RUGGIE

Ruggie hasn't grown an inch since 9th grade. something about undereating since birth will give you bones as strong as wet tissue paper.

has strange bruises on his body that even he doesn't know where they come from.

freckles and moles on his shoulders/back

thin, but also like super toned from all the manual labor. Think ballerinas, where it's just like skin, muscle, bone and no fat.

very faint smile lines, I imagine they'll get deeper as he gets older.

he also has like, bulging calf muscles. It's honestly scary its the thickest part about him

just about as hairy as the average human, which is pretty little by beastman standards.

wears a kid's shoe size. on a darker note, I think his feet might be like permanently fucked up from wearing shoe sizes that were too small for him as a kid.

floppy ears, and they press flat to his head when he's upset. omg they also press all the way backwards when he's running fast to make himself aerodynamic like a cat.

calloused hands, and he also picks at his cuticles and bites his nails. Vil would be appalled.

you can see his ribs most of the time, they aren't like super prominent (they used to be) but you'll definitely notice them if he's got his shirt off.

Breaking Away With The Beast of Both Worlds: The original '80s "Beauty & The Beast" TV series has been on my mind more than a bit lately. It's an election year, so a certain segment of the press is naturally drumming up a late '80s Fear City-inspired panic (the show's setting, the female lead suffering a frightful Central Park Jogger-like attack) about the lawless Big Apple to portray it as if it was "The Warriors," "The New York Ripper," or "Escape From New York." The city's had multiple cases of ill-advised and even fatal cases of subway surfing over the past two years. The Beastman Vincent, in one of the series's best conceits, would ride atop the sideway like he was bodysurfing to valiantly come to the aid of the imperiled heroine. I can see how the face of homelessness has changed on the streets due to the income gap and housing shortages, so much so that the World Below as depicted on the show -- I recall news reports back when it first aired covering the Mole People who had retreated into the city's netherworld beneath the concrete as evidence of failed big city governance -- as a subterranean haven for society's embittered and beleaguered dropouts is seeming evermore plausible.

Ruggie headcanons

I have too many and was asked to share

starting with appearance:

I believe ruggie is way more tan than his canon design, with him doing jobs a lot as well as me thinking he goes out to play and entertain the kids on his neighbourhood (he cares for them a lot and brings them trinkets he stole)

Because of the jobs and everything he does around in the slums, he has a bit of muscle. But he is fairly skinny, during nrc is when he started to gain more weight.

He also has quite a bit of moles on him.. scattered around everywhere but you can also see a few on his face and around his collar bones.

Along with the moles he as well has quite a bit of scars that can range from the dangerous things he’s done for jobs or just in general, to stupid things like him once falling and eating shit while skateboarding on a board he found and taped back together. Most of them are on his hands but you can find a lot littered around on him, I think he has a lot of scars on his hands for a lot of reasons, one of them is because of his cooking.

He makes little mistakes but when he was younger his grandma was always there to help him and patch it up.

I also think he has a lot of body hair, mostly on his arms and legs. To him it’s just “if it already grows there why bother? it doesn’t get in my way.” He likely had a bit more than humans do because he is a hyena beastman, he might shave his face a little but other than that he just leaves it.

His actual hair style to me is more unevenly cut, and more longer (maybe a shag) something that he can move out the way when he needs to. His hair became more uneven and choppy when he enrolled in nrc because before that his grandma would cut it for him. Because of his enrolment and him leaving for months at a time she taught him as well. He is the best at it but leona tries to help him out, jack is just there for moral support.

But his usual appearance when he’s out and about at school, he try’s to look more put together just to make good impressions but other than that he has a comfy style with clothes he’s found (stole) over the years and from leona. His clothes can look very baggy and big on him but he makes it work.

As long as it’s practical, easy to move in and makes him look good. He’s content.

Because of all the jobs and things he’s had to do, he must’ve gotten injured quite easily. I think he gets pain in areas that he has repeatedly injured before out of the blue, usually it is a constant and he still continues to work and push through it. Later in his nrc years savanaclaw has made it a point to watch out for him if he looks like he’s struggling and urge him to take breaks as to not over exert himself.

Book 2 spoilers:

After leona’s OB, the arm to which leona’s UM was used left scars and a constant pain that added onto the pain that was already there.

