I've never been one to care too much about my fave not getting awards or noms because first of all I don't really care about these things and secondly, I don't need an award to tell me my fave had a successful project. I think the only award I would care about if other BTS members got it over Jimin would be a Grammy, again not because I think a Grammy validates his artistry or success but simply because of what a Grammy represents to others and what it would mean if a Korean soloist got it... I only care about the Grammy because it's purely a ego thing for me (sue me) I don't need the Grammys to tell me a song is great, especially when they don't have a good history of picking the right winners.

I know it's annoying for someone to dismiss your own feelings about something so I try not to do that, because while I don't share the feeling of sadness or resentment over Jimin not getting his deserved wins and noms, I understand why pjms feel that way. And the main reason why I can't bring myself to care about these things now is because I know he's going to get them at some point. Sometimes you hear of an artist that has the highest chart positions and the most critically acclaimed works and you discover that they have never won major awards for whatever reason or some could have less noms and wins than artists you've never heard of.

Some people are lucky enough to get these awards along with the chart success and Acclaim right off the bat, some also get these awards without any chart success, with others it could take a while before they get these awards Even after years of being at the top of the charts.

An artist could release the best and most successful album of their career and they will get no awards for it, but that doesn't mean they are never going to get the awards they deserve.

Jimin had the success with face and eventually he will get his deserved awards for his future projects. He doesn't have to achieve everything on his first try, I know he will get the awards along with more successes when the time is right.

if you’re asking whether the only reason i don’t care about the grammys is bc of bts, the answer is no. i don’t care about the grammys because the recording academy is pretty transparent about the fact that they don’t care about music made by people of color. they literally put all the categories with majorities of nominees of color in the untelevised pre-show one year. they’ve been snubbing my faves of color since long before i even knew bangtan existed lmfao. it literally is just industry politics bullshit. that’s not to say that all the winners are undeserving, obviously, but i personally don’t care about an awards show where prestige is achieved by handshaking and asskissing. to each their own tho lmao if you want to give weight to an outdated xenophobic awards ceremony go right ahead

Since we’re talking watermelon sugar it’s my least fave on the album but they marketed it as super straight sex god harry and I feel like that’s why they put all this time and money behind it for awards. Like it’s not his best song or video but it’s got the most awards.

A fun, poppy song with a lighthearted sexual innuendo sung by a charming, sexy, straight man with a reputation for sleeping with everyone is much easier to sell than a song about exploring gender identity. It’s definitely easier than a video that’s actually a metaphor about closeting, about a quirky boy who loves a fish, or an old-fashioned dance routine that is, again, a play on gender. As a fan, it’s super depressing that the truly creative songs and videos get overlooked. But the label wants to make money and they don’t really care about artist longevity, and they certainly don’t care about his personal happiness.

And so here we are with Watermelon Sugar as the sole Grammy winner off of a phenomenal album like Fine Line.

Back to you, not a hater nor a shipper Anon. Keep blaming CS and believing every single thing your faves say if you want, but do yourself a favor: stop trying to change someone’s mind (with empty proofs) and try to convince them to think like you. It’s useless. As I already told you in that post: “You can come back here a hundred more times, but you won’t change my mind”. Just accept it. Just accept the fact that we think differently because we believe in different things. Follow the blogs that think like you if you want, create your own blog with your own opinions or whatever, but don’t go to CS ones like mine because you wouldn’t come out as a winner, as you could see all three times. bts is not the first nor will be the last artist used for clout. surprise, welcome to show business. i’m writing this as an army that really wanted them to win, you and many other armys are the reason i barely even want to associate with this fandom. every artist works hard and winning or not winning a grammy will not change that. how dare you make this about lack of diversity when two black women won the award. how dare you make this about diversity when jon batise was the first black artist to win album of the year in 14 years. did you just start becoming a fan of music and watching award shows? cause let me tell you before bts, the grammys used adele, beyonce, and taylor swift for clout. bruno mars and anderson paak aka silk sonic, also big winners of the night are both racially mixed nonwhite individuals, is that not diversity? don’t let fandom cloud your judgement, bts is very deserving of every award, they’re hard workers but doja cat and sza did not just pop up, a quick research will show you they both been making music since 2013-14 almost as long as bts and that was their FIRST grammy. i’m not even going to get too much into you calling olivia rodrigo “mediocre”, she’s a teenager writing love songs surrounding teen angst that’s pretty dope for someone who wrote all them songs before the age of 18. i hate when people come for bts talentry but i know who my faves are and i will never deny the talent of another artist just bc they didn’t win some award. maybe them people got grammys but can they say the got melon awards and mama awards or do those not matter to bts anymore?
