It’s time for another Fic Rec List fellow humans!!!

And boy howdy do I have a LOT this time lmao. A good chunk of them are Kyle-centric, bc I, like my son Stan Marsh, have been fixated on that guy. Also there are multiple from the same authors bc I find something I like and read EVERYTHING by them.

There’s a range of pairings on this list too bc I’ll read pretty much anything (still mostly style they do be my favorite) so hopefully if u see ur favorite ship or an intriguing concept this’ll steer you to somethin u like!

* (rem)ember by boxwinebaddie. Ok we all knew I was gonna start the list w this one bc I am OBSESSED!!! Style holy shit! Crimson Dawn! Mentally unstable law student Kyle! RAVEN!!! The friendships and group dynamics! Rm lives rent free in my head dude plsplspls check it out!

* Painted In Shrouds by courtanie. Y’all want some Kysterion? This is one of my favorites! And NOBODY does Kenny like this author seriously. We got espionage! We got organized crime! We got overworked cfo Kyle! We got working together to take down the bad guys! We got blood and injuries and falling in love!

* Swansong by OrcaTimes. Fair warning this made me ugly cry. No one writes Craig like OrcaTimes YALL the Cryle destroyed me and doctor Craig always slays!!! It’s a beautiful story about love and grief, just GORGEOUS!!!

* Collector by cement_shoes. WHOLESOME STYLE ONESHOT!!! Them over the years, taking care of each other, Kyle handling bugs for Stan when he’s scared of them, growing up together and the trials of being human, but with someone always on your side. This one is SO sweet and gorgeously written, and a quick read too.

* A Ballad Of True Hearts by luckypoppies. Dude we all know I’m feral about SOT Style and THIS RIGHT HERE EATS!!!!! The history, the betrayal, the FANTASY VIOLENCE AND THERES THIS FIGHT SO FAR THAT SLAYS SO HARD! Being falsely accused of treason and subsequently exiled, tasked with escorting your prince to safety, GOD you just FEEL for the boys in this (plus we got them taking care of each other like yes yes gimme that fantasy whump) the world building is AWESOME I love sot AU’s and how different authors come up w the lore!

* Behind The Wall by Jwink85. Alright this one STARTS OUT nice, and is such an accurate representation of manipulative abusive relationships. Damien man holy shit. There’s so much going on in this, and the STAN PLOT OMG (yes style I love them) Kyle and Stan reconciling, Ike is my DISTRUSTING KING, high school angst, Tweek and Kyle friendship, Kenny being an icon, and I’ve said before but I love when Kyle’s written as generally wanting to see the good in people but still fiery in his own right, this is (a lot of jwinks stuff really that’s why I like their works so much) a great example of that!

* Simply Expandable by Kivea. YO WHO ORDERED THE MOB AU!!! Dude we got private investigator Craig, rival gangs, supernatural elements and mystery, conspiracy, fucking MOB BOSS KYLE?!?!? Kyle’s a bamf in this holy shit and bodyguard Stan, (this is Cryle btw and it’s fantastic) former k2, twenny, underground fighting rings, some KICKASS gang fights and the true antagonists bro the reveal was SICK! And when I say it’s a The Gangs All Here fic, I mean EVERYONE it’s wild and such a fun read it had me on the edge of my seat!

* And The Lightning Cracks The Sky by PastorCraigEnjoyer. Yeah yeah it’s cringe to rec your own shit sue me. But like Druid prince Kyle, Smokejumper Stan, forest fires, little mermaid but in the northern rockies ass plot, OVERLY PERCEPTIVE KENNY, mutual pining, magic, my beloved injury recovery (I gotta fuck Stan up ok) (I’m the worst)(giving Kyle chronic pain who me never) falling in love and saving each other’s lives, EVIL Cartman, I LOVED WRITING THIS ONE SO FUCKING MUCH it’s truly my baby.

* A quiet place (where I can scream how I love you) by sleep2thefr33zing. Coming of age style!!! So much emotional tension dude the pining is so fucking good, the first chapter is Stan’s perspective and the second one is Kyle and it’s BEAUTIFULLY PAINFUL WHEN THEYRE BOTH DOWN BAD BUT THINK THE OTHER ISNT!!! I love them being there for each other through all the bullshit of growing up, how resonant their falling outs are, it’s just so incredibly gorgeous and you really feel their emotions along with them.

