Me: gosh i can't wait to work on artfight attacks today
This episode: *grabs me by the shirt*
I just really like the idea of minecraft deaths showing as scars that appear after you respawn, especially in more dramatic series like _Life. Soulmates probably share death scars, not counting Scar's random scratches he already has from goofing around ofc. I had too much fun rendering the fire >:3c
can we talk about this man who held onto his dream of creating an amusement park throughout his childhood? who studied the intricacies of it all so he could one day build one?
okay, now let's talk about the attention to detail. the shops filled with merchandise. the turnstiles hooked up to a little jingle. the placement of color and, subsequently, the awareness of where to leave it out. the backdrop of the castle.
but most importantly, let's talk about the gift that minecraft is to passionate creators. could Scar have created something in Scarland's likeness using another game or website? possibly. but would he have found as much joy in it all? would he have had that same enthusiasm throughout the project? would we have found him walking through the road he built rambling about how much he loves the build?
i'm in love with the connection between minecraft and its players. it's a game that lets dreams come to fruition, that welcomes creativity and rewards the children in us that wanted to just see what we could create.
or maybe it's not that deep. but can we talk about Scarland?
Derailing from everything to draw this because I can't stop thinking about "You're triggering my parental instinct. I want to take you into my hand and take you to a safe place" Doc
limited life! the last of my life series illustrations (for now!)
i tried making this one a little different - not quite as dark as the others, and with a different approach to the composition - cause i feel like that would fit limlife better. not sure how satisfied i am with the result haha but here we go
