Okok, putting my thoughts here real quick so we have SOME form of legibility on the time line. Everything here is canon, if stated otherwise, ignore that

Streamer Enid au info:

Wenclair are 23-25 smth and they married at 18 right out Nevermore.

Enid or known as Endespair streams horror games to get over her queasiness over gore faster. She's known for being a simp for Wednesday Addams, proudly proclaiming that she is her wife. No one believes her and think she's a stan

She also has some experience being a stunt double and occasional minor actor known by word of mouth as Sin Addams.

Wednesday Addams is an author, director, actor, executive director-basically she's a badass idk what to tell you. Essentially, she's been traveling all over the place and working since she hit 19.

Bc of this, wenclair have been in a ldr bc the have been way too dependent on each other for so long and enid wanted to make sure they could grow as people first before going together.

She also is coming home to Enid the moment she finished writing her final book for a decade or so 'Lycoan Curse' bc she's finally done with projecting/processing all her trauma onto her books.

Wednesday Addams has written a total of six books. First five are known as the Viper series with Viper de la muerte being the Mc and told in first person.

First three is abt Wednesday's life pre Nevermore and the other 3 is the remaining 3 years in Nevermore.

Viper: Hyden truths is literally abt what happened with Tyler in season 1 but glossing over the love triangle. It introduces new characters, like the stunted werewolf roommate Helios

(Enid insisted in the pun in the title.. Also fun fact, if u just say the hel part of helios, it almost sounds like the command 'heel')

Viper: Snake in the grass is abt the stalker teased in the end of Hyden truths. More of Helios' werewolfness/instincts are shown and they grow closer. Viper learns to be more open and Helios showcases more of her culture to Viper. The stalker has made the two more sneakier, making sure to keep close and going through multiple pranks where the two nearly get severely harmed.

(it was around here that people started shipping imperial gold, not really expecting the underlying tension of two roommates taking care of each other's injuries and the intimacy of such actions)

Lunar Ecplise: Lycoan Curse is the first book that skipped the single POV streak Wednesday had. This time, it features a new perspective Helios' and it became a hit. This one was a rather girthy asf book, considering that it was written as either a standalone or a continuation of the Viper series.

It's also the movie/show? Idk tbh, it's still being decided. Its the book being adapted to a film/show that Enid and Wednesday star in.

Nevermore is known as Eden in the book. Despite it's rather heavenly name, it still looks edgy like Nevermore. it's more of an eden for outcasts yknow

I'M PULLING UP THE CHAIR WHAT IS GOING ON WITH ALKAID. PLEASE. IM PLAYING CLARENCE'S ROUTE RN N IM OUT OF STAMINA BUT I WAS SO CLOSE TO PICKING ALKAID

Alright so spoilers ahead, of course. I'll try to share whatever I understood from the routes.

Alkaid is the Master of Eden. He controls the Lost and the Fallen. He lives in a secluded mansion, away from the other people so he can control the main gate, keep Eden "safe" and all that.

.1 [Spoilers from Ayn's ending] Eden lives off by siphoning energy from other worlds. And after defeating Alkaid at the end of Ayn's route, we see a huge canon facing Earth. The countdown resembles the time when Earth will be destroyed – and everyone dies, of course. Then, together with Ayn, MC breaks the canon, fixes stuff, and everything goes back to normal (Ayn's ending).

There's also a bad ending in Ayn's route where MC becomes the Master of Eden, and keeps earth safe. But she can't move on from that place, and thus she remains stuck inside the Control Gate place, "protecting" Eden. And I suppose, that's why Alkaid acts so calm and reserved; technically, he's not used to the rough survival place outside.

^my theory above might be incorrect since we haven’t unlocked Alkaid's route yet. There's something wrong with that Alkaid looking child asking for help, definitely.

.2 There's also a secret ending in the prologue. If you choose Alkaid at first, you’ll get a secret epilogue "Peace in Eden". There, you can see Alkaid acting all yandere-ish and slaying his role fr fr. (Okay, I should stop simping-)

Instead of choosing a side, MC decides to go to Alkaid's mansion for help. And Alkaid invites her in.

And afterwards, Alkaid keeps MC by his side, forever. MC is under the illusion that everything is fine while being secluded from the outside world

Eden is sealed off, the timer ends, and no one can ever enter Eden.

At the end, we see Lars tryna get in, but fails everytime

Alkaid's yandere era is slaying fr.