* Knives by SparrowGrim. Ok so kyman isn’t my cup of tea but I’m putting it on the list bc some people do like it and this is an OBJECTIVELY FANTASTIC STORY!!! Tbh I only clicked bc I saw that it was Kyle centric (and that injury tag what can I say I eat that shit up) but I was HOOKED! Dark urbania, gangs running the streets, THE CODE NAMES SLAY SO HARD, we also got creek bunny stendy dip, the character relations are all so cool and the plot is WILD! Also Butters Kenny Stan and Craig are so badass jesus. Not even a ship I like but I loved the story.

* Peering Through Windows by Jwink85. C’mon I gotta have another jwink on the list and this one is SO. FUCKING. GOOD. K2 has been one of my favorites lately and THIS!!! We got dark cryle (my beloved) but when I say dark I mean CRAIG IS SO DEPRAVED!!! Like dude. But the story is THRILLING and artist Kenny is so kickass, Stan is a dad I literally cried over that small detail lmfao and I love jwinks Kyles and their idealistic nature (also I’m a sucker for any artist character) this story broke my heart and mended it again it’s incredible.

* Hunger Pains by Bellweather. Ain’t nobody doin Stan like bellweather MY SWEET PRECIOUS BOY UGH!!! The style is so great omg. The main four dynamic in this is wonderful, them trying to help Kyle through his ED (damn I really do read a lot of shit where Kyle’s suffering huh) all the characters are so well fleshed out and IKE I LOVE IKE IN THIS! The chapters have individual content warnings which is a great touch. Craig having prophetic dreams! Kenny dying multiple times! Chaos! Teenage camaraderie! There’s plenty of humor to make up for the dark shit but it DOES get dark. The mystery element in the beginning is really cool too I definitely have read this one multiple times.

* Find Somebody by hypercatt. STYLE!!! Stan-centric and so so so good, I love a platonic stendy team up too. some of the senior class goes “missing” and WHEN I TELL YALL I WAS so nervous that I read it out of order to make sure everything turned out okay lmao seriously this one had me WRITHING! There’s a gorgeous analogy throughout of physical hurts as a metaphor for mental illness and healing that just SPOKE TO MY SOUL!!! And there are so many beautiful moments, especially near the end, and the message of opening up and not running from your problems is beautifully written. Another one that occupies my brain lmao.

* To Have And To Hold by courtanie. Yes this is another one where Craig is SERIOUSLY DEPRAVED but hear me out!!! The plot, like I would DIE to adapt this to the screen, you feel like you’re watching a dark kidnapping race against time when reading this. And THE K2 IN THIS HOLY FUCK!!! Another one of my favorite Kennys ever and it’s so frustrating for the reader and the characters because WE ALL KNOW WHO TOOK KYLE BUT THE COPS ARENT DOING SHIT! The ending is unbelievably satisfying and the rest of the gang teaming up is so awesome STAN AND KENNY GOING FERAL OVERPROTECTIVE I live for that. But god the shit Kyle is subjected to, but he doesn’t lose that fire (Kyle ily sry)

* When The World Shakes, Hold Me by Bellweather & Blinkxs. The world building in this is PHENOMENAL!!! Post apocalyptic stuff, survival, STYLE!!! Some serious dark themes tho this is a heartbreaking read like damn check the tags frfr but the writing is MAGNETIC!

* -South Park- Style Sickfic/ Injury Fic Requests by AlwaysInSTYLE. Alright alright we all know I love my style hurt comfort and this is a request book/ oneshot series that’s JUST Stan and Kyle taking care of each other and I LOVE IT. you’d think it would get old but it DOES NOT. they’re not repetitive at all, and really fun reads! If you check it out, tell her PCE sent you we’re homies.

* Rookie Mistakes by espyonz. I love me some stenny and BRUH STANSTERION!!! Long oneshot that had me hooked. We got gentle hearted detective Stan who truly wants to protect and serve and is out of place in a corrupt police department. KENNY AS MYSTERION we know I love that shit, and he’s so awesome in this!!! The team up of Kenny Stan and Wendy to find missing people and uncover the truth behind their disappearances is AMAZING. We got Wendy as the tech girl which is SO slay (plus she and Heidi are together asjdhdks) and Kenny is hilarious in this, like he’s such a little shit and I adore this adaptation of his superhero persona. This one dropped LAST NIGHT and I’m so glad I didn’t make a red list post until now bc THIS NEEDED TO BE ON IT!!!

* Seven Candles by courtanie. Yep another one I’m tellin u, one of the best Kenny writers out there. So uhh Kyle in a Very Bad Situation again, like some of it was really tough to read. BUT!!! We got a war between heaven and hell!!! KENNY AS A FUCKING ARCHANGEL ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? (I live for courtanie’s overprotective kenny holy shit) this is legitimately my favorite Kenny interpretation IVE EVER READ HES SO FUCKING AWESOME!!! Plus we got satan being Done with Damien’s shit lmao and Kyle making friends with a hellhound which is fun. THE FINAL BATTLE WAS SO COOL TOO I LOST MY MIND!

