The Pain Before (Niragi x Reader) Part 12
Part 11, Series Masterlist, Part 13
(** Smut w/ “plot”)
Kuina tapped harder on the door, its inside echoing with the rhythm of her knuckles. She huffed in the empty hallway, biting the candy stick she had in her mouth. She stood listening to the silence before rolling her eyes, letting herself in, and closing the door behind her. 'If he gets upset, he would just be upset,' she thought. "I've been standing outside your door for close to five minutes--" She stopped before the bed as she looked on questioningly, staring at his back.
"Uh... Everything go alright last night?"
She began to fidget with the candy stick more as her question was met with more silence. She gave Chishiya another moment before pressing further, "Did everything... Not go alright last night?" She observed him as his head seemed to drop, his back hunched over. Kuina had seen many defeated people in the Borderlands, but never Chishiya. He would be the last person she would ever expect to be in this position at any given time. If something goes wrong, he always has another card up his sleeve.
"Hey, Chishiya..." She slowly walked alongside the bed and around, carefully sitting next to him. "Where's (Y/N)?" He shifted at the question, his eyes planted on the ground in front of him. "... I don't know." He stated bluntly. Kuina held back the urge to shake him senselessly as she tried to pull more out of him, "... What? What the hell happened Chishiya? Did you find out what you needed to?"
He stayed silent for a moment before slowly licking his lips, carefully contemplating his next words. He sighed and lifted his head, his eyes briefly looking over at Kuina, "Yeah. I did. Maybe more than what I wanted to." She gave him a curious look before looking down at her hands resting on her knees. "I don't feel great about my part in that... Getting a girl drunk and having someone drug her just... Gives me the ick."
Chishiya turned his head to look at her as she wiggled, his brow raised slightly. "You say that as if I'd take advantage of her."
Kuina sighed and stood, taking the candy stick out of her mouth for a moment to speak. "There's more than one way to take advantage of someone, you know. I'll be by the pool until game time." She didn't wait for a response before leaving his room, closing his door behind her. She swallowed the lump forming in her throat, forcing the thoughts of you out of her mind. Her loyalty was with Chishiya, but she knew as well as he did, that she also wished to be loyal to you as well.
You opened your eyes to the sun already towering in the sky, your head throbbing at the sight. You grimaced at the light and turned your head down, opening your eyes to see Niragi laying peacefully under you. The heat rose to your cheeks quickly as you took in your positions. Both hands rested carefully on his bare chest, one of his arms wrapped around your waist, the other of his supporting his head under the pillow. The pain seemed to disappear without another thought as you unknowingly took in his sleeping face.
Niragi looked so peaceful, so at rest under you. You could feel your body slowly rise and fall with his chest, the sun highlighting his features so effortlessly. "Enjoying the view?" Your eyes snapped to his as he murmured, barely opening an eye to look up at you. Your words escaped as you studdered over them, your thoughts not forming correctly. It felt like you'd been caught as you felt your face flush.
You went to push yourself off him as he laughed, wrapping his hand tighter around your waist and holding you to him. "I... I should get back to my room, Niragi," He sighed heavily and closed his eyes again, "... No." You tried to hide your fluster even though he wasn't looking at you, "I still need breakfast, and to shower--" He silenced your protests rather quickly, meeting your lips with his own, his tongue forcing itself through. Your heart quickened as his hand wandered under your shirt, going up and down your back while drawing light circles on your skin.
Niragi reached up to cup the back of your neck with his other hand, pulling you down into him. You closed your eyes as his tongue swirled around yours, the cold metal gently gliding across the roof of your mouth briefly. Your mouth opened in a gasp as Niragi rose his knee in between your thighs, his hand that made gentle circles now moving downward to firmly grab your waist. His lips turned upward into a smile as he took in the soft moan that escaped you, pushing himself into you.
You let out a yelp in surprise as Niragi hurriedly flipped your body underneath him, his hand running along the outside of your thigh. Your body squirmed under his gaze, and you could see his prideful smile as he watched your reaction. He lowered himself down to your ear, carefully whispering to you, "You'll shower here... With me." He could see the embarrassment creep up, washing over you. Niragi smiled and let out a soft chuckle as he swept strands of your hair away from your neck, gently sucking the skin under your ear and slowly leaving trails down your neck.
He felt you squirm under him, your arms splaying down his back, ushering him closer. Niragi roughly dug his fingers into your skin, knowing for certain you would have bruises later from it. He couldn't help but let his pride show as his wet tongue ran along the side of your neck, lifting his face to press his forehead against yours. He lifted your leg and wrapped it around his waist, lowering himself to grind against you.
Niragi watched as your eyes fluttered against the sensation, your chest rising and falling heavily with your breath. He examined your face carefully, taking in every small involuntary motion you made. His lips came down to linger above yours, exchanging his breath with your own. You caught his eyes in yours as you felt your breath hitch in your throat, Niragi stopping suddenly. You looked at each other carefully, his eyes darting between yours, his tongue slowly wetting his lips.
He cupped the side of your face, his thumb gently caressing your cheek in his hand. You leaned into the warmth, his fingers carefully massaging the back of your head as your hand overlapped his. Niragi dipped his head into your neck, his breath tickling your ear as he gently tugged on the lobe, stopping only to sink his teeth into your neck as his hips gently bucked, a soft moan escaping your lips.
Niragi could feel the irritation as his pants tightened, shoving his hand down to unzip his pants, kicking them off hurriedly as he repositioned himself between you. He stole a quick glance, checking for any sign of discomfort. He leaned in close for a moment, his voice low as he whispered, "... Do you want this?" You could feel your cheeks flush as you slowly nodded, swallowing the lump in your throat.
He stared at you, his eyes searching yours for a moment. "Say it."
"I... I want this, Niragi." You watched as he grinned, quickly pushing his lips into yours hungrily, breaking to travel down your neck, dipping his tongue into your collarbone as your soft breath turned into music to his ears. Niragi couldn't help but smirk as your back arched slightly, reacting to his touch. His hands began wandering down your side as you grasped his bare shoulders, feeling your eyes roll back as Niragi's hips thrust into you. His hand grabbed and dug into your thigh as it explored upward, his fingers pulling at the bikini strap that covered you.
