Wip Wednesday babeeyy

eyy I've finally remembered that wip wednesday exists!! here's some proof that i'm working on something, and that something is the follower milestone gift i said i was going to do and i promise i'm doing it! i'm doing it it's happening i promise! so here's a little taster!!!! and here's Part One if you want a refresher!

And then the kid just vanishes.

In the blink of an eye, in the time it takes for him to look down, screw his face up because this is all confusing as fuck, and look back up, he’s just gone. There’s nowhere to hide, there’s nowhere to go, Jason can see everywhere around him—but he can’t see Danny.

“Well… shit."

“What, what happened?” Dickybird hisses in his ear, the unsaid, exasperated “now” very clear in his voice. 

As much as he loathes to admit it, Jason is feeling very much the same way right now. What was meant to be a simple case of “investigate the potential child abuse and put an end to it” has instead become something… less simple. When is it ever simple in his life?

Still. If working with supers, metas, vigilantes, whatever, has taught Jason anything, it’s that just because you can’t see someone doesn’t mean they’re not there.

“Hey, kid… Danny. Listen, I’m not here to hurt you and if you’re still here, if you can still hear me, then, I don’t know, do you want to get a bite to eat or something? I just want to talk. I just want to figure out what’s happening.”

Jason doesn’t hold his breath. 

Okay, no, that’s a lie. Jason holds his breath, but he swears he’s holding it so he can more accurately hear if Danny is still around. That’s all it is, he’s not attached to this kid already. He’s not.

When no answer comes—not even a whisper of a breath or the scuff of a sneaker on the pavement—he suppresses a frustrated growl and opts instead to breathe deeply and pinch the bridge of his nose.

“So…” Tim begins, drawing out the word.

The urge to growl—hell, the urge to pull out his comms and smash them on the floor—grows.

“The kid’s a meta, then. Potential powers including but not limited to: invisibility or teleportation. You think he’s still there?” There’s no reason for the kid to still be around, not at all. If it was Jason, he’d have scattered as soon as he realised the stranger impersonating his dad wasn’t the guy he thought was impersonating his dad, and honestly, wasn’t that extra fucked up? That someone impersonates people in this town often enough that it’s not a surprise? The way Danny spoke about him… What was his name?

Amorpho. Amorphous. Without shape. 

A shapeshifter?

Whatever. It’s a mystery for another time, because there’s still a more pressing mystery in front of him.

Or,. rather, not in front of him.

Yes, there’s no reason for Danny to still be here, but…

Jason sighs. 

“I’m going to Bat—Nasty Burger. Really? Is that the best burger joint here? Nasty Burger? Whatever, I’m going to get some fucking fries.”

Jason feels fucking stupid talking the air like this. He must look fucking stupid, too, but the thing is… There’s a prickling on the back of his neck, a rolling taste of green on his tongue when he glances through his peripheral, the vague weight of an unseen eyes on him. 

Call it wishful thinking, call it a hunch, call it something else, but Danny’s still here.

“There’ll be a burger waiting for you, too, if you want it. My treat.” Jason turns in a full circle, examining everything in his surroundings. Nothing seems out of place, nothing screams wrong to him. “I just want to talk.”

He waits for a full minute with no success, which makes Jason feel even more stupid, before clicking his tongue and making his way to the, hopefully ironically named, Nasty Burger.

I'm SO here for your Balkan Dick Grayson takes! I was wondering how you feel about how DC writes or fleshes out Dick's Roma heritage. Are there particularly great moments of representation or particularly flop ones?

i honestly hate most of the writing. not only because they arent romani, i mean you can get some basic info about rom culture if you talk to romano people and i understand its a pretty closed culture (like fuck even though im part romani i still dont know most shit, although tbf rom people in turkey is p assimilated) so getting info might be hard, but FUCK dude they look at rom culture in an american pov and its like?????? why.

most rom people resides in balkans, and like bro even if you took some balkani culture to dickies writing or even in is living space itd make sense, since again, rom culture is p assimilated w the country they resides in. like even small things would be enough. a heavy velvety blanket w a tiger or a rose?? him sniffing bottles before drinking??? thats like the universel balkanian experience.

