Sebastian had to be, at one point or another, seen as the weird kid before everyone realized he was cool. Like the kid that knew everything but would only say the weird fact's he knew and so for the longest time the other student's were like "This kid's a weirdo" until he started beating older kids in duels and then they thought he was the coolest thing ever for that.

“It’s okay.” Louis’ voice was calm and gentle. Not a trace of fear in his brave glance. If you knew him well enough, you could have caught a hint of insecurity holding back his confidence by a thin thread. He would get away with it a moment after.

“I trust you. You’re the only one I trust.” A whisper only meant for him, to reassure his inner dilemma, to cuddle the intrusive feeling of guilt that was making his hands shake.

The black kopis felt heavy in the middle of his chest. Louis paid enough attention to the historical weapons lessons to recognize the effigy on the handgrip. It was strangely thrilling to find comfort in the thought that Alexander Magnus used the same knife to cut the Gordian knot, literally and proverbially. Almost ironic how much the entire situation could be fitting the metaphor so well.

The pale fingers wrapped around the handle were the perfect contrast to what was going on in his breaking soul. The intentions were so clear, still Louis could see on his face all the second thoughts he was having.

“I trust you and I love you.” Louis reassured him. He hoped this wouldn’t have taken any longer. There wasn’t another way to go through this. Louis felt his own throat go dry and suddenly it became harder to breathe. A flash of determination crossed over his face and Louis knew it could have been the last time he saw those emerald eyes.

That’s one way to go, anyway.

“Do it.” Never had his voice sounded more powerful.

He stared in his eyes when a broken gasp let out his lungs.

“Ad vitam aeternam.” The heavy knife with a forward-curving blade was pushed down, to cut his chest in two.

When Louis’ heart realized there was not a single glimpse of hesitation in Harry’s eyes, it beat for the last time.