You gasped at another sudden thrust, your eyes meeting Niragi's as he grinned at your reaction. The metal tongue piercing gleamed off the sunlight illuminating the room as he ran his tongue over his teeth. You felt a shiver run down you as he lowered his head into your neck, sucking the skin forcefully, his body weighing on top of you as his hips bucked in rhythm. Your leg pulled him in closer, making him shoot you a surprised look.
Niragi watched you carefully as he untied your bikini, making quick work of your top as well. He leaned back for a moment and stared at you, moving his shirt that still covered you to the side as his hands wandered, gripping your thigh around him tightly. He leaned in, running a hand through his hair quickly to push it back as his lips crashed into you, his tongue swirling around yours. You pushed yourself up against him as your hand wandered down to his briefs, sinking your hand into them.
You heard him groan into your mouth as you stroked his erection, his tongue becoming more forceful. Niragi hurriedly pushed his briefs down and broke away from you, frantically throwing them to the side. He could feel his heart speed up at your touch, grabbing your wrist and pinning it above your head. His free hand reached down to your core, his fingers gently gliding across your entrance. Your body jolted suddenly as two fingers entered you quickly with ease, a moan escaping your throat.
Niragi caught your gaze with his, a grin on his face as he teased you, "Fuck... You're so wet..." He chuckled lowly, planting light kisses across your jawline. Your non-restrained hand grabbed onto his onyx hair, giving it a light tug as his fingers began pumping into you slowly. Niragi savored the sounds emanating from you, taking in every soft whimper you released as his fingers curled into you rhythmically.
"Ni-Niragi..." He looked up as you murmured his name, relishing the way his name spilled from your lips. His rhythm slowly increased as he watched your face carefully, observing every time your breath hitched. He placed his thumb gently on your clit, rubbing small circles as he felt your pulse on his fingertips. Feeling you tense he released your wrist, cupping your cheek in his hand as he pulled his fingers from you, positioning his member at your entrance, taking in the warmth coming from your core. He leaned into you slowly, gently guiding his tip further in carefully as his lips eagerly brushed against yours, releasing a moan into your mouth as he felt himself disappear into you.
The sound you made at that moment drove him near crazy. He clenched the sheets as he sunk himself into you completely, his mind going blank as he inhaled sharply at the feel of you surrounding him. You could feel yourself adjusting around him as he began pacing himself, grabbing his shoulder to steady your body as his pace quickened. He brought his head down to your shoulder to sink his teeth into your skin, making sure to leave an obvious mark for all to see.
Niragi groaned in your ear as he heard your soft moans, trying to stop himself from getting too rough. "Ni-Niragi," you studdered over your own words as you tried to speak, "Th-that feels so... So good," your voice shook as his hips snapped into you, unable to contain his want any longer. Your fingers dug into his shoulder roughly, trying to hold yourself still. His hand grabbed onto your thigh, pressing it against him as his hips bucked.
"Oh, fuck..." He muttered into your ear, his voice low. "You're so fucking perfect (Y/N)," his breath on your ear sent a shiver down your entire body, your insides clenching around him as he thrust himself into you. Niragi pulled back for just a moment, his hips continuing their rhythm as his eyes took in the sight before him.
"I could've had this before," his mind taunted him. His hand wandered down to play with you once more, making light circles on your clit, watching as your back arched in response. Niragi watched as you moaned quietly, your eyes starting to glaze over. He gripped your thigh and lifted it onto his shoulder, planting light kisses up and down your leg as he pumped into you.
Leaning down, he could feel himself starting to lose his rhythm as he met with your lips, his moans melting with your own. You grabbed onto his hair, gently tugging as you felt your abdomen pool with heat. Your name echoed from his lips as he snapped into you roughly, soft grunts releasing into your mouth.
Niragi grabbed hold of the hand in his hair, pinning it above your head as his other tightened on your thigh, his hips sloppily thrusting into you roughly. His eyes wandered in search of yours as you stared into the ceiling above you, the walls growing darker as you could feel yourself falling into your release. He felt your body clench under him as his pace increased, slamming his lips into yours, breaking only to mutter curses mixed with moans into your mouth.
Your nails dug into the skin of his shoulder as you felt yourself come undone beneath him, the fire building finally being released through your body. Niragi watched as your face relaxed, admiring the way your mouth moved when you cried out his name, knowing he was the one that made you like this. His hips slammed into you as he felt himself about to reach his own peak, your soft breaths quickly pushing him over the edge.
His head rolled as he grunted in your ear, "Oh fuck, (Y/N)..." Your legs shook at the continued movement, your vision slowly returning to you. Your eyes wandered up to Niragi above you, his bare chest now slick with a thin layer of sweat. His hips jerked into you roughly as he cursed, his teeth sinking into your shoulder as he groaned, feeling himself burst into you, leaving his final mark.
Your breaths mingled together in the silence, filling the room. Niragi released your wrist, his head leaning to rest on your chest. Your hand stroked his hair, gently weaving in between the strands as his back rose and fell with his breath. He looked up at you slowly, grasping your chin and tilting it down to look at him.
"(Y/N)..."
"Y-yeah, Niragi?"
He stared silently for a moment, licking his lips carefully. His voice was soft and gentle, the opposite of his words. "You're mine. And only mine. Nobody is ever gonna lay a hand on you again... I'll make sure of it."
You swallowed a lump in your throat, unable to look away from his gaze. The words felt more like a threat than a promise, you thought. Seemingly noticing your unease, he lifted himself up off you and cupped your cheek, kissing you roughly. As he pulled back, his thumb ran over your swollen lips, his eyes tracing their outline. Releasing a slight groan as he pulled out of you, Niragi grabbed his briefs, pulled them on, and made his way for the bathroom.
You sat up on the bed, your eyes searching for your top that was discarded earlier. Clothing yourself, you buttoned up Niragi's shirt that still adorned your shoulders. You jumped as you felt a pair of hands wrap around you, quickly realizing who it was when he chuckled.
"Did I scare you?"
Even though you couldn't see Niragi, you could hear his grin. "I didn't hear you..." You felt instant relief as he pulled you into his chest, the warmth seeping through the fabric of his shirt. His scent overtook your senses as you leaned your head back into his neck, his hands creeping under your shirt to rest on your bare skin.
You closed your eyes as you felt his lips against your neck, planting gentle kisses on every spot he marked, almost acting as a physical apology. "I hope it didn't hurt too much," he chuckled. You hummed at his words, trying not to become embarrassed. "I-it was... Good... I liked it," you pursed your lips together, hoping he couldn't see your cheeks flush. You could hear his breath in your ear as he whispered, "Gotta let everyone know who you belong to."
