Jezebel story rewrite
Tumblr media
After the holy war, many felt as if life itself was slipping through their fingers- so many towns, kingdoms, and even cities were slowly building themselves up again. Some very common and well-known towns were forgotten but many other towns came, and some holy knights left Liones to start their journey. They spread out across the world while others stayed in their hometown, two holy knights lived and worked in a village that slowly became a huge city. The city was known for its beautiful and foreign women and its knights, it pales in comparison between Camelot and Liones but still has great soldiers. But this city has a dark and dangerous secret: it is very horrible to its demonic residents, many demons live in famine and poverty. Anyone who helps them will be punished.
In the cold winter, a nun and her husband who was a priest came into the town. The nun held onto her pregnant belly as she and her husband rushed into a hospital, the doctors were quick and polite with the nun as she gave birth. But something went wrong- wrong, as the nun was pushing out the baby the room felt like dark energy was pulsating around the room. The wind from the winter was blowing harshly and even broke a window as the nun gave birth, the trees fighting the harsh winds as the nun tried to push out her baby peacefully, the priest noticed this and was immediately shocked and frightened. The nun tried to push out but a loud and harsh sound came from outside, the husband tried his best to cover up the windows but the wind was too strong. The husband looked out the window to see it, a huge winter storm messing with the entire town.
But after a few more pushes, a baby came out but it wasn’t crying. The nun cried as the doctors cleaned off the baby, “I-Is it stillborn..?” the husband asked as he held his wife but the doctor looked at the baby and smiled softly at them. “It’s a girl.” The doctor looked at them softly and the husband smiled and hugged his wife tightly, they celebrated the birth of their baby but the doctor didn’t tell them the other news. “But we will have to examine your daughter for a couple of days, since she wasn’t crying we don’t know if she is healthy” the doctor explained as he slowly walked to the nun, the nun held the daughter softly in her arms and cried “Oh.. She’s so perfect..” she wail as she rubbed her daughter head softly. The husband agreed and kissed his wife “She must’ve gotten it from you..”. “I think Jezebel will be a nice name for her.” the nun looked at her husband softly and the husband nodded softly.
The doctor smiled softly as the couple gushed over their daughter but he cleared his throat, “Please we need to examine her..” he mumbled softly and the nun gave him Jezebel. After a few days, the nun and her husband were starting to get worried, “The doctor still hasn’t given us our baby back!” The husband growled at the nurse and the nun wailed loudly. After telling the staff the story, the nun and the husband waited for hours for the doctor to come; the doctor looked at the couple with huge eye bags and a pink blanket wrapped in his arms. The doctor took them into a room and sat them down, he asked them a series of questions, and at the end, he sighed helplessly. “Your daughter is a demon..” he told them coldly as he rubbed his forehead in stress and he looked at the nun and her husband “We don’t serve or even provide for demons here but since you both are humans, I have an option.” The doctor looked away and put Jezebel on the soft baby bed.
“Hide her from the city and don’t let her go out in public without supervision from one or the other. I placed a curse on her- whenever she uses dark magic- she is met with a pain that is indefiniteable.” He told them before leaving them with nothing but their demon baby and their thoughts.
As Jezebel grew, she turned into a smart and beautiful girl. She would often get dolls and treats from boys and girls would always ask her for things like relationship advice- she always helped others. Her ambition grew with her, she found out she was a demon at a young age and swore to never eat a soul. She was talented and praised as such, but one day. She was attacked by a knight and the knight burned down her family house, after this violent attack. Jezebel started to practice fighting and magic, by the age of 12 she was already top of her class in fighting but magic was too much for her. It was supposed to come naturally and without using demon magic she was weak. Eventually though she gave up on using magic and only used her fighting skills.
Ever since then she swore herself two things- that she’ll never eat a soul and that she’ll never let her get weak and bullied like that again.

All Nighters Chapter 9
Fandom: Mamamoo
Pairing: Moonsun (Moonbyul/Solar), Implied Wheesa (Wheein/Hwasa)
Rating: PG-13
Title: During Midnight Movie Screenings
__________________________________________________________________
They go on many more dates after that and it becomes a habit of sorts for Wheein and Hyejin to join them for weekly date nights. Though, it eventually ends up with the two younger girls getting front-row tickets to Byulyi and Yongsun’s almost outrageously bad flirting attempts.
Tonight, they’re at a midnight screening for a marathon of old rom-com classics. They’ve been given the day off tomorrow, so what better way to spend the night before than to get lovey-dovey with the girl of her dreams?
Yongsun glances at Byulyi beside her snacking on a bucket of buttered popcorn with one hand, and her eyes drift down to the other resting on the armrest between them. She shifts slowly, silently, making sure it isn’t too fast and weird, like they haven’t already held hands before in bed, noses touching, legs tangled talking about future plans and their dreams together. Their hands almost touch when she hears heavy breathing behind them, and pulls back to see Wheein staring at them from between their seats, eyes wide and nostrils flaring.
