HELLO GOOD MORNING OR AFTERNOON OR NIGHT. So i started playing twisted wonderland recently and have been enjoying the main story so far, but i have a question. Are there other things i have to check out to understand the lore? I know there is a manga, and i think that there are also some event stories. Do i have to seek out these other things or should i just keep playing the main story?

welcome to Twst! 🎉🎉🎉 I admit upfront that I am not 100% plugged-in to the fandom at large, so if anything I say is wrong, somebody please correct me!

generally I think the game is considered, like, the "default" canon, and you don't need to read the manga (and I think there are some light novels too?) unless, y'know, you want to! they're adaptations of the main story and are basically their own canon, with their own takes on the characters and story. I do sometimes see references but not in, like, a way that requires you to have read them (like a bunch of people started using the manga's designs for little Riddle+Trey+Che'nya after that chapter came out, but no one would be like "uhhh that's wrong" if someone used their own design for them, if that makes sense) (their manga designs are extremely cute though, I want Riddle's sweater in real life).

in terms of the game itself, I would say you might want to read at least some of the personal stories -- there are a lot of them, but they're also usually pretty short, and they're where a lot of the character details and interactions and extra silly stuff tend to be hidden. people upload them to YouTube and/or post translations, so they're pretty easy to find even if you don't have the cards!

most of the events are similarly pretty fun, but they are skippable if you really don't want/have time to read them, since they don't tend to get referenced outside of the event (except for one throwaway reference to Master Chef in episode 7, which honestly still blows my mind that they acknowledged an event in the main story). the ones that take place in characters' hometowns have also traditionally introduced a relative/related character/whatever-Kifaji-is of the event SSR, so those are definitely worth a read if you're interested in that!

tl;dr because I'm incapable of being concise: manga/novels are their own canon separate from the game, you can stick with just the game's main story if you want but it's worth also reading the personal stories/events for the character bits (and it is 100% worth it just to go through episode 5 knowing that Vil has Floyd-juice rubbed into his face the whole time)

Actually, someone made a post discussing this. I cant remember who it was but they made a good point-

In Above and Beyond(?), Natquik is introduced to Tracker and they both act as if they are meeting each other for the first time. But in that flash back with Barnacles, Tracker was there.

If you look at Barnacles and Bianca compared to the other scouts, their outfits are different..

They put it all together and it looks like Natquik was there for Barnacles junior/younger years in the polar scouts. But at some point he disappears..? Then later on when Barnacle is a senior polar scout he falls in the ice. So it looks like in canon that Natquik wasn't there when he fell in the ice. WHICH would be wonderful angst materal.

Barnacles and Natquik are back together on an adventure and they fall in the ice. Natquik is fine but Barnacles is panicking. When they get out he tells Nat the whole story. Nat would feel horrible for not being there for Barnacles all those years ago.. :'(((

HOWEVER.... I'd like to think that Natquik was there through all of Barnacles polar scout years and saw him graduate. Where he eventually retired young to go and do research in the Antarctic. Hmm.. I'll have to think about this one <XD

Uhhg, yeah. The DLC lost me at Cassie. That was already complicated enough. And then the Mimic came around and the 3 other suits and the weird glitchy computer bunny thingggg

I mean don't get me wrong, I love all of FNAF to death but sometimes I wanna push it down the stairs XDD

That's an interesting thought actually. I imagine Freddy wouldn't really like to look at it too much. I have this idea that none of the Glamrocks really like their new forms. Freddy especially, he misses when he was shorter and softer. He was very huggable and it was very rare that a child was scared of him.