* Why Remind Me by Kasen. One of the best style oneshots BRUH it’s so good with such a wholesome ending and the FEELINGS CONFESSIONS!!! The boys playing superhero, then later we got high school style and an accident that leads to a reminder of a kiss and UGH ITS SO CUTE!! Just- just read this one I love it sm.

First & Last Lines

Basically, post the first and last lines of the last 10 fics you posted. WIPs are welcome.

So. Why the heck not, LOL? They're all Teen Wolf. I added two at the end that are unposted WIPs so I put in the first and last sentence from my most recent drafts. Sidenote, this took so much wrangling. LOL. Seriously, it was literally easier to hand-write out the code than it was to use the built in rich text editor, so shoutout to Tumblr for motivating me to re-familiarize myself with HTML. XD I don't have anyone to ping, but I still wanted to participate, so here's my contribution!

1. Worth Fifty Thousand Words, (344 words): Sterek comedy ficlet

First: Stiles gaped after Mrs. Brooks. Derek stood beside him, eyebrow raised. Last: The Sheriff answered half a beat later. "So, dad..."

2. Taste of Truth, (781 words): Danny/Stiles ficlet

First: Danny rubbed his temples and rose early from his meditations. Last: Stiles grinned back, cock-sure. "I'm counting on it."

3. Scent Masked at Midnight, (344 words): post-canon Sterek. Angst with a happy ending/smut.

First: Stiles cracked open the door to the tiny New York apartment he shared with Derek after another night of striking out at the club. Last: “So, Stiles says I’m a maudlin drunk…”

4. Pie, (1,337 words): Sterek with Peter/Sheriff on the side. Pure silly fluff.

First: Derek huffed, rolling his eyes at Stiles' theatrics. Last: Peter was right. It was goddamned delicious.

5. Untitled Swan Stiles, (18,592 words): Sterek comedy/drama with two poly side pairings/heavy side pairing emphasis.

First: “Also! I don’t appreciate you entering the territory unannounced, magic tree stump be damned, and I sure as fuck don’t trust you with our territory, no matter what Derek says,” Stiles yelled, mid-rant, arms waving in not so silent fury. Last: Stiles’ laugh was like music as they climbed back in the Camaro. It filled with the scent of Stiles’ joy as they sped off towards the cafe.

6. Aubergine, (1,494 words): Sterek comedy fic

First: Derek stared down at his phone, brow furrowing. Last: Eventually, Derek, broke the silence. “…Is your offer still on the table?”

7. Ephemeral Sacrifices, (1,294 words): Sterek. Distilled a much more complex fic idea into a single angst to fluff scene.

First: Stiles stared down at his hands, complete and clean of the blood-and-black-goop slurry that should have still stained his skin. Last: Derek listened fondly, occasionally providing input as they walked out of the woods and into the gray light of a new day's dawn.

8. Naga gonna give you up, (17,146 words): Sterek comedy/drama. One major poly side pairing, two minor.

First: “Show me.” Last: Derek answered with a kiss.

9. Trading Ties, (currently 5925 words): Sterek smut with plot fic.

First: Stiles came to slowly, modulating his breathing and heart rate to hide his consciousness as best he could as while he collected his thoughts. Last: ..."Got any more of that kanima venom?"

10. Untitled fic. The chapter I have written is called Remittance. (2016 words): Sterek angstdrama/action fic.

First: Stiles trudged into the room as the Rogers pack filtered in. Last: Even so, they weren't forgotten. He'd see them in his nightmares.

Miss Grant's Home For Peculiar Beasts - 7.

“If you want me to fuck you, Supergirl, then you all you have to do is ask.” Andrea smirks at her through the mirror, “you know I’m the only one you can’t exhaust, darling, but your interest in the wolf is endearing…. By all means, go ahead and try your luck with her, she seems super approachable.” She rolls her eyes and laughs dryly, “I bet she’s adorable when she’s angry and baring her teeth at you.”

Kara rolls her eyes and moves closer, her hands settling on Andrea’s shoulders as she stands behind her and meets her shining eyes in the mirror.

The robe leaves little to the imagination, thin and sheer, hanging open in the front to reveal soft curves that nobody in the mansion can seem to get enough of—Kara included. A dark brow lifts and the smirk on full lips widens, but Andrea doesn’t say a word as Kara begins to massage her shoulders, perhaps even quietly impressed by the Kryptonian’s ability to withstand her teasing.