“What are you doing? Keep going.” Wheein says to her like she isn’t one breath away from burying her nose in their hands and Yongsun fights the urge to facepalm. Byulyi looks at the younger girl, confused.
“Keep going what?”
“Oh for- we wanna see some action!” Hyejin sits up beside Wheein and hollers at them like a teenage boy and yup, Byulyi has turned red and can’t even look at her, kill me now. Wheein jabs at Hyejin, who grumbles and falls back into her seat.
“Don’t listen to her, you guys are doing great.” Wheein says like a mother to her children.
“I could put rocks next to each other and they’d be doing better than you two.” Hyejin says loudly- they both flinch- and Wheein elbows her in the ribs again. Hyejin grunts.
“Can you say something supportive for once? They’re trying their best! We were like them once upon a time.” Wheein turns to look dreamily at a now-stiff Byulyi and Yongsun sitting in front of them. “Oh look, they’re blushing! How cute.”
“They’ve been blushing since we got here. What are they, NPCs? Can’t they do anything else?”
“Hi, still here? Right in front of you?” Yongsun grits out, not willing to turn around and give Hyejin the satisfaction of having enticed a stronger reaction from her.
“And yet, somehow nothing’s happened this entire night so far so I’m beginning to question this relationship, to be honest. Have you even seen each other’s boobs?”
She hears a strangled noise escape Byulyi’s throat next to her.
“Of course they have, their badonkadonks have been poppin’ lately. Clearly a result of loving touches and uh sex, probably.”
Yongsun doesn’t know which is worse. The word ‘badonkadonks’ or the fact that they’re explicitly talking about her and Byulyi’s intimate life like it’s a Sims 4 game.
The lights begin to dim before any more can be said and Yongsun thanks the heavens for it as the two behind her settle down and the movie starts.
At least it’s a midnight screening. There aren’t many customers around and those that are there have long since moved far away from the rowdy bunch sitting in the middle of the theatre. Yongsun watches the movie, eyes on the screen but mind elsewhere, or more specifically, on the girl next to her and her hand that is still not held.
It’s strange how despite everything they’ve done together (of course they’ve seen each other’s boobs), it still makes her stomach turn to build up the confidence and make a move on Byulyi even though they are dating, which technically makes them girlfriends and that means Yongsun is technically allowed to hold her girlfriend’s hand in an almost empty movie theatre if she wants to.
And she does want to.
Still looking straight, she reaches over in a burst of courage and grips Byulyi’s hand like a lifeline. Yongsun vaguely registers a quiet gasp from behind them but ignores it in favour of Byulyi squeezing back as tight and intertwining their fingers. Warmth spreads through her entire body and she feels the smile blooming on her face when Byulyi gently brushes her thumb over her hand.
Yongsun focuses on the movie and feels at peace again, as she always does when they’re together.
“Look at that smooth shit. Are you taking notes?” Aaaaaaand it’s gone.
She glances over at Byulyi, who is desperately trying to hold on to some form of sanity as Hyejin leans over to grab a handful of popcorn and point at the screen.
“Shhh!” Byulyi hisses.
“Why are you shushing me? There’s literally no one here.” Hyejin scoffs. “Also, you better do something or your loser club membership will be revoked. Holding hands doesn’t count.”
“Since when was there a membership?!”
Hyejin looks at her watch in the darkness. “Since now.” She’s not even wearing a watch.
“And why do you get to decide?”
“Because I’ve decided that I can. Now shut up and watch the movie and... make out, maybe. If you want to. Whatever you’re comfortable with.”
Yongsun laughs. In her own, aggressively charming way, Hyejin just wants to see them happy.
So she reaches over, ignores the loud shriek of happiness behind them and presses a kiss to Byulyi’s lips.

Summary: Yongsun knows she’s an idiot but she’d thought herself to be an idiot with good ideas.
Yongsun knows she’s an idiot but she’d thought herself to be an idiot with good ideas.
They’re in a seedy club at some inhumane hour of the morning. Byulyi has somehow managed to convince her to go even though she’s got a paper due tomorrow and hasn’t washed her hair in 3 days.
“ISN’T THIS AMAZING?” Byulyi yells over the crowd of people wildly bumping their bodies into each other and the blaring music. It’s humid. Yongsun’s sure she’s stepped on something gross. At least 2 people have tried grinding on her, she doesn’t know. What she does know is that Byulyi’s holding her hand tight and she’s about to spontaneously combust.
“It’s really loud in here!”
“WHAT? WHAT DID YOU SAY?” Byul makes a pained face at her, stretching back to hear her better.
“WHAT Oh—never mind.” Yongsun sighs, realising that no matter how loud she shouts, Byulyi can’t hear her over the loud music. How is she supposed to flirt with Byulyi if they can’t even hear each other? Another body falls on her and Yongsun is this close to biting someone’s ear off. She grunts under the weight of a clearly inebriated body and struggles to push him back on his feet. Of course this fucking caveman has to fall on me, of all the people in this hellcave.