Miscellaneous hcs:

While typically he usually only cooks for himself unless he has to, if he’s feeling really nice and he likes you he might make y’a some food as a present (as long as he can take some of it back with him)

I think because of all the people he’s talked to for jobs and stuff, he’s picked up a bunch of different phrases in different languages. While he’s not fluent in most he can say the basics and phrases to help and benefit him. I think he can speak french and spanish fairly well, he’s not fluent but he can hold a conversation

hes fairly good with kids, hell he’s great with kids as long as you pay him. But he grew up playing with and taking care of the neighbourhood kids, i think the kids also really like ruggie and get excited whenever he’s back from nrc. (He always makes sure to bring back trinkets he stole for them)

Him and Jamil cook together sometimes, it may not be the same dish but it’s nice to just be in the same room. Occasionally there’s some light conversation while they work on their own thing but it’s mostly a comfortable silence, maybe using each other as a taste tester before they pack up to go.

Sebek was sick, that was clear as day. The weather had gotten colder, making him more sluggish and weaker to any type of bacteria, it also didn't help that most of the students were also sick with the cold or the flu.

The half-fae was determined to prove that he could be the best knight, still overworked himself to the bone. Of course, there’s a point where a person, no matter if said person was a fae, beastman, or human, that any sickness forces you to stay in bed.

He hated feeling weak, he hated having to depend on someone to help him with basic tasks, perhaps he should've taken Silver’s advice to stay in bed once the cold had gotten to the point of being slightly unbearable.

Sebek groaned, hating how cold it was, yet nothing provided enough warmth for him, even the hot rag on his forehead did nothing for him. Sebek shut his eyes, hoping to get some sleep, then he heard the door opening.

“Hi Sebek!! I heard from Lilia that you were sick!! So I bought some medicine and some soup!!”

An awfully cheery voice rang out in Sebek’s room, it could only belong to Fauna.

“HUMAN?!?!” Sebek yelled out, before coughing and sneezing. “What are you doing here?!”

Sebek hated this, not only was he sick, but his crush saw him sick and weak. This was embarrassing. His hair wasn't gelled up, his face was sweaty, he felt a small amount of snot falling from his nose, his eyes were slightly watery, and he just overall was just a mess.

“Oh don't worry Sebek! I made sure to get the work you miss and I also took some notes!!” Fauna brightly smiled, showing her crooked teeth and the gap in her front two teeth.

Sebek loved it so much when she smiled like that, he loved every part of her, down to the two moles under each of her blue eyes that could only be described as darkish and muted with light blue pupils.

“Well you don't need to worry Human!!! Faes are MUCH more resistant to sickness than humans!!” Sebek smirked, only for it to be followed up with a violent coughing fit.

“Oh don't worry Sebek!! I’ll be fine!!” Fauna walked closer to Sebek, only stopping by the side of the bed to set down the tray. She grabbed the bottle of medicine, putting it onto a spoon.

“Human what are you doing?” Sebek looked over at Fauna, puzzled. “I can very well get myself some medicine!!”

“I know that, silly! But wouldn't it be nice to be taken care of? Plus you keep on coughing and sneezing. I think you might just fly out of your bed!!” Fauna laughed, clearly joking and lightly teasing the half-fae.

Sebek frowned a bit, but she was not wrong. He didn't want to be seen as weak, but the idea of his crush taking care of him wasn't so bad. It actually felt nice, and did inspire a few ideas based on some of the romantic books he read in his head, such as him taking care of her when the time came. Cooking for her, because holy shit, she couldn't cook even if it was to save a life, in fact she would probably be the one who causes the end of a life.

“Sebek?? Sebek, are you okay?” Fauna's voice finally got into his thick skull, the spoon full of the bitter and tar-like medicine near Sebek’s lips.

“Of course!!! It's just a cold!! But…thank you Human..” The half-fae felt his face heating up, but not from sickness, but from the fact that he was so deeply in love with Fauna that the smallest idea of her smiling at him sent his mind running.

Sebek opened his mouth, letting the spoon full of medicine come down his throat. It was awful, sticking to the walls of his throat, only leaving a bitter taste.

Sebek coughed a bit. “I suppose you brought water, Human?..” He saw Fauna nodding from the corner of his eye. She then handed the half-fae the glass of water.

Sebek quickly grabbed it, gulping it down, desperately trying to wash the bitterness from his throat. “...Thank you Hu-...Fauna..”