Chishiya tried not to pace in the lobby, his hands firmly in his pockets. He was certain his physical demeanor was on point; cold and distant, unapproachable by most. But mentally, his mind was driving him crazy. He wasn't used to this feeling, whatever it was. He had studied medicine for years and could handle nearly any physical diagnosis. But mental? It was still quite a mystery to him, much to his displeasure. Kuina stood near him, not making eye contact. He could tell she was still upset, another thing that irked him at this particular moment.
Chishiya withheld himself from looking over when he felt eyes piercing into his back, knowing full well who those eyes belonged to. "Niragi," he thought. His mind was overcome with memories of the night prior, his mind finally putting two and two together as he placed this overwhelming feeling, guilt, is what most would call it.
His breath hitched as he heard your voice from behind him, his eyes just barely wandering over to Kuina nearly lunging toward you. He hid his concern as he took notice of the marks and bruises covering your neck and legs. Kuina blocked his sight of you, or perhaps she was blocking your sight of him. He didn't care for it either way.
"Are you alright? What happened? Did..." Kuina's voice grew quiet, though not quite enough for Chishiya not to hear. "Did Niragi do this to you?" He felt his heart skip a beat as he turned his full attention to them, his breath held in his throat, unable to come out. As you opened your mouth to speak, the crowd erupted as Hatter took his place on the balcony. All eyes were on their leader, all eyes except for one.
"The games are upon us again!" Hatter started his speech as normal. Chishiya's eyes wandered over your body worriedly, his final thought from yesterday playing over and over again in his mind, this time accompanied by an afterthought.
"Shit, shit, shit...  This is all my fault."
Chishiya looked to the balcony, trying to maintain his composure. His eyes stopped on Niragi, smugly looking down at him from above. He felt his fingernails dig into his palms as the two held gazes. Niragi's eyes said one thing, "I won."

Alice in Borderland
Chapter 2
Hello, if anyone is reading this... Alice will fall in love with someone, but for now, let's keep it a secret...
P. S. Please bear with me as I don't know any Japanese.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alice spent some time considering her options before deciding to search for Jamie. Unfortunately, she couldn't call him because her phone was not working. The situation was quite frightening. She walked to the door and opened it, stepping into a long, dark hallway filled with an eerie silence that made her feel uneasy.
Her heart began to race, and she quickly turned on the flashlight on her old phone. She was overwhelmed by fear, regretting all the horror movies she had watched. Her mind was racing, and she couldn't decide if it was a space invasion or a zombie apocalypse. She approached the stairs with caution, listening for any unusual sounds. After a few minutes that felt like an eternity, she finally reached the ground floor.
As Alice entered the lobby, she was met with darkness and emptiness. The only thing audible was the sound of her cautious footsteps. She looked around and found no one in sight. She moved towards the main entrance but was faced with a problem.
The revolving doors weren't functioning due to the power outage. Alice searched for an alternative exit and after a while, came up with a daring plan. She lifted a small table from beside an armchair and approached the glass wall next to the revolving doors. With all her might, she threw the table at the glass and shattered it. After ensuring her safety by avoiding the shards, she squeezed through the hole and escaped.
The outside was chilly. A soft breeze blew through the main street, pushing litter along the ground. It was quiet and peaceful, but the silence felt eerie to Alice. She stood there, wondering what was going on. Suddenly, a big screen on the other side of the street turned on, showing Japanese characters. Since she knew very little Japanese, she couldn't understand the words.
Alice spotted an arrow on the display pointing to the left and immediately headed towards another illuminated screen, which was a few hundred meters away. Upon reaching the spot, she noticed another arrow that was now indicating towards distant lights instead of a screen. She felt intrigued yet slightly unsure as she strolled through the empty streets of Tokyo, with her heart racing and no apparent explanation for what was happening. Eventually, she stumbled upon a building with a radiant sign atop and a silver car parked outside. Despite some initial hesitation, she made up her mind to take the plunge and entered the building.
A third bright screen was present, albeit smaller than the previous two. Despite Alice's inability to read the text on it, she observed a red arrow at the end of the hallway. She mustered up the courage to walk towards it, despite feeling uncertain. The corridor was dimly lit, and the uninviting brown-yellow walls only added to the gloominess of the place.
There were three boys of the same age as Alice present. The first boy, who stood closest to the wall, was wearing a striped shirt. The second boy had brightly colored hair, while the third one had messy hair. A woman, dressed in business attire, was standing next to them. All of them were holding phones in their hands.
The group's attention was fixed on Alice, whose bright hair and blue eyes made it clear that she was a foreigner. Alice felt her cheeks flush and her social anxiety kicking in, causing her lips to tremble. She avoided their gaze and took a few hesitant steps forward. Despite her discomfort with being the center of attention, Alice gathered her courage and asked in broken Japanese, "すみません。何が起こっているのですか?" (Excuse me. What is happening?)
Alice received no immediate response, only a thorough examination from head to toe. She briefly wondered if her limited proficiency in Japanese had hindered their comprehension.
Finally, the boy with messy hair gathered his courage. "私たちもわかりません" (We don't know either.). His uncertain expression confirmed his words. Alice nodded and slowly approached them.
The woman dressed in business attire casually gestured towards a shelf with phones. "これが必要になるでしょう" (You'll need this).
Alice looked at her skeptically. "ありがとう" (Thank you) she replied, taking the nearest device. Somehow, it seemed that the choice of the phone didn't really matter.
As she turned to the others, intending to ask more questions, a voice came over the speakers.
The group abruptly halted their activities and attentively focused on their phones, which displayed a three of clubs card. Despite Alice's efforts to keep up with the swift voice on the phone, she only managed to catch a few words: game, door, time... Feeling bewildered and disoriented, she sought support from those around her. However, even the three boys seemed uncertain about the situation. The lone woman in the room exuded confidence and made her way towards the elevator, leaving Alice and the boys standing still.
"もしボーっとしていると死ぬわよ" (You will die if you keep spacing out) she said impatiently, giving them an annoyed look.
Alice had a feeling that something bad would happen if she didn't heed the woman's words, so she quickly headed towards the elevator.
"時間がありません" (There's no time) she heard one of the boys say behind her, and soon the boys joined them in the elevator.
