Pucci literally ended the universe not for DIO, but for his dead sister. He felt guilty over her death and wants to force everyone to know their fate so they can make peace with any fucked up thing that's going to happen to them. He believes that if he knew that Perla was going to die or if his brother was alive, he would've accepted it. His relationship with Weather Report and Perla impacted him more than his relationship with DIO. All that DIO did was reinforce his trauma and tell him about the heaven plan. Pucci tailored the heaven plan for his own benefit and for his own motivations.

Also, don't ship him with DIO; Pucci was literally 15-16 when he was friends with him.

the thought recently came to my mind and stayed there since so I really need to share it with someone. do you think in case jgy and/or nmj get resurrected/reborn with their memories intact post-canon, they would hold some kind of resentment towards lxc? for jgy, I think it's pretty in-character for him to disregard his part in ruining lxc's trust and lying and inadvertently using him in killing nmj, and simply be upset with the stabbing. and for nmj it's too pretty obvious of a moment of 'I told you so!', and lxc not listening to his warnings eventually got him killed. on the other hand, lxc has plenty of time to reflect on everything that has happened, and I doubt fierce corpses have any sense of time and space in order to process everything. I've just never seen this aspect in any of the post-canon fix-its I've read

Oh yay I love getting anons! I hope it’s ok if I tl;dr disagree with some of these ideas and give you my own :’) Let me start with: jgy and nmj at the end of the story are non-sentient fierce corpses (or, in jgy’s case, just a corpse that has not turned yet) so there won’t be any talking or processing anything at all. So, let us assume they are brought back in the exact same mental state they were at when they died.

I’m no NMJ scholar, mind you, but - while I think he would absolutely be angry when he comes back, I also think he would not be justified in being angry.  Certainly not at LXC! He’d likely be mad at LXC, JGY, NHS, and basically everyone but himself... but he is at least partially responsible for the situation that led to his own death. (Remember, he tried to kill JGY three times before JGY retaliated, and he never once stopped pressuring him to go against his father, which JGY genuinely could not do without being exiled or worse.) JGY would likely not have killed him had he not become a threat to his life first. Would NMJ still tell LXC “I told you so”? Probably. But LXC is absolutely not responsible for his death in any way, and absolutely does not deserve that anger. NMJ’s warnings that JGY would “be a danger to the world” were unfounded paranoia, entirely unrelated to the reasons for his eventual murder. Whether NMJ comes to term with that fact, though, I don’t really know. I have a rather uncharitable view of his canonical beliefs and his way of handling just about any situation that involved JGY, so... unless death changes him as a person, I am skeptical. Now for the xiyao part of the deal (you asked me, you had to be expecting this to be mainly about xiyao!)

I have given this one some thought previously, contemplating various postcanon AUs and things I wanted to write. I think it could go both ways... JGY would be justified in being angry with Lan Xichen, that is what his epic final speech seems to imply - he has always protected LXC (from hurt, from involvement, from horrible truths) and in return, he gets stabbed! But canonically we know that, even at his angriest, he still pushed LXC away to save his life. So was he still angry at him? Would he be angry at him after he comes back? Of course it’s complicated, but I’m leaning towards no. Especially when he knows that Huaisang tricked LXC, and he knows it was likely the accumulation of his revealed deeds that had shaken LXC’s faith in the first place. I think eventually he’d blame himself for it, rather than Lan Xichen.

There is a quote that stuck with me from one of the very first fics I read in this fandom years ago, from JGY to LXC;

“I forgive you,” he says roughly. “I forgave you before I was even dead[...]”

I think, ultimately, that’s how I see it. Whether LXC forgives himself, that’s another story entirely.

Risen demons as in the reverse concept of fallen angels?

There's only so much i can say on this for spoiler reasons, but risen demons in the bteverse are pretty unheard of. Angels are INCREDIBLY picky to the point they dont even let humans into thier part of heaven. Anyone who DOES get to heaven only stays there for a certain amount of time before theyre sent back to the "waiting room" which is purgatory. So if they wont even let perfectly innocent humans into thier club what chance does a demon have?

