introduction!!

umm.. hello! my name is honey, i am a bug/dragon type trainer (but i do have other types of pokemon) and my goal is to catch all bug and dragon type pokemon!!!! (ง'̀-'́)ง

i am nonbinary, a minor (not saying age for privacy reasons), and i go by they/them!

i travel alllll around the world.. i love to see all the beautiful pokemon!! as of right now i’m exploring paldea :D

my bestie is fay, he’s actually the one who convinced me to make this account hehe…. whenever i remember his @ i’ll link it here ^_^

tbh it’s easier for me to act more energetic while typing than irl.. so that’s why if you meet me irl i’m a bit nervous, but on here i’m way different :0

FLYGON ᡣ𐭩 •｡ꪆৎ ˚⋅

they are my first ever pokemon, they just wandered into kanto and i caught them after choosing my starter! my best friend!! they are really close to me and protect me like their life depends on it lolol

such a sweetheart.. very clingy too! and they are kind of tired all the time hehe!! they have a good sense of humour and feel like the one out of all my pokemon who really gets me

not to say the rest don’t,, flygon has just known me for way longer!! i even use my z-ring on them.. and besides they’re my main pokemon for a reason

MEOWSCARADA ᡣ𐭩 •｡ꪆৎ ˚⋅

he’s a sweetheart! so nice to everyone else and he LOVES attention, he begs for it all the time (he reminds me of my old ragdoll cat hehe)

he is the pokemon i tried to get the most (and got the easiest) when traveling over to paldea, cause i love cats! and grass types are like my 3rd fave type (bug and dragon 🔛🔝 though ofc ofc)

he’s really strong for a meowscarada idk why.. i did train him a lot though lol!! he loves to fight, very active kitty

ESPEON ᡣ𐭩 •｡ꪆৎ ˚⋅

she’s a bit more independent than my other pokemon, and only really is affectionate towards me.. but when she wants attention she’s really clingy!! she just sits on my lap while i do work or something

overall she isn’t that hard to manage compared to my other pokemon (especially my pidgey i caught back in kanto.. he’s so hard to deal with ಥ‿ಥ)

she’s also a shiny?? forgot to mention earlier but it’s pretty cool imo.. :0

RAICHU ᡣ𐭩 •｡ꪆৎ ˚⋅

now it’s time for her!! little buddy,, i love her so much, she’s so sweet!!

for some reason she always wants me to make her waffles, maybe she just has an addiction to them cause of how often i eat them hehe…. (and maybe i slip her a bit too many waffles a bit too often..)

she was actually the starter i picked in kanto, then she evolved into a raichu.. we traveled to alola….. you get the rest

she’s insanely clingy just like flygon.. probably cuz i’ve had her for so long? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

SCIZOR ᡣ𐭩 •｡ꪆৎ ˚⋅

MY SCIZOR!!! really tough gal, although.. truthfully? not on the inside, physically very tough though!! she’s a really strong pokemon

she doesn’t often show it, but she’s quite the softie! she only really shows that side to me though, remaining tough to the others.. because of this she seems to be an idol for my younger pokemon, so not too bad

MILOTIC ᡣ𐭩 •｡ꪆৎ ˚⋅

such a beautiful pokemon, i always loved him even during his pre-evolution. i don’t get the hate,, feebas isn’t ugly guys!! >:(

my house is right next to a huge lake, so i just keep him there and he seems happy with it

he always manages to calm me down,, something about sending energy? well whatever it is he’s a great listener! he always encourages me to vent to him hehe

PIDGEY ᡣ𐭩 •｡ꪆৎ ˚⋅

he is such a hyper bird!! i don’t get how so much energy is stored in such a little guy (ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖

raichu was the first pokemon i had ever, and pidgey was the second!

out of all my pokemon he’s the hardest to take care of.. he’s a handful for sure :p

he’s very small for a pidgey actually! he’s the size of my hand, and kind of just likes to sit on my shoulder, or fly with me on my morning walk!! he doesn’t eat much cuz of that

he usually sleeps in my collection of plushies,, it’s really cute! ˶ᵔᗜᵔ˶

she is so silly, very good cuddle buddy tbh.. she gives the best hugs

she’s so motherly and friendly towards everyone, especially my other pokemon

one day i was having my morning walk, and felt as if i was being watched.. only to see this little fella following me all the way home!