“You said my name…” Fauna was surprised, her eyes wide. “I like how you say it, you should say it more often.” Fauna smiled, handing Sebek the soup.

“Could…Could you perhaps feed me it? Just so I don't sneeze and spill it all over me.” Sebek quickly looked away, feeling embarrassed for even requesting it.

“Of course Sebek! I wouldn't mind! Plus I really don't have anything to do right now!” Fauna grabbed a different spoon on the tray, getting a good spoonful of soup.

Sebek opened up his mouth, letting Fauna feed him. Slowly but surely, the bowl was empty and Sebek felt full.

“Thank you Fa-WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?”

Sebek yelled out as Fauna climbed into the bed after putting the bowl back onto the tray.

“Well when I came in here Lilia said you needed more warmth!! So I remember how we cuddled during that time we visited Epel’s hometown!!”

Fauna got comfortable in the bed, wrapping her arms around Sebek.

“But you’ll get sick!!!” Sebek kept on yelling, slowly melting into putty in Fauna’s arm. He buried his head into her neck, grumbling something.

“Don't worry!! I don't get sick that easily!!” Fauna rubbed his back, making him breathe softly. The half-fae slowly fell asleep, Fauna soon followed afterwards.

Epilogue

Fauna was coughing, she was now sick. Of course it was to be expected when you snuggle up to someone who sounded like they were a Victorian sick child.

“I TOLD YOU FAUNA!!!!!” Sebek’s voice rang out in Ramshackle, Fauna swore she saw some of the floor panels shake and move a bit.

“It's fine Sebek, it was worth it because…”

Fauna froze, unable to say the simple words.

“Because you're my friend…”

She forced a smile, why was it so hard to just say ‘I love you’?

I haven't thought too deep about Maggie actually! Since she's a child oc of Ruggie and Daisy she's not really a focus so I didn't spend much time thinking about her, but I do have her appearance in mind and a few headcanons!

I imagine her having fluffy and poofy hair in pigtails, so very similar to what you suggested!! Though I think her hair would be more reminiscent of Ruggie while her eyes would be brown like Daisy's~ I like to think she has at least three moles/beauty marks on her face and she's a hyena beastman as well (I have absolutely no clue how a mix of a human and a beastman would look so I'm just making her a beastman--)

The whole thing with the chubby cheeks make so much sense AHHH daiggie would love to spoil her and give her tons of food since they'd have a more stable life, so she would be a bit more chubby than most of my OCs — this is also me trying to force myself to draw different body types

Maggie being a daddy's girl is SOOO REAL. I believe Ruggie is very family oriented because of how much he cares about his Grammy + the neighborhood kids so he'd dote on her a lot! Everytime Daisy would try to scold her for doing something bad — though Daisy is never a mean parent, she's very much into gentle parenting — Ruggie would come around and defend her-- only to then be scolded with his daughter 😞💔 (he tried)

I Rank TWST Characters Based on Whether or Not I Find Them Physically Attractive or Not (Not Clickbait)

Eventually I’ll collect the braincells to finish one of my many x reader fic drafts and post it. But for now, watch me shallowly judge TWST characters and rank them based on my own specific tastes. Yes, you are free to judge and share your own thoughts. I love being told I’m wrong.~ uwu

All characters are 18+

Explanations under the read more. Yes, there is a method to my madness.

‘Cause the tier list didn’t include them, Neige is in Tier 5 and Che’nya is in Tier 4.

And good lord I ended up rambling way more then intended. I should have just said I find them pretty or ugly and called it a day. Guess that single exhausted braincell really was working overtime for this.

Tier 1 - My Own Personal Tastes

Says it right there on the tin. The loves of my life jk jk

Honestly, I don’t even know where to start with these? I just find these boys really pretty and attractive... I tend to lean towards males with longer hair (Jamil & Idia) and animalistic traits like sharp teeth or ears (Jack, Idia, & Jade). I especially love Jade and Idia’s smiles, both are so creepy, but I’m the weirdo that’s into that. I also have a thing for body marks like freckles and moles (Azul) and actually find some short guys to be cute (Riddle). There’s also the elephant in the room that is my monster lover self that’s into a wide range of non-human creatures; Jack being a wolf beastman, Jade being an eel mermaid, Azul being a cecaelia, and even Jamil having serpent traits and Idia being not entirely human what with his Hades-inspired undead aesthetic.