Now a days he's mostly just designed to look flashy, not really to hug. And his sheer height means that some of the little kids are afraid of him. :( So looking at one of the older model behind the glass- although its tall too, it'd probably make him sad and miss his old form. :((

Actually its funny that you mention Foxy's legs. Since I've designed Foxy, Bonnie and Roxy with those legs, I've been going back and forth constantly on whether or not it was a good design choice. I kept considering going back and redesigning all of them to have normal legs in my FNAF recap/repair. But I ultimately I kept them for reasons that will be explained later 👀 All in all- I'm glad you like them! :DD

Mmm, I'm not so sure. Some older employees know that Bonnie and Foxy are down there. I don't think seeing him active again would make them bring him back to the stage. They don't have the authority to do that. They would most likely just shut him down again. Maybe even remove his battery so he cannot be reactivated..

Also if I were to make a Glamrock Bonnie design, personally I would keep him purple and make him look more bowling ally themed. <XD Maybe someday I'll draw that! :0

THANK YOU!! :DDD Of course everyone is free to do their own thing. But I personally got kind'a tired of the CONSTANT shipping everywhere. Its like some people think that fandoms cant be fun if the characters aren't romantically pinned together. Or like the most powerful kind of love is romantic. Which is just not true.

So I've just wiped away any and all shipping from all my fandom content. With a tiny select few of exceptions. I wanna show that these characters can love and care for each other, WITHOUT romantic interest being the motive.

The full color version of my Spore Creatures DS egg collection

I made these as designs for a fancomic I want to make based on the Spore series of games, so this is my interpretation of how I think the eggs of individual species could look in-universe as opposed to the default egg we see when a creature respawns at a nest. Some of these might be more canon than the others.

Headcanons:

Because evolution and such in the Spore universe is only tangentially similar to irl evolution, eggs in the Spore universe have a tendency to resemble the species that laid them, with some species rarely having adaptations in the egg stage for camouflage.

Oogies are a species that exist throughout the entire galaxy as different variations and can lay their eggs anywhere that the parent can reach. Oogie hatchlings have an especially unstable genetic code that allows them to survive the harshest environments within the first few hours of life; staying within these environments until the genetic code stabilizes is a common way for an oogie to develop natural immunities without having to evolve a new body part.

Additionally, egg-laying Oogies will often lay a large number of their eggs in communal clumps and reserve one or two eggs for their own keeping. These reserved eggs are hand-raised by their parents and the resulting hatchlings are more likely to resemble their parents compared to the “clump” eggs, which will typically evolve to look vastly different from their parents and siblings.

Striklets and Broogus both have eggs with a velvety texture.

Jungu eggs have thin, soft shells. They bury their eggs in loose dirt or wet mud so the hatchlings can be protected and dig themselves to the surface after emerging.

The Sweezel species has incredibly plain looking eggs compared to others because they are comparatively small and rock-shaped. It is common for Sweezel eggs to be picked up by Eyebungles and used as territory markers; the territorial Eyebungle will easily defend the rocks which form the lines of their territory. When baby Sweezels hatch, they are are strong enough to rapidly dash away to their family nest.

Prunebug eggs are made to blend into the dirt of their home planet and are often hidden near quarries or bushes. The surface of the egg can shimmer a green color in certain lighting that species other than Prunebug cannot see. Prunebug coloration is typically uniform with some slightly different shades of brown, but members with bright and unnatural colors typically are so because of the mineral composition that their eggs were surrounded by. These brightly colored members will often become Alphas of the pack.

The Gar’Skuther egg is not what Gar’Skuther hatched from, he is actually a severly mutated version of a certain in-game species. If Gar’Skuther went through the trouble to develop an egg form of the Skuther species, it would likely be based on his own appearance to signify his self-perceived superior form.

The Fyrisaba cannot always produce eggs with other Fyrisaba due to their nature as hybrid creations. Interestingly, they have more success either acting as OR receiving “genetic donors” from their component species, but this has a 50/50 chance of the resulting eggs becoming either a Fyrisaba or the other species.

We don’t really care about Yuu either way (since we don’t read the manga), but I do like the designs for all of them and how different they are. We also posted a sketch of Yuuta at some point! We like him the most.

