god it’s just.

the way mike kept emphasizing “friends”…

he’s beginning to realize. that’s if he hasn’t already realized…

…that will means something a little more to him than just friends, and that thought is terrifying.

the end of season 3 was eye opening for us and for him. he hasn’t fully connected the dots yet, but they’re starting to form a pattern in his mind.

i am confident he’s going to have a full realization in vol2. the writers do this shit on purpose. they could’ve had that conversation in the bedroom go a million ways, but no. they emphasized will asking what he and mike were, and mike sharply answering “friends”.

why emphasize it if nothing will become of it?

it’s the same reason they had mike say “it’s not my fault you don’t like girls” and not something like “it’s not my fault you haven’t grown up yet”

…however, looking at any possibility now that mike could’ve said there, they would all still have that underlying message of not moving on… whether that’s from will’s past or from his feelings. at this point, those are one and the same.

(because both of those things will haunt Will in vol2)

when—and i am confident it’s a “when” and not an “if”—Will gets cursed by vecna, mike will realize.

because the second Will gets lifted into the air, the dots will connect themselves.

suddenly, that “friend” he is about to lose will make him realize that there was one person in his life who he undeniably couldn’t live without.

we get that little hint this season. “…it’s not the same without you.”

but it’s all been there from the beginning. mike risked his life to find will in season 1. he stuck by his side like glue in season 2. he realized he’d hurt will and rushed to apologize to him in season 3.

and now? he’s made it abundantly clear.

Like man she used to really talk back to Skeletor, she kicked his ass sometimes! And yeah of course they were not equal to each other but like. She'd stop yelling at him when he'd physically threaten her and then she'd be like "yeah okay I'm gonna do this thing you want me to do but that doesn't mean I have to be happy about it". And also like. The mutual affection was evident to me in the filmation series, but what was also apparent is that their (individual) goals were more important than their feelings for each other, and like there was a teeny tiny bit of respect in this (I insist on tiny sksks, I mean that's that tiny bit of respect that stopped them from killing each other each time they betrayed each other imo sksk). And then you're telling me that Evil-Lyn is head over heels for Skeletor, like she loves him so much she lets him step on her?

This past month of work at the museum has been exhausting with all the member events, the holiday programs and special tours, on top on our regular day to day operations.

Needless to say my social battery is pretty drained.

But today I had the most lovely older couple come and take a tour and they had a great time. They gushed over our pianos and were so nice, I let them go behind the velvet rope to look at them more closely( I can do that). Turns out they were musicians and piano tuners and they told me some things I never knew about pianos, they asked good questions and were just really nice pleasant people.

It was an overall great time and I honestly think, this one visitor experience made all the stress and exhaustion from this month go away.
