Sorry it's been so quiet over here guys; I can crack out requests pretty quickly, but I had a whole 12 page commission come in literally right after I put up the new years' requests open post.

I'm almost done with it, and then I'll be able to post much more frequently...

I'm so upset it's taking so long because my new years' resolution was to write more this year LOL

and we're already 19 days in and I don't have anything to show for it :')

You hate to see it but I'll be back at it in no time...I'm shooting to get the commission done tonight or tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Because we did this on tiktok, so you guys get it too.

We had a busy week and this is why we didn't get any chapters out. All of us had the energy to draw things constantly for a week straight so we used it.

Hi all - it's been a while.

I'm so sorry that the revamp of Chapter 2 is taking as long as it is to update... between life, grad school, and a full-time job, I've been busy trying to catch up with things.

However, Chapter 2 is ALMOST completed and is going through the final shading and effects process.

Additionally, I edited the site once again. I've updated the navigation bar so that you can start directly on certain chapters. I didn't want to delete the original chapter 1, 2, and 3... and reformatting ALL of those posts was going to be much more difficult. So I created the nav-bar. You can also search for specific chapters with the appropriate tag, with the old chapters being marked with "chapter x old."

Lastly, the Prologue has its own mark, as the new cover is there as well.

I'm currently trying to figure out how to move the description bar back to the side instead of the bottom... but alas.

Makes some plans and changes for the new year.

First off, I’m going to be launching a website. It gives me the ability to have everything in one space, especially my store. At one point I had 5 shops on 5 different sites.

The shop will be handled by Printful/Squarespace. Already adding items in the shop is so much easier. It takes care of shipping, taxes, etc.

It’ll have places for a blog, a better portfolio, etc. I’m really excited

I’ll still be using Tumblr and my social media sites, but I’ll be less trying to send people to 4 different spots to access everything.

Have the remainder of the planned kinkmas blurbs be part of a valentines series (sue me I love a themed release)

And also I want to release a mini series that’s like planned and kinda written??? On actual Valentine’s Day or close to it! So it’ll be a mini one shot series and then the mini series they aren’t connected but yeah ¨̮ that’s the plan!!!

I’m so excited I’ve been writing my big fic since the first so I haven’t had time to post anything but I will take a break from the big fic for a mini series!

New article, very short and not great article. It keeps feezing up with add pop ups. Anyway Eddie will travel to Croatia in the next few days to continue filming The Day of The Jackal.

For the past few months he’s been in Budapest, most likely filming The Day of the Jackal while he was there. He will be moving on to Croatia next.

A Fresh Start

As the Prolonging the Prologue project has grown, I’ve found it harder and harder to manage housing the project and my personal blog in the same space. So, after quite a bit of unnecessary paralysis, I’ve done the only reasonable thing and split the account in two.

I can't believe I have to post about this a second time in a year, but I have another sick kitty...

We lost our senior cat Henry in February, it was just time for him to go. He was a handsome and wonderful 14 years old, and had been with us since we were children.

And not long after we lost him, my sibling and I (we live together) decided the apartment was just too empty without him...we were missing the warmth and the joy that a sweet kitty cat brought with him.

So we each adopted our very own cats; a handsome long-haired 3 month old boy named Gojo, and a beautiful short-haired 5 month old girl named Luisa.

Luisa is my baby girl. She was born in September, the same month as me, and she's my whole world. But the last few days, she's been eating less, playing less, and getting more and more docile and lethargic.

I took her to the emergency vet today because she wasn't eating at all and was hiding since yesterday morning. He told me that she had an auto immune disorder, and was extremely anemic.

He gave me three options; try steroids and antibiotics, see if she responds to them, or they could hospitalize her and give her a blood transfusion, which was way, way too expensive...if I had the money I would've done it in a heartbeat, and it breaks my heart to think that I could've done more for her if I had a better job and could provide for my baby more. And the third option was to put her to sleep there, because her odds were slim.

I chose the option to get her medication, which was a quarter the cost of a hospitalization, and he assured me typically saw really good results, but that sometimes it would take a few days or a week or two before seeing improvement.

