As excited as I get over everything pregnancy and birth related, I get 10x more excited about a miscarriage-scare than anything else.

Be an asshole and make your pregnant gf do all the house chores. Make her work a job that's physically taxing. Stress her out by getting angry about futile things. Wear her down.

And then have your stomache drop to the floor when she calls for you from the bathroom in a panicky high pitched voice, crying bc she's got cramps and blood in her undies.

Or let her work place call to inform you that she's been sent to the hospital by ambulance bc she passed out after having started bleeding profusely.

Or even better: be completely oblivious to her condition and only find out about the pregnancy as the hospital staff announces that she almost suffered a miscarriage.

Be scared af. Break out in a cold sweat. Regret everything you ever did wrong. Have a meltdown. Fight with hospital staff, telling them to save the baby or you'll burn down the city. Have a switch go on inside you, turning off the brain and leaving you with nothing but 100% instinct.

I want the drama. The panic. The fearful thrill. Yes, giving birth is exciting as fuck, but imagine almonst going through a miscarriage, putting your gf through hell twice. Once as she fears the loss of her unborn child. And then another time as she's going through torturous labour, being split open from the inside out, getting completely wrecked as she's trying to force a massive baby out of her narrow birth canal.

i remember a few weeks ago on the news i saw a story about a woman who had a miscarriage, and then her and her husband were told by the hospital to have the miscarriage and keep the fetus in their freezer at home because the hospital had no way to dispose of it.

i’ve seen on the news many cases of doctors at hospitals and in care homes that sexually abuse their female patients.

need i remind everyone again of the countless conservative mps who have committed sexual assault.

and now these are the people that have removed the sexual and reproductive rights, including abortion, from the british commitments?

these people aren’t “pro-life”. if they cared about life there would be no debate on privatising the nhs, there would be a solution to the cost of living already instead of the £2 billion that was put into the queen’s jubilee. contraception would be more available and they wouldn’t be trying to stop it from being accessible online. violence against women would be a bigger priority in this country.

these people aren’t pro-life, they are controlling, sexist, power-hungry pieces of shit. this power move will make the rich people even richer, and will detrimentally affect the poorer areas of the country, and will affect women and LGBTQ+ people the most.

pro-life isn’t a thing. you’re either pro-choice or anti-freedom, and that is the basics of it.

I feel a little embarrassed. I know the ceo of my local pregnancy center and she's a Christian, loves babies, loves life, so I told her about my sister and if she could pray for her and her baby and somehow the conversation got around to my grandma and I started crying and ugh, I am supposed to be stronger than this!! I am a warrior!! I mustn't show weakness!! But she was very kind and she held my hand and said she'd be praying and if my sister needed anything the center would help so, I'm glad I talked to her. Just wish I wouldn't have been so weepy about it

I had a really stressful day and it just got a whole lot worse. My best friend and partner is in the ER because she's having a miscarriage. She didn't even know she was pregnant.

I'm scared shitless, it's not even the first time, but they're giving her blood transfusions and god I wanna scream cause I feel like a selfish fuck for wishing I could be there even if I would only get in the way.

Does anyone else ever daydream about how a future version of you will hold an important meeting at work, only to then be suddenly interrupted by heavy cramps? You're clutching your still flat stomache, noticing a thin stream of blood slowly making it's way down your leg, completely soaking your pants.

Eventhough you had not planned on announcing your pregnancy yet, you have no choice now. Digging your fingers into the skin just above your pubic bone, you let everyone know that you need an ambulance or you'll lose your baby. Panic breaks out in the room as you fall down to your knees in pain. People will run over to get you back up your feet while others will call ambulances. Some will grab their car keys stating that an ambulance would take far too long.

Eventhough nobody knew of your pregnancy just 5 minutes ago, everyone is now hurrying to prevent the worst. Your pregnancy announcement will be the most dramatic one the company has ever seen.

Gosh how I wish for this!

I had an awful dream last night bc I read a story from npr or democracy now as I was falling asleep

#the npr story was that this woman was arrested for having a miscarriage #also my potential sister in law is in labor rn so I just kinda have babies on the mind #anyway. I went to the bathroom after my stomach had been hurting for a while and I had this huge blood clot come out of me #and I looked in the blood clot and there was a tiny fetus in it #I’m sure that’s not what a miscarriage actually looks like but I was so scared #and confused too bc I had just been on my period #it didn’t make sense that the fetus was so developed to look like an extremely small baby #but I just threw it away and I was worried that I’d be in trouble #bc that’s what happened to the real woman and she’s also the same age as me I think #so fuckd up.

i know it doesnt have to be "as bad" as it used to be for it to still be impacting me severely. i know others suffering doesnt make my pain any less real. and yet i am sitting here feeling severe guilt over smthn thats supposed to be "natural" bc it causes such excessive pain (even when i am medicated & take pain meds to help it) that i may have to completely rearrange my Saturday bc i am in no condition to do what i had planned and if the pain doesn't stop I'll have to cancel and ik its important to prioritize my health but also i wish i could just grit through the pain bc i feel so guilty cancelling 🙃

#personal #being intersex is fun (': #<< heavy sarcasm rn if u cant tell #and b4 anyone says 'oh everyones periods are lainful just do xyz' pls consider i have been experiencing this for 12 years now #and Do know medically that i am intersex and that my condition impacts the function of my body and puts me in a level of pain that is so big #that at its peak when on my period my body starts mimicking labor bc it thinks smthn is trying to leave #and if you have never experienced a labor pain level cramp pls look it up or get one of those electric box thingies that let u feel it #bc my cramps are a solid 8-9 on those every time this happens #the sad thing is i say its “not as bad as it used to be” too but the reality is it is Just as painful #i have just been living with this long enough and have just enough hormones in my body from getting an implant to make it less frequent #than 3 weeks in a month 🙃 but its not less painful at all! #(yes i used to have my period for 3 weeks at a time) #im also worried bc like. it seems like my period is coming more often than when i first started this version of hormone treatment #I've already blown through pills being effective and my junk is the wrong shape inside for an IUD to fit properly #(like i could but it would likely cause other pains and worse side effects) #so im already at my second to last resort (BC implant for continuous hormone release) and it works to a point but its getting less effective #the longer im using it and im so scared bc i think im already at a point where i have to get my stuff removed w/in the next 5 years #and i already knew i would and i want to really #but there's a large part of me that is still devastated by that and grieves this bc its a Requirement for me after a certain point to be in #less pain ): and like... idk i didnt want kids ever but also now as an adult ive experienced multiple miscarriages #(bc my condition makes my body hostile essentially) #and so its like..... extra grief. #idk im rambling in these tags
