“Stop! I’ll go with you! Okay? I’ll go with you, Itachi. Just, please, don’t hurt the little ones.”

The man who eradicated his entire clan, sparing only his little brother, how could you think he wouldn’t live up to the threat of murdering yours if you didn’t go with him?

“You foolish girl,” he had chuckled.

Now, here you are, lowered to the ground with your head hung as you shield your younger siblings and cousins. Your tears drip from your puffy eyes, splashing against the ground. You might not have been able to save your parents, aunts, and uncles, but you can save what’s left of your clan.

Completely at his mercy, you wait for him to make the next move.

“You look the best when you’re on your knees, begging at my feet.”

Though you want to glare at him, you know better. You keep your head bowed, not out of respect, out of fear for what he might do if he sees your defiance.

“Please, I’ll go with you. I promise, I won’t fight. Spare the young ones. I’ll be yours forever, Itachi. If you spare them, I’ll be so thankful.” You can’t help the timid notes which causes your voice to shake. Still, you remain firm in your stance to protect the children.

Itachi places two fingers under your wet chin. He raises your eyes to look into his Sharingan.

“Only out of my love for you will I spare them, but know now that if you ever try to run or defy me, they will suffer as a consequence. Is that understood?”

Your tears seem endless as they continuously roll down your cheeks. “I understand. Can I say goodbye to them?”

He’s gracious enough to grant you your request, and you give each sibling and younger cousin a hug and farewell.

Itachi has to pull you away from your five year old sister, telling you, “That’s enough.”

You want nothing more than to cling to her, but you let her go for her own safety.

Your youngest sibling cries out for you, and it pulls at your heart that you can’t console them. It tears you apart that a child has to raise the younger ones. It kills you that their life hangs in the balance because of you.

If only you had gone with him in the beginning…

“I know what you’re thinking,” he states as he washes you away from your thoughts.

You look up at the raven haired man with an air of sorrow.

“You’re thinking about how all of this could have been avoided. That’s not what matters anymore. What matters now is that you know your place. From now on, you’re meant to be at my side. You’ll never be far from me, and if you rebel, then you know what will happen.”

“Yes, Itachi.”

As you look behind you for the last time, you kiss the grounds that once was your home goodbye. You will never be able to see what’s left of your family ever again, but it has to be enough because you know they’ll be safe this way. Your life is with Itachi now.

Unfortunately for you, nothing will ever change that.

*things got a little crazy in the mission, and suddenly your team was surrounded by enemy ninjas. Quickly, four of your group members were injured, and itachi was starting to wear out. He had really forgotten about you

*and it is just at that moment that you manage to reach him after putting your injured companions in a safe place

*my boy let out the air that he had been holding after he realized that you were fine and that he was not alone in this, haha

*after the fight and reaching Konoha successfully, and after checking that the injured were okay and giving the report to the hokage he approached you

A quiet, yet soft voice spoke to you from behind you, "… I wanted to thank you for earlier"

*obviously, you weren't aware of the little jump that Itachi's heart gave when he saw your pretty smile.

*his funniest jokes suddenly forget, or he doesn't know how to explain them from one moment to another, and suddenly they are not funny anymore, they are embarrassing 💀 even itachi makes a subtle grimace on his stupid stoic face that he charges whenever he opens his mouth to deliver a “joke”

*he doesn't know what to do or how to react

*and for some reason, he stutters a lot when he tries to explain his joke again

*itachi is there luckily to comfort him at the end of the day, but: "no, itachi- don't give me love advice when you haven't even had a girlfriend!"

*somehow he will overcome this historic moment in his life and be able to woo you properly

*when? Uhh… someday, I don't know, I'm not psychic-

I think the reason why Naruto fans get so passionate and upset about the series is because of how real it can be. Naruto isn’t about paragon heroes outdoing dastardly villains. It’s about human beings fighting tooth and nail to survive in a world surrounded by death. It’s about broken systems made and perpetuated by broken people.

The Hyuga clan isn’t just antagonistic or pretentious, they practice slavery.

The Uchiha clan weren’t just killed by some raging psychopath, they were systematically massacred.

Itachi isn’t just cruel to Sasuke because he’s a bad brother, he’s cruel because he’d been told time and time again that you can only survive by being cruel and he wants nothing more than for Sasuke to survive.

Nagato isn’t trying to take over the world just for the sake of power, he’s trying to take over the world because it beat him down to the point of believing that the only chance at peace there is is the world being forced into compliance through fear.

Iruka isn’t hard on Naruto just because he’s a strict teacher, he’s hard on Naruto because he knows from experience how unforgiving the world is towards orphans.

Kakashi isn’t just some silly and slightly lazy teacher, he’s a contract killer still grieving his loved ones and struggling to do better without knowing how he’s supposed to.

Sakura isn’t just a fangirl, she’s a normal girl in a very dangerous and abnormal world constantly being made to choose between what she’s supposed to do and what she feels.

Sasuke isn’t just some edgelord, he’s a survivor who lost everything then gets repeatedly told that he has to choose between keeping what he’s gained and doing better than his brother.

Naruto isn’t just trying to be the best Hokage there ever was, he’s trying to prove his worth to a society that abandoned him just for existing and, in a way, confirm his worth to himself.