ever since then they’ve been apart of my team, and i have been happier cuz of it! :3

they’re more independent than the rest much like espeon, except a little less affectionate. i don’t mind though! everyone expresses their love differently, and i don’t need a cuddle session from either of them to know they love me

sometimes mimikyu makes me little gifts like gloves or just any clothes and i always think it’s so cute

YES OFC :D !!

their role on the airship is to keep track of where they're going and to make maps of the places the crew has been which specifc labels pertaining to the people on the ship rather than for worldwide understanding. they also double up as the bookkeeper ! i vaguely mentioned it in the other post about them but like. half of their wallspace is just bookshelves. and they also have one of those sliding ladders :) oh and they do have like a library system. you do have to check out books and return them once you're done. the books are for the whole ship after all. they're really strict on that policy and they emphasize it a lot when they meet new people who join the crew on the ship for an extended period of time which makes them seem kinda :/. doesnt help that they look tired due to limitde amounts of sleep (damn you perfectionist with making maps)

on the brightside they get a lot more approachable when they smile, which. doesnt happen much because like. visually they arent great at expressing stuff but it DOES happen, especially when theyre like mapping out constellations or talking about space and stuff. i realize i only drew them frowning or being neutral in the previous post WHOOPS,, i swear theyre not upset all the time. again just not great at facial expressions.

they're kinda indifferent to liko and roy once they join the team honestly. they don't MIND having them around but they'd prefer to be alone at first imo, at least until they manage to either 1. warm up (takes a while) or 2. infodump (which they can do fairly easily if given a proper oppurtunity to). they end up befriending the two by the second option after roy asks about the stars at one point or something lmao

speaking of that they kinda?? don't get social cues that well?? i mean kinda. it's mostly in like situations where there will be a massive fight with like people with malicious intent or something. they understand that those people want to attack them and stuff but they just. they don't get it. because of that they'll end up giving out lots of information (usually about really unimportant things) but it gets... its like. candence what are you doing. they're not our friends. and they know that but like ... wdym. they said something slightly incorrect about our current location i have to fix their mistake. they do not take things as threats until its too late and that will ultimately probably be their downfall

their pokemon. their ace is a milotic (the pokemon they fight alongside, the one whos usually out and hanging around, etc.) which they recieved as a feebas when they were young. only evolved recently. their other two pokemon, lunatone and solrock, are pokemon they've gotten to help around in their little space on the ship if that makes sense (like, organizing books and maps and whatnot) and they usually never leave their room :)

they're also like. 19. so theyre younger than the adults but older than the kids and theyre in the weird grey area which blehh. working through the issues that come with being fresh into adulthood or something. except i have no damn clue about that so just trust or something idk whoops

D - A pairing you wish you liked but just can’t.

Probably a bit of an odd one but Kudamaki Tsukasa/Kochiya Sanae, not because I dislike the dynamic, I just dislike the English ship name (Oil Fire).

Y - What are your secondhand fandoms (i.e., fandoms you aren’t in personally but are tangentially familiar with because your friends/people on your dash are in them)?

Off the top of my head I know a few things here and there from the Fate Series, Limbus Company, and Arknights. I mostly recognize the characters and the art style. If pressed I probably wouldn't be able to summarize the gist of their character or what they do in the story though....

L - Say something genuinely nice about a character who isn’t one of your faves. (Characters you’re neutral about are fair game, as are characters you merely dislike. Characters that you absolutely loathe with the fire of ten thousand suns are exempt, as there is no point in giving yourself an aneurysm over a character that you hate.)

Always felt like Wallace from Pokemon is an interesting character. He really was meant to be the embodiment of hard work (conveyed through his ace, Milotic). While I kind of wish his team was a little bit more contest-focused, it was an overall solid mono-water team. The fact in Emerald he has a Whiscash to convey he was a former student of Juan is a very nice touch. I've seen a little bit of his interactions with the player in ORAS and I think it's quite lovely. It's a lot of fun watching him tease the player.

My favorite line he said is actually from Emerald when you call him on Match Call: "Hello, <player>. Have you met Steven?"

The player calls him and it's implied the first thing they ask is where to find Steven because he wants to battle him. Wallace's first response: Wait, you know him?!