Oh, so you mean the JP game is somewhat influenced by the EN censorship too? That would be a bummer, but also kind of funny because it was the second Halloween event where we got that suspicious line of Rook telling us how he woke up in the middle of the night and saw that Vil wasn’t there. I guess it wasn’t a voice line, so….

And yes absolutely, Cater canon brocon! Imagine being so tired of having sisters that your brain just says “if I had a brother I would be very into him, especially if it’s Vil” lol

Yeah, like you’ve noticed already, we don’t mind tops and bottoms sharing in a 3+ people scenario. Although when it comes to spicy scenes specifically, we tend to prefer “multiple tops, one bottom” route and not the “multiple bottoms, one top” route. But if we’re talking about it in general, I think this is pretty much our default state for a lot of characters? Their relationship status is very fluid…

Lilia could easily date both Silver and Idia, to be honest, I think Lilia doesn’t even necessarily consider it “dating”, he just has multiple partners and enjoys his life lol And Malleus would be on Lilia’s “list” too!

Rook and Ortho could find a good balance and date Vil together too! Rook could also date both Vil and Epel, although with Rook it’s tricky because he’s just going around enjoying life… just like Lilia…

Another trio that we’ve talked about recently is Trey+Riddle+Che’nya, they also work nicely as a throuple.

The first years have a lot of things to sort out between themselves, but theoretically? Maybe Deuce could end up with two boyfriends (Jack and Ace). But it absolutely won’t happen soon, they aren’t mature enough for this yet lol

Anon, this is a scenario that I would absolutely love to witness, but unfortunately, I don’t think Idia would do that. Although he is such a troll sometimes, and he is super unlucky (lucky?) when it comes to how his social interactions spiral out of his control, that he might find himself in a similar situation… It’s the butterfly effect – one little joke from Idia, and suddenly a couple of hours later he’s talking to a guy who is in love with him and doesn’t listen to him trying to explain that he isn’t in fact a cute nerdy gal?? And then suddenly the other person STARTS TALKING ABOUT ALL THE FILTHY THINGS THEY WOULD LIKE TO DO TO HIM—Idia had no idea being an accidental e-girl would be so stressful lol

Let’s hope he realises how weirdly arousing it was to read all this gross horny stuff about himself before he blocks the guy… He’ll probably send him a bouquet of computer viruses while still fuming and feeling the tingles uvu what a good girl.

mulling some stuff over and the recent timeline theory I rbed had me thinking- might have to modify the date of when characters were spawned in redux au.

First big one is I'll most likely have to make Phantom a late-stage release, with a purpose to combat Corrupted Units. Another Creator in redux would have snuck him into the code without Luni noticing

This also means Phantom will have trouble getting along with other Units because he's new and mysterious, making him look aloof and distant as similar to his personality in canon, but with more anxiety. classical music is still a comfort for him since many pieces have a consistent tempo for him to focus on (Cyko finds similar comfort in EDM* lol)

Additionally, Reaperess Magy will be promoted to a similar role but still has the training program to run

I'm slowly adding to the roster of Units that were sacrificed to the Corrupted army that Luni is building during the first Corruption Event and delegating most of the canon GW guest/cameo/volunteer designs to the Corrupted army by default if they don't get designs (sorry Nyxeria Luiselle- you're too stereotypical for me to feel comfortable fixing) so that I don't get anyone on my ass about changing them.

GW in this case will be unrelated to any of the other canons and as such, any characters exclusive to those canons will not be involved (sorry senpaibuns, carolina, pandora, tela, myo- you get it). characters that are crossed over may reference those canons but the focus will be on GW.

*- we both quite enjoy EDM but a new one he also enjoys is phonk. I explained to a friend recently that I liked phonk bc 'the skipping in the music sounds like my brain skipping around and stopping in the middle of a train of thought before moving on' and we're both ADHD as hell lol

“Come on buddy, don’t ya wanna make a lil deal with lil ol’ me?”