The doors of the elevator shut.

🦇 24/looking only for 18+ partners. she/they/him. i'm a discord only rper and i prefer my responses to be around 400 - 600 words. in terms of activity, i definitely am a slower rper and would prefer patience. i am okay waiting for your responses, too, so never fret.
i am looking for alice in borderland content. i've just binged the series, a little later than everyone else, and found myself absolutely obsessed. i would love to do some oc x cc doubles: i'd love to pair my character against arisu, aguni, niragi, banda, ann, heiya, or karube. i can happily play anyone for you.
i would be down for a few (namely, f/m or f/f) canon ships, too. i am comfortable playing as arisu, aguni, niragi or karube, for canon/canon ships.
please either give this a cheeky like or reach out to me, should you find yourself into this idea.

The Pain Before (Niragi X Reader) Part 13
Part 12, Series Masterlist, Part 14
AN: Thank you for being patient! Please enjoy to the fullest!
Chishiya ducked under the table as the hunter came down on top of the player next to him, his eyes darting to the next room over. The safe room was right around the corner, but he couldn't quite seem to get to it without attracting the attention of the killer. "At least he's good at his job," he thought as he glanced behind him, quickly doing a double take as he noticed the lack of a person.
His breath held in his throat as his eyes darted around, looking for that sense of familiarity. His head turned around to eye the safe zone; his guaranteed victory. But as his feet inched forward, his mind held him back. "Fuck," he muttered under his breath before turning around completely, heading to the outer hallway, the killer readying himself again to guard the victory point. Chishiya jogged down, silently checking the rooms as he went. He took an unknowing sigh of relief as his eyes caught a glimpse of you, ducking behind the wall and coming towards him.
"Chishiya!" You whispered, clearing the distance between the two of you quickly. A smile crept on your face as your side met with his, "Why're you looking at me like that?" He grabbed your hand and hurriedly pulled you along, startling you. "Chishiya, what's going--" He hushed you, pulling you against the hall, the safe room just mere feet away. "We're almost there," He looked back at you briefly, the concern in your eyes prominent.
His gut sank as he hurriedly looked away, his mind racking with guilt. "It had to be a spades game," he muttered to himself. He could feel your hand tighten, noticing the killer in the room, waiting with his weapon of choice, the floor already littered with two bodies. "Get ready, (Y/N)," you nodded your head, shoving your anxiety to the back of your thoughts.
You watched closely as his hand reached into his pocket, pulling out a small canister. You knew better than to question it, Chishiya always had a plan. He pulled the pin and threw it into the room, smoke quickly filling it. He took one last look back at you as he nodded, "Let's go," he pulled you along with him into the room, hands following the wall to the safe zone. The warning bell for the time limit already began, giving you a thirty-second heads up to the game's end.
You let out a breath of relief as you closed the door behind you, the blaring alarm now silenced by a game complete. "You always have some handy gadget," you let out a thankful chuckle, glancing behind you. Your body dropped quickly to his side as the red caught your attention, seeping from his leg. "Shit! Why didn't you say anything?!" You took your swim cover off, quickly ripping it in half and hurriedly wrapping it above, placing his hand over and pressing down on the graze.
You could feel his gaze on you, "It's not lethal, you know. I know how to apply pressure." You looked at him, startled. "Well, then you should really be applying pressure, not trying to purposefully bleed out."
"I won't bleed out from a graze." He shot you a smirk that soon faded as he observed the marks on your neck, now in full sight. He looked away, ignoring your eyes on him, carefully walking to the exit, and grabbing the playing card by the door. He paused as he noticed your footsteps stop behind him.
"Hey, Chishiya...? Why have you been acting weird today?"
He stood with his back towards you, taking a silent breath to steady himself. "What do you mean?"
He heard your feet shuffle, "You have this weird look... Like you're sorry, or maybe even mad at me. I don't know," you muttered. Chishiya remained silent for a moment, a million things running through his head. "(Y/N)," you closed the gap between you, stopping behind him. "How did you feel when you woke up today?" You felt yourself get embarrassed at the question but then recalled when you first opened your eyes.
"I mean... I had a bit of a headache but, other than that..."
You saw him stiffen as you spoke, his shoulders tensing. "Chishiya." He walked forward, cutting you off. "We should get going." You wanted to stop him, wanted him to answer you for once. His evasiveness was even more present today than usual. There was almost something Chishiya wasn't saying, but he never disclosed what. Today seemed to be no different.
You opened the passenger door, startled when Chishiya grabbed your arm. You looked back at him, startled by the sudden warmth of his arms coming around you. "... Sorry. Just busy thinking." You awkwardly patted his back, "U-um... Ye-yeah, it's fine, really... Just, making sure you're good," you studdered, trying to mask the surprise in your voice. You gently pulled away, still shocked by the sudden physical contact.
He watched you get in the car, closing the door behind you. He got into the driver's side, pushing the key into the ignition. "(Y/N)," you looked over at him, tilting your head. "Yeah?"
"Do you... Remember, anything from last night?"
You thought for a moment before answering, "Well, yeah. I had some drinks with Kuina," you paused, "I had a lot of drinks with Kuina," you corrected. "Then we went upstairs, the cuts on my arms needed to be cleaned, so me and Kuina went to your room. And then..." You trailed off, thinking hard for a moment.
"... Huh."
Chishiya looked over and held your gaze, "... What is it?"
You sat silent, your eyes darting between his, "I... I don't really remember." You frowned at your realization, confused. "I guess... Maybe I had more to drink than I thought." Chishiya swallowed his breath, starting the car, "... Is that all?" You pondered for a moment, "Well, I know I woke up in--" you stopped suddenly, eyes darting to your fidgeting hands. "I woke up with a headache. That's pretty much it." You turned away to hide the small flush in your cheeks, thinking back to the morning spent with Niragi.
The ride back to the Beach was silent for the most part, the only sound between you was the tires as they struck the occasional pothole. You stole the occasional glance at Chishiya, who seemed to have something to say but never voiced it. You let out a sigh of relief as the lights came into sight, glad to be near what you would temporarily call "home." You looked over to see your makeshift bandage loosened on Chishiya's leg, quickly reaching over to tighten it.