Suddenly, Byulyi appears in front of her and pushes the man off her.
“Hey, watch where you’re falling, asshole!” Byulyi snarls, anger flaring in her eyes, arms holding Yongsun closely, tightly, and Yongsun feels her face heat up as she presses herself closer to Byulyi’s frame.
“Thanks, bodyguard,” Yongsun breathes out.
“WHAT?”
“I said thanks!”
“WHAT?”
“Forget it!”
“...WHAT?”
“LET’S JUST GO!”
“I can’t hear you, let’s just go!” Byulyi pulls her arm to signal her to start moving and they start wading through the swamp of people once more. A light bulb flickers to life above Yongsun’s head instantly. They can barely hear themselves in the noise, much less each other. It’s an opportunity falling on her lap and Yongsun’s damned if she won’t take it.
She clears her throat. “Your hands really turn me on.”
Byulyi doesn’t even turn around to look at her, just keeps pushing forward through the crowd. Yongsun bites back laughter and squeezes Byulyi’s hand. She turns around at that, tilting her head in slight confusion, face sporting a grin. Yongsun shakes her head and they continue moving as glee at the prospect of what she can do in her current situation fills her up.
Walking deeper in still, the club gets louder and darker even though Yongsun didn’t think it was possible mere minutes ago.
“Hey, hot ass lady holding my hand,” Yongsun tries. “Could we go get some drinks before hitting the dance floor?” No reaction.
“You sexy beast. Hold me tight. Grab my tiddies and drag me into a kiss.”
Nothing. If Byulyi can hear her, she doesn’t show any indication that she does.
It’s even better than I thought, Yongsun thinks incredulously. She gives a tug to the hand that’s holding hers.
“Can we get a drink first?” She asks in her normal voice, not even trying to compete against the noise. Byulyi frowns and leans closer, lips forming a ‘what’. Yongsun smiles and gestures towards what distinctly looks like a bar and tilts her head back to mimic the act of drinking. Byulyi perks up, nods, and they head off to a new destination.
It’s a little quieter at the bar, the air still shaking with heavy bass, but Yongsun can actually hear her own thoughts now. A familiar beautiful woman with a smouldering gaze is already waiting for them at the bar, an eyebrow raised, and Yongsun fights back a blush when the woman glances between Byulyi and herself as they walk towards her.
“Surprise!” Byulyi yells and almost leaps across the counter to wrap the woman in a hug.
“How did you manage to find me? I barely started working, like, two days ago!” Hyejin laughs, arms going around to return the hug before pulling Yongsun into another smothering one.
“I have my sources!” Byulyi says and Hyejin rolls her eyes.
“Wheein! Of course.”
“Where is she anyway? She owes me 15 bucks!” Hyejin motions to somewhere behind her and not even a moment later, a young dimpled girl appears beside Hyejin and squeals, dragging all four of them into a group huddle.
“HELL YEAH! The gang’s back together for a night of booze and bad decisions!” She jumps around excitedly and Yongsun feels her heart melt at the sight. She glances at Hyejin and Byulyi and she’s sure she’s not the only one. They are all soft for Wheein and her bubbly energy.
“Making bad decisions won’t be a problem with how fucking LOUD this place is! Are the speakers busted or something?” Yongsun winces as the music somehow gets louder than before, a remix of some top 10 EDM song reverberating in her skull.
“We don’t really know why but the other bartenders tell us it’s the DJ! He always plays the music this loud just cuz it ‘sets him in the mood’!” Wheein explains and Byulyi rolls her eyes.
“What an asshole.”
“Right?! Most of the DJs we’ve met here are really nice but he’s the only one that’s a big meanie! Just earlier tonight he…” Wheein launches into a story and Byulyi listens attentively, straining her neck forward to pick up on Wheein’s excited chatter. Hyejin quickly fills up two mugs with some cheap beer for them and is off to respond to a customer calling for her. Byulyi sends a wink her way as thanks before focusing her attention back onto Wheein and her flailing arms.
Yongsun adores that part of Byulyi that is so attentive and pays attention to details. The one that tries her best to be inclusive. The one with so much kindness and care in her heart. It was a quality that attracted so many of her friends to her and helped her to easily make more.
“I love you so much,” Yongsun stares at Byulyi and the words slip out before she can stop it. A spike of anxiety stabs her before realising that it is too loud for anyone to pick up what she’s saying. “That jacket looks great around you but you know what would look better? Me.”
Byulyi doesn't react. She’s still listening attentively to Wheein’s enthusiastic storytelling. It’s a chance she can’t miss.
“You funky lesbian, why the fuck are you so perfect, huh? Wanna fight? Wanna sit on my face? I dare you. I’m so in love with you. I’m not even joking. I would lay my life down for you like a knight for her queen, except like, I don’t wanna die, so maybe not. I’d fight a man for you, though. I’d choke all the men in the world for you. Fuck, you look so good. Marry me.”