I’ve been on a bit of an equivalence high recently as anyone following me may have guessed haha ^-^

For anyone who’s interested I’ve written some of my thoughts on demon!Mabel below the cut :3

First things first let's talk about her style and general appearance, cause I feel like I’ve deviated a fair bit from the previously established fancy suit she’d been portrayed as having like Dipper.

My logic for the change (outside of wanting to try drawing something that isn’t a suit haha) is that I feel she would have more varietyin the outfits she wears compared to Dipper. Looking at the show Dipper was out there wearing the exact same outfit for an entire summer while Mabel (admittedly wearing the same type of clothes) had significantly more variety, wearing a different sweater every episode, some episodes even having more than one, and I feel this would continue to reflect here.

Dipper has his suit and doesn't venture much further then that if he can help it (obviously not to say he doesn't but you know what I mean). Mabel mean while would have a new outfit every day, multiple per day sometimes!

Most of the time I think she would default to a more punk, diy aesthetic because of the inherent creativity of it (which for a typically detail averse artist such as myself was certainly a decision haha), not to mention I can imagine Mabel being like “I’m a literal demon Dipper I gotta go for the outfits with the spikes and chains!”

At the same time she would definitely enjoy trying out a whole host of different styles (to a point though. Some just aren't comfortable, not any more at least, a part of her stolen away with the Transcendence).

I'd need to do some research into clothing styles to say specifically what else she would enjoy, but I can say it's a lot of black with small splashes and highlights of colour. She's also, regardless of style wear lots and lots of jewellery and piercings cause I think she’d like them :3

Switching things up a bit I wanna quickly go over her pins (ie, her queer identities). My hc for demon!Mabel is the same for normal Mabel, being bisexual with a masc preference, and a demigirl (she/her/they/them exploring and trying out various neo pronouns as she encounters them, rotating through them depending on her mood).

Slightly serious tangent, but I know the previously established lore for EAU was that she would be aroace, but in all honesty that never quite sat right with me. Like the only reason she, or subsequently Dipper in the main TAU canon, are aspec is because of the demon-ness, and while I love demons and the demonic as much as the next aroace person, and I adore representation of my identity, the implications aren’t my favourite in the world. Obviously no disrespect to the people behind that decision, (in fact I applaud them on exploring how a character like Mabel might react to people assuming she wants that in this lil fic here :3). Only the maddest of respect to the people who make characters the identities they want them to be :) I just wanted to address it for anyone who like me has read every bit of eau content they can get their grubby lil hands on and noticed that particular difference :p

Besides, this way we get to explore the logistical and moral implications of a character being allosexual while also being an incredibly powerful and immortal being, especially when you get into questions of how she ages herself compared regular humans :3c (I think I'll leave that for another post though haha)

On a different note, another design idea I had was that it'd be really cool if she had a dynamic and moving tattoo that would constantly change and show new (typically pig and star related) designs :) this definitely wasn't inspired by my own inability to come up with and stick to a particular singer design, definitely not.

I also thought it would be neat to differentiate the demonic aspects of her and Alcor's design by giving her feathered wings, rather than the typical bat wings. I mostly just thought it could be nice to try drawing something different, and while Dipper and Mabel are very close and have a fair amount in common they are still very different characters, so it would make sense for their demonic features to differ, even is only slightly. On that note I also gave her a pink outline to her pupils as inspired by this art cause I thought it was neat :3

Anyway I accidentally posted this before I was finished so Imma just take that as a sign to stop and put my other thoughts in a different post haha 😅

So…

I was doing an rp with @sad-boy-coven and a few others where young Caleb and Philip (I was Caleb) fell into the Boiling Isles and then fell through a time pool, eventually meeting Lilith and Eda.

Caleb is initially friendly, though internally suspicious, and Philip is outright antagonistic at times. I’m a big fan of the idea that Caleb used to be as into witch hunting as Philip (and maybe even introduced him to it) but later realized it was wrong, so he suggests to Philip that niceties would be a good manner to win over the witches and capture them off guard.

