yesterday on the highway i changed lanes to make way for ppl merging in, before it could become a problem situation. finally a driving win

#still haven't driven without my mom as the passenger yet but i'm still proud of this level up #like 2-3 weeks ago i had a pretty iffy problem situation with cars merging in. so my mom told me abt this technique #and for a while since then i was shaky while highway driving bc i wasn't used to watching out for the need to change lanes #whenever i neared the exit/entrance area where ppl merge onto the highway. like i had to actively think abt it every time #but i finally got to the point where it's habit and was able to employ it #also i took a driving L on the way to my tourney on sat. so i'm just happy the drive home from there + drive home yesterday were good

1. After. I truly think MONTHS of putting it off I finally transferred to my new phone. I think it took me so long partially cause of misplaced loyalty/nostalgia for the dinky little goofy ass phone I’ve had for 7 years (which was already secondhand when I bought it) and partially cause I’d just gotten so USED to its inefficiencies. You get used to a broken battery, a camera that doesn’t work, and a system that gets so anxious at the notion of having 2 apps open that it almost always crashes. You can work around that shit. Who will I become when I finally get a phone that works… Well that’s the reality now and I’ll gladly admit I’m a different person I’ve gone mad with power I’ve taken 40 pictures today and texted and scrolled for HOURS and its still at 36%!!!!!! Is this how yall have been living???? Look at this camera!!!

2. Its time to stop lying to myself; I’m an excellent driver but I DESPISE driving. I’ve had my license for 2 yrs now and I’ve tried to force myself to get as comfortable driving as I am biking but ITS JUST NOT IN THE CARDS. Nothing activates my anxiety like operating a metal explosion box & casually being responsible for a bunch of HUMAN LIVES while at it. I drive very responsibly and safely, & specifically asked my instructor to coach me into driving smoothly.. cruise style… so THEORETICALLY having me as your driver should be a very pleasant experience. And it is! If you manage to ignore that I’m audibly crying the whole time.

Like a trip to target and I'm done for the next two days but I went and just drove to PA on a whim the other week and I had so much fun! And then I only had to rest ONE day!

I get to explore without the body draining expense of walking