I don’t think they will play Aziraphale and Crowley, NG isn’t stupid, neither anyone else who’s putting money into the show. They might shove them somewhere as background or some other role but not playing the two mains. Season 2 already got slapped for not the best plot and how Michael and David saved it with their chemistry. Nobody will try to replace them.

Also considering neither of them have a problem with dressing up as women, David already did for the Nanny part in the show, so to suddenly switch them for female partners would create a lot of backlash because of suggesting men shouldn’t do it.

Im not sure about AL but I wouldn’t be surprised if NG would pull GT into it unfortunately. DT shoves his whole family wherever he can.

I was completely indifferent to both of them but fans were responsible for me starting to dislike them to be fair. I’m still mostly indifferent, I couldn’t care less about them, just comment if they do anything good/bad because people ask me, but after that they’re gone from my thoughts. I don’t think they deserve *hate*, but indifference or dislike based on their actions - everyone is allowed to make that basic decision for themselves yes. Fans really don’t help with their demands to love partners of idols and that’s in every fandom out there.

If they were to bond they would have bonded a long time ago and I wish they never started this whole wife thing because it only highlighted how much they don’t care about each other. The thing is, they shouldn’t be required to “bond”. Just because Michael and David fell for each other, it doesn’t mean the women must bond too. There is age and character difference between them, and I don’t think bonding over failed careers and depending on men and getting knocked up on the one night stand would be healthy. Georgia has her best friends, Anna could do with making friends her own age preferably away from the business.

No matter whether someone likes them or not, to expect them to be treated on the same level as Michael and David is insane. And it drives me insane when people think they have the talent to play female version of Crowley and Aziraphale. MS and DT have years of experience in the business and to compare them is a pure insult to them. They got in that business through their hard work too, not a famous surname supporting them.

You are NEVER required to love your idols’ partner/family. That’s just shit that fandoms come up with. Nobody in real world goes oh that actor is neat… oh no I need to love his whole family now!

AL and GT acting “careers” are based on famous surnames supporting them. If they were good someone else would have picked them up. I’m not going to pretend they’re good to be a good little fan according to the fandom. I’d rather be disliked in the fandom than lie to myself and others.

If someone wants to suck up to them, love them, that’s absolutely fine, but to expect others to do so is just a no.

When you think about it, knowing that any shit you post will be seen as iconic… and you don’t have much to show for yourself… well yeah. You’d be raiding on people loving you for simply having the famous surname. Imagine the world where you have to do nothing and people think you deserve the best roles and all the love and being called a queen. Neat. What a sweet life of privilege.

I think with her liking to put him down especially on his big days shows her insecurity. It’s never about him, it’s always about her on those days. It’s sad. I’m glad he now has MS who makes it all about him on those big days. And after too.

I hate those selfies tbf. It’s like… this is your moment to say damn my awesome man got an award. But no it’s “mine” and her holding it and making him take the selfie, or her staring into a camera and making him snuggle up to her for show to show where his place is. Bleh. If she was comfortable with who she is, she wouldn’t need to remind him of his place every time it’s supposed to be his happy day.

And I’m aware majority thinks those selfies are cute - good for them, I wish I thought that too, but they give me the creeps instead.

Soooo. Where do people think each member of The Rising Volt Tacklers are from?

As in Friede, Molly, Orio, Murdock and Landau.

Based on their names and looks... Hmm. Friede I guess could fit Kalos or Unova, thou some might argue his Pokemon suggest Kantonese :D But the name just, doesn't fit Kanto. It's too foreign. It's a german name, right?