“The wolf is indeed capturing my attention,” Kara nods, “but not in the way you seem to think. My job is to ensure we are safe here and the one raised by our enemy is someone I should most certainly be keeping track of.”

“That is your only interest?” Andrea scoffs, making it clear she doesn’t believe her in the slightest.

“My, my,” Kara chuckles, “I do believe you are jealous, ‘Drea.” Kara lightly squeezes her shoulders, “you can have anyone you want and, indeed, you do, including me whenever the desire arises.” She grins, “even if were interested in another, there is still more than enough of me to go ‘round, pretty girl.”

Name: Emery Annbeth Weston From: Denver, CO Born: 9th November, 1993 Siblings: 1 younger brother

When she was 12, she developed an eating disorder, due to bullying that occurred from school. Despite being a perfect weight for her age, people called her names (fat, ugly) so she stopped eating almost completely. It got to an extreme, when she was 15 and barely weighed 71 pounds.

For her 16th birthday, her family took her to a nearby WWE Smackdown show, where she was able to meet some of her favorites (Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, Beth Phoenix). The one that stood out the most to her, that took time to really talk to her, was Kofi Kingston. Just seeing how thin she was worried Kofi, and he made a deal with her—Get to a healthy weight, and when she becomes a star, he’ll team with her and they’ll win the (to be created) intergender tag team championships.

Emery was filled with emotions after their talk, and while it took quite some time, she eventually got to a healthy weight and even began getting some muscle mass.

Any History of broken bones? When she was 6, she fractured a bone in her arm. Luckily, it didn’t require surgery.

Any injuries from wrestling? In early 2014, after starting in ROH, she got knocked off a ladder and landed awkwardly. No concussions or breaks/fractures, but she sprained her ankle. Mid 2014, she was on the receiving end of a face-plant type maneuver and her nose got broken. They were able to reset it and it healed fine.

Behind the Story of ‘Dark Angel’ persona For the beginning of her career, Emery was a baby face. She didn’t want to be booed; she didn’t want to be a ‘bad guy’. She liked being a baby face. A lot of people suggested she try though, to see if she liked it or not, and if not then it could always be switched back.

She wasn’t convinced though.

When she made the trip to Japan, it was only meant to be temporary, for a few months at most. She got to hang out with her ROH friends like the Bucks—who in turn, introduced her to Kenny.

That was the moment all plans went out the window. The two of them hit it off and became almost inseparable. Gaming, arcades, cat cafes—they bonded over everything it seemed like. She got a good look at his Heel persona, the Cleaner, and wondered… perhaps it wouldn’t be too terrible?

With a little nudge from Kenny and some artistic input, they worked together in just mere months to create the Dark Angel version. Short blue hair, almost all black, punk-style clothing, and a badass attitude At first, she only wore more moderate clothing. Things that covered her-- issues stemming from her weight issues as a teen. However, after many conversations with not only Kenny, but Jay, Ibushi, Matt, Nick, and both Adams, she risked it all and wore slightly more revealing clothing, short shorts, skirts and cut-off shirts. And she began to love her body.

She’d cost people matches, interfere, attack people – even people twice her size—and she done it all with a smile and laughing maniacally.

Some people compared her to Harley Quinn or even the Joker.

Over the course of the next year, Emery got better at conniving and being devious, calculating and began to show disregard for Bullet Club enemies.

In 2017, she went with Kenny and got her first tattoo. A full-size pair of Angel wings on her back. After getting it, she no longer needed to wear the wing prop she had worn in previous years.

She figured, if she played an Angel, she might as well have wings. This is the moment that brought upon Kenny nicknaming her his ‘Angel’

Natalie Dixon is a junior at Hawkins High school and a close friend of two time senior, Eddie Munson. She’s long since been known for her loud mouth and ‘devil-may-care’ attitude, but after the events of November of 1983, the frigid wall she’d built around her heart seems to be melting. And Steve Harrington is no help when it comes to keeping up her tough girl persona.

Her father, RJ Dixon, is a known felon. Wanted for various misdemeanors and larger crimes such as drug trafficking around the nation. Spending more time in prison than in Natalies life, she found a father figure in Wayne Munson, her mother’s sort-of boyfriend. Katie Dixon tried her best to be there for her daughter, but between picking up extra shifts at the local diner and working nights as a dancer in one of Indianapolis’ various dive bars, her parenting duties have been put on the back burner. Natalie has long since resorted to raising herself and keeping the people around her (save Eddie and Wayne Munson) at arms length. But again, Steve Harrington and his newly acquired nice guy charm, have been making it extremely difficult for her to do so.