His body went stiff at the sudden contact, holding his breath. He hated feeling this way; he truly did. He hated the feeling of guilt as he looked over at your body, covered with what he assumed were nonconsensual marks. The car pulled up to the doors of the Beach, and you opened the door, welcoming the fresh air. You stopped and turned around, noticing Chishiya's hand on your wrist. You looked at him curiously, your eyes a bit worried.
"... Chishiya?"
His head was down, his eyes looking at the wheel in front of him, his face unreadable. "... Are we friends, (Y/N)?"
You were taken aback by the question a bit, not being able to recall him ever using that word explicitly. "I mean... Yeah? Why wouldn't we be?" You waited for a moment longer, expecting him to respond. You leaned back into the car into the silence, taking the seat beside him.
"Chishiya? Is everything alright?"
You caught something flash in his eyes, but it was gone the second you took notice. You bit your tongue, leaning back into the chair as you let out a sigh, gently poking his arm. "Hey, Chishiya?"
His voice was quiet as he nodded once, "Yeah. Everything's fine." For the first time, you felt like you could tell that he was lying to you. But you nodded your head anyways, knowing there was probably a good reason. You stood up and closed the door behind you.
Chishiya closed his eyes for a moment as he realized he was still holding his breath, slowly exhaling in the empty car. He nearly jumped when his door was opened, looking up at (Y/N). "Come on. If you don't go see An, then I'll have to drag you." You smiled a bit as you lightly teased him, trying to lighten the mood. He gave you a look of questioning before you gestured to his leg. "It's a scrape."
"And I don't care." You helped him out of the car if you could call hauling him up by the arm 'help.' He sighed and tried to refrain from rolling his eyes as he stood, "Okay, okay... Don't tug."
You couldn't help but smile. Though they never explicitly defined themselves as "friends," you were still glad to be considered as such. You wrapped your arm around his waist, guiding him inside the building. The stairs were a bit troubling, and you could see him pretending that it didn't cause him stress. Walking inside the building was the easy part, and you could hear Chishiya take a sharp breath at one point. You felt a bit of relief as his arm went around your shoulder, thankful he trusted you enough to lean on, even if it was more literal than metaphorical.
"... Thanks."
You were a bit shocked as you heard him, turning your head to face him. "Did you just thank me?" You stifled a laugh, "Never thought I would ever hear those words out of your mouth." You caught the slightest smile from him as you led him down to the makeshift infirmary. You were so focused on helping Chishiya, you didn't even notice Niragi standing by the exit, watching you carefully.
Niragi scoffs to himself as he leaned on the wall, turning his head away as his tongue pressed on the inside of his cheek in annoyance at the sight in front of him. He could see the small smug smile form on Chishiya's lips as you weren't looking, busy helping him down the hallway. Niragi felt his breath hitch as he watched Chishiya wrap his arm over your shoulders, leaning on you a bit. He saw him whisper something in your ear quietly, feeling anger rise in his chest. He scoffed and pushed himself off the wall, clutching the handle of his firearm with a tight grip as he walked back up the stairs.
Niragi paced back and forth, running his hands over his face as he sighs heavily, growing impatient. He sat on the edge of the bed, waiting as his leg bounced rapidly. The doorknob began to turn and Niragi stood up quickly as you walked in, the surprise written all over your face. "Niragi...? What're you do--"
"What were you doing with Chishiya?" His tone was accusing as he spoke, grabbing your shoulders to look at you. Your tone was hesitant as you answered him, "... Uhm, helping him to the infirmary?"
Niragi's voice was stern, his grip on your shoulders tightening just enough to not hurt. "After the shit he pulled yesterday?!" You pulled back a bit, confused. "Yesterday? What happened yesterday...?" Niragi looked at you with a mixture of anger and concern, the former much more apparent. He exhaled heavily, running a hand through his hair. "Are you kidding me right now, (Y/N)? You were literally running from his room in fucking tears!"
"I... I don't remember any of that..." You tried to remember but couldn't, "I... I remember having some drinks with Kuina, then... I'm not sure, I... I just remember waking up in your room the next day..." Niragi stood there staring at you, the wheels turning in his mind carefully. He sighed looking down for a moment, and looked back up at you, his expression softening. He took a step closer to you, wrapping both his arms around you and pulling you tightly to his chest suddenly. You were a bit shocked, "N-Niragi...?" Your arms instinctively wrapped around him as he held you, his chin resting on top of your head.
His voice was softer than usual, a tone meant only for you. "... As long as you're alright, I guess." You could hear something in his voice, almost like a hidden secret you haven't been told of yet. You felt yourself relax in his arms as you felt his lips press against your temple, almost as if it was melting all your worries away in an instant.
Niragi held you tightly, the warmth of you in his arms filling him with mixed emotions. He could feel his heart begin to beat irregularly, quickening in pace as he gently pulled himself away, his hands sliding up to your shoulders gently. His thumb tenderly made small circles on your skin, his eyes averting your gaze. Niragi's voice was low as he spoke to you, "You should rest up for now. Looks like the game did a number on you today..." His eyes wandered with his hand as he carefully lifted your arm, gently turning it to look at the forming bruises.
You couldn't help the small smile as it tugged on your lips, your heart skipping a beat at his concern over you. Niragi licked his lips, the small glimmer of metal showing just briefly. "I'm off patrol tonight. If you need anything, you know where my room is." His hand slowly slid down your arm, giving your hand a light squeeze before he left your room.
Chishiya sighed as he looked at the pill bottle, "Is this really necessary?" An crossed her arms as she stood against the counter, leaning slightly. "You're the one in my infirmary, you tell me." Chishiya sighed again as he lifted his brows, still observing the bottle An had just given him. "Fair enough." He stood up from the table, his weight shifting off his injured leg. Without another word, he shoved his hands in his pockets, walked out and closed the door behind him.
As he walked through the mostly empty hallway back to the main floor, his eyes couldn't help but wander down to the cloth still wrapped around his leg. He suddenly had an uncomfortable feeling rise inside of him, sending a trail of shivers up his arms. Brushing the feeling aside, he relaxed his shoulders, rounding the corner for the stairs.
His mind was blank for a while as he walked the hallways back to his room, not even realizing he had skipped his floor entirely. Pushing the door open, he walked out into the broader hallway. He walked aimlessly for a moment, before turning to stand in front of a door; his hand reaching for the handle. It was only when he heard voices that he stopped, his hand hovering just over the doorknob.