Most people won't see this dialogue since nowadays it's common knowledge where to find him after you beat the Elite Four, but before it was common knowledge the rest of the call was meant to serve a hint for the player.

Alright obvious first start! A Combee! Bees gotta stick together! He caught it in the cargo hold. It was probably attracted to the smell of the stored nectar from Lush and got stuck when the ship lifted off :( They are friends now tho and the Combee is super shy

A Spritzee!! Small and cute!! Probably enjoys taking naps in the very fluffy ruff around his neck!!

An Alcremie called Sweetface :D!!!! Very sassy and gets away with everything cause it’s so cute

And last but not least, a Milotic! He builds a lot of shipyards right? Or builds a lot near the coast, anywho I think he’d like a Milotic regardless :D

Pokémon Teams: Dr. Strange

Stephen's team was surprisingly hard, and a few of his Pokémon even more surprising. I absolutely adore this team personally because it's a combination of everything that makes Stephen, well...Stephen of course. I do plan on doing the other variants, but where else better to start than our Stephen? Without further ado:

The Strange Team!

1. Decidueye

I personally like to think Rowlet was Stephen's starter Pokémon. It was his first caught and has been with him through everything. He's the most loyal of the team, and was already fully evolved before the events of the first movie. In a way, he was foreshadowing as to what he was meant to become. I know some people will think that hawk eye would be better trainer for Decidueye and maybe those folks are right, but I personally just really love the idea of Stephen with an owl like Pokémon. And no offense to fans of noctowl and hoothoot (I love them both) but they just look kinda goofy.

2. Arcanine

In the case of arcanine, I like to think he was actually a gift from Christine, who knew a breeder, as a sort of anniversary gift. He didn't plan to evolve the little growlithe, until, in addition to the watch, she also got him a fire stone to evolve it whenever he wanted. I don't think Stephen evolved his growlithe until after the events of the first movie, so he has a growlithe in the first one. Arcanine, like Decidueye, is loyal to the core and loves Stephen deeply. Besides, how cool would it be to see him ride around on this giant tiger-dog?!

3. Klefki

Caught and originally kept as a joke, I could definitely see Stephen buffing the hell out of this thing and making it stronger than it appears. Tony made fun of Klefki one time and one of his cars got keyed. Needless to say klefki is a little psychopath who hates just about everyone equally. It's mischievous but not lethal. Plus I also like to think Klefki has impeccable memory and reminds Stephen to do things as he's prone to forget. Klefki really likes America Chavez and she's probably the only human it doesn't prank.

4. Milotic

The first Pokémon Stephen caught after coming to Kamar Taj was feebas, and she served as a lesson of friendship, cooperation, and responsibility. Milotic is kind, caring and patient, the sort of mom friend of the Strange Team, despite not having been in it for very long. Probably not the best dragon for him, but Stephen adores her anyway.

5. Alakazam

At first, I was a little unsure about this Pokémon, but I feel it fits in here. It's extremely intelligent, and I think Stephen honestly appreciates and respects that. He doesn't get its obsession with spoons, but just goes with it. He doesn't use mega evolution, as he sees it as cruel because a Pokémon's entire existence becomes pain when mega evolution is used. Alakazam also may be the only Pokémon intelligent enough to also learn the mystic arts to a smaller extent, so in a way it's an equal.

6. Wooloo

I literally have no excuse for this, I just really think Stephen would absolutely love this Pokémon because it's soft and adorable, and he can appreciate that. Stephen tried to put it in the PC once...ONCE...and wooloo gave him the sad eyes and he gave in, allowing it to stay. It's more of a pet than a fighter, as it doesn't like conflict. That all being said though, it's not afraid to step up if it needs to. It will roll over anyone. Like a dog, when it hears Stephen return to the Sanctum, it rolls up to greet him, almost knocking him over. Also wooloo may or may not have tried to fly with the Cloak of Levitation at least once....