Molly could be from anywhere since she's clearly a relative of Joys, but her name doesn't really fit Kanto, Johto, Hoenn nor Sinnoh. Galarian? The name is quite fitting for Galar tbf, and I don't think her having Chansey as a partner is indicator of her origins, since it could be she just has different partner from rest of her cousins in Galar! Or siblings. However the Joy genes work lol.

Orio? Somehow I'd like to say Paldea. Like I just get the Paldean feel from her. Sure, Metagross cannot be found from Paldea(??), but maybe she partnered with it during the adventures she's been in with the RVT. Pawmi and Fuecoco seem very attached to her too, thou I don't think that's evidence enough sgshsjsj.

Murdock somehow screams Alolan in every other way but the name, haha. Thou Alola does have characters whose names aren't hawaiian based, so it would still fit! His attire, partner, and overall design just makes me feel home? As, well, Alola feels most home to me from Pokemon regions, haha (due to it being my first Pokemon region).

Landau? Alola based on being Drampa/Jijilong gijinka but tbf that could be a disguise so lol. The name would suggest similar origins to Friede...

We know Roy is from remote islands of Kanto and Liko is from Paldea so no speculation needed there, haha.

for the US dub i usually use wcofun, its got a good chunk of the episodes in uuusually bearable quality, however it doesnt have the whole show. if anyone else knows where you can get the whole US show in good quality pls feel free to reply!!

and for the sub, i direct you to @operationhoshinokaabii !! they subbed the whole anime and even the worst visual-quality eps are pretty decent! in their pinned are multiple links where you can watch the whole show in japanese :]]!!

im more familiar with the JP version of the show now, and i really reccomend it, its great! its got a lot of nuance and plot/character details that is completely skipped over in the american version of the show. its also got a totally different ost, which includes some game music occasionally. you might also recignoise some of the tracks from kirby air ride, if youve ever played it

however the US version is still a really fun watch of course, even outside of nostalgia !! and it removes a couple of strange things from the original jp show. hooray for early 2000s media lmao. tbf its not as bad as it COULD be despite the era its from, in terms of offensive content. but please be wary for some colourism in episode 85 and some imperial flags occasionally. despite these flaws i think its still absolutely worth a watch.

my toxic trait is looking at your art and thinking that i could do that too. everytime i try drawing Transformers it ends up lookin like a pile of metal that got ran over by two semi trucks blasted to cybertron and back then got the shit beaten out of it by Optimus Prime himself 😭

but fr though, how do you do it? like what kinds of shapes are they made of? how do all their weird alien metal parts move?

what may work for my style might not for you, as i've unfortunately learned through my years of yearning for/trying out another artist's skill, and that's okay. but i am very honored to be that kind of artist to you 💗 beating yourself up for not being like me won't help you, though 🥹 your art is great, regardless of if it looks like mine or not. i'm going on 7 years of doing this after all! (also i started with bayverse of all things 😵)

and honestly, a lot of it is just experimenting and finding what's right for you, what you need to improve/improvise on, and what you want out of your art. for me, i found that i have a very difficult time actually getting that sharp, blocky industrial style of robots down and eventually opted for a more organic, squishier look. but i do maintain their proportions as they're wildly different from a human's ghsdfsjs

you're already off to a great start doing exactly what i did to learn: redrawing screenshots from the shows. i learned most of what i know from tfp, with a lot of bayverse and g1 mixed in there. it took me about two years of that before i felt confident enough to start making original art consistently. it takes time (and tbf, i was still learning how to art in general when i started. so you really are off to a great start)

this is the kind of art i made in 2017:

massively different from my art now, right? through all these screenshots, i'd test out new ways to draw and color. at one point, every piece i made was trying something new. and it was okay if it didn't work out. means i know what not to do next time lol generally though, i'd NEVER do lineart. i mostly focused on building up my sketching and coloring skills, as seen here in my 2018 art:

and that kind of fucked me over for life so now i am left with painting over the sketch 😂 i digress though

