I love in post-time skip when the Strawhats meet a new pirate foe or a new marine officer with the piss poor task of reining them in and they’re like, “oh so this is the fabled strawhats crew, eh? I am aware of your strength and resilience, and will treat you as the dangerous collection of super soldiers and assassins that you must be-“

Only to see that none of the strawhats have acknowledged their presence at all. Zoro and Sanji are still fighting. Chopper’s still napping in Robin’s lap as she reads. Usopp and Luffy are still finger-painting on the helm. Brook hasn’t stopped playing and Jimbei hasn’t stopped peacefully listening. Franky’s helping Nami design a new desk for map making without as much of a glance in the intruders direction.

The pirate/marine gets to see the ridiculousness of the crew in full view. They’re just a bunch of silly guys. They’re just a bunch of silly guys with power scaling so off the fucking chart that they have embarrassed the world government along with every Emperor of the Sea, most Warlords, and all of the Worst Generation.

Isn’t that thought terrifying? That they weren’t even taking any of that all too seriously? What if they had? What if Luffy wanted his enemies to bleed? To choke on their own blood? Would this group follow him? Slit their throats? Snap their spines? Burn them, beat them, tear them limb from limb?

The strawhat crew could run the ocean red if they wanted but instead they spend their afternoons finger-painting and designing new map making equipment and sunbathing.

Let’s all be thankful for Luffy’s endless mercy.

minty update. she's 9 weeks old (allegedly) and in her long teen era. she's still very small but not as small wow!! she is sooooo good at keeping herself entertained, i just watched her attack the door frame. she's also such a clingy cuddle bug with a good, strong purr. i feel bad for complaining when i can't sleep because she wants to lie on top of my face purring. she's very playful and outgoing, not afraid of the dogs at all and is trying very hard to befriend them both. only thing i'm worried about with her is her very prominent chest bone (is that normal???)

Being 30 yo with a psyche of a toddler is wild af. My view regarding my place in this world has only two settings.

1. Everything in this world revolves around my amazing being, I am God incarnate

2. I am a puny worm, and there's not a single corner on Earth that can shelter me from the cruelty of being inferior to Humans

Thankfully, in the last five years I have managed to develop my frontal lobes sufficiently enough where i can manage to hold a more nuanced world view on a day-to-day basis.

But in a period of great stress, people do tend to revert to factory settings. And i am, unfortunately, a human ;-;

So for the last two days i've been having full-blown meltdowns during work hours, but like, ~with style~, because my frontal lobes manage to turn on mid-hysteria, which feels like uncanny valley ngl

And what my frontal lobes tell me is, this is just a new phase of healing. Old fighting arenas on harder difficulty.

Leveling up is hella weird. But maybe my inner toddler will graduate kindergarten eventually.

||Hello! I am alive but the bg3 brainrot is real among many reasons.

TW: for mental health discussion and suicide mention under the cut||

||I will be honest and say I've been having a rough couple of months mental health wise and with a close friend of mine made an attempt on their life. I've been a bit checked out the entire time and while they're okay (and doing better it seems!!) It has been a lot to process and handle wrt my own mental wellbeing.||

||Essentially, I know I have been away for a while, and this blog IS still active, however I can't promise a return anytime soon. After extensive talks with my therapist, I am going to be restarting my medication as well as (hopefully) beginning ADHD treatment in the next couple of months. I appreciate you all being patient with me while I work through my mental health troubles and I genuinely care about all of you. I will hopefully be more active shortly, but again I can't make promises at this time because I'm uncertain what the side effects of restarting my medication OR starting a new medication may be.||