And so there we go, our Strange Team! I'm so pumped for the next one, as I believe I'll be doing defender Strange next. Will he have a wooloo too? Who knows! Maybe wooloo is a multiversal constant XD thanks for reading! :D

OK, and here’s the full ideas dump for the TSME4 get ‘Ingo’ed’ and sent to Hisui AU:

Where they wake up: Manon wakes up in the wild and gets picked up by the Ginkgo guild after almost getting mauled by Pokémon. Alan basically infiltrates Jubilife Village and the Galaxy Team, at a time when it is more open to outsiders. Meanwhile, Daigo wakes up near the Diamond Settlement, Mikuri in Cobalt Coastlands

Everyone has partial memories that are pretty easy to jog, except Daigo, who’s thoroughly forgotten even his own name, and somehow won’t get his memory jogged by anything? he seems pretty chill about it. the clan names him Steven

Mikuri forgot about Daigo, he remembers an important friend whose face is blurred

Mikuri could have taken on more roles and shown his skills with Pokémon, but chooses to keep a low profile and observe. People notice him regardless

Similarly, Alan tries to hide that he’s from the future and people think he’s just someone from another region who happens to be very good with Pokémon. He sometimes slips and refers to Professor Sycamore ( “this is just a tip that the Professor gave me”). People think he’s referring to Prof. Laventon but when this goes back to him, Prof. Laventon is like ?? did I say that? In the long run, Prof. Laventon thinks he has strokes of genius in his sleep

Alan “invents” Pokémon names when he has a slip of tongue. Rei finds it very fun. (“Haha me too, I’d like to catch a Charizard one day!”) Alan is both heartbroken and fond.

Alan and Manon first hear about a so-called “Steven” in Beni’s shop. The rumours are from a Security Corp who heard of a person like Alan in the Diamond Clan, who’s super strong and good with Pokémon and wanders around giving stones

Leader Adaman confirms that “Steven” refused the responsibility of being a warden, and instead wished to travel and collect “herbs” for the clan - or so he says but his bag is filled with more stones than herbs each time (x)

Alan and Manon have missing Lizardon and Hari-san sessions while camping out at night

Only Mikuri got warped with his Pokémon. His Milotic watches over him while living in the sea, and becomes known as a minor myth, with rumours gradually spreading that Mikuri is a siren who talks to weird sea creatures at night

Manon “scams” travellers and when Alan tells her she makes her goods overpriced (“they could have found this for free in the forest, they were heading towards it”) she replies that a girl needs to live and not everyone has a nice salary. Manon: “Also, how can you call me a scammer when you have Bagin at your workplace?” Alan: “…True.”

Both Manon and Alan suck at making Pokémon lures, for different reasons. Their lures stink and attract nothing good

Daigo gives Alan a Sky Tumblestone incrusted with Stardust because it’s exactly like your eyes

Daigo examines the Pokéballs made from Tumblestones. Alan wonders if it will jog his memory, but Daigo finds it “looks better as a stone”.

Daigo does feel like he is missing something, including a partner. Two partners, actually. One Pokémon and one human. He remembers someone with turquoise hair like aquamarine gemstones…

The trio runs into the Miss Fortune Sisters, and Daigo fends them off without even needing Alan’s help. He ends the fight with his “When it comes down to it, I’m still the strongest!” and Alan thinks, my God, even with memory loss his ego is massive

Daigo has befriended a Geodude which evolved all the way to a Golem, a Nosepass, and somehow, after beating it, an Alpha Steelix. Alan befriends a Bidoof at first, which he eventually releases to allow it to fulfil its dam-making dreams. He then catches a Growlithe

After much convincing and almost dying for the nth time, Manon finally accepts to let Daigo and Alan catch a Turtwig so she can at least defend herself if they’re not around for any reason ( “it won’t count as replacement for Hari-san though!” “no, no, it won’t.”) Anyway, she treats the little one very well

Daigo climbs Coronet Highlands cliffs without Sneasler’s help. When this becomes known to Alan and Manon, they both decide it is imperative to save Daigo from himself or he’s going to die young in Hisui

The trio parts ways again with Marisson still a duo. They are somewhat sad to separate (even Daigo admits that they feel familiar to him)

Alan and Manon are sent to investigate the Mikuri myth, and meet him as a duo. Upon realising he is the person with turquoise hair “like an aquamarine gemstone”, they make it their goal to have him meet Daigo

Upon meeting Mikuri, Daigo’s memory is, lo and behold, jogged

Somehow, they find a way to get back (I haven’t beaten the post-game yet, idek if its possible. I want to believe it is)

Not told, but Mikuri thinks this: the reason why only Daigo’s memory loss was so complete and so hard to undo must be because, subconsciously, his mind rejects the burdens linked to his real identity and his Hisuian lifestyle was ideal for him, without responsibilities and allowing him to just wander

2022 Cirque de la Lune

IT’S THAT TIME OF YEAR >D For those of you who do not know, I’m in an RP group on DA called Harvest Lunatone that features a Harvest Moon/Pokejinka focus. Every year we have an event where the species of our characters is swapped temporarily! And I have five characters now wheezes.

