Honestly, my favorite episode is probably Corruption. I love seeing so many facets of her (including her worst, like when she commanded the burning of the warehouse instead of, you know, sending a forensics team in or something). I love seeing her relationships with other people. She's just neat.

I'm never getting over how sick he looks

It's a very dull looking scene, almost grayscale. That choice shows you just how sickening this mission is to Obi-Wan.

Obi-Wan is hunched over, head between his knees. He looks physically sick. Everyone looks to him, he can say 'no,' but how could he possibly deny them? His life is the Jedi, and in the pursuit of peace he's asked to do something he cannot but a Jedi Master can, without question, Obi-Wan Kenobi can and he must.

The second shot, that's the face of resignation. He can't even speak, you can see he almost opens his mouth but all he can do is nod. This is where we see the line of duty and the individual. When challenged, Obi-Wan chooses the light, at the expense of himself, at the expense of those he loves.

He knows Anakin will never forgive because when challenged, Anakin doesn't choose the light, he chooses who he loves. And Obi-Wan cannot tell Anakin that choosing those you love isn't the correct choice.

This is the hero sacrificing you to save the world, this is Obi-Wan sacrificing himself, sacrificing Anakin for the greater good. But what's so good about letting your best friend think you've slipped away into death, mere feet from his grasp? Where's the good in watching someone you love die?

Obi-Wan remembers watching Qui-Gon's last breath leave his body, he never recovered. Where's the good in knowing all the pain your about to put your best friend through? The good in always seeing your ghost?

Why on earth are you BUYING PHYSICAL BOOKBOUND COPIES OF FANFICTION????

ACTUALLY WHY ARE YOU EVEN BOOKBINDING FANFICTION TO SELL?!?!?!

IF ANY OF YOU DO EITHER OF THESE THINGS, GET OUT!! I AM NEVER SPEAKING TO YOU AGAIN.

In all seriousness though, authors on AO3 have begun to pull their works off of the site to avoid getting sued by people stealing their works to make a pretty bound book for profit. Entire accounts could be shut down as well.

Listen, I’m all for saving favorite works by printing them out and putting them in a binder, or learning how to make a fancy book for a fanfic, but making books with actual fanfiction in it to sell is where I draw the line.

Literally the entire point of AO3 is that you can read it FOR FREE.

It is DISRESPECTFUL for people to make money off of hardbound copies because guess what, the original creators of these fics get nothing. We are literally only writing fanfiction for our own pleasure.

Buying and selling book-bound fanfiction is also ILLEGAL YOU DUMB SHITS. It’s an immediate violation of copyright law. The original fan work will get erased from the internet.

Fanfiction is already a legal grey zone since they are works being written about are protected by copyright. Copyright holders can in fact go after writers as well as the person who sold the fanfiction.

This also goes for people who steal fanart and, claim it as theirs, and put a price on it.

Don’t make it worse.

Bookbinding fanfiction for profit is literally ruining things for everyone. DON’T.

Man, I had to dig, because I have had such a hard time writing consistently lately.

But Satine was also a woman with….needs. Companionship and distraction and physical release. Orson was not the first person to provide her with those things, but he had, in the past few months, become her favorite. And Korkie liking the man felt important to her. Vital, even. Because a small sliver of the piece of her heart she had lost was wrapped up in that boy who was now a man, and he would always come first. His contentment and happiness mattered most to her, and she hated the idea that her distraction might cause him discomfort.

Trying to think of who I know that isn't suffering from writer's block with me....@impossibleprincess35 and whoever else is getting words out of their brains and on to a page.

it really does make me so, SO sad that satine weirdly has a fandom reputation of being straight-laced and a rule-follower, because so much of canon directly contradicts that idea

satine again and again is an agitator who furiously refuses having anything imposed onto her, she makes a fool of palpatine in front of the entire senate because she will NOT admit he's right, she rejects some of the most fundamental tenets of her people's faith because they're immoral to her, she CANONICALLY TORCHES A WAREHOUSE IN A FIT OF RAGE, satine is a force of nature and it is so wildly underappreciated