Jeremy Mayfield went from being sort-of openly gay in California, to being completely closeted when he moves to Hawkins. Transferring during your senior year is never ideal, but in Jeremy’s case it’s even worse considering he has his shitty step-father and his even shitter step-brother to deal with. Although, his younger sister Max, who could be argued to be his only friend, makes it slightly more bearable.

Only when Max gets mixed up in the drama of the Upside Down, Jeremy has no other option but to stay by her side in order to keep her safe. But in doing so he finds a friend in Natalie Dixon, Hawkins’ resident burnout, who just so happens to be the best friend — maybe girlfriend? — of the hottest man Jason has ever laid eyes on; Eddie Munson.

RJ Dixon didn’t know how not to be a fuck up. Being raised by a deadbeat father of his own drastically effected his ability to parent. So, instead of sticking around and hurting either Natalie or Katie, like he knew he inevitably would, he left in hopes of sparing them the pain that his own father had caused for him and his mother.

They say, old habits die hard, and in RJ’s case, they most certainly do. Still involved with the same gang his father once led and still hooked on the same drugs he’d spent his high schools years wallowing in, RJ hadn’t changed a single bit. He wasn’t capable of it. His life was like clockwork: carry out tasks for his gang, get caught, go to prison, land right back in Katie Dixon’s trailer swearing that he’d “be better this time” only to flee within the month. aww yeah that's my first hermittober finished! :D I saw it going around last year but wasn't confident enough to attempt it as I was only just starting to write fic. So this year when a new prompt list came out, I thought I'd write drabbles for each prompt, bc it's a small daily commitment, and I could practice writing drabbles and voices and hermits that maybe I wouldn't necessarily commit a longer fic to just yet as I'm still learning voices and characterisation and relationships/friendships.

It's mostly Hermitcraft, with a few Double Life ones bc I can't let go of Tango/Jimmy, or Grian and his secret soulmate.

i didn't set out to make it shippy, but it did get there bc I have too much convex brainrot lol, but the ships never overtook the genfic drabbles, and there's nothing actually smutty, just allusions to it.

Miss Grant's Home For Peculiar Beasts - 6.

“Aphrodite?”

“Yes,” Cat nods, “I assume someone as smart as you has heard of her.”

“We learn of all kinds of beings during our education,” Lena murmurs, “which I’m sure you’re aware of.”

“Then tell me what you know of her.”

Cat stands firm, her hands casually linked behind her back as she pauses her pacing and turns to face Lena. She can almost feel the pain that the young wolf seems to be in as she catches her eye roll at the last moment, a habit that had perhaps been beaten out of her long ago by the Luthor matriarch.

“Is telling you okay, or would you prefer an essay?”Lena doesn’t bother to conceal her eye roll this time, “the Goddess of love, lust, passion, pleasure, beauty, and sexuality.” She ticks them off on her fingers, “is there a pop quiz that I should be prepared for?” Lena snarks, almost petulant in the face of the woman who had ensured she didn’t die alone and naked in the forest.

Cat purses her lips and sinks into the armchair by the fire.

She studies the young wolf, easily noticing the similarities she has with her former lover. Those eyes, although colder and more guarded than Elizabeth’s, are enough to cause Cat’s heart to crack in half, painful memories seeping into the gaping chasms.

Cat sighs and leans further back in her chair, casually swilling her wine around in the glass. The wolf has an attitude, one that Cat would usually have little tolerance for, but perhaps it is to be expected that Lena would have a chip on her shoulder. It’s a pity, really, because the child she once knew was so carefree and loving, so achingly similar to her mother before the Luthors got their hands on her.

“You asked about the woman with the siren,” Cat murmurs, “and I’m giving you the answer.”

She watches as Lena freezes, a frown causing train track lines to form between her brows before her features make way for a grin that soon shifts into a mocking laugh.

“Do you really expect me to believe there is a Greek Goddess in your house?” Lena seems more amused than annoyed, clearly not believing Cat for even a second. Cat can’t blame her, of course, for she herself had once scoffed when she was told of Sam’s ancestry.

“A descendant,” Cat corrects her, “but yes, she holds the powers of Aphrodite.” She cocks a brow, “you know of werewolves and vampires, you have felt the lure of a siren, and you met the young woman you have watched fly around our skies with a cape; what makes this so hard to believe?” Cat chuckles softly, “surely even you are not quite as stubborn as to deny the possibilities of our world.”