Annie: Sceptile > Blaziken.  “Beyond Expectations” BOY this brings up some baggage for her :”D But because of how far she’s come, she’s taken the change in stride. She has a new tendency to get indignant and pick fights. Her Fiancee is also a bird at the moment with no fear, so the two of them have been running a muck, totally unrestrained.

Raphael: ✨Spiritomb > ✨Trevenant. ”Tale as Old as Time” Oh Raphael really likes this switch! It came with so much hair - when he was younger (and alive) he used to have a ponytail, so he feels like a young bachelor again. He’s decided to lean into the Beauty and the Beast aesthetic the horns give him and has become quite the suave gentleman.

Tanner: Noivern > Golurk. “Get in the Robot Tanner” This is a weird cirque for Tanner - he’s having a good time with all his lady friends but he’s missing his best friend Zack after a little spat they had. He feels a tad sluggish, like a zombie, as a Golurk. He’s also disappointed that he didn’t get rocket boots. But his intelligence has gotten quite a boost.

Aquamarine: Magikarp > Milotic. “Jewel of the Sea” SO! Aqua just moved here??? And she didn’t read about THIS and after she got over her panic attack, she’s having a ton of fun! She’s taking so many selfies. When she dehydrates now, her scales become as hard as diamonds. Her love for sparklies remains unfettered.

Ipswitch: Clefable > Wobbuffet.  “The Perfect Hostess” This will also be Ipswitch’s first cirque, and she has taken the change with her usual grace~ She’s become a Maiko, an apprentice Geiko/Geisha. She is of course the perfect host and has really taken to singing, dancing, and making people laugh! But if you make her mad she will counter you with her fan.

BDSP came out a while ago! What do you think of it?

Heya! Still trying to do the legendary mon hunt postgame, but I have mixed thoughts about it being such a strict remake yet removing some things, but honestly, BDSP's been a fun revisit to Sinnoh as a game, personally!

Naturally, I treated this run as a revisit of Oliver's run but just in another timeline. :D

I'll put out my cons first:

- I was disappointed in the watering down of contests 'cause they were one of my favorite side activities. The rhythm game would have been nice if they didn't remove the dress up and move appeals completely :(

- I also didn't like that the Underground lost the traditional secret bases and traps, as I was so excited to play with my sister and friends. That said, honestly, the main reason I wanted BDSP was to be able to play Sinnoh with others (I missed out on the DS wifi), so the lack of features to connect and play with others even as simple as poffin-making made me disappointed.

- I am so polarized with the topic of difficulty and balance in this game. This mainly impacted my personal way to go about my journey with my team in Pokemon games, so two things:

1) I did not appreciate affection mechanics being merged with friendship, keeping it separate like in SWSH camp at the least would make me feel less bad that I have high friendship with them but not triggering the OP affection mechanics lol. I didn't like using herbs to lower friendship just to lessen affection so I just lived with it. I don't like battling online so I'd have preferred to experience the competitively-adjusted trainers in the main game with fair battles.

2) The EXP Share topic is a hot one, but it was weirdly balanced yet not in this game? Gen 4 games were not built around it at all, and it was so apparent with the Gym levels after Gardenia that I had to make a backup team to soak up the extra levels. I'm personally in the "make it optional" camp because I liked keeping my team up to speed and turning it off once I feel they're strong enough, but it saved some time pre-Cynthia for me not to be TOO underleveled lol.

And for the pros!

- Playing through it reminded me that there's something I really liked about the older game designs that incentivized backtracking and getting lost out of the way, and I wish future gens moving forward will get that charm of adventuring back. (SWSH dlc felt like that in a good way!)

