Now I was a little apprehensive about today’s appointment with @targetnutritionandfitness because this month has involved a bit of pity partying lol. Ive had some really high stress events going on, I bailed on workouts, I reintroduced balance meals after being completely sugar free the month before and worked heaps of hours at work. As I say this though I also want to remind myself that whilst things weren’t exactly perfect, life wasn’t meant to be! This isn’t about pefection, it used to be and that mindset got me nowhere. Balance meals ARE ok! Cake is ok! Listening to your body is a must and this journey I’m on isn’t a fad or a diet, I’m going to eat and exercise this way for life so however long it takes me to get to goal doesn’t really matter. It’s about mindset and as I said in my earlier post, that’s where the most progress for me was this month and out of anything in my life, that’s what needed to change the most! Soooo the physical changes? I know you guys are itching to know! THIS MONTH.... *I lost 2.6kg *I went down by almost 1% body fat! (Im now at 28.6% and the big one... *MY METABOLIC AGE IS 31!!!!! Last month is was 33 and the month before 38 and guess what! I’m 34 so I now officially have a “fast metabolism” SO What’s next for me? I’m currently completing the @lean 30 day quit sugar challenge again and I will continue to get my monthly body scans with @targetnutritionandfitness and work with coach @mj_fitlife and I’m ganna chip away at my ultimate goal of reaching 25% body fat! . #readytowork 💪🏼 . It’s been a while, but I’m back! 🙋🏼‍♀️ It’s been one heck of a ride the past few months! As tough as it’s been, my focus on my health has still remained priority. . Even though I’ve never been one to wait for a “new year resolution”, or “I’ll start on Monday”, I do enjoy a refresh of all the tools I use throughout the year. . Meal Prep is crucial to success. I don’t care what program or “diet” you follow, all of them work 100% better with preparation. These containers are pretty tough, so I only buy them once every 6 months—or when I misplace all the lids😂 . I’m fortunate enough to be building two of my own small businesses, while having just opened and managing a new weight loss clinic with a company I’ve been with for only 6 months!!! As excited and blessed as I feel, my own nutrition took an occasional hit over the course of the last three months. I mean, we’re all human right?🤷🏼‍♀️ These protein to go shakes have saved me on many occasions. Just like preparing meals is key to success, so is a back up plan. These shakes are affordable, and contrary to what some say, I actually like them🤷🏼‍♀️ lol. . The lunchbox! These can be pretty expensive for a lot of good reasons, but I snagged this beast for only $20!! It comes with 6 containers, a supplement pack, shaker bottle, water bottle, ice pack and is insulated!!! A lot of patients or clients have heard me say many times, you need 6 “eats” per day, there is no excuse to miss one now! . Another awesome evening with @bodyrocktv_lisamarie!! Last night it was Reps and heavy. I used 26 lbs for the first part and 36 lbs for the second. Have a little shoulder trouble so had to use my other hand as a guide for the snatch step ups and had to eventually drop the heavy weight to my chest on the lunges. Considering I couldn't hold my arms over my head but a few seconds when I started I'll call that a win. I’m going to do a thing in 2020. I started a new Instagram to share about my fitness adventures. If you enjoy that part of my life, please go follow me at @becauseshelifts. . It’s been over six months of going to @CrossFitElect for me so I wanted to share the details. After losing 35 pounds (diet change & cardio) and keeping it off I was at a stand still. I liked going to classes like Zumba, but my old gym didn’t have them regularly enough for me. I even gained a few pounds back. 😬 I liked the idea of a personal trainer, but not the price tag. So I decided to take a friend’s advice and make the plunge after seeing my husband’s results after just six weeks. I made sure to take measurements because I knew he hadn’t lost any weight, but WOW! I learned quickly that the number on the scale means nothing. Muscle weighs more than fat, so it takes up less space. . I have found more than just a place to work out, I have found an amazing encouraging community. I have made so many friends and I actually love getting up and going to the gym everyday. It is no longer a chore. . So since I’m 6 months in and get asked frequently why CrossFit, I decided to share my stats. These are just from when I started CrossFit, not my weightloss journey in total (55 pounds lost). . Weight lost: 19.6 pounds inches lost: 15 I can now do movements that I wasn’t able to before without hurting myself like squatting and lunging. My anxiety and stress has improved as well. . And getting stronger everyday. 💪🏻 If you are wondering where to start, try cardio for a while and then build up to strength training. And if you are thinking of joining CF, do it. I wish we hadn’t waited so long. Don’t be afraid like I was, just make the leap. Workout crushed 🏋️ Something exciting is happening today. Number 1 it appears kaddy is better now and number 2 I am going to see Tammy from @targetnutritionandfitness to see what progress I’ve made this month!!! Now this journey has taught me a few things. Slow and steady wins the race. I no longer drastically reduce my calorie intake or exercise my body to exhaustion. This is a lifestyle change. I only do what I know I will be able to stick to for the rest of my life. This includes having the balance meals like takeaway, cake, less intense workouts if my body calls for it. I have put my body through hell over the years. Starvation, binge drinking, laxatives, drugs, excessive exercising, weight loss pills, not exercising at all... you name it I’ve tried it I guarantee you. So these days I listen to my body and I’m kind. I don’t punish myself and you guys shouldn’t either. What’s the point of that. I would never treat any of you guys with disrespect so why the fuck do we treat ourselves with such disrespect!? Anyways! I can’t wait to share this months results with you all, whatever they may be! Maybe there won’t be any physical changes! That’s okay!!!