I gave her the first dose as soon as we got home, got her set up in my room, but she's still not eating, won't go to the bathroom, and I'm just really, really worried that I'm gonna have to say goodbye to her, before she's even a year old.

I'm just not ready to say goodbye again. Twice in the same year, two of my sweet babies. I am not ready to do that again. It happened so fast. The shelter I got her at likely had no idea she was sick; she showed no signs of it until just a few days ago. I hate that she's so fragile, and that I can't do enough for her. It's just crushing.

I want to try and focus on the positive, and hope that she's gonna pull through in the next few days. I'm just so sad, because it wasn't that long ago I saw this behavior in a dying cat. I know what it looks like, I felt it, I could see it. And I'm not ready to do that again.

I was supposed to have at least ten years with this slinky little baby. I don't want to believe that I'm gonna have to say goodbye to her. I won't know for at least a few days; but if she stops eating and she can't go to the bathroom, I don't know where to go from there.

I just wanted to vent, I wanted to let you all know that's what I'm dealing with right now. I hope you'll continue to have patience with me, and to those who commissioned art from me, I'm gonna work hard to get it done ASAP since it's already been a while, and I just need to do something to keep my mind off of what's going on right now.

But yeah. That's what's going on at this moment, and so if I sort of disappear for a little while or my posts go a while without anything, that's why.

Thanks for being so sweet, you guys are such a wonderful group of fellow FE enthusiasts and I love writing for you all. It's without a doubt the group of the friendliest and sweetest people I've ever run into; whenever awful things were going on, IRL or online, I would always come here because the drama or the stressful mess would never reach it; this place is my little safe haven haha

So thank you for being here, and thank you for listening and for your patience! I'll do everything I can to keep up.

Firstly, Happy New Year to my friends and followers who are celebrating this weekend!! Happy Year of the Dragon!

Unfortunately, I will not be able to have an update for yall this weekend… I neglected to realize that I had a paper to do for a class on Monday, so I will be spending all weekend completing that paper. Should I be able to finish it quickly, then I’ll try to get a page done. But I also have some commission work to do… normally, I balance my workload a lot better than I did this week, but there were a lot of things that got in the way in regards to grad school and… well, my teaching job… and my brain. It’s been a fun time.

Anyway, I really appreciate all the support from everyone here. If you are so inclined, my Ko-Fi (which IS linked somewhere) is two pages ahead of what’s posted everywhere else. So if you want to get ahead, you can join the lowest tier of support ($3/month), earn some rewards, and such and such.

So. I made a website.

Roughly in October 2023, I experienced a combination of burnout and the realization that the holidays were coming. So I took a break from everything, and took a long hard look at what I was doing, and how I could make things work better.

One was looking at the state of social media. I wasn’t posting enough for algorithmic systems to promote my work. I wasn’t posting the types of content that these systems wanted. And Tumblr is Tumblr.

The other was looking at all my storefronts. I had a Threadless store, an INPRNT shop, a Ko-Fi sticker shop and a BigCartel season shop. It was all over the place. I really wanted everything in one place.

The solution to all these things was a singular website. And so here we are.

This website will act as a centralized hub for all my art related ventures: a portfolio, a blog and a storefront. My social media accounts will continued to be updated, but their importance will be reduced.

I’ve also made some plans for the year, but more on that later.

PSA: Tumblr/Wordpress is preparing to start selling our user data to Midjourney and OpenAI.

you have to MANUALLY opt out of it as well.

to opt out on desktop, click your blog ➡️ blog settings ➡️ scroll til you see visibility options and it’ll be the last option to toggle.

to opt out on mobile, click your blog ➡️ scroll then click visibility ➡️ toggle opt out option.

if you’ve already opted out of showing up in google searches, it’s preselected for you. if you don’t have the option available, update your app or close your browser/refresh a few times. important to note you also have to opt out for each blog you own separately, so if you’d like to prevent AI scraping your blog i’d really recommend taking the time to opt out.