Yongsun is on a roll, spitting out cheesy compliments and flirty pick-up lines. She says it to no-one in particular, keeping her eyes on the hyper duo next to her as she nurses her drink in one hand.
That is, until she realises her phone has been incessantly buzzing in her pocket. It’s enough to get her to take it out and look through her notifications.
Hyegi: oi
Hyegi: im on the other side
Hyegi: bitch dont ignore me look here
Hyegi: are u talking to yourself or smth wat the fuck

Hyegi: bicth
Hyegi: thicc byulssy???? UVE GONE TOO FAR
Hyegi: HELLO!! LOOK HERE ASSHOLE!!!
Yongsun is absolutely mortified. Her eyes quickly dart to where Hyejin is leaning against the counter a few metres away, smoothly typing away on her phone, as if she didn’t just ruin Yongsun’s entire night in a few texts. Hyejin glances up to look at her and smirks. Yongsun's fight or flight response is fully activated and screaming at her to somehow knock Hyejin unconscious and make her lose all memory of tonight.
Yong: FUCK
Yong: dkjfhsljdfh

Hyegi: dont test me because i will throw this drink in ur face
Yongsun laughs and looks up only to see Wheein gone and Byulyi staring at her and smiling. She feels her heart jump out her chest and tries to not let it show. She raises an eyebrow and Byulyi shakes her head and takes another swig of her now finished beer. Hyejin walks up to them with Yongsun’s drink on the house.
“Hey, how come she gets another one?!” Byulyi pouts, shifting closer to Yongsun and her new drink.
“What can I say? I’m a natural charmer!” Yongsun shrugs, a teasing lilt in her voice, which makes Byulyi pout even more. Hyejin rolls her eyes and walks away. Yongsun realises that it’s just her and Byulyi now. She clears her throat uncomfortably, unprepared to face Byulyi one-on-one, despite all the ‘training’ she’s undergone.
“Holy shit, I love this song! For a shitty DJ, he’s got pretty good taste in music!” Byulyi perks up. She gets off her chair and sways to the song now playing through the speakers. Yongsun watches awkwardly as Byulyi dances without a care in front of her.
She thinks she’s disassociating. In another dimension.
Byulyi? Sexy dancing in front of her as she sits and watches? Not even trying to escape? Absolutely unheard of.
She’d already be running for the hills on a normal day.
I’m too fucking gay for this shit. Is this happening? Is this really happening? What the fuck.
Yongsun doesn’t budge an inch on her seat, doesn’t even grab her drink. Her eyes watch Byulyi intensely, expression unchanging as the younger girl dances without a care in the world, unaware of the quickly deteriorating mess that is Yongsun’s sanity. Byulyi’s eyes lock with hers and she feels something important escape her body.
Her phone buzzes again and again and Yongsun forces herself to tear her eyes away from the spectacle that is Byulyi and respond to it.
Hyegi: u lesbian
Hyegi: SHUT UP ur sex eyes are so obvious
Hyegi: U look like u are one blink away from pushing her down!! Fuck
Hyegi: i cant deal with this
Hyegi: remember to use protection xoxo hwasa
Yongsun rolls her eyes. Her phone buzzes again. What now?

Moonsun Claustrophobia AU
i tried ok
rated: T for language? and uh awkward children
kinda hostile towards one another after first meeting
byulyi is a new employee and yongsun is (attracted) so she decides to be nice and holds the lift door open for byulyi but byulyi gives her this sneering look that makes yongsun fell like she’s been scalded
takes the stairs instead and doesn’t even talk to yongsun for the rest of the day
yongsun decides that she hates her (she doesn’t actually but she doesn’t tell anyone that, not even herself)
they have banter
wheein calls it ‘sexual tension’, yongsun calls it murderous intent.
Starts to notice things about byulyi
She never takes the lift?? What kind of weirdo, she texts wheein
But then again a sweaty byulyi isn’t a bad thing
“okay so maybe there is some tension”
Important meeting one day and they’re both required to attend it
On the tenth floor
They’re both rushing into the building at the same time
“you’re never going to make in time if u climb the stairs you monkey, just take the lift”
byulyi hesitates and yongsun almost wants to force the doors shut but she doesn’t
finally she gets inside
as they go up, yongsun tries to make convo but byulyi doesn’t reply, doesn’t even spare her a glance
ugh rude?? I just saved ur ass and u don’t even want to look at me???