Then, Philip likely being the child who caught the common cold every year since he was two and nearly died each time, gets the common mold.

See, the thing about time travel is that going back in time could create a plague from all the viruses, bacteria, etc. that you developed an immune defense that the people of the past would not be able to fight (see the Spanish Influenza as well as the growing resistances against antibiotics). Meanwhile, going to the future could kill you due to the aforementioned reason.

So Philip gets absolutely messed up by the modern common mold, so Lilith, not knowing better, gives him the medicine for it. The medicine that is made for witches, not humans. This would likely be toxic, so Philip becomes even more sick, and Caleb panics.

Prior to this, Caleb had been slowly opening up to the idea that witches weren’t as bad as Gravesfield and the Bible suggested. He had been slowly bonding with Lilith of older sibling issues and trauma.

After this, Caleb immediately reverts back to his “default programming” and assumes that everything the connected over was a trap in order to lower their guards to kill them. He then attempts to find his way through time pools to get back to town and see the minister/priest to beg him to save Philip.

He finds the time pool as Lilith catches up to them, but Philip is incredibly weak and at the edge of death.

In the rp, Caleb’s desperation to do anything to save his brother overcomes his distrust of Lilith, and he allows her to administer an antidote for the toxins that Philip ingested.

But…As soon as that happened…

If it matters to anyone, they ended up going to the demon realm because Caleb wanted to take Philip to the beach like he had wanted as a child. So cue feelings of guilt for the unintentional death of his brother.

This is the first post as I do not have character designs drawn up yet. In the actual canon of the AU, I might make it a Clawthorne ancestor (probably Evelyn) that the brothers meet (so they simply fall into the Isles rather than the future as well.) to make it more sensible and not have to worry about “the Bloodyfly Effect” as Lilith put it.

So now Caleb has been left entirely alone, been abandoned by the church when he needed it most, “tricked” by witches, and forced to bury his brother. Caleb would grow up to go on a full blown crusade to destroy witches.

In the most recent episode, For the Future, we see that Philip’s lies are slipping through his fingers—even the ones to himself. Caleb would not have that feeling because of how his brother died. (I am not sure how/if grimwalkers will be integrated.) However, his relationship with the Collector is more positive because it reminds him of Philip’s gremlin energy as a child.

day 28 of martch - redraw old art

had this idea 4 years ago and now i have realized it lol. i put way too much thought into this so notes below

notes for designs i did while making this:

i wanted them all to have unique eye shapes instead of defaulting to how i draw eyes normally because animal crossing characters dont have uniform eyes lol

also i worried wayy too much about some of the species choices lol. like. do i make junko a bear because monokuma, or does that give the twist away? do i make everybody a different species, or do i double dip in a few places to make the twin twist less predictable? ultimately decided fuck it im not writing the game im drawing fanart i can do what i want

when i first came up with this idea i'd only fully decided on the species of 7 of the cast so here's my train of thought for why they are what they are:

yasuhiro- easiest out of the way first. there's nothing else he could be but a frog. decided to give him the weird facial hair animal crossing sometimes gives their characters because its not animal crossing without a couple ugly guys (affectionate)

hifumi- big guy. elephant. made sense. gave him some pink accents despite not thinking it worked all that well to get that animal crossing authenticity yknow lol. plus he likes some cutesy things so he can have some pink as a treat

sakura- felt bad about making her a gorilla ngl- especially since she is. one of the three characters in this game with a darker skin tone. but literally no other species made sense for her. and ngl there are like. no gorilla villagers i like. so i tried my best to make her look cool as hell

sayaka- cat villagers are super popular, so might as well make the ultimate pop idol one, right?