"Sorry if I just kind of intruded! I've been meaning to talk to you about--" Chishiya opened the door hurriedly, silently standing in the doorway, his eyes landing directly on Kuina.
Kuina held her breath as her eyes met with Chishiya's, her eyes widening just slightly. You leaned your head over to see who had opened your door, your brows raised as you glanced between the two of them. "Uhm... Guys? What's going on?"
Chishiya and Kuina just stared at each other in silence for a moment, Chishiya speaking up first. "... You should go, Kuina." She nervously pursed her lips, silently nodding her head as she took another glance at you, quickly walking out of the room with her head down. Your eyes turn to Chishiya, standing there awkwardly with his hands resting in his pockets, unmoving as the door closes behind him leaving the two of you alone in the room.
Licking your lips, you speak first. "... What's going on, Chishiya?" It was an earnest question, one willing to give him space between his answer. Space that he did not take.
"I drugged you."
Your eyes go wide as you feel a heavy pang of hurt in your chest, feeling a sudden weight in your stomach. "... What? What the hell are you talking about...?" Feeling your breathing start to go uneven, you struggle to regain yourself a bit.
"I can explain. We thought there was potential you were working with the militants, and--"
"You did WHAT?!" Your words cut him off as he flinched at the sudden change of tone, nearly screaming. The beat of your heart grew faster and louder, your head spinning as you tried to wrap your head around everything. Chishiya was never one to tiptoe around anything sensitive, but this...
"I told you, I can explain--"
"No!"
Chishiya held his breath. He certainly hadn't expected a positive reaction, but he couldn't help but despise the sense of sudden deja vu he was having. The small tears prickling at your eyes, the red forming in your cheeks, the clear uneven breathing. It was all the same as it was the night before.
"I... I thought we were friends!" You pursed your lips together, almost as if trying to hold yourself together completely. "And if we weren't friends, then certainly we were allies at the least, right? Right?!"
Your eyes searched his for some kind of confirmation but found none. The feeling of your heart sinking to your stomach was nearly overwhelming, choking back a small sob as the tears started to fall down your cheeks. You shook your head in disbelief, the anxiety and fear overtaking you all at once. There was only one thought coursing through your mind; Get out of this room as quickly as possible. It didn't matter where you ended up, as long as it was away from here.
"I... I have given you no reason at all not to trust me, and still... I don't even know how we got this far if you truly distrusted me that much..." Your voice was almost as a whisper, your gaze turned away to the ground as you shook your head, crossing your arms and walking past him towards the door.
Without thinking, Chishiya suddenly found himself pulling you into him. His arms wrapped around you from behind, holding you close to him. It was a different sensation to him; one that was certainly unfamiliar. "Wait."
You could feel his heart beat just a bit faster than normal against your back, his breath soft against your ear. Your body was nearly frozen against his, the suddenness a bit shocking, to say the least. His voice was soft in your ear, and you could've sworn you heard his breath become a bit unsteady for just a brief moment. "I... I'm sorry, I... I needed to be sure and... I might have taken it a bit too far, okay? And..."
You bit your bottom lip as you listened to him, his arms still wrapped around you. The warmth of his hands around your arms was a different feeling, a gentle one you couldn't recall ever getting before.
"Chishiya, I... I just need some space right now..." You feel a tear drip down your chin landing on his sleeve as you reluctantly pull away from his grasp. Walking out the door hurriedly, your mind spun circles around itself trying to understand your current situation.
Chishiya watched as you left your room, leaving him behind. He could hear the small echo of your held-back sobs through the empty hallway as you left, his breathing growing uneven. Looking to the ground, Chishiya realized where that uneasy feeling of deva ju was coming from. The scene he had just experienced was the same as the one last night, with one overly simple thought running through his mind, "Oh shit."

Tumblr media
You were too confused and curious to ask anything. He opened and let you both in STILL holding your hand and as you closed the door behind you, you were pushed against the door. Before you could realize what was happening your back was against the door and he was standing VERY close to you.
He looked as if he was VERY uneasy. You looked down at his hands which looked like they were trying to reach out for something while still being on the sides of your waist. But never touched you, just a few inches apart. Little did you know that they were itching so badly to hug you or to touch you at the very least? He wanted to comfort you but because he simply didn't know how to. He never felt like doing it for anyone either. All he could say very silently which almost came out as a whisper was, "Are you hurt?"
As you look up at his eye, you could see something that you never even imagined his eyes were capable of doing, they had a care in them. Almost as if he was sorry. Why was HE sorry? It was all Niragi. But all you could think now is that you don't want him to be this trouble over YOU so you put a rest to the fire in his limbs that were aching for any contact with you and hugged him. "I'm alright," you said in the same tone as him. "Thank You Chishiya."
You were a little worried that you might have crossed a line because he didn't hug you back. But before you could pull back to your relief he hugged you back even tighter.
As you two pulled apart from the long warm hug he said, "I'm sorry but I couldn't think of anything other than that." He said not making any eye contact with you and looking at the floor. It took you a minute to realize that he was talking about the kiss. "Oh no no! I'm glad you came. I don't know what I would have done without causing a huge fight. Not to mention he had a fucking gun." you said assuring him.
"Hmm" was all he said as he let go of your sides and moved further into his room. The loss of his hands on your side felt so cold. But you moved to sit on a chair as well. He stood on the balcony watching something very intently. "You should stay here for the night. He'll go to your room later for sure." he said while still focused and continued as he half turned to face you, "Or the stunt that we pulled there won't be of any use. These people need a leash. The more I see them the more I realize how good my life was away from people of this sort, however bad it was."
You walked over to him to see what he was looking. Niragi and his goons all were in the garden right in front of your room unaware that you were watching them. They always gave you goosebumps. Your instincts were always right for people and not to forget the ques that Chishiya taught you and all of them said only one thing. STAY AWAY FROM THEM. You decided to never stay in the same room as them.
As if he read your mind Chishiya said," You cannot run from them, you have to create a special space in the Beach. Learn to deal with them. For now they won't hurt you since they think we're" he let go of a deep sharp sigh as if he was holding his breathe, "together. But this won't stop him to try."
That is when you noticed that they all saw you two on the balcony and were now fake aiming at Chishiya with their guns, which were probably loaded. Their laughs were more like shrieks that scared the shit out of you. Chishiya knew this. He pulled you in with a 'sorry' and kissed you. Deeper and more passionately than before.