Suddenly the lift starts to jerk and the lights flicker
Yongsun thinks she might have heard byulyi whimper
And there goes the power (at least the ventilation works)
The only thought that goes through yongsun’s head is that ‘shit im stuck in a lift with my crush who I have to pretend to hate and we’re gonna be late sHIT”
Yongsun quickly presses the alarm button thing and waits for help to come
She doesn’t hear anything from byulyi and turns around because hey, she has to at least make sure byulyi’s alive right? If byulyi dies here, her ass is gonna be dragged to jail
She’s never seen that shade of white on byulyi’s face before
There’s no trace of the usual teasing smirk or irritating pride on her face
Byulyi’s shivering and shaking and yongsun’s kinda scared this is exactly like what happened to that one girl in that one scene in that one horror movie
Still, yongsun’s a good person (even to byulyi) so she slowly approaches the younger girl
The last thing yongsun expects is for byulyi to look at her with the most frightened pair of eyes she’s ever seen in her entire life
Yongsun immediately drops the ‘i despise you but I want to make out with you too’ pretense and drops to her knees
Byulyi lunges up to crush Yongsun against her body and Yongsun shortcircuits
because holy shit byulyi is hugging me and she smells like what dreams would smell like
Yongsun doesn’t know what to do, she’s never seen or dealt with this kind of byulyi ever
“just let me hold you please”
byulyi’s sounds so scared yongsun instinctively holds byulyi tighter
comforts her as much as she can without dying herself
yongsun’s sure byulyi can hear her heart beat like a heavy metal song
byulyi calms down a little after a while
yongsun tries to pull away but byulyi makes some kind of strangled sound in her throat and won’t let go, burying her face deeper into the side of her neck
and oh my god that was so cute but why am i so turned on right now what the hell
“I guess I should explain”
apparently byulyi’s had claustrophobia since a really young age after getting locked in a closet for hours while playing hide and seek and her cousins couldn’t find her so they gave up and when she tried to get out she couldn’t
“im sorry I was a jerk to you when we first met” she blurts out
“you didn’t know about this so it’s not your fault” byulyi says quietly “thank you for doing this for me even though you kinda hate my guts”
holy shit she’s so cute
“I don’t I swear - okay maybe at first but after that I didn’t anymore, like I thought you were a weirdo for always taking the stairs but I didn’t hate you or anything like that”
did she really just say that
Byulyi stays quiet for a while and yongsun notices that now there are two very loud heavy metal bands playing
“I always thought you were the prettiest girl here but I didn’t know how to tell you. everytime I tried to open my mouth id say something stupid”
oh god someone help me
“please im far from being the prettiest here im like a 7/10”
byulyi gets this grin on her face and yongsun knows she’s in some deep shit
“you’ve always been 11/10 in my heart though”
what the hell
what the hell
yongsun’s sure her face is now bright red enough to light up the entire elevator and byulyi lets out this soft laugh and her heart just physically crushes into itself
“thanks again for doing this. I feel a lot better”
“I should be the one who’s sorry. Because of me you’re scared half to death. You could be upstairs right now, in the meeting.”
“id be tired and sweaty, no thanks. Id rather be here with you”
and yongsun’s tongue and lips run on autopilot even though the rest of her body is telling her abort abort stop what you are doing you loser
“you’re not disgusting when you’re sweaty.”
No don’t do it
“you smell good. I kinda like it.”
Oh my god
But byulyi’s face turns as red as yongsun’s and she starts stuttering and all of a sudden yongsun is revived from the depths of hell
“thanks um I’ll run more then”
why did she not notice how cute this girl was before all this oh right eternal enemies and all that
“we could run together if you’re okay with it” come on yongsun it’s so simple just say it
“the only place I want to run to is into your arms”
??fuck me
byulyi looks up, startled and Yongsun thinks that maybe it’d be a good thing if she died right now
“are you always this smooth”
yongsun laugh sounds like part braying and part choking on saliva
an hour ago she was a smooth professional and now she’s a blubbering mess of hormones and embarrasment someone save me
the lights flicker and a dull whirring begins as the lift jerks to life and starts moving slowly up
Byulyi grips yongsun almost tight enough to stop the blood circulation and when the elevator door creal and groan open, they’re almost blinded by the light
Byulyi quickly scrambles out, gulping deep breaths of air, almost staggering and yongsun feels stupid hugging air like that
She collects their bags and walks out the lift as well, stopping beside byulyi to make sure she’s alright
yongsun sees wheein among the pack of curious colleages and lift technicans that stand in front of them
feels byulyi grab her hand and wheein’s gasp from the side
but then byulyi smiles and would you look at that angels really do exist
line break or some shit like that to the next day
yongsun walks into company building sleep-deprived after wondering how to face byulyi now after wheein’s interrogation and all that happened in the lift yesterday
and then she sees byulyi standing in front of the lift, waiting for her no she’s not stop your delusional ass before you hurt yourself
but she’s not being delusional, not when byulyi looks up and sees her and grins so widely her nose muscles make an appearance
and that’s it yongsun’s sold.
And they date that’s it that’s the ending

A Happy Ending Chapter 2
Chapter Title: Fresh wounds don’t heal
The nightmares are frequent in number as the nights roll on.
Byulyi lurches up in her bed, her shirt drenched in perspiration from visions of her own heart ripped out from her chest, of Yongsun laughing at her, of her own ears bleeding dark red, of the same scene replaying in front of her again and again and again.