asahina- okay this comes from bias on my part but in my new horizons my default uchi villager was a rabbit and asahina would 100% be an uchi villager so bada bing bada boom. ended up making her coat more orange than it actually is cause i wanted her to be red and didnt want it to clash.

mondo- im going to be completely honest. when i thought of this i was just like "oh that makes sense i always associated mondo with tigers i dont remember why tho." and i just double checked and not only are they in his execution but he also has tiger underwear. so. this ones canon imo

kyoko: i was between anteater and wolf for her, and since i decided not to double dip on species, i went with anteater. idk, anteater villagers always seem so aloof and strange to me, it's just her vibe.

junko & mukuro: i was between bear, cat, and rabbit for them, and once again, avoided double dipping. bear is pretty obvious, but cat was because once again, cat villagers are so popular, and rabbit was because of the irony. junko's ears are also supposed to mimic the little monokuma hair ties she has lol

celestia: i was between anteater and ostrich, and i'd already chosen kyoko as the anteater. i didn't even remember that the ostrich villager was called ostrich for a bit, i kept thinking of her as a peacock, but then realized that was perfect for her whole european thing lol.

toko: i was between cat and squirrel, and sayaka was cat. her just being such a small bitter little guy is fitting for her i think.

chihiro: i was between hamster, rabbit, and mouse, and rabbit was taken. i think i only went with mouse because i wanted to draw that head shape, but i did realize after that that means they and mondo are a cat and mouse lol

makoto: i was between deer and dog, and honestly it all came down to his ahoge. if there was a way to have antlers and an ahoge, i would have done so, but honestly it worked out for the best i think. having a dog and cat relationship with sayaka + komaru and toko being dog and squirrel just worked too well.

togami: i was between horse and eagle and this was one of the hardest decisions. ultimately went with eagle simply because i didnt want to draw an animal crossing horse. this did end up making the squirrel be obsessed with the eagle which i do love. i kept trying to work blue into his design but it just did not work at all.

leon: oh leon. the hardest one to choose. i had to save him for until id decided everyone else lol. i was between bull, eagle, and tiger, and went with bull bc of double dipping. all three suited him equally i think it was hard to choose. also coloring him was hard too lol

You literally cannot come up with any other criticism of us outside of projecting the show writers' misogyny onto us because you can't come up with a good retort to our criticisms so you fall back on using buzwords to demonize us.

Look, I don't know what character you're specifically talking about, my blog is mainly centered around Ironwood, and I just posted an edited screenshot of Whitley, so I'll just go over peoples reasons for liking these male characters you've decided we shouldn't like and why we're not misogynists for doing so.

Adam Taurus- let's get something very clear, no one likes Adam as he is in the show. No one likes that he abused Blake, no one likes that he was a faunus supremacist, and no one likes his terrible voice acting. The reason people have still held onto Adam and go out of their way to rewrite him is because he is the embodiment of the show's disgusting opinions on race and the concept of fighting back, and is the main face of the white fang plotline.

Illia? She turned to Blake's side after getting talked out of violent protest, so she can't be a representation of violent protest being necessary. (And it was necessary canonically, According to Blake, the only reason the faunus have most of the equal treatment they get now is because of the white fang moving to a more violent approach) Sienna was a gorgeous character design that existed for four minutes before she was unceremoniously killed and Adam was once again cemented as the big bad. Forgive us for wanting a well written racism plotline rather than a poorly written abuse plotline.

If you're bitching about Ironwood here's the deal, I only like Vol 2-7 Ironwood, because I view vol 8 Ironwood to be an entirely different person. Let's see what sexist things vol 2-7 Ironwood did? He flirts with Glynda in his first appearance (kind of, all he does is say "Glynda! It has been far too long) and she walks off annoyed.

Flirting with a woman does not inherently make a man sexist? JAUNE went out of his way to not hear a no from Weiss and Weiss was treated like the bad guy by her own friends because she didn't say yes to a boy she wasn't attracted to. That's sexist, but I bet you guys don't think it was that big of a deal do you?