This time something took over you and even you gave in and kissed him back as you ran your hands through his hair. He pulled you in by hips with one hand and one started tracing its way up under your shirt and rested on your ribs giving them enough show to tease them.
He knew what he was doing. Slowly he pulled you back inside the room and once you two were out of their sight he tried to pull back but you were too into the kiss to realize that. So he continued kissing you and pushing you back towards his bed and pushed you on it and followed.
He came close to the point that your lips were practically touching but then stopped. Seeing your needy and whiny expressions made him smirk, "Are you sure?" this question brought you back from your high and realised what was happening. "Um-" you said trying to read his stoic expression to see if he wants this too or not because you DO NOT WANT to be rejected by him.
"We can stop if you want" looking down at you with his hands on either side of your head. "As if you don't want it too," you said trying to use the trick he taught on HIM, the benefit of the doubt. To which he laughed wholeheartedly and you saw him laughing for the FIRST TIME and you couldn't help but take in all of this knowing this might never happen again.
He was about to kiss you when you heard a huge bang on your door.

Alice in Borderland
Chapter 1
English is not my first language so I know there will be a lot of mistakes but I will try to do my best.
(I do not own AiB and any of the characters in the following fic.)
Alice and her cousin Jamie had been dreaming of this day for years – a thrilling trip to Japan. She couldn't believe that she was finally visiting the country. All the hard work paid off as she was finally able to save enough money for the once-in-a-lifetime travel. She was currently on the plane looking through the small window. It was surreal. White fluffy clouds drifting across the blue sky. It didn't take long before Alice got lost in her imagination as Lana Del Rey's music was coming from her headphones in the background. It was perfect. Her cousin was sleeping next to her, and she couldn't understand how he could sleep while she felt like she might miss something if she closed her eyes even if just for a moment.
After a smooth landing at Narita International Airport, Alice and her cousin gathered their belongings and stepped out into the bustling terminal.
"We made it, Jamie!" Alice said, her eyes sparkling with delight.
"Yeah, we sure did!" Jamie replied with a grin. "This is going to be the best trip ever."
The air was different, and the signs were in a language she couldn't quite read with her poor Japanese knowledge. How different it was from what she was used to in her homeland, and for a moment, she got lost in her thoughts again.
"Ali, we need to go" Jamie's voice brought her back to the present moment.
"Oh, right," she replied a little confused. Her big travel bag was already on her shoulders. »Which direction should we go?«
Navigating the airport proved to be a fun challenge, and with the help of airport staff, they eventually found their way to the train station. Armed with a pocketful of yen and their well-planned itinerary, they hopped on a train bound for Tokyo. As the train whisked through the countryside, Alice and Jamie admired the picturesque views. Traditional Japanese houses nestled amongst lush greenery and the iconic Mount Fuji visible in the distance made them feel like they were in a postcard come to life. Hours later, they finally arrived at their hotel in the heart of Tokyo. It was already getting dark.
Their room was quite spacious with two beds, each on one side, and a small bathroom on the left. Alice entered the room before Jamie and placed her bag on a small table beside the bed. She spotted the window she headed towards it
"I'm really curious about the view"
Pulling back the heavy navy-blue curtains, the city sprawled out before her. The room was on the twelfth floor and therefore it offered a spectacular view of the city. They could see Tokyo Tower and the neon lights of bustling streets below.
"Look at this view, Jamie! It's so beautiful!" she smiled in amazement. To say the girl was happy would be an understatement.
"Yeah, everything feels surreal." Jamie chuckled.
He put his luggage on the floor next to the other bed with a sigh and accompanied her to see the view.
»I have to admit that I am quite sweaty«
»Oh well, I feel you. And I have to admit that I am quite tired too. And hungry as well,« she said still looking at the city below.
"How about I go freshen up, and then we can go out to find some food?" Jamie suggested.
"Sounds good to me" She turned away from the window and sat down on the comfortable hotel bed.
She pulled her backpack closer and began searching for her headphones, which she had tucked away somewhere deep inside again. After finally finding them, she plugged them into her phone and lay down on the bed.
"I'll take a quick nap while you shower." She heard how her cousin was unpacking some stuff and then went to shower.
Once again, Lana Del Rey's voice resonated from her headphones.
Wish I may, wish I might
Find my one true love tonight
Do you think that he could be you?
Alice's eyelids began to feel heavy, and it didn't take long before she slowly drifted off to sleep.

I keep scratching, but somehow I can't get in
part 1 │part 2 │part 3 │part 4
Tumblr media
'Break his legs so that he dies in the next game.'
'What the fuck?'
The words came out of your mouth, clear as water. A visceral reaction to hearing Aguni telling that to Niragi. He wished you hadn't said anything, because everyone in the group of militants behind him turned around to look at you. Not him, although he did move his head slightly so that he could observe you from the corner of his eye. His body, however, kept facing the two people he was harassing — a young man, thin and tall, with shoulder-length dark hair, and an athletic girl with a pretty face. He had played a game with both of them long ago, Five of Spades. Kuina, your friend, was also sitting beside them.
Aguni had told you. And he had to hope that you knew why he was doing this; it was not the first time something like this happened, and sooner or later Takeru would come to save the day and put Aguni in his place. It was a way for him to… what exact words had he used? Establish dominance.
You had gone to play a game that night. And that's why he had decided to do this today, to scare the newcomers, to put on this show. He hadn't expected you to return so soon. He was glad, of course. Glad you were alive, glad he would be able to stare at your big eyes and wake up by your side one more day. He could do it forever. He would, if it depended only on him.
But he didn't want you to see this. To see him like this.
'You're not breaking that guy's legs.'
Fake it until you make it, people said. And even if you weren't afraid of the man you shared a bed with every single night, you did find Niragi and Last Boss intimidating. You had mentioned it to Aguni, many times. The latter because… well, what kind of psycopath walked around hunched over with a katana? It was pretty self-explanatory.
'Thinking you are Pyramid Head from Silent Hill and actually living to it is enough to creep anyone out.' You had said one night you were both standing in The Beach's lobby, pretending to shiver just by thinking about it, using it as an excuse to seek refuge on his arms. Aguni wasn't sure who that person you had mentioned was, but he had wrapped his arms around you and kissed your forehead.
'He's not going to harm you.'