She looks around the room wildly. Her throat is too dry to cry out for help and her pulse thuds against soft skin, hard enough for her to remember the pounding of her bare feet against the rough ground as she ran from everything she had ever known that night.
Her lungs struggle for air, for relief and Byulyi scratches at her own neck desperately to seek it.
Footsteps sound closer and closer as a white flash fills the room and a crack of thunder follows it. Hyejin’s face is the first thing she sees and she stretches out for the familiar visage.
“Hyejin,” she sobs, voice cracking and limbs moving wildly to reach out for the younger girl. “Hyejin she’s here- she’s in my dreams, I have to go away from her, from all of this- Hyejin please, please please help me I’m scared,”
Hyejin walks up to the bed, pulls Byulyi into her arms in an instant, holds her as Byulyi scrambles up to clutch at her, fingers digging into her skin, sobs muffling into her neck.
“She’s not here, I promise. It’s just me. You’re okay.” Hyejin says softly, closes her eyes and breathes in Byulyi’s scent, feels the rush climb up her spine. “You’re okay.”
“It hurts,” Byulyi cries. “It hurts so much and I don’t know how to make it not hurt anymore.”
Hyejin only holds Byulyi in her arms.
She doesn’t trust herself to say another word.
“What is this?” Yongsun glances at her over metal pieces and colourful packets. She picks up a piece of paper on the table. “Why does this say ‘cotton candy machine’?”
“Because that’s what it is,” Byulyi snorts and rolls her eyes, hands twisting another part in. “And I thought I was dating someone with more intellect…”
Yongsun throws the coloured packet at her shoulder, where it bounces off harmlessly. “You’re so obnoxious. Byulnoxious.”
Byulyi looks up from where she’s fiddling with the bits of machinery, soft strands of blonde hair falling into her sight. Yongsun stands beside her with crossed arms, a smug smirk playing on her lips, giant sweater slipping off one shoulder.
Byulyi can’t stop the soft bloom in her chest from spreading to her entire body.
“Wow. That hurt. Really gets you right there in the kokoro. Truly. You win.”
Yongsun growls under her breath and leaps, almost tackling Byulyi off the chair and saving her from ending up on the floor by pulling her into a deep kiss.
“I honestly don’t know how I’m going to survive living with you for the rest of my life.” Yongsun murmurs against her lips.
Byulyi startles awake to tears trickling slowly down her cheeks and Hyejin pressed against her side, gentle huffs of breath tickling her neck. They are close together, legs tangled, arms winding together in a tight grip.
She carefully slips out of Hyejin’s grasp, feels the shame of the vulnerability she had shown her the night before warming her cheeks. She tries to rub the warmth away, brushing away tears in the process.
Byulyi doesn’t sleep after that, only holds Hyejin’s hand in a weak grip and brushes a thumb over her knuckles, watches her sleep. There isn’t much comfort to be gained but it distracts Byulyi from her thoughts enough.
It’s not long before she sees Hyejin’s eyelids flutter open. A yawn, along with a wave of morning breath that makes Byulyi crinkle her nose, follows after.
“…orning,” Hyejin’s voice sounds heavy with dreams and Morpheus’s blessings and Byulyi actually feels content watching this vulnerable, completely different side of Hyejin.
“Good morning,” Byulyi whispers back. “You reek of morning breath.”
“And you didn’t sleep at all, did you?” Hyejin runs a hand down Byulyi’s back in concern. “Was it the usual dream?”
Byulyi blinks. “Nightmare. Yeah. The same as always.”
“I’m sorry I can’t do more.” The atmosphere around them is heavy with Hyejin’s guilt and Byulyi feels more of a burden than ever.
“Hey, you did help me last night,” Byulyi says. “And one way you can help me more is by getting rid of that morning breath, it seriously reeks.” She pushes Hyejin away playfully.
“Mention my morning breath again and I’ll kiss you so hard you’ll smell it everywhere you go,” It’s only a joke but Byulyi feels her heart stop beating for a fraction of a second.
“Good morning, love,” Yongsun hums, quiet and brimming with sunshine and affection that Byulyi doesn’t feel like waking up because she’s sure it’s just a dream.
Until she tastes the saliva Yongsun starts to basically shove down her throat.
“GMH-BLEGDSDH-!!“ Byulyi slurs out in her haze of drowsiness and utter disgust. “That smells horrible!”
“Yongsun’s Ultra Wake Up Medicine has just been administered!” Yongsun cheekily says, rolling over to Byulyi’s shivering form and straddling the younger girl’s stomach.
“That tasted more like poison.” Byulyi gasps. “I really think I’m going to die.”
“Look on the bright side-“
“What bright side is there when you’ve just been poisoned?!”
“Now you’ll smell me wherever you go!” Yongsun laughs, chocolate hair pouring over her shoulders and brushing against Byulyi’s skin.
“This is not the ideal scent I want to carry around with me,” Byulyi yells over her shoulder to the sound of Yongsun’s laughter as she leaps off the bed and into the bathroom to rummage for some mouthwash.