Ironwood is mostly shown to care about the opinions of the women in his life, encouraging young women like Ruby when he tells her that going after that masked woman and trying to prevent harm was exactly what a huntress should do. And he defaults to Winter's opinion constantly because he respects her and views her as essentially his second in command. If you're going to bring up the Winter Maiden, I don't know if you can blame Ironwood for providing Hospice care to an old woman with dementia as well as keeping her safe from the villains who want to murder her and take her powers, as well as putting the woman he believes is the best possible fit for the job in charge of taking care of her needs so she when she passes, Winter can take the powers.

Any sexism in that plotline is inevitable because the Maidens are kind of an inherently Sexist concept for the show writers to add onto the story.

Ironwood treated Penny just fine until Vol 8. What we're told and what we're shown in volume 7 is inherently contradictory ("Ironwood says I don't have time for friends" *Ironwood literally lets her hang around these people all the time and have a goddamn party with them*) so that's up to interpretation. I personally think that him keeping Penny on a tight leash in the Beacon arc because of her status as a government funded synthetic person who is also meant to be a weapon, and whose discovery could get Atlas in big trouble and might compromise her safety (which it did for the record) is personality reasonable, BUT I don't agree with it. I think that Penny deserves to be her own person with her own friends, and who can get the chance to live a happy normal life. And her relationship with Ironwood and his overprotectiveness is a big theme in my Remnant City AU.

Ok, so, for laughs. Let's talk about Whitley. I don't know about you, but I feel no need to be nice to people who have never been nice to me even if they are women.

The only women Whitley is shown to be mean to in anyway are his female family members, and if I was ever in his position, I would probably hate them too. His mother basically abandoned him for his entire life and became a neglectful alcoholic, something that every child should have the right to be pissed about. Winter and Whitley barely interact. Winter never mentions him or worries about his safety, and Whitley is not obligated to be kind to someone who clearly doesn't give a shit about him.

As for Weiss? He and Weiss are literally raised in a narcissistic abuse situation (as in the parent abuses the child to further their own goals, not necessarily that the abuser IS a diagnosed narcissist, I just feel the need to clear that up) where their father pits them against each other.

Whitley has also been left by Weiss with his abusers without her giving a damn about him after already being gaslit by his father into believing that Weiss is his competition and not a loved one. Even when Weiss's told that Whitley has been abused by his parents as much as she has, and the reason he hates her is because she chose to leave and never think about him, cementing in his mind that she never cared about him, Whitley couldn't even get a goddamn sentence out before she was threatening him with a military grade weapon designed to kill monsters three times his size.

I don't understand why the show writers thought it was the abused child's job to redeem himself in the eyes of someone who he thinks (with very good reason mind you) doesn't love him or care about him just because she's the main character, and I definitely don't understand why the FNDM took this interpretation and ran with it. But accusing Whitley of treating women like shit because he didn't immediately roll over and do everything he could to appease them when they never even looked in his direction with anything other than a glare? Shut up.

My gf and i's medsnip: arlowe and wren! a lot of their story takes place pre-teufort but they eventually become RED's medic and sniper! ^v^ "canon" red medic and sniper don't exist in this universe. they're already dating by the time they wind up at teufort together! we're still working on a lot of their backstories but i'll eventually talk more about them/write a fic for them too! ^u^

My vampire medsnip: tumblr Adores them.., yes.,., my vampire medic and hunter sniper! sniper's a vampire hunter who is hired by vampire medic to do some dirty work for him. they end up falling for each other... but not before spilling a lot of blood together!

have another version of them drafted where sniper's a herbalist and falls in love with a Big Mean Vampire who once used to love healing humans more than he loves harming them.. :'( they fall in love.,., show each other tenderness... HEHEHE..