- The new stuff they can get away with were nice!! I loved having such a tough time with the E4 and Gym rematches.

- I LOVE how they were serious making the trainers competitive and tough. I went in a deliberately underleveled run with the E4 and I like... spent the whole afternoon genuinely struggling with the levels AND their strategies. And Cynthia's Milotic???? MY NIGHTMARE

- I've rambled about it a bit in my twitter once in a while, but the DPPt soundtrack is my favorite from all of the others, and I am so happy to hear how it was approached!

My personal favorites---those I prefer much more now than the ogs, were Trainer battle (I already was obsessed with it before), Eterna, Route 209, Canalave, and the Ending theme.

- And did I mention how much I love the DPPt credits theme?? And BDSP ambushed me in the best way possible once I finished it, wow, I did not expect them to actually base the whole thing mainly from Platinum and add DP elements?!?! It's probably one of my favorite credits sequences as a whole now because of everything they did there, I was so emotional by the end!!!

- My personal favorite part? My sister and I were especially adoring all the new outfits for the O-sibs---they may be few, but I can feel that someone in the new dev team really likes fashion design, and I thought they did such a good job matching the outfits to them as existing characters!!

I wanna doodle all of them sometime, but for now I'll end this post with some of the ones I did while playing:

All in all, I enjoyed my time while it lasted despite my gripes! I do hope they update the game more 'cause I love Sinnoh, but atm I'm slowly focusing more on Legends. I'm really excited for it and hoping we learn more of it soon!!!

Hetalia Platonic Ships Week Day 3: Into the World of Pokemon

After moving in with their 1ps, the 2ps have had no shortage of weird moments they've experienced. One such crazy and weird adventure would be the time the Japans got them all sucked into their newest pokemon game thanks to a new virtual reality invention. Let's see how this goes!

Dropped into various areas around the pokemon universe everyone freaks out and Luciano's particularly enrages screams can be heard everywhere. Starting in the beginner's area, everyone is separated and given their own starter Pokemon. Alfred immediately starts fanboying and runs up to every Pokemon he sees with his starter Rufflet following right behind while Allen gets his bat out as he has no idea what's happening as he's never gotten into video games and mostly tries keeping him out of trouble while eyeing everything with suspicion. Once he catches up and Alfred somewhat comes down from his fanboy high, Alfred immediately gives a fast explanation and tells Allen everything about Pokemon. Allen gets the gist of it and is really interested in Pokemon as they start exploring with his own Houndour walking beside him and his bat swung on his shoulder. France starts freaking out about his hair when a Caterpie string shots it while his Roselia fusses over it. Roselia seems to share the same personality as France. Luiz can't help but scoff and puts his cigarette out, being in a forest and all, and starts to pick a path with his Espurr and leave the two freaking out peas in a pod behind to catch up once they notice he's gone.

Arthur and Oliver get dropped somewhere nearby. Arthur is immediately taken by his Galarian Ponyta introducing her to Flying Mint Bunny. Interestingly, the pokemon can actually see Arthur's magical friends. Oliver immediately starts gushing about his Slwirlix and how helpful he is with baking. They are the only ones who can completely understand and talk to their pokemon thanks to FMB translating. They end up running into the France's and Arthur and Francis immediately start going at it. Thanks to Japan giving their starters similar personalities, Roselia and Ponyta also start bickering. Meanwhile, Oliver is gushing over how adorable Luiz's Espurr is and showing him Swirlix. Luiz, who quickly grows a soft spot for Espurr, humors Oliver.