The Naruto story is about humans trying to force themselves into the role of weapons because that’s what they were told they had to be. It’s a story where everyone is a perpetrator but no one is trying to do wrong. It’s a story where everyone is a victim but no one is a perfect victim.

The world and the characters aren’t simple and trying to simplify them only takes away from them. So of course we get passionate about showing off all the reasons why they shouldn’t be simplified and all of the ways they’re complicated. Of course we get upset when we see others simplifying them or selling certain aspects of their characters short. Of course we get upset when the series itself simplifies them. Of course we get upset when the series chooses to abandon them. Because it not only feels like the characters are giving up, it feels like the series is betraying anyone who chose to get invested in its complexities.

Sasuke Uchiha : He just forgets everything that is going on when he's having a hard time and you kiss his forehead. After the reboot he is right away able to think and analyze what is happening properly around him. You just got this power to soothe him and help him get out of these negative thoughts. And he knows how to return the favor in his own way when you're the one stuggling

Shikamaru Nara : Being an adult is such a drag. Work is such a drag too. So when he finally has time to have time for himself and chill under the clouds he can't help but keep thinking about other matters. So when you join him and put his head on your thighs and untie his hair before ruffling his hair. In an instant he feels his brain pause, unable to think anymore, his eyes just looking at the shapes of the clouds in the sky above you, enjoying his day off, occasionally looking your way to make sure he isn't dreaming. He's just so thankfull to have a little marvel like you in his life

Naruto Uzumaki : He is a simple man so just seeing you wearing his iconic black and orange jacket make butterflies erupt and happily fly in his stomach while he can't help but freeze in his action. You just look so small in this jacket it makes him want to carry you around on his back like a little backpack so bad - yes if he ever catch you he'd walk around the village with you like that. So you better try to avert other people's gaze because you ain't gettting down anytime soon

Iruka Umino : You're his first so when you bury your face in his neck or chest he needs a little minute or two to process that you're touching him. Willingly and physically - oof O.O But he loves it so much because like this he feels like he can protect you from everything the world send your way

Sai : He always takes such a great intake of air when he feels your hand press on his naked lower back and caress his pale skin. Of course he knows it's affectionate but he still feels like he needs to hold his breath. Sometimes you have to remind him to breath because he starts turning blue and that's actually never good

Hidan : The sight before him that always leave him breathless is when he sees your necklace dangling from your robe when your fiercly fighting your opponent. Should he add, his necklace that he gave you shortly after your meeting to the glory of Jashin. Once he took a hit in the jaw because of how entranced by you he was. He knows you may not approach this god the same way as him but he can't help but find you so sexy fighting with him for his believes. And should I add how strong you look when you're getting those corps ready for his ritual

Sasori : He always think about work so if you wanna make him aware of your existence you better be speak his language... and not make him wait. So everytime you come up with another corpse of a powerfull being for his puppets, he can't help but look at you with stars in the eyes as his brains fuel with all the ideas that come to him and… he doesn't work anymore and he stays fixed in the void. You know he is kinda happy when let's go of his tool and motion for you to sit on his lap while he works. And oddly having you here with him doesn't make him think one scond that he is losing his time

Itachi Uchiha : He's just on autopilot when you lift his shirt from behind and put your hands on his shoulders before massaging his aching muscles gently. Like he leaves you in charge of him and the rest he can't handle, not that he cares when your hands are just literally easing his pain like this. You've always been with him from what he recalls and he never manages to keep a conversation with you while your hands work on his shoulders and back. It just puts him to sleep right away, and that's good because he deserves it

Gaara : The wheels in his brain just stop when he hears you say the words "Dance with me" just after you put on some music and pulled pulls him flush against your body and asked him for a slow dance. His brain gets surrounded by so much questions like "Is he worthy of your time ?", "Will he disappoint you ?", "Will you hate him after you discover he CAN'T dance ?" that his brain overheats and he stands there motionless while you try to dance with him. Fortunately a kiss on the cheek and it's good he works again, but he is as red as his hair

Hashirama Senju : You tell him so much that he is strong that he sometimes forgets how strong you actually are. So when he sees you fighting an opponent fiercely, he can't help but look at you in awe as if you were Madara himself the strongest kunoichi he has ever seen. He just 🤩 and shower you with praises

Tobirama Senju : He may be really gifted to hide his feelings but gosh he can't help his face from showing how stuned he is when he sees you acting possessive towards him. Like the glare you send those people who dares to get to close to him. Like he could just ask them to leave him the fuck off but he just loves to see you this mad... it's kinda hot you know... but this he won't tell you

Kakashi Hatake : He always freezes and stares at you as if he was trying to bore holes into the top of your head when he sees you get on your knees in front of him at unexpected times. Like literally everywhere you know no one will walk in on you, on a hill, in the forest, on the training grounds, in the Hokage office... but it doesn't mean you're going to actually do something. Rock Lee : Okay so hear me out everytime he says he's going to go around the village 500 times on his hands if he doesn't do somethig else before you always add playfully "and if you can't do it either you're going to make me cum 20 times tonight" Of course each single time he gets red and starts stuttering... but be careful because one day he'll fail his task on purpose just to make your fiction a reality and the only think you're going to be able to utter will be his name