in all honesty i've spent my entire art career figuring out how the fuck all their weird alien metal parts move 💀 a lot of it is BSing, some is recycling the same poses to make things easier on yourself and the rest is studying studying studying. cannot tell you the amount of times i've rewatched certain bayverse scenes frame by frame to figure out how all their parts move in tandem — i still don't know! 😅 g1 was a nightmare to figure out because of its blocky simplicity and limited range of motion. it's still a struggle to this day haha

it's really difficult how to explain how exactly i draw transformers, as it's just... something i do nowadays. there's not a ridiculous amount of thought put into it since i've built up my skill. but here's generally how i sketch their bodies and what shapes i use:

the first is slightly different as its a more detailed approach than g1 so just imagine the arms are a little rounder — "marshmallow," as my brother would call it — like the sketches in the second (even if those are a little more advanced in the process than the first)

my best advice to you is to learn their proportions and articulation via redrawing screenshots — various ones! i chose the most dynamic poses for my megatron practices in 2018 to nail it in my head lol but yes shows like tfp and earthspark are great for that (you could probably even do with looking at the storyboard animations for earthspark to help!)

and remember, i'm still learning too! i'm not gonna pretend like i know what i'm doing. but i'm glad i inspire you :)

Pokemon Violet Thoughts

I did not expect to like this game as much as I did omg. I saw a lot of criticism, and while valid, the game is still very very very fun. (Tbf it'd be pretty hard to mess up a Pokemon game though!!)

Honestly, this might be one of my favorite storylines out of any Pokemon game? I've played through most of the Pokemon games (except Coliseum, Snap, Legends Arceus) + only got through half of SwSh and SuMo, but I know what happens in the Gen 7 and 8 storylines. BW/BW2's storyline was more consistent in terms of quality (SV has higher highs and lower lows imo), and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is amazing too, but it follows predictable patterns and its main strength lies in its characterization rather than its actual plot. I haven't played Legends Arceus yet so that's still up in the air (though I hear it's good!)

I really enjoyed the reveal that the Professor Turo we knew was actually an AI, and exploring the Great Crater with our friends from school was so endearing and fun. The Great Crater itself looked incredible -- the design and the music really contributed to its otherworldly ambiance. Even reading the Violet Book made me really excited -- but then again, I've always been a sucker for stories of adventure. I would kill to have a Made in Abyss style anime of Heath's expedition into the Crater...

The characters in this game feel really alive, too -- Pokemon games have definitely stepped up their game in that regard. I liked Nemona the most (and how self-aware, yet incorrigible she is lol), and most of the teachers. ❤️

Miriam is such a sweetheart, and Hassel's sobbing whenever he was proud of us was so cute haha. Salvatore didn't speak to me as much, but I enjoyed his mini-storyline of befriending a Pokemon that didn't really speak, and him being completely understanding (as a languages teacher) that sometimes you don't need to speak the same language, or even a language to communicate with others around you. His entire character is such a vibe, too?? He's so happy and upbeat, and his advice about trying to learn the languages of places you go to and complimenting other people (especially their culture, food, etc.) is so real. Miriam being motivated by our dedication in the Treasure Hunt to pursue her own certification was sweet, I've definitely felt that way before as well (being motivated by the efforts of others, that is. ;o;)

Raifort I didn't connect to as much, but I appreciate her zealousness towards history. Her overall personality was pretty fun. xD I really really did enjoy the story about the ruinous treasure Pokemon, though -- one of my favorite (if not favorite) legendary Pokemon stories now. I've always loved fairytale-esque stories, and the designs of these Pokemon (especially Chien Pao and Chi Yu) are amazing. Their battle music is one of the best things I've ever listened to, so there's that too. xD

NPC designs have also stepped up (Grusha and Rika are so hot LOL), but player customization has taken a step back which was very disappointing to find out. And much as I loved Pokemon ScarVio overall, I do understand where a lot of the grievances people had came from.