Most of it just boils down to aesthetics  in their design and the fact that most of them, aside for Riddle, has some kind of in-human quality to them. There are other factors at play, but those are the main ones.

Tier 2 - They’re Attractive, But Lack Spice

Basically, I also find them to be very attractive, but they don’t quite hit those specific tastes when it comes to their overall design. Usually it’s because they either lack something or a certain trait throws off the whole design for me. Like Kalim sharing many traits I like in Jamil, but having other traits that hold him back (having shorter hair, having too much going on with his design, having a more childish demeanor, etc.). Epel is very pretty in a superficial way, and I’ve always loved characters with lavender hair, but he looks too young at times and is working on becoming more manly, which will ruin his more delicate features in my opinion.

Silver is like an older version of Epel, but with silver hair and a knightly aesthetic, but he also always looks to angry, which makes him unapproachable. Ruggie is pretty cute to me with a roughish edge (and I just want to pet his adorable ears, please), but I can’t get past how malnourished his design makes him look sometimes due to the oversized clothes. Sebek has a very unique design, being half-human, half-fae, but similar to Silver, he usually looks so angry and stern. He has a beautifully mirthful smile and I just wish they’d show off his chompers more!

Tier 3 - They Have Their Moments

They’re only attractive in very specific instances that usually heighten certain physical traits of theirs. This can include a wardrobe change, a certain facial expression, a scenario, etc. I don’t quite find them attractive on their own, but rather, only when it’s in tandem with something else. Malleus looked best in the trailer for the game when he’s floating out of his coffin. He looked dark, mysterious, yet dangerously alluring. But in game, he kind of resembles a rat, what with his weird mullet hair. Rook and Floyd both pull off the dangerous predatory, yet attractive vibe, but ultimately are only portrayed as quirkily scary in the game (i.e. they kind of look like creeps/psychos). Lilia has his whole Gothic punk thing going on, which is fine, especially when he acts more wild and playful. However, I kind of wish he had a “true form” where he actually looked older/was taller, instead of looking younger than the rest of the cast. Yeah, it’s funny in theory, but doesn’t give him much attractive points.

Tier 4 - Average Joe

On a surface level, they would be considered attractive to some, but ultimately don’t have anything that really separates them from others. For me, it’s that one or two traits ended up holding them back from breaking the mold, or they have traits that tend to be overused and thus, makes me feel like I’ve seen them before in other characters.

If Leona was darker skinned and his overall design really leaned into the feral lion look, he would be higher. If Divus had more canine-features like fangs or something, he’d be higher. Deuce looks like a generic anime protagonist, but a good color scheme going. Che’nya is just another Disney cheshire neko boy with a quirky design. Sam needs a rework on his color scheme and should have more skull face paint (yes, even more so than the original JPN ver.) And as for Vil, I really think they should have given him a different hairstyle. I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand his hair color and style. It reminds me of an onion.

Tier 5 - Not My Thing, but They’re Not Ugly

I don’t find them ugly, but I really do not care for how they look. Nothing about their designs are appealing to me in that way, but I can see why others would. Cater, Ace, and Trey don’t have anything with their design that stands out to me. The closest thing was Ace’s Ghost Wedding attire and slicked back hair, but it was only a one time thing, hence why he’s not in Tier 3. As for Prof. Trein, for an older gentleman, he still looks fairly good. He has a refined look to him and is well kempt, but I’m not into older dude’s like that, so no. Neige is cute and definitely captures Snow White’s vibe, but his outfit is just all over the place to me and contrast so much.

Tier 6 - ew

They’re just ugly. I’m sorry, but they’re just so unappealing to me why do some people find them attractive I just-?! Crowley is so weird looking to me, which is disappointing ‘cause I love bird-related designs and he had the potential but ended up looking like an unkempt, Gothic carnival reject, instead! Yes, I’ve seen the fanart with his mask off and I still find him unattractive. As for Vargas, I’ve just never been into the muscley type of men with the strong chiseled face.

Other

Grim and Lucius are literal cats and and I can’t see Ortho as anything but a little brother (yes, I’m aware he’s around the 1st years age). He probably would fit under Tier 2 if he wasn’t so baby.

So, do you know BNA: Brand New Animal? Pretty cool series made by Trigger with a nice story revolving around human beastm tanuki girl Michiru Kagemori and her looking for a cure for a disease that turned her into a beastman.