“…That’s something she used to say.” Byulyi murmurs, her throat constricting at the memory.
Hyejin’s eyes widen, her smile disappearing instantly. “Oh shit. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry; I didn’t know- I-“ Byulyi cuts her off with a bitter smile.
“It’s not your fault. You couldn’t have known.” She says, hands shaking as she forces them into fists. “I’m sorry, I know I’m supposed to try and get better and forget her but no matter how hard I try, she’s always hiding somewhere. In a word or a place or an action, she’s always there.”
Hyejin wordlessly rests her hand on Byulyi’s fists.
“I can’t escape her, Hyejin.”
The sobs wrack her body as she curls up into a ball in Hyejin’s lap, and there are no more words said.
Wheein pops by with an armful of goodies she’s dubbed ‘heartbreak cure set’ and a relatively large box suspiciously hidden by a white cloth. And though Wheein’s attempts do nothing to heal the wounds, they do manage to distract Byulyi from her thoughts.
She pulls the goodies one by one out of the pile on the table and there’s so much that Byulyi loses count. “Oh, and I’ve got some bath bombs-”
“I don’t have a bathtub.” Hyejin dryly says.
“-High-quality instant noodles-”
“Unhealthy.”
“- You know, I’m starting to think you don’t like any of my gifts.” Wheein pouts. Byulyi lifts her elbow and digs it into Hyejin, who grunts in response.
“We do. Thank you for this Wheein. I really, really appreciate this.” Byulyi says, voice soft, and leans against Hyejin, who instinctively brings an arm around her frame. Byulyi doesn’t notice Wheein’s eyes widen slightly but the girl beside her does.
“Later,” Hyejin mouths to her and Wheein nods before turning around.
“And last but not least,” Wheein carefully brings the large box - which Byulyi now recognises as a carrier and sits up a little straighter (Hyejin narrows her eyes) – places it in front of them and lifts the white cloth to reveal a startled Kkomo peering at them from behind the metal cage bars.
“A lifetime supply of Kkomo! Courtesy of yours truly, of course.” Wheein grins at Hyejin’s accusing gaze and the sight of Byulyi slinking down the sofa to sit right in front of the tiny cage door and stare at the creature inside with twinkling eyes.
“Kkomo do you remember me?” Byulyi says in her quietest voice. Kkomo’s ears perk up. “Don’t be scared.”
Byulyi unlocks the cage door and opens it slowly, not wanting to frighten Kkomo anymore than he already is. Kkomo seems to hesitate for a few seconds before he walks forward and steps out of his carrier. “That’s it. It’s just us.”
Byulyi gently picks Kkomo up and cradles him in her hands, soft fur tickling her fingertips. Kkomo chases after her fingers as they poke and tickle him. Byulyi shyly laughs.
“Achoo!” Hyejin sniffles, quickly grabbing a handful of tissues from the tissue box sitting on the cabinet next to her. “I can’t believe you’re using my allergy against me like this. You knew this would happen, didn’t you?”
Wheein waggles her eyebrows. “Hey, you’re not the only one who wants to spend time with Byulyi-unnie. So I went with a more natural approach to kick you out of the picture.”
Hyejin rolls her watery eyes and stands up, looks at her watch and sighs. “I gotta go anyway. There’s some food in the fridge. Get takeaway if you want.” She looks pointedly at Wheein. “I don’t want to see cat fur anywhere near the bedrooms, alright?”
Wheein salutes Hyejin with a playful grin. Hyejin smiles back at her and glances at Byulyi, who’s looking at her with sadness reflected in her gaze.
“You’re leaving?” Byulyi says and Hyejin feels tightness clenching her lungs, similar to the throbbing in her heart back when she saw Yongsun and Byulyi together.
That was a long time ago, Hyejin tells herself. You’re over it.
“Just some work. I’ll be back in a few hours.” Hyejin leans down to brush a lock of hair from Byulyi’s face. “Besides, you’ll have Wheein and Kkomo here for company.”
Byulyi doesn’t say anything, but nods after a few seconds of silence, eyes still dark and hurt and piercing through Hyejin’s body.
“I’ll be back before you can start to miss me.” Hyejin teases her. “Trust me, I’m not going anywhere.”
“I’ll be back before you start missing me, Byul-ah,” The words are pressed into her lips so many times that they’ve become a welcomed scar.
“But you’re always doing overtime,” Byulyi pouts. “How am I supposed to believe you when you say that?”
Yongsun laughs, bright red filling her cheeks, eyes crinkling with pure, simple joy. Her hands cup Byulyi’s face. “Just trust me.”
Just trust me.
She remembers those words with every breath that leaves her mouth.
Byulyi remembers frantically scrubbing the words away, her skin, her flesh, every thought that’s ever been about Yongsun, every possible, endless red string of fate they could have shared, of every future they had laid out in front of them, every grain of sand that the sandman had blessed upon them to spend together.