1. alt calliope

she was basically responsible for voring LE no longer existing so that was why eden is looking for her in hs^2

she absolutely despises her but is also intrigued.. keep in mind alt calliope did predominate the natural way so she's way more mature than both her alternate self and caliborn.. which has eden like i hate you, but i sort of respect you? but i'm also curious about you 🤨 🏳️‍🌈

2. hs^2 calliope (candy timeline)

she went to the candy timeline looking for alt callie but she was already gone. she went to roxy's to force her to recreate die's (6) juju so she'd get the felt back and took calliope ''hostage'' so the kids (can we even call them kids at this point) wouldn't try anything.

she doesn't try to harm calliope or anything though, in fact she treats her like she's a cookie that might crumble if you're even a bit harsh to her.. she did hear horrible things about callie from caliborn, but taking caliborn's personality into consideration.. she took it with with a grain of salt 😆 so when she goes to roxy's, she was NOT prepared to see her of all people in person.. which makes her incredibly nervous, she didn't expect calliope to be on earth c and definitely didn't expect her to be THAT cute

3. regular homestuck calliope (?)

happy launch day, kayo! she's my little pookie i love her so much that i bully her constantly through the narrative

in honor of today, i'll be dumping some REALLY old doodles (really old = two-three months ago) when i started working on her! unlike most of my dumps, i'll be describing and giving more context to the drawings! think of it as a little timeline of her development :D

drawing 1: our earliest kayo?!

this was dated january 17 2023. yeah. 2023. this year.

geez, was that really my art style just three months ago?

yes, unfortunately. though i'll attribute the fact that kayo looks 12 here mostly to the fact that i was still getting used to using an ipad to draw--still, you can really see that i had her design 90% down from the start. just changed her parting a little and removed the flower accessory + little ombre(?) in her hair.

at first, she was going to be a LOT closer to yui, but then if she was, she would've intervened as early as more blood, which was not something i was aiming for. plus, isn't it more fun thinking that she barely knows her (and yet pulls the stunt of taking her place for her sake... what a loser)

also, at first, she was going to just be straight up meaner for no reason. like literally just the worst person you can think of, but a problem with that is that she would definitely get killed if she was just horrible and toxic. plus, that was kind of boring on my end as well, so she kind of turned into a meowmeow.

adding to the old concept though, all her endings were supposed to be bad endings! then i scrapped that really quickly when i changed her personality...

drawing 2: our earliest hunter!

same day as the first drawing... yeouch.

as you can see, her hair was supposed to be a lot neater--and flatter--as a hunter. the cross clip is a lot smaller, and her palette was all over the place. like come on, why is her coat pink??

speaking of which, i changed hunter kayo to being a little messier than her old version because of a change in personality. this proto-hunter kayo still feels emotions very well. in fact, even more intensely than bride kayo. she's constantly angry--for what she went through as a young girl, for losing her eye--just a lot of things.

kind of funny that her personality pulled a 180 lawl

drawing 3: early outfit dump

i made the file for this drawing on january 19, but i believe i updated it as late as early march.

as you can see, it's really just outfit concepts. most of them are the same as the current outfit concept art--thanks to, well, me updating this file until march. you might be familiar with the three on the right, and the lost eden + dark fate outfit is practically the same as the one i posted. the hdb/mb outfit changed the most out of those three: i suctioned it to kayo's body to emphasize her figure more lol (i am the biggest kayo simp in the end)

as for the first two, you can see they were labelled for chaos lineage and lunatic parade! the chaos lineage outfit is probably already like 90% down for me, but the lunatic parade one is peculiar because, well, i scrapped it entirely. it's a cute outfit, for sure, but i didn't think it was kayo's style in the end. perhaps it might get the same hdb/mb outfit treatment and get tweaked to match her better, but i think her current lunatic parade design is solid!

drawing 4: early cg concepts

this was dated feb 25!

honestly, this is still really good, and i'm still planning on adding this scenario to laito's route. it's just that, once again, kayo is suffering from the bug-eyed twelve year old syndrome i was going through since january. plus i was (still am) bad at drawing men, so laito kind of came out looking like a really strange looking lady lol. it's so embarrassing i even had to crop it out.

drawing(s) 5: whoa sailor outfits?!

i actually drew this just two weeks after the last one--march 10th! you can clearly see my art style shifting at this point; i'm starting to think it's the switch from sketching with a soft brush to a hard brush.

this was, if you didn't already guess, in honor of the aquamarine series! of course, there are two: one for the hunter and one for the bride!

i have this running theme of "what would reiji (biggest discreet pervert) make bride kayo wear?" and that man loves his kayo legs, so naturally she had to wear thigh highs and an awkwardly short skirt. at least hunter kayo got away with just a crop top.

you can see something hanging on the hunter's waist--it's actually a demon hunting relic!

drawing 6: hunter kayo in ryotei au cgs?!

very recent drawing--dated march 29!

now, hunter kayo actually doesn't attend ryotei at any point of the series. it just so happens that i thought she'd look really hot in the uniform, and ta-da--i made an au! being an au, it's not canon, but i like to think she has a small route with shuu that doesn't really end well as you'd expect.

still, the sight of her kissing him as he bites on her knife is very very cool. keep up the good work hunter!

drawing 7: late highschool kayo!

this is really just kayo in high school after seiji's treatment of her started getting to her properly. i wonder what she's praying and why...

