We are not going to talk about how I forgot that the environment is supposed to be this pretty, flowery, water-like area... so what we ARE going to do is pretend that I remembered that detail, and that for the next couple of pages, Onua is just sitting in this little area where it is heavily wooded and has grass. (To be fair, I forgot about this detail at the end of Chapter 6 as well, so.)

Okay, but in all seriousness… there is no easy way to draw that view upwards. The trees are ginormous in Le-Koro. Also, no. I did not forget that the center tree is supposed to be surrounded by water… we are getting there. We are going to pretend that Onua was launched into an area between the roots where there’s land.

Kaze is always really fun to draw because he’s this dark and moody character, but that’s also what makes him challenging to draw and write for. He’s got a fewer range of emotions than Kopaka…

Anyway. Thank you to those who reached out and asked if I was okay! I realize that I haven’t updated in a while and I just got caught up completing homework and passing classes. I still have projects to complete, but theyre not all due at the same times lol

See, even though I know what is going to happen next, it is still sad to see it unfold haha I don’t enjoy breaking characters like this, contrary to popular belief. Poor poor Lewa. Anyway! I’ll (hopefully) see ya’ll in a week for the next page! I have some crazy big assignments due over the next two weeks, and then things slow down a little.

Also, these backgrounds... may not be like, super detailed, but trying to figure out how I wanted them to look was a challenge. Artistically, I just wasn't sure how to do it lol

News Post: 2/25

Okay. SO. I hate making posts like this, so I'm just going to put out this one news post to cover future events.

If I ever don't update one weekend, it is because I got caught up in graduate homework. Like this weekend, where I have three papers due all back to back this week lol. Despite my expert planning of getting work done throughout the past couple of weeks, the assignments for my classes all sort of... fell together around the same time this time, so I have actually been working on most of these projects for a while, but they're just all due this week.

Anyway, the gist of this whole post is this: if I don't update, it's just because I've had a mass amount of work all due at the same time.

News Post: 2/10

Firstly, Happy New Year to my friends and followers who are celebrating this weekend!! Happy Year of the Dragon!

Unfortunately, I will not be able to have an update for yall this weekend… I neglected to realize that I had a paper to do for a class on Monday, so I will be spending all weekend completing that paper. Should I be able to finish it quickly, then I’ll try to get a page done. But I also have some commission work to do… normally, I balance my workload a lot better than I did this week, but there were a lot of things that got in the way in regards to grad school and… well, my teaching job… and my brain. It’s been a fun time.

Anyway, I really appreciate all the support from everyone here. If you are so inclined, my Ko-Fi (which IS linked somewhere) is two pages ahead of what’s posted everywhere else. So if you want to get ahead, you can join the lowest tier of support ($3/month), earn some rewards, and such and such.

Sooo… I had nothing else to do today, so I finished another page (which, if you want to be ahead by two pages from what is released publicly, you can check out my Ko-Fi!), but also I’ll be away this weekend, so the likelihood of me finishing the next page on time is… slim to none haha however!! I am also, officially, starting my next semester of grad school AND working full time, so if I’m ever late in posting a page, I’m trying to get projects or papers done.

News Update - 1/6

With Chapter 8 in the works now...

A new reader asked me why the comic pages don't have the "Previous" and "Next" buttons on the pages, and this is partially because the web version of Tumblr has a theme where those buttons are actually pressable.

So now I'm going back and manually adding, on each page, that function because I forget that the mobile versions of Tumblr don't have that ability.

.... let it be known that it is a GIANT headache adding these buttons at this point. Tumblr is deciding to go back and erase the url's that I have added on the pages so far, so I've had to go back, redo it, move forward, go back, move forward, go back several pages, move forward... this wasn't supposed to take me very long, but it is.

Don't mind me. I'm just grumbling about the pisspoor coding of this hellsite.