Beastmen, by the way, are basically anthropormothic animals that evolved alongside humans, they get a Lot of hate for being animals and humans thinking they're above them because of that. Although, in recent times, they were able to get a city built for most beastmen to love with no hate.

Said city is ruled by President Barbara Rose, a naked mole rat beastwoman who tries to help her citizens however possible, even looking into a way to cure Michiru's disease.

There's also Ginrou, the Silver Wolf, the beastmen god who comes to help whenever people need him, but no one's seen him in a long time.

This is basically all you need to know before watching the show, and even then, this is all said in the show itself. Hope i've convinced you or someone to watch it.

The reasons behind the Vicestamps (as per TVtropes)

Apart from Ichigou and Zero-One, the mixture between Legend Riders and some completely random animals may seem odd, but there are possible connotations as to why:

Decade/Megalodon: Megalodons are extinct sharks; Combine that with Decade's aesthetics, especially the vertical lines on the helmet and you get something resembling a knight's visor. Now which Rider debuted in Decade and had a shark knight motif? Abyss. On that note, Decade could also be considered a card shark.

Double/Eagle: Both eagles and Double are associated with wind; the former needs air currents to fly, whilst the latter has CycloneJoker as their base form. Additionally, the Xtreme Memory used for CycloneJokerXtreme is bird-based, which are the type of animals eagles are. Also, this brings in mind the double-headed eagle icon.

Kuuga/Lion: A lion is often associated with courage; one of the lyrics in Kuuga's opening includes "No FEAR, No pain". Additionally, both Kuuga and lions have something to do with leadership; A lion is the king of the jungle, a leader, while Kuuga is the first Heisei Rider, with the numerical term often associated with leadership. The lion ears in the duo's Genomes echo Kuuga's horns.

Faiz/Ptera: Both are very skilled in speed, Faiz's antennas bring to mind of a pterosaur's head, and Vice ending up as a hoverbike echoes the Auto Vajin, the Jetslinger and a pterosaur's flying ability.

Den-O/Mammoth: Den-O's train track mouthpiece have a similar aesthetic to a mammoth's trunk, as well as the wedges somewhat resembling tusks and the peach leaves mirroring mammoth ears. It could also serve as a nod to how elephants, the modern descendant of the mammoth, have good memory, tying in to one of the themes of Den-O (people's memories of the past)

Fourze/Kong: Fourze often engages in hand-to-hand combat in Base States and has the Hot-Blooded personality to boot, similar with a gorilla's strength, Fourze's helmet resembling a gorilla's head, Base States' white color scheme plus a gorilla would also bringing mind to a yeti/abominable snowman, and the concept of space chimps in general.

Gaim/Kamakiri: Just as mantises have bladed arms, Gaim is often a sword wielder as part of his samurai motif. It may also be a subtle reference to Zi-O's Gaim Armor◊, who had extra limbs on his back resembling the raptorial forelimbs of a mantis.

Ex-Aid/Jackal: Jackals are closely related to dogs, which are often used to help people with disabilities, while Emu is a doctor who helped with physical disabilities. The jackal ears in Revi's Genome also echo Ex-Aid's Anime Hair. As Mighty, the protagonist of Mighty Action X is partially based on Sonic the Hedgehog, the jackal motif may be a Shout-Out to Infinite, who can generate pixel-like blocks with the power of the Phantom Ruby, which visually resembles the pixellation effect that Bugsters generate.

Zi-O/Brachio: On top of the names sounding similar, Zi-O's first episode has Sougo running away from a Tyrannosaurus, which, like brachiosaurus, are dinosaurs. The Brachiosaurus is also meant as a gentle giant, generally peaceful until you make it mad. Sounds a lot like Sougo given that as Ohma Zi-O, he's the most powerful Kamen Rider and will kill you if you press any of his Berserk Buttons. Appearance-wise, the brows on the duo's Genomes resemble Zi-O's clock antennas, with the watch strap bears in mind to the neck of a brachiosaurus, and Vice's Genome mixing elements of both the dinosaur and a Time Mazine.

V3/Turtle: Turtle Bazooka was one of the first two adversaries of V3 and the one responsible for (initially) killing the Double Riders. To a lesser extent, V3's helmet somewhat resembles a turtle's head.

X/Scorpion: Not only was Scorpion Geronimo Jr. the last monster X-Rider fought in his show, X also had his Ridol Whip which looks like a scorpion stinger, and some prehistoric scorpions were aquatic.

