremely hard to be a very skilled dancer/rapper and his vocal skills are definitely underappreciated! Although he is definitely skilled in multiple areas, he’s arguably best known for his dancing. Fans tend to go crazy over Hyunjin’s fancams, and you’ll definitely get recommended some once you start to get into the group. There’s also a couple of solo, self-choreographed dance videos of him that he’s uploaded to the Stray Kids youtube channel, and I highly recommend them.

Songs I personally loved him in:

Vocals: Little Star; Red Lights; Sorry I Love You (he kind of rap-sings in this one, but I’d say parts of it are more singing); Secret Secret;

Rap: Muddy Water; Tortoise and the Hare; Venom; District 9; Easy

Dance: Dance cover to ‘when the party’s over’ by Billie Eilish; his dance cover to ‘Play with Fire’ ; his Artist of the Month video; there’s a ton of videos of him dancing, honestly. I linked a bunch of fancams in his playlist!

He also just released a solo song called ‘ice.cream’ that he wrote himself (and also did the artwork for, I believe)!

He’s a really talented artist and has shared multiple artworks with fans on Instagram or Bubble. He’s also shared a few videos of him actually making these artworks. He’s come a long way since he first started sharing his art with fans!

Hyunjin is my personal pick for the funniest member of the group. Ever since I first started getting into Stray Kids, he has consistently made me laugh out loud and I never get tired of it. Pretty much everyone refers to him as a drama queen, which definitely fits, as you’ll see if you watch any compilation video on youtube of him or the group. His facial expressions and reactions to things are always just so funny, it’s great.

I currently have a tag on my page called ‘everyone loves hyunjin’ because the other group members (specifically, Han and Changbin are the top two worst offenders, lmao) are constantly flirting with him, and it’s hilarious.

It’s hard to say what other fans think is his defining physical trait. I see a lot of things about him talked about pretty equally. And although I am partial to his laugh/smile,

 I’m going to say people seem to love his hair/hair styles. Some styles/colors I’ve seen talked about a lot would be (many fans seem to like his hair when it longer):

Hyunjin’s SKZOO character is a ferret named Jiniret. From what I can tell, after doing some research, his is a ferret because he kind of looks like one and his dancing is fluid like a ferret’s movements. Not 100% sure if that’s correct, but it’s the best explanation I could find. (Jiniret even has the mole under his eye like Hyunjin!) (Also, love the Jiniret holding FoxI.Ny in that pic below, because Hyunjin is really close with I.N. and it’s a cute little detail.)

What is a Big Bang? A Big Bang is an event in which writers and artists are matched up with each other. Fic writers who take part basically do what they do best: they write fic. Artists can claim certain fics based on the summaries provided by the fic writers and they create artwork to go with it.

How can I participate (in what function)? You can sign up as Artist, Writer and Beta-Reader. All options will be available on our sign-up sheet!

Do I need to have an AO3 account? If you're an author, we strongly suggest you get one. (We have spare invitations, should you need one!)

We can also post your fic as Anonymous, if you do not wish to create an AO3 account. This means that your Tumblr account will be linked in the work, so people can reach out to you and find your work there as well! If you choose to do this, you would need to share the document that contains your completed fic with us at least one week before the submission deadline. Your artist would also need to provide us with your art. We would also need to know how you would like to arrange the art in your fic. Please know it takes a lot of time to upload a story and check all the formatting and artwork inclusions, so we will need this time to ensure your submission is in the collection by our deadline date.

Can I participate with a reader-insert story? Yes, you can.

Why does Vikings: Valhalla not count as a crossover? Vikings: Valhalla is set 100 years after the original Vikings show and it still mentions canon characters. Therefore it's the same universe, just later.

What is Claiming? Claiming means the Artists will get a list of summaries that are numbered and a link to a Google Sheet to send us the numbers of the summaries they are interested in. Neither the authors, nor the artists know who is behind the numbers. The artists will choose the summary that piques their interest and submit their desired numbers as soon as possible. Time is of the essence here!

