Oh she's lovely. Super cute! The one piece of advice I'd give is if you haven't already, go into options and check out (and possibly edit) your key bindings. Unlike some other games, BG3 doesn't remind you which keys you can use to do stuff, and some (like context menu) are VERY key to playing but not at all obvious.

It's been so long since I PC'ed rather than console/controller gaming that I have no idea what I even want which keys to do, so I won't be rearranging anything as of yet, but I do appreciate the reminder to make sure I know what the options are :D

I have made it to 1 (one) location so far, so currently her adventures are: fall from sky, kill a couple goblins, have a very low opinion of a druid lady, and get smiled at by Wyll right after she witnessed him being nice to children which was an experience and a half for her so she may decide she's not interested in the Lady that I in fact finally broke down and played the game to meet. 🤣🤣🤣

My first impression was that seriously considering a vast majority of otome suitors may lead to, hm. A mismatch, if not a fiasco. Largely because plenty of them either need to be chased down to some extent (nets may or may not be useful) or need to lie to "remain on the dark path for the sake of the greater good", neither of which seems like a particularly desirable option. Not to mention clinginess or yandere types.

But, let's not go down the "not [descriptive]" route, and instead set out to define something in more positive terms.

I think you'd do well with honest, supportive characters who seek an equal relationship and can see your smarts... So, in other words, a real-life boyfriend material. Possibly somebody a bit more on the responsible, "I stay on top of things" side... Or, well, at least "I can get things done" side. A fun person with their own set of interests and friends to hang out with.

But not too fun. Definitely not a serial prankster. Most likely not even the purple one, but... Who knows, who knows... It could be a love/hate relationship...

Now, my main issue is that it is not exactly easy to find suitors who'd be just... your normal everyday daydream, so to say.

Suggested Characters: Masamune (IkeSen; you may need to chase him a little, but he also does some chasing, so it evens out?), Leon (IkePri; ... don't let me break out into a rant on why we need more Leons irl, please...), Yves (IkePri; maybe?), Sasuke (IkeSen)

9. Do you have a favorite member of the Tiefling Refugees? Is it the same as your Character's?

A copy/paste response since I already answered this one.

My favorite is probably Mol.

My character would probably really like Zevlor. She’d like that it seems he’s doing what he can to help fellow Tieflings, even her experience isn’t fully similar to the refugees.

18. How did your Character deal with Wyll, Karlach and Mizora?

Also being a Warlock, my character feels like she has some understanding of the situation Wyll is in, but also doesn't want to see Karlach killed. So, ultimately she pushed for Wyll to go against his orders.

31. Does your Character have new or old phobias or superstitions that affect their story?

Hmm...that's tough.

Not sure if I'd say phobias, but a couple things:

Being a Tiefling I think brings a certain wariness around other people with how her kind have been treated.

And being a Warlock, she already has one extra voice in her head at times, so she isn't thrilled about having more.

Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie (I'm not feeling it yet, hoping that'll change.) Idk if it's my kind of Sci-Fi but people mentioned it over and over at 4th Street and I got the audiobook awhile back so I started it after finishing Helldivers book one. I'm also three chapters into Wicked Beauty by Katee Roberts (Honestly not feeling this one yet either.)

Current obsession:

Sleep Token. I have not listened to a band or album this much since Moral Panic by Nothing but Thieves a few years ago. I listened to that album constantly from front to back. The Take Me Back to Eden album by Sleep Token has surpassed that immensely. What kind of band are they? Yes. I think Djent if we're talking technicalities in subgenres. But Metal/Prog Metal is probably a better description. Though I think Wikipedia just calls them a rock band, which is... FINE I GUESS

Also, is it weird that a person with a certain kind of phobia takes a shine to a metal band that exclusively wears masks? Yeah. This dude's voice though, I don't know what to tell you. It's good shit.

I could tell you about it, but I'm really more curious to see if anyone guesses what's going on here. Unfortunately, I do tend toward the wordy, and even without counting words I can tell you I don't know enough people to tag that many.

You should definitely read them. They're really good, and if you do not have Beauty and the beast on DVD, send me a PM, and I can give you a link :) Also, at this point somebody might have uploaded the actual TV series to the archive but I have to check when I get home.

I have read the first one already and it's great! The second one will probably happen while sitting at the dr's office next week 🤣 (And I think I know someone with the DVDs, but if not, I will let you know when we get to the end of the current Colombo season. <3)

I haven't played any of the others either, and it's fine. This game is a giant combination of Dragon Age and D&D and Divinity Original Sin, and so if you like any one of those things it's absolutely worth it.

I have not played Divinity, though I've seen it when Thing 1 checked it out and it seemed quite good, and I do like TTRPG's and have a passing familiarity with other people playing D&D specifically? And we both know I love DA so... ALSO A COMPELLING ARGUMENT!

Meme has been having a lot of fun with it AND I WANT TO JOIN THE FUN, but I've never played this kind of RPG game before and historically I have been Bad At Figuring Out Problems (looking at you Lara Croft) but on the other hand i love DnD so....

I'll admit that the mechanics of the original BG is mostly why I never played it; too many dice rolls behind the scenes. Like, I love TTRPG's but I've never been good at keeping track of the actual rules I just bullshit with people I like a lot? Randomness/dice karma is fun when it's people, I find it less fun in CRPG's... I like to know WHY I failed or succeeded at things in computer games and what in theory is possible if I played differently.

I have found that even if I eventually break down and try the thing and like it, I am usually pretty sure that I wouldn't have been as in to it at the time that my gut went idk meh blurgh? so. Probably a good idea to trust your gut, no matter how incomprehensible it is. <3

I'm writing this IkeSen longfic, right? The one point I got stuck on was that I lacked information on siege warfare during the Sengoku period, and ended up reading up on it... I wouldn't necessarily call it thorough search, as it did not go outside the resources I could find online, but let's say that stars aligned and I stumbled upon Siege of Inabayama... Which was gracious enough to solve EVERYTHING.

Except Sen's timeline. Nothing can fix Sen's timeline. Do we even want to fix Sen's timeline? I don't want to fix Sen's timeline. No, no, no, no, MC's just so lovable they all had to be alive at the same time. It just works like so.