BONUS 1: CATGIRL KAYO!!

i was in the middle of making this post when a certain catboy-baiter (@poohwhin side eyes...) posted................

i love humans with animal features (i.e. not humanoid animals aka what you'd typically think of when you think of furries...) and genshin already devastated me with not only keqing but DEHYA being fake catgirls, so to recover emotionally i naturally made kayo a catgirl. ougggg she's so cute

BONUS 2: a kayoyui route?!

Yes. and it's finished. i just have to make the cgs and post it.

i mostly made it as a kind of exercise in making routes, since, well, i have to start making a lot. it only has five individual scenarios in the dark, manic, and ecstasy section, but it still has a prologue and epilogue. there are also only two endings!

it also serves to delve a bit more into the hunter's character, since bride kayo is the main focus of the blog. let's give her a little love, yknow!! even if she can't give any back...

On a scale of 1 to 10 how resistant the ROs are to a MC giving them puppy dog eyes?

!! Aw. I'd say it varies on whether they're romantically attracted to the MC or not (I'll assume they are~), but overall I would rate them:

Dante gets a 2, which is generous given the fact that when he simps for the MC he simps hard. He may be very temperamental and hotheaded, but he's also really forgiving and kind. If Dante sees MC pouting and asking for anything he'd initially pretend to resist, because he is a demon, you know, and he can't be weak to humans. But he'd cave in quickly. Embarrassingly quickly. Dante would try to play it off like he always meant to listen to MC and like the puppy dog eyes didn't work in the first place.

Lilith is always a 10 (amongst these 3s) but in this case, she gets a 4. She's definitely stronger than Dante but she loves spoiling her partners so much that she would find it impossible to say no. Lilith would find MC adorable and tease them about it ("love, you really don't have to beg— you know I'd do anything for you"), but she's fast to go along with whatever MC wants.

Josh is definitely a 1, this man is weak for the MC. He's one of the two examples who would be just as weak no matter if MC is his friend or his lover. MC has Josh completely wrapped around their little finger, something of which he's perfectly aware. Josh is (most of the time) pretty levelheaded and perceptive. He knows when MC is about to do something stupid. But he can't physically bring himself to say no to them. He might just give a little sigh of "oh shit here we go again" and reluctantly go "... Fine."

Villanelle is a disaster. A 0. She caves in way before MC even musters the thought of giving her the puppy dog eyes. Villie is a huge advocate for pouting and looking cute, so she might give MC the puppy dog eyes herself in an attempt to beg for mercy. Regardless, she finds it impossible to deny her partner of anything + it's pretty easy to convince her that a terrible idea isn't actually so bad.

Victor is a 9 and wow. Honestly. This man is so cold he rivals Antarctica. Trying to make him take pity on MC is futile. If Victor thinks something's stupid or he doesn't feel like doing something, he won't. And there's no convincing him to do otherwise. MC can try, of course. And Victor would find them cute (his face though remains like 😐). But that's as far as it goes. Victor is very stubborn and once he makes up his mind about something. There is a very slim chance that he'd succumb, though.

Aliyah, the 10. She is immune to MC's cuteness. There's nothing MC can do to change her mind. Not only that— whereas Victor simply glances at the MC and doesn't say anything, Aliyah happens to say plenty. She's brutal. Once Aliyah begins to care about MC half the things she says aren't even meant to hurt, but she's so blunt that she can still sting. Anywho— Aliyah wouldn't only be impassive to MC pouting, she would also pretty much mock them for thinking she was weak enough to fall for it.

Nathan gets a 5, he barely passes. This guy is literally becoming a fallen angel as we speak, he's made some pretty stupid choices, and he lacks common sense. So when MC has a poor idea he's like "oh fuck yeah!" and barely even thinks. In other situations in which he's the recipient of the puppy dog eyes, Nathan would just tilt his head and stare with a small smile, genuinely taken aback by how cute MC looks.

Eden is an 8. He doesn't even mean to be immune. He just is. Eden barely realizes MC is pouting and what that's supposed to mean. He'd be pretty confused, he'd frown and say something along the lines of "Why are you making that face? Are you sick?" The more she gets to know MC the more she realizes it's meant to be cute, but even then she'd be like... 🤷🏾 "What do you want me to do about it?"

from one möbius simp to another, do you sometimes feel like sim möbius lacks a little bit of PE möbius' complexity? why or why not?

don't get me wrong, i love love love my unhinged batshit insane sim möbius. but, especially after that lab short, i feel like PE möbius' deep grief and hints of kindness makes her so much more alluring as a character. i want sim möbius to stay a villain, but i'd also like to see what she is aside from that more often: misunderstood, deep down sensitive and lowkey repressed. i hope we get more of that in ER's future chapters!

