There are still places on public lands where amateur fossil hunters can easily discover the amazing remains of life’s past. Trilobites flourished during the Cambrian explosion, and because they had hard exoskeletons, their fossils are still easily found even 500 million years later. Science owes a great debt to these early arthropods as they provided evidence for the movement of continents, the radiation of species, geologic timelines, morphological studies, and many other fields. Pictured here is the head (cephalon) of a trilobite found in the Mojave Desert, which used to be covered by shallow seas. Community tree planting in the Mojave desert was fun! We planted 14 trees, 10 shrubs & herbs and 4 different types of grass. Majority of the plants and trees are native to the area. Thanks for coming out and making it happen!

This is a pocket forest inspired by the Mayiawaki method. It is meant to mimic the natural forest. We created an ecosystem that will be self sustainable within 3-5 years. Pocket forests are suitable for barren land and the urban city.

I'm taking some artistic merit here by creatively post processing this image but the composition is as-is straight out of the camera. This was post processed with the almost obsolete but beautiful @Mextures app. You can't get this 'look' anywhere else and I hope they don't stop maintaining the app? I have always loved #Mextures. . On another note, I'm wanting to post process a lot more these days because AI is going to be changing the game here soon. Might as well enjoy the organic process before the droids take over!? . I'm aware of my surroundings; I stop, listen and smell myenvironment and carefully hunt for important messages in the graffiti around me especially in the empty places where UFOs seems to occupy the minimalist space and hippies spray messages on old ranch water troughs. This is out in the #MojaveDesert where UFO Researchers like @jeremycorbell reside and operate.