She couldn’t; still can’t.
They remain stains on her body, blistering and painful and permanent.
Byulyi forces a smile for Hyejin, ignores the sickening, slithering darkness swallowing her up from the inside.
“I trust you,” She lies.
Wheein glances at her for a split second and Byulyi knows Wheein knows.

she leaves, she’s gone
Fandom: Mamamoo
Pairing: Moonbyul/Solar (Moonsun)
The room is dark, silent. Yongsun feels like she isn’t at home. It doesn’t feel like home anymore. Not with Byulyi standing at the front door, duffel bags at her side and bloodshot eyes looking at the floor.
Yongsun is resolute, firm; doesn’t budge an inch even when the heavy weight of guilt burdens her and tells her to let Byulyi go.
“We can talk about this.”
“There’s nothing to talk about, Solar.” There it is again.
“Stop calling me that.” She hisses, the hurt poisoning her throat. Byulyi says nothing else. “Please. Just- put your bags inside our room. I’ll make us something to drink.”
Byulyi sighs, heavily, deeply; her shoulders drop even lower, fatigue dragging her down. Yongsun’s eyes shift away from the sight.
“Stop. Let’s stop this, please. I’m tired.” Byulyi’s stare is hazy, almost like she isn’t really there and Yongsun’s resolve falters a little more. “I’m so tired, Solar.”
“I am too, so stay here tonight. It’s late and-“ Yongsun tries but Byulyi cuts her off without any mercy.
“I’m tired of this- of us. I’m tired of being in love with someone who won’t love me back as much.” Byulyi looks so broken, so utterly defeated and it comes as a heart-stopping shock to Yongsun because when did it get this bad?
When did Byulyi start to lose her shine?
When did she start to look less than Byulyi and more like Moonbyul, the stranger she met at the beginning of their long journey?
Yongsun can’t remember.

First Meeting
Pairing: Moonbyul/Wheein (Wheebyul) feat. Kkomo
Tags: Fluff, literally just fluff, kkomo
Wheein introduces Kkomo to someone very special.
He’s gently pawing at her feet; looks up at her to get her attention.
“Behave, okay? She’s already nervous enough as it is.” Wheein says, wags her finger at him but her tone is as gentle as ever.
The doorbell rings and Wheein can see Kkomo tense up as he watches her jog over to the front door.
She has to tiptoe slightly to look through the peephole but she opens the door quickly enough and in stumbles a frazzled Byulyi, struggling to hold onto armfuls of items. Wheein can barely see the crown of the older girl’s head over the things she’s carrying.
“Give me strength,” Byulyi gasps, still holding onto her items. Wheein laughs as she closes the door and holds her hands out to help her. The older girl shakes her head, letting out a final grunt as she puts her gifts down on the couch and stretches.
“Byul, what is all this?” Wheein raises an eyebrow as Byulyi shrugs out of her leather jacket.
“Toys, duh.” She says. “Oh, and some treats for you too.”
“Toys? All of them?” Wheein laughs. “This is way too much, byul.”
“Well, I didn’t know what else to get him so I picked whatever looked good in the store.”
Wheein smiles as Kkomo timidly pops his head around the corner to look at the foreign thing in the living room. His ears perk up when Byulyi walks to Wheein’s side and lets out a loud gasp. Kkomo quickly moves back to hide in the shadows.
“Is that him?” Byulyi whispers.
Wheein nods. “Yup. Wanna carry him?”
“But he’s so tiny. Even tinier than you.” Byulyi squints her eyes at him. “What if I like, break a bone or something?”
“I hardly think you’re capable of breaking bones when you can’t even open a marker cap by yourself.”
Byulyi pouts. “I thought we were never going to bring that up again.”
“Kkomo,” Wheein calls, squatting and tapping the floor to get his attention. “C’mere!”
Byulyi watches in fascination as Kkomo pokes his head out at the mere sound of Wheein’s voice.
Kkomo leaps out and dashes to Wheein, much to their amusement. She quickly picks him up and stands before he can scramble away.
“Kkomo, this is Byulyi.” Wheein holds Kkomo gently and gestures to an awkwardly standing Byulyi.
“…Hi.”
“Just carry him already.” Wheein holds Kkomo, who slowly stills in her grasp as Byulyi approaches.
“How do I-“ Byulyi flails her arms, shuffles around the kitten like it has an infection, angling her arms in what she thinks is the correct way to hold him. “How about you just- ok wait, no- shit I touched his fur is he scared-“
“Oh my god here,” Wheein dumps Kkomo gently in Byulyi's arms, who is slowly but surely dying inside and switching to Panic Mode™.
Kkomo looks up.
Byulyi looks down.
Kkomo’s ears twitch.
Byulyi’s nose muscles crinkle.
“Hey there. I’m Moon Byulyi,” she says softly, nose booping his as she brings him up to her face level. Kkomo meows softly at the contact. “I’m your mommy’s girlfriend.”