'Oh, I know. I have you to protect me.' You had then given him a quick kiss on the lips, not caring if anyone was watching.
Niragi you just found unpredictable, and Aguni had to agree that it was the most horrifying thing about him; the fact that no one ever knew what was going through his head. The big rifle resting on his shoulder he had seen him shoot a bit too many times didn't quite help.
It was him, Niragi, with his tacky shirt and piercings who walked in your direction, stopping mere centimeters away from you. You were taller than most women, but you still had to raise your head to be able to look at him in the eyes. Were you pretending not to be intimidated at all or were you really that courageous?
'Ah, are you jealous the boss wants a taste of the new girl?'
Aguni had to stop himself from grimacing when he heard that. He was angry, he was ashamed. Panic slithered up his throat, choking him. He swallowed, uncomfortable, the muscles on his neck standing out.
He couldn't see your reaction very well.
He could only hope those words hadn't felt like a punch straight to the stomach to you. They had to him.
'What is it, Niragi? Are you jealous that I'm the one sucking his dick and not you?' You replied. Always with a sharp, venomous tongue, and a quick response. Never afraid to hit below the belt, as long as it served your purpose. Your nails were digging into the palms of your hands, the only thing actually actually revealing your true feelings.
Niragi narrowed his eyes. Aguni could tell he was conflicted — you were under his protection, he had made that much clear. He had got you a new bracelet with a higher number, and a bigger and more comfortable room, with a bed that not even Hatter had dared to take away from you. It was not like you spent many nights there either way; you were usually at Aguni's room, only going to yours whenever you had an argument he didn't know how to solve, or turn into angry sex. Which was becoming less and less common as he got to know you better.
But even if you were Aguni's protégé, you had just insulted Niragi. In front of everyone. And that wasn't something he would let slide easily.
His free hand closed around your arm, pulling at you, bringing you so close to him your faces were nearly touching. Aguni clenched and unclenched his fists. His muscles were tense. He saw you looking in his direction. Were you asking him to intervene?
'You're lucky you're so good at it, or you would be dead now. You bitch.' Niragi's threat could be heard easily, even if he hadn't raised his voice over the volume of an angry whisper. That's how silent the rest of the world was.
You let out a bitter laugh, throwing your head back. It looked like you would spit in his face. Like you would slap his hand away. Aguni took a step towards you both when he heard Takeru's voice. Just as he knew he would, eventually.
'Is this a fight?'
'Back off, Hatter. This doesn't concern you.'
Niragi let go. You rubbed your upper arm, pink lines appearing where his hand had been holding you. You scowled at your aggressor, taking a couple of steps back, clumsy. Tatta, one of your friends, appeared and held you by your elbow to help you stabilize.
Aguni looked at you. He wanted to ask you something, anything. If you were okay, if you were hurt. He could tell from your face, your eyes, your tight lips, you were not happy. But what you were feeling exactly escaped him.
Takeru demanded his attention, refering to him by name.
'And who is the boss here, Aguni?'
The military man had missed the conversation that had just taken place between Niragi and Takeru. But anyone could have guessed what it was about.
He didn't have to pretend to be mad, because that's exactly how he was feeling. Furious, irritated. Crossed, that his friend kept doing this. That he had forced him to play this evil, mean character in front of you, even after Aguni had told him how much you meant to him. That he loved you, or was starting to. That you were much more to him than an occasional partner.
He just stared at Takeru.
'It's you. Isn't it?'
'Go take a shower.'
Aguni just left, after stealing a sideway glance at you. Hoping you would follow, begging you to. It seemed you knew him well by then, because that was exactly what you did.
You walked right behind him to his bedroom, closing the door once both of you were inside.
'What were you thinking!? What if Niragi had actually broken up that guy's legs!?'
'Are you okay? Did he hurt you?'
You looked surprised by his question. You lifted your arm, so that Aguni could see the marks Niragi's grip had left on it. He got closer to you, tentatively, almost scared, not wanting you to run off, as one would approach a street cat.
You didn't move.
'No, Aguni, I'm fine.' You finally whispered, your voice breaking when you pronounced his name.
Aguni had seen you fuming, full of wrath, even. Had seen you crying, yelling, screaming and shouting. But he had never seen you looking so sad, so miserable. He took you into his arms. It took a few seconds, but you hugged him back.
'I'm sorry.'
You didn't reply. You just buried your face in his chest. You didn't cry either. It made him feel worse, this lack of an emotional response. This apathy.
You let go after what seemed like an eternity, flashing him one of those crooked smiles of yours. One without much joy in it.
'You didn't mean any of that, right?'
'I didn't. Takeru…'
'I know, I know. Can I ask you something?'
'Anything.'
'Isn't he going too far? Chishiya showed me that container… where you guys drop the corpses. He told me Hatter had killed some of those men himself.'
Aguni couldn't lie to you, so he told you everything. He told you about Takeru becoming more and more deranged each passing day. About how he had found him doing exactly that, killing some of the residents of The Beach with his bare fists because they had hidden their cards from him.
He confessed how desperate he really was. How scared. He was losing his best friend, the only person who had been there for him through thick and thin. His ride or die. The person who meant the most to him in this world.
You listened. You nodded. You held him. You wiped the tear that run down his cheek. You whispered reassuring words. You kissed him.
You didn't say anything until you were sure he had finished.
'I'm here. You're not alone. I don't know how to fix this but… we are in this together, okay? We will find a way.'
'I love you.'
He couldn't help himself. The fact that you had used 'we' instead of 'you'… You hadn't said 'You will find a way'. You were a team. You would stick with him, just as he had told you that day at the pool.
You smiled your half grin before replying. This time, your eyes accompanied the gesture.
'I love you too.'
───⋆☆─────────────
'Let's leave The Beach.'
'Hm?'
You were nearly asleep, in Aguni's arms, your mane of hair all over his chest, his fingers tangled in it. You opened your eyes, rubbing at them with one of your hands. You yawned.
'Let's leave. You and I. Let's go away.'
'Aguni…' He adored the way you said his name. 'Do you really think that is a good idea? Can you at least sleep on it?'
'Will you come with me if I decide to leave?'
'Promise me you won't decide it now?'
'I promise.' He was convinced his opinion on the matter would be the same in the morning.
'Then yes. I'd go with you to the edge of the world.'
It was really that simple.

Kenji loves to annoy Chishiya and Niragi.
Tumblr media