Mathew and James end up near a stream where a Bidoof and Bibarel dam is. Thanks to countries having a natural connection to their national animal, this also extends to pokemon and they quickly befriend them, becoming the Beaver kings. Mathew has a Cubchoo while James has a gruff Teddiursa. James is immediately reminded of Kuma and how Kumajiro was as a cub and becomes extremely protective. The Bidoof and Bibarel help them find their friends. Gilbert and Klaus start out in a cave somewhere and thanks to millions of Zubat, get immediately get ejected. They come out to see a hilltop view a la BOTW. GIlbert has a Sneasel with the same mischievous streek GIlbert has while Klaus, being the trained knight he is, has a Honedge. Gilbert tries leading them but he and Sneasal immediately fall into a nearby stream because he wasn't looking. Elsewhere, Ludwig gets that strange feeling Gilbert is somewhere doing something stupid while he's petting his Riolu, and Lutz's Poochyena is napping on his stomach. The aforementioned Lutz is taking a nap on the ground. Feliciano has an Eevee and Luciano has a Zorua. Feli immediately tries to say high to every Pokemon in the vicinity and almost gets stunned by grass types, blown away by flying types, etc. Luciano wonders how he'd ever survived out here on his own without him. Flavio starts out with a Popplio and takes it in stride! He helps the, at first timid, Popplio regain his confidence by reminding him it's not the outside that matters and that he has an inner beauty that shines through. Lovino ends up with a grumpy little tsundere Pikachu and tries to find their way to the others while Flavio and Popplio are preoccupied with an impromptu photo shoot. It doesn't take long for them to reunite with Feliciano and Luciano and Feli immediately gets excited to show them his and Luciano's pokemon and meet theirs. Eevee's hyper personality exhausts Pikachu.

Ivan ends up with a Sunflora and immediately names him Sunflower. Viktor thinks it's a stupid name but d doesn't say anything because he knows Ivan loves them so much. Viktor ends up with a serious Bagon who he helps train to evolve. Yao practices martial arts with his Meinfoo while also keeping Xiao and his Aipom out of trouble. Finally, the Kiku has a Treecko for himself and Kuro has a Pawniard.

Eventually, they all manage to meet up with everyone talking excitedly or angrily about the pans sucking them into the game. Luciano especially exclaims they'll pay while Feliciano and Alfred are thanking Japan for doing something so cool. All of the countries start bonding with their partners and the Japans pass out Pokeballs and Ppkedexes for the fun has just begun. Kiku and Kuro regret nothing!

Meanwhile, in the real world: The other countries eventually notice there all missing and they come to the meeting to find them in the game. Because this is a golden entertainment moment, they immediately start passing out popcorn and watching them. Hungary almost chokes laughing when Prussia falls in the stream. Belarus has been locked in the closet after trying to destroy the game or in her words the 'device trapping her big brother.' Denmark gets jealous that he can't join the rest of the Awesome Trio. Spain feels kind of bad getting left out but likes that Lovino's Tauros. The states and provinces also sneak in and try to reverse engineer the device used to get into the game. They want a pokemon adventure too after all!

Truly, I have never been more understood than in this moment 😂😂 I love Pokémon, so it was fun to do this! I just hope I don’t disappoint~

That being said bc I have absolutely no reading comprehension despite appearances, I originally just made a kind of compilation of the Pokémon I thought they would have (if it’s a legendary Pokémon, maybe they’re just Good Bros^TM at least). OOOOH omg this is a tough one... i want to say team plasma solely because N being the antivillain leader while the real villain was ghetsis was such an amazing twist. i also liked aether foundation quite a bit though!

BLACK AND WHITE *froths at mouth* but no seriously i have so many fond memories of that game it was a big step mechanic wise (moving sprites were the most amazing thing in the world to me back then, also triple and rotation battles being introduced) and the plot and characters were all top notch... the whole thing with team plasma, having two rivals who are also your childhood friends that you really care about, the gym leaders actually playing a huge role in the plot....... everything about that game was lovely gen 5 best gen and best story for sure

Meet the Team: Battling (Dr Jules)

When I first came to the region, it was with my team of 4 who were more companion pokemon than a battling team. After our first real poaching raid and being forced to stay back from the fighting while Mal and our security team went out to deal with it, I decided it was time to get a proper team. Two of my companion pokemon are on the team with others brought in and gifted to me. Let’s introduce the gang!

Wee! : Beedrill Back home we had about three successive generations of Beedrill hives taking over our back porch and I’d spend so much time watching them just do their thing through the day. One spring when I was seven I think? One of the freshly hatched Weevil came up to me and climbed into my hand and the Beedrill watching didn’t even buzz :D I started calling her little Wee and just kinda played with her. 

She wasn’t my pokemon until she evolved into a Beedrill though and demanded she go to college with me. She had no problem leaving the hive, or Unova, and she loves the Sanctuary now. She actually started a hive of her own and rouses them into a swarm when poachers try something. A whole hive of Beedrill’s a pretty good crime deterrent.