Amazon/Mogura: One of Amazon's allies includes "Mogura"/Mole Beastman, the first kaijin to ever ally with a Kamen Rider. Amazon is also notable for the digging speed of his claws, being able to easily dig from ten thousand meters underground to the surface.

Saber/Kajiki: Marlins have sharp, bladed noses, similar with Saber's sword horn. Also, "marlin" sounds similar to "Merlin", and Saber has a form themed after King Arthur. The combination of a swordsman and a marine species also brings to mind Saber's fellow swordsman Kamen Rider Durendal, who is themed after marine life.

ZX/Kujaku: ZX's helmet partly brings to mind a peacock, with the head edges resembling the tail feathers and his mouthpiece looking like stacked "beaks". A peacock is a species of bird and a Bird Dopant was a member of the Underground Empire Badan, which is the successor of the Badan Empire, the enemy organization of ZX.

Build/Kangaroo: Build's helmet somewhat resembles a kangaroo, with the Hop Springer in Build's left leg bringing to mind a kangaroo's hopping and kicking abilities.

Black/Anomalocaris: While Gorgom had no Anomalocaris monsters, Grand Mutant Darom, one of Gorgom's generals, was a monster themed after a trilobite, which Anomalocaris regularly preyed on. Anomalocaris fossils were also initially mistaken as three different species before a more accurate reconstruction merged them together, similar to how Black's evolved form, Black RX, has three different forms.

Hibiki/Hashibirokō: Shoebills are known for using beak-clattering as a communication method, similar to how Hibiki's powers revolve around drumming and music.

Agito/Tricera: Agito's main motif is a dragon, tying into the Dinosaurs Are Dragons trope, and his horns spread open before performing a finishing move, giving him a connection to Triceratops, which are colloquially known as "three-horned dragons" in Chinese. In addition, Agito has three normal forms and three super forms, and one of his Super Mode transformations is called Trinity, giving him a strong correlation with the number 3.

OOO/Buffalo: Cape buffalo are found in Africa, the same continent where Eiji experienced his Dark and Troubled Past which caused him to lose all his desire and become eligible for becoming OOO. Eiji's determination to save anyone he can reach has parallels to a bull's violently protective nature, while his willingness to protect others even at the cost of his own life echoes how bulls are used as sacrificial animals in some religions. Visually, the O Scanner resembles a hoof, while OOO' circle motif brings to mind a bull's nose ring.

Wizard/Crocodile: A crocodile resembles a dragon, and it may be a reference to the Leviathan of Revelations, a fire-breathing aquatic monster thought to have been based on the Nile crocodile. Also, many crocodile species live in freshwater habitats, and Wizard has two water-based forms: Water Style and Water Dragon.

Kiva/Hedgehog: Hedgehogs defend themselves with sharp spines, while Kiva is based on a vampire, a mythological creature that drinks blood with its sharp fangs. It may also be a reference to the Hedgehog's Dilemma, a metaphor about the challenges of human intimacy, fitting how Wataru was originally a shut-in with No Social Skills.

Ryuki/Komodo Dragon: It's pretty obvious, Komodo Dragon, especially since Ryuki is the closest Rider to having a direct dragon motif. note

Blade/King Crab: Crabs are known for their sharp pincers and tough shells, while Blade is heavily armoured and has a sharp sword as his primary weapon. The fact that it's a King Crab also parallels Kamen Rider Blade's King Form.

Drive/Octopus: Both have some association with the brain. Octopuses are known for their intelligence, which requires brainpower. Meanwhile, some of Drive's catchphrases are "My brain cells are in top gear," and "I'm done thinking about it!" Both of these are nods to him being a good thinker. Fitting Drive's car motif, an octopus with its tentacles spread open resembles a hubcap when viewed from below, while octopuses' ability to spit black ink brings to mind bitumen.

Kabuto/Oomukade: Akin to the Showa Rider-based Vistamps, likely this could be a nod to the centipede-like Geophilid Worms from episodes 23 and 24.

Ghost/Kurosai: Aside from both being associated with the colour blacknote and possessing a horn on their heads, both are associated with coming back from near death: Several subspecies of black rhino were driven extinct in the wild while some of them were recently reintroduced back into the wild. Ghost on the other hand was killed by the monster faction for his season, but was brought back as a ghost and had to gather the powers of 15 historical figures in order to be fully resurrected.