I don't consider myself a genwunner (far from it lol) but many of the new Pokemon designs just felt... lacking? Like beta designs. Flamigo, Tandemaus, Palafin, Pawmot. Some of these are probably just personal preference so I won't harp on this too much, but eh.

Arven's storyline also didn't speak to me as much but that also just kind comes down to personal preference.

Something I also didn't like as much was the Team Star storyline -- it felt kind of contrived, and like it was really trying to make us feel bad for the area leaders. I also didn't care for Penny that much, although her interactions in the Great Crater area made up for it.

I would've rather we had a proper villainous team this generation instead of getting Team Star, but I guess then it would've been weird if the school let us run around the country lol.

Because run around the country we did... from top to bottom, for those f**king ominous stakes. They couldn't have made them show up on the map either (unless there's a function I missed. Which if that is the case let me live in ignorance aaaaaaaah I'll legit start foaming at the mouth if it turns out I just needed to turn something on). The idea of the stakes sealing these ruinous Pokemon's powers is alright, it's just annoying to have to scramble down cliffs and valleys to find 32 of these things.

As much as I do like the Great Crater part of the storyline, I wish it was more ingrained with everything else. The gym challenges, Team Star, the herba mystica... I mean, it was technically ingrained in the sense that you need to help your rivals out with their issues so they can accompany you into the crater, but there should've been more story significance tying everything together.

I also would've appreciated some sidequests in the Pokemon world. Coming from Genshin, I'm kind of spoiled in that regard (the world is soooo chock-full of events and quests and areas to explore). While Paldea doesn't really need that many quests and hidden areas (it's gotten to the point where exploration is kind of exhausting in Genshin lol), more would've been nice.

Environmental storytelling almost always hits, and it could've been a nice way to talk about the issues invasive species pose (basically our reason for shutting down the time machine) and in turn, connect things to the main storyline as well. For example, Barraskewda's Violet Pokedex entry mentions that it completes with Palafin for food -- what if Barraskewda wasn't native to Paldea, and just hitched a ride from Galar? We could have had a sidequest to curb the Barraskewda population to help the native Palafin population recover. That's just one example, too. What about the giant Iron Treads in the desert, or the rolling boulders dropped by Bombirdier? That things had to have caused some collateral damage, and it would have been cool to get quests to help the Pokemon or people in the area recover.

Paldea's open world was very beautiful and fun to explore, but it was also really... empty. I hope that in a future iteration of games, these kinds of sidequests can be added. The addition of them would really help make the world feel more alive.

And while I do really like ScarVio's story, its execution could have been a lot better than it was. But despite all the game's flaws, it was still incredibly fun ,and surprisingly touching. :') I am very extremely excited for the eventual DLC that will hopefully give us a glimpse of that hexagonal Pokemon, and more story content of the main four. 🥺🥺🥺

Are you named after anyone?  Sort of.  Basically, Katharina is a fairly common German name version of Katherine, and my mom does have a Tante Katharina who is turning 90 this year!  But I think it was more “I like the name” vs. being named after them.  However, both my middle names are for my paternal and maternal grandmothers.

When was the last time you cried?  What kind?  I definitely have no problem sharing the “my joy overfloweth” kind of crying at any time - literally got an emote of my bday face from like two years ago being all happy crying at digital gifts and well wishes lol - but the sad, or anxiety kind?  Nah.  I’ll dip before anyone gets to see that.  Let’s blame my Scorpio vibes and not the c-ptsd. 

Do you have kids?  I do!  I have (in my belief system) one child in Heaven from a pregnancy loss and two AMAB kiddos I refer to as my rainbow babies.  I consider them precious gifts that I hope I never take for granted <3   

Do you use sarcasm a lot?  In person, I can easily dip into a Vince Vaughn kind of sarcasm lol (you can even get glimpses via VC chats haha), but online??  My brain reads very literally, I’ll blame the ND codedness, so I use tone indicators and sometimes do ask for them - and happy to provide them if asked, too.  