Angels are gatekeepers. That's what they do.

If a risen demon was to come about, which in theory is possible but less likely than a water pistol extinguishing the sun, it would be completely unprecidented. And as long as Michael is in charge it will Not slide.

The best outcome for a "risen demon" would be to become "human". but why would they want that.

...but lets entertain the theory for a second. What would a risen demon be like and how would it differ from an angel?

first of all, they would be the only angels who have No Wings. No wings and no rank. Over time they could "earn" wings and rank but for aformantioned reasons that would be.... difficult. They would also keep thier horns and would not be in tune with The Metatron. There is no method to add a halo core to an organism, which is the core that keeps an angel tied to god. It can be removed and replaced with an "echo" core to prevent an angels core energy from wasteing away on seperation from the light, but as halo cores and soul cores are created together there is no way to reverse the process. So, in the eyes of the angels, a demon is still a demon nometter who it allies itself with. A risen demon would never truely be accepted into the light. They would be outcasts even among angels unless there was serious change.

This exclusivity is one of the reasons Lucifer fell in the first place. Why must one conform to such obscenely high and unreachable standards to get into heaven. Not even the angels themselves carry themselves to the standards they hold others to.

An angel is just a demon disguised by the light.

V. What went well for you this year? What was your greatest victory?

I managed a half-decent fic in a matter of weeks instead of several months! That was pretty cool. And I’ve stuck to my new year’s resolution of just interacting more with content creators instead of admiring their work from afar. Which has gone very well for me indeed, hearts to all at the HDR server

E. Write anything e-rated this year? ; ) What’s your target audience for any given story?

Nothing outside of collaborations that will never see the light of day :’D I don’t do smut to publish so much anymore. My target audience? If I’m being completely honest I don’t write with anybody in mind outside of me, trying to follow an idea through, and my close friends/servermates. Anybody else is still an unexpected and pleasant bonus.

N. Anything you were planning to write that never got written?

God, always. I’ve got all the WIPs, nom. All of them. I’m most thoroughly disappointed in myself for not making as much progress on either of my multichapter fics as I wanted but hey, they’re supposed to be long, and I hope to do them even if it takes me years.

T. Themes, motherfucker, do you have them? What are they?

I don’t know if I have full on themes, but I’m awfully fond of trapping two characters in each other’s proximity and making them have hard-to-have conversations. And it probably says something about me that the general structure of both of my long WIPs is ‘man kills deity, has a crisis, isolates himself for introspection and to figure out what he wants to do’. Other than that I guess I’m really big on sensory descriptions though that’s not really a ‘theme’ so much as a ‘general writing quirk’.

O. Do you believe in outlines? Show us one!

I do believe in outlines for longer things. And these outlines are in fact very long so I’ll refrain from showing them off. sorry!!

In a world where I have time to do a “director’s cut” of where ends become beginnings, I would love to expand on the fact that Yoshihiro and Enya have some very cool parallels with each other. Keepers of the stand arrow(s), son who has done atrocious things, a blind protectiveness for them despite the atrocities... it’s part of the reason why I felt like Enya being the one to approach him was more impactful than DIO really could be.

(Also, as evidenced way back in where your loyalty lies, I honestly have no real clue how to write or deal with DIO, so I kind of let him be a looming presence.)

That entire scene was going to be a lot longer, but due to zine character limitations I did have to rework my original plans some, as that was going to be... probably a good third of the fic, at one point. It’s probably a little tighter for it, but one of these days I’d like to revisit Enya’s part in all of DIO’s schemes to get a round 2 going for that particular character interaction.

I also liked writing about these particular characters, because it let me really sit there and think about how Part 4 tried to expand upon DIO’s reach without every actually... explaining why. The Stand arrows can be a little convoluted at times, changing a bunch of hands for a lot of different reasons, but I do think this particular exchange could have been a little more purposeful. DIO’s always got a failsafe! Spreading out his amazing magical arrows does seem like a smart idea, if one I could see him delegating while he’s busy with revenge.