Oh I completely agree with you! That’s why I always tend to make the distinction between the sim and the original Mobius. They’re characterized differently!

As for why there’s a difference I attribute mainly to two things.

1. Sim Mobius is in a very different situation from the original.

Talking to people has never been her forte, but now all her closest friends are dead one way or another (except for her very busy children) and the only way anything she does can matter is by talking to strangers, who usually are wary of her right away. The other sims are either annoying to her (Elysia), hate her (most of them), stay in seclusion (Griseo), or… is Eden, I guess, but they don’t seem to hang out that often. (perhaps they’re just private, or the grief is too much to take… or she never got to that final point the original did, who acknowledged her respect for Eden)

2. Sim Mobius is not as mature as/more closed off than the original was

The immaturity interpretation is based off of how thoroughly the hologram played her and her denial, Elysia saying she’s missing memories, and general lack of social intelligence (“I don’t know why they hate me, I did nothing wrong” vs the original’s acknowledgment that she’s crossed the line, and doesn’t care about it.) but overall what’s observed is her being closed off.

The sim is petty (insults and mocks Mei a lot and tries to trick her numerous times, which we don’t see the original do, when she mocks people it’s usually because they did something hypocritical, and as pushy as she can get she respects consent in her experiments), she’s very prone to putting up (obvious) fronts and denying she has any attachment or feeling at all (claims she made Klein because the assistant had turned into the 10th, contrast that with the original being a little sheepish because of the obvious but didn’t even try to cook up a ridiculous explanation like that). She also blatantly lies a lot (her reasons for joining cocoon, multiple times pretending she doesn’t know what Mei refers to, etc) and never does the little kindnesses/mindful acts we saw the original do (the milk tea is an obvious example: even if she’s not direct about it Mobius CAN be affectionate, but the main way we see her care about her ELF is getting mad at Kalpas when he claims to have dismembered her, and when she needs to change the topic because Mei walked in she starts criticizing Klein. We also don’t see her doing nice or silly things together with someone like drawing animals with the graph tool. Is she too cynical or is it that she finds it childish? The original didn’t mind being childish, it made her happy. It’s a sign of maturity to be able to let yourself be silly. Then again, she grew sadder and sadder over time… by the end of Mobius Lab, it seems she’s mostly stopped doing that altogether… but damn, the sim’s had 50k years, come on). The sim also isn’t shown showing empathy for her comrades beyond wanting to save them via sentience transfer, unlike the original who grieves and grieves and makes us cry doing it.

tldr she’s constantly maintaining a facade to protect herself, while the original was more rarely shown to do so. It ties back to point one, she has fewer allies than in life, and Mei is very antagonistic towards her so we see her being defensive or offensive more, but there’s also that she just can’t seem to lower her damn guard and do something nice, even around Klein.

What made you pick up this character?

🧩 HOOOH BOY. SO MANY REASONS, HONESTLY. LIKE, TOO MANY TO LIST. Not me reblogging this meme to have an excuse to simp over my man. ANYWAY. Even years before making this blog, Ruki has been the strongest bias I’ve ever had in a fictional character IN YEARS. I’m definitely the type of person who rarely gets super hooked and obsessed with characters I like, BUT OH BOY, WHENEVER I DO. THEY TURN INTO MY WHOLE WORLD. To say Ruki is my comfort character is an understatement. But to be honest with you, something just struck me one day. Somehow roleplaying sounding like such a fun idea, and what better way to release my urge to write through my favorite character? I figured it would be a really easy hobby for me because this man already lives in my head rent free 24/7 so I knew a lot of the asks would just be a matter of me putting my thoughts and imagination into words HAHAHA.

At first it just seemed like a fun hobby to indulge in and I wanted to try my hand at not only roleplaying, but also writing something that wasn’t either a school paper or a work email for once in my life. Which is why it’s utterly bewildering to me that people would appreciate my style so much. I always feared it would be too “stiff,” and if it was, well at least it’s Ruki so it can probably be forgiven for some asks if I’m being real with you. 🧩 I’ve yet to hear a song that perfectly describes Ruki, ahaha. As far as lyrics are concerned, I really like the Vocaloid song “Out of Eden.” The English translation has a lot of Ruki-esque vibes with the whole serpent temptation, forbidden fruit motif, etc. I’d link the song but it’s a 2010 Kagamine Len song oof my boomer side is showing and I don’t feel like listening to him rn KHFGKJHGGF SORRY LEN. I also have yet to find a cover I thoroughly enjoy, but maybe one day someone will revive it. 🧩