What's the first thing you notice about people?  Oh!  That’s an interesting question - hm, if given the opportunity (say, a large gathering) I tend to observe how they treat others, especially people who cannot do anything for them - are they kind to the staff?  To the retail worker?  Do they put the cart back?  Do they roll their eyes at someone herp derping and having a (harmless) good time?  Do they snicker and sneer?  Do they speak to people in a kind way? 

When meeting someone directly for the first time, I try to observe what their comfort level is when it comes to personal space and eye contact - everyone is different - so still observing, approaching slowly, smiling, just doing what I can to help create a comfortable safe space before introducing myself with name, and pronouns and (though certainly not implying pressure that they have to share theirs), allowing them to know I’m a safe space if they’d like to share :)

What's your eye colour?  Blue and green with gold colored central heterochromia 

Scary movies or happy endings?  Both, but if I have to pick one, scary movies!

Any special talents?  Tbf some of it this might have more to do with practice vs talent lol, but essentially, all the art things - writing, drawing, singing, some dancing, etc.  Because of chronic lung disease the last two are obviously impaired, but at my peak health days of my youth I competed in nationals for show choir and was a lyrical soprano - I can still hit the notes on good breathing days :)

What are your hobbies?  Most recently consistent?  Fandom works: writing, digital art, doing fandom events.  I’ve also enjoyed various crafts (mostly paper media, but some mixed media as well).  I’ve gotten compliments on my digital prints via my old etsy store, and made Saint peg dolls, and mini Saint altar shrines - I still make the occasional ones for parishioners as requested.  But yeah, most of my hobbies are digital <3 

Do you have any pets?  Too sensitive to pet dander, ammonia, and all related pet things lol - however my mom and brother have animals upstairs in their apartment (two dogs, and three cats), and my kiddos have two guinea pigs (and I haven’t been able to be in their room for more than five minutes at a time since) lol

What sports do you play/have you played?  I was the sick kid in school lol.  I did have a couple stable years in my mid teens, so I did show choir which involved dancing and singing show tunes haha

How tall are you?  Five feet and five and a HALF inches - the half is very important also Marilyn Monroe was the same height, and as a fellow curvy gal I’m like yesssss

Dream job?  Kindergarten teacher, or an art teacher - but especially anything related to children’s services - I went to school for it and am grateful to have had opportunities to work with children in the past <3

Also, I just thought of a possible Proto Freddy headcanon!

When he's fully fixed, some of his small details are mirrored from Glamrock Freddy's. Like, his red earring is on his right ear instead of his left, and his lighting bolt pattern is 'facing' the other side as well.

A very, very subtle difference, and very few people would be able to tell them apart!

This might or might not be a separate headcanon, but Proto Freddy could have an ever so slightly different color palette from Glamrock Freddy, but one would only be able to notice if both bears were basically side by side; if you compare their ingame models, Prototype Freddy's main body color seems to be just lightly more orange, and whatever's left of his blue accents seems to just barely inch a little closer to cyan than Glamrock Freddy's colors.

i'm not particularly inclined toward mpreg tbh 😅 which is why it's so funny and ironic that my one (1) mpreg fic is my most popular haha, but that's also probably just why. cuz it's an mpreg fic written deliberately to be palatable for people who don't like mpreg, haha.

Ooh, good question! tbf there are still a LOT of things I haven't seen yet. I love Klaus and Nathan a lot, though between the two I'd probably choose Klaus, since TUA was the first thing I'd seen him in (although I do remember Misfits gifs on Tumblr from the time it was originally airing and I thought he was cute, lol) I think I'll always have a soft spot for Klaus, haha

As far as lesser known roles go, I think I might go with Vincent Rhodes (though that could change with the more things I watch). Idk, he seems like a kind of person I could be friends with!