Guinevere : Galarian Rapidash Gwenny was a gift from a colleague in Galar when I told him I was looking to start a battling team of my own. He traded her to me because she was very well behaved and interested in seeing other regions. While she’s a Galarian typed rapidash, there are Katonian rapidash genes in her family line and she has the same hot blooded determination as them. Gwenny acts as my mount when I go patrolling up the mountain and riding her is like riding the wind. During attacks she’ll herd pokemon to safer areas and protect them from attacks we might miss. A lot of the fairy types treat her like a guardian. 

Assault : Hatterene

I got Assault as a Hattrem from the same friend that traded me Gwenny, but way before I ever came to the Sanctuary. Assault was the first Galarian pokemon I ever met and he nearly knocked me out the first time we met because he was so overwhelmed by the new environment. Contrary to his species though, Assault was very very sorry but I couldn’t not name him after our introduction. 

For a long time we thought he’d stay as a Hattrem since he had no interest in evolving and I wasn’t really into battling. When we got to the Sanctuary though, the energy of the region and the energy specific to the mountain kinda prompted a surprise evolution. It was a shock but Alt was fine with the change and is now my top battler. Him and Mal’s Teddiursa get along very well actually, they’ve both got terrible tempers and a fierce love of the Sanctuary. Sometimes Alt will fling Teddy at people’s faces as an attack.

Arson : Scoruga This fierce guy was a gift from Dr Mal when I told them I wanted to have a team so I could fight alongside the security personel during attacks. They went out and caught me a Scoruga so I’d have something native to the region to train with and get used to. Partly because a native pokemon already knew the region and because they thought it’d help me learn more about Yerette. And I won’t lie, it was hard at first. I deal with fairy types and fairy type moves, it’s my area of specialty and a Scoruga is very far outside of that, but I stuck to it. It helped that Arson was willing to work with me, he would test me but never to the point of frustration. And he never once burned me even though he  loves burning people. Poachers who get too close know all about that.

Mire : Milotic 

A gift from a friend back home in Unova, Mire actually used to be solely for beauty contests. Uh, in the way that she never battled outside of them, she was a show pokemon and loved doing it, she’s even won some prestigious Unovan beauty contests. Her human partner, my friend, is currently a judge though and doesn’t compete as a coordinator anymore, meaning Mire was mostly retired. When I talked to her about the Sanctuary though, Mire was interested in seeing it and maybe trying out battling, so she got traded over. 

She actually took to traditional battling really well and she gets along with Mal’s Dralibis like a house on fire. Those two do two daily patrols together, then Mire does night patrols in the river that runs around and through the Sanctuary. She’s very well behaved and has impeccable control, enough that I trust her to engage opponents on her own, but she’s much more comfortable when I’m there with her.

Midnight: Maraubeau

And, well I’m not sure if the pokemon counts as mine but she is the same way Laggie is Mal’s I guess? Not officially.

Mal thinks Midnight’s been on Mt Clydesdale since before it was even plantation land and is probably one of the reasons the pokemon here have been fairly safe before the Sanctuary was created. Poaching and hunting was always a big problem for the area because of how isolated from the main cities it is. When fairy types started moving in, the illegal poaching situation only got worse. Midnight was probably overwhelmed when all those people started coming in but I think he can manage now, with our help. 

He isn’t my pokemon by any means but he falls in with my team when we fight and he’ll only let me treat him if he gets hurt. He absolutely refuses to be called to a pokeball though and we respect that. We’re grateful he’s never tried to run us off or hurt anyone, Mal says he’s accepted us as guardians of the area, and I take that as ringing endorsement of the work we’re doing here.

Pokedex- I generally run type-master teams, but my “perfect” team is prooooobably: Metagross, Gardevoir, Banette, Milotic, Cacturne, and Aromatisse! Friend Ball- My favorite from gen 5 is probably Chandelure! Master Ball- My favorite legendary is probably a tossup between Magearna and Cresselia!  Moonblast- Oh, that’s tough; I think my favorite fairy type is either Alcremie or Aromatisse! Shadow Ball-  If you’d asked me last gen, I’d have said Mismagius or Drifblim- but truth be told, I think it’s probably Banette!