How will readers know who is working together when I'm the only creator in my work? Every author will gift their story to the artist that is paired with them. You are free to mention your collaboration in the author's note at the beginning of your story. (We strongly suggest doing that, because it's sweet and respectful to thank your artist.)

What do we need to do to make sure our work will show up as new story on AO3? For this event we ask you to put the Vikings Big Bang account (not our own individual accounts) as your co-creator to make sure the release date of your fic will be correct and show up as new story once it has been revealed.

When is the deadline to submit my work? The deadline to post your work to the AO3 Collection is April 30th. If you choose to submit your fic anonymously, your deadline is April 23rd.

What happens on the days of the reveal? We have a schedule that means that every Artist/Author pair will have two days to post their art/story. When the work is revealed on AO3, the pair will have 48 hours to post and promote their work. Our Vikings Big Bang blog will post a link to your story on your first reveal day at 3PM CET, just like we did in the Winter Event '22. You are free to post on Tumblr in the 48 hours that follow this 3PM reveal.

It's kind of frustrating that the arguments against AI went from the incredibly valid claim of "this is using art without permission and imitating artists' styles in ways that affect their income" to "any and all AI creation is terrible and people who use it are all money-grubbing assholes"

I think that if we want to be professional artists we need to be more educated on copyright law and what different copyrights mean. For instance, artwork older than 100 years is largely in the public domain and can be used; you can separately copyright a photograph of that artwork, but the art itself is free to use, distribute, sell, and alter.

For more modern art and current artists, I did some digging into the Wikipedia page on Creative Commons:

A lot of people online upload their art with a Creative Commons license: this is described as "when an author wants to give other people the right to share, use, and build upon a work that the author has created". If your work was uploaded with a Creative Commons Attribution license, that clearly states that others can use your work, it just has to be sourced as from your art. So, if an AI trains off of your art, they just have to openly state that it trained off of it. If you don't like what they're doing with it, use a different license on it that prohibits altering or profiting off of it.

Most people intend to use a Creative Commons NonCommercial, which instead "bans commercial use and requires you to release any modified works under this license". Notice the difference that the "noncommercial" adds to that? The Noncommercial means that they can't profit off of it, and states very clearly that they can't use it for anything that would create a profit.

I also don't see much art anywhere that uses the "No Derivative Works" section of these licenses, which is the part that would prevent creating any transformative art with the image (so, for example, if you didn't even want people making AI trained off of it without any profit). As much as people like to claim it's straight forgery, an AI is transformative art in the definition of the term, taking an existing artwork and making another image derivative of it; this of course assumes that the person creating the derivative art makes something different enough to constitute a new work, which is an issue modern art has been arguing back and forth for over a century (just listen to anyone talking about Pop Art and Warhol)

This is a Creative Commons copyright chart from the Wikipedia page I linked earlier, with the top being Public Domain and the bottom being All Rights Reserved. If you don't want anyone doing anything with your work, you need all of the boxes ticked in order to make sure it isn't altered, copied, remixed, or sold. If you don't have that license, that is why your art can be used as a source--because you didn't say the image you openly put on a public platform couldn't be used that way.

So basically, I think that if people were willing to make copyright distinctions more widely known, then it would be much more possible to use an AI that didn't use things that were under the "No Derivative Works" category. But people aren't listing their works as that, and then they're getting angry when that doesn't apply to their art.

Do I think that this is the fault of the artist? Not really. But do I think it makes the AI trainers awful, thieving people? Also no. Copyright is made to prevent the theft of something that you've created, and it's important to legally label where your art stands; if you don't say "hey you can't make and sell derivative art of this", you don't really have much of a foothold to say you don't want someone selling derivative art of it.

I honestly want the art and AI communities to work together to make both more unique, original, manmade art and also more cool AI generated images. I want to see a world where an artist can say "yeah I drew this but I couldn't manage this one detail, so that's AI generated and blended in" and that's not seen as shameful or disgusting. I want AI folks to realize that if they get the proper permissions, they get better art to source from.

I just think it's a really nuanced issue being presented as a black-and-white, one or the other scenario when we could do so much with both.