I appreciate being told that you like my ramblings! That said it connects so nicely with Mohg's backstory; love, likely in the sewers was transactional, so he can transaction Miquella's love, he's had no control in his life so he seeks to be hyper controlling, on and on, like in a cycle of hurt. I think he's mythologized a version of Miquella in his head that he would definitely react poorly if that illusion was broke. TBF I think fully awoken Miquella might also mop the floor with Mohg IMO.

And thank you for talking to me about them! Yeah, it works so well with his story that it bothers me when people try to completely deny the possibility or else wave it off as "shock value". Dark and uncomfortable scenarios aren't always there just for the hell of it, and in this case, Mohg's abuse of Miquella is more complex than it seems, and plays a role in the story. (And all things considered, its pretty gracefully conveyed, and certainly doesn't feel out of place or anything.)

Yeah he seems to think Miquella actually cares about him and is appreciating his "love" and will wake for him if he continues offering him blood and his affection, and that its simply taking time. To me it seems like Miq is specifically refusing that and staying asleep but Mohg doesn't realize/accept that. I go back and forth if I think they knew each other beforehand or not, and how much he would know of what Miq is like in person (though, Miq might have intentionally come off as more charming on purpose if so, since being loved by all is what he's known for?) Either way, his current views definitely seem warped.

Haha, its hard to say at the moment, I think the reason he was so "fearsome" was more about his incredible intelligence and skill at manipulation more so than powers, he almost made a second erdtree and was developing a way to oppose outer gods, so clearly someone that knew what he was doing. Though as a full god, it should eliminate his physical frailty that came from being stuck as a child. Mohg is pretty strong himself and not stupid, so while he probably thinks Miq will go along with his wishes, I wonder if he did have a way to keep him in control, since he is also the one overseeing his transformation? Also I really love the idea of Miq initially being in a severely weakened and malnourished state right out of the cocoon from his long years of sleep, which is much easier to take advantage of. Like a butterfly with wings still too wet to fly. But no idea if that will actually be the case, maybe he'll be super strong right out of it (and we'll have to deal with it in the dlc that will hopefully exist)

Is there actually a mutual el/riel who doesn't mind reading your theories? Who might just think "hm no I don't agree with this" but they’re totally cool? Wasn't there someone who apologized and also mentioned that they read your theories/ Wasn't there someone who, even though didn't agree with everything you say, liked how nice you are? I really can't remember, but there was a mutual who apparently reads your theories.

It's just that I'm actually curious of what they think, yk? I agree with so many things that you've said and I would be kinda interested in having a conversation with them and talk about why this does and that doesn't make sense to them. I might be weird, but I would enjoy talking with someone who is from the other side and then discuss everything about the ships. Yeah, conversations with stupid people who just get immediatly angry go no where and there would be no point in arguing with those people further. But with the mutual ones, who might even agree with you on some things because they can actually fricking read the books, it could be interesting and you might understand some things from their pov.

I'm just very tired of the shipwar. Toxic people have made it nearly impossible for the nice gwynriels, eluciens, elriels and vuciens to interact about the ships in peace.

Well I guess I do, according to some anons! I have had 2-3 in recent memory.

I used to have a lot of e*riel mutuals, back in the day when people could appreciate the fact that we were all here for the same series, that we could agree on some things and disagree on others and just stay in our lanes. I know I've lost a lot of them since acosf, and tbf I did talk a *lot* of shit out of petty, petty spite so I don't blame them XD Apparently some of them still follow me, which I appreciate. I always tag stuff, so why not? I've barely even talked about that ship since the beginning of the year because I just... don't care.

I would genuinely like to have a conversation that's along the lines of "I think this and here is why, but I get where you are coming from". I do it all the time with people who have different opinions about characters, it is possible. Just check my Nesta tag haha.

The whole fandom atmosphere has made that impossible when it comes to ships, though. It's damn near close to making that sort of discussion impossible when it comes to characters, even. It's a shame. People are just taking all of this way, way too seriously. Again, I have taken it too seriously at times. But big picture. It's honestly not that deep. Fandom is supposed to be fun.