My cult god medsnip: medic is a shapeshifting god/demon/spirit/whatever that thrives and grows in power from the cult that is convinced he exists and worships him. likes toying with them and giving them "signs" he exists and whatnot and loves the praise because, well, who wouldn't! :-) hoo! buuuut a Certain Denier has caught his eye...! sniper thinks that cult nonsense is a load of crap and doesn't fall for it. Naturally this makes medic Carnally Desire him and his attention... HEHE... >:)

My swamp monster medsnip: sniper is a werecroc that lives out in the comfy cozy australian bush/marshland (haven't decided yet). rough it as a human and also as a crocodile and loves being alone. until one day a very curious "Doctor" starts stomping around his secluded slice of heaven in search of/researching the plants and animals of the area (to harvest for his zany experiments of course!)... sniper hates people but this one just seems kind of... Charming... hmm.... !

My eldritch medsnip: MEGA work in progress. need to think about this more actually.,., Medic Is Not What He Says He Is and sniper has a hunch... ;-) medic has a "breath of life" ability which is ironic because the hurting is more rewarding than the healing! :'( HEHE. also have a cool idea for an eldritch sniper but idk if i'd want to fit them in Together or have separate aus!

My old retired domestic medsnip: would follow my "canon" medsnip. years and years later, some vague skip of time. the sorrow..,., the sweetness.,., in the Unlikely Event they retire... how might that go.. :) sniper's fine with aging but medic is NOT. everything can be defied! age! death! isn't that what you want sniper!! but maybe sniper wants to retire to some small house on the german coast with medic.,., medic can extend his life infinitely with his "devil deal" but what about his sniper.,., who has already died once... but could either of them Really ever retire...? HEHEH.., i've actually written a lot of this and i should probably publish it in a standalone fic. very emotional very angsty!!

My demon medsnip: have a couple different versions of this General Concept buut the one i'll mention is a conspiracy theorist/total shut-in/sex-starved/supernatural sighter sniper summoning a demon medic... but instead of it being the kind of demon sniper was after (for whatever reason. havent figured it out yet), it turns out medic's a lust demon... Smirks

My merfolk medsnip: ONE I REALLY LOVE I JUST HAVENT GOTTEN AROUND TO FLESHING OUT YET GRAAHH... i love the idea of one being human and one being a merperson but i also love the idea of them both being merfolk... ROACHES.

Formaldehyde, better known as Serial Designation: N or simply just "Hyde."

The original concept for him was based on a popular artist's personality swap AU in which N and V's personalities were flipped ( making N the mean and paranoid one ). Throughout the months I spent on discord, he has expanded from this so there's actually a lot of unique and canon divergent traits to him outside of just that.

Hyde stands at 6'6" ( 198.12 cm ) tall and is broadly built, giving the appearance of a muscular person with a broad chest and shoulders. He'd be considered a barbarian or bruiser class fighter, with a lot of his fighting tactics relying on brute strength and heavy hitting rather than the expected agility and versatility of other models. This doesn't make him any less equipped for aerial or ranged combat however, and he will backtrack to it if he has to.

Him and Uzi come from a timeline where Copper Nine was entirely wiped of life but was not swallowed by the Solver. Uzi was left unconscious from the over-exertion of her abilities and Hyde spent many months caring for her instead of himself ( steadily starving in the process ).

He and Uzi were found ( and essentially rescued ) by Leah, who took the two of them in. When he first arrived, he was nonverbal and volatile in the same way a wild animal in rehabilitation would be while attempting to acclimate to a new area. He has since acclimated to the situation and even considers the Countdown Studio his primary home.

Leah removed any and all failsafes or restrictive codes that he was programmed with, meaning he does NOT follow the laws of robotics. This drone can and will consume humans ( as he has canonically done as of Episode 7 ), seeing them as an ample substitute for oil when necessary. Hyde actively pursues humans to kill and eat when there are not drones around to get oil from.

Because of who he lives and works with, Hyde has picked up quite a few quirks and a showman personality front that he tends to slide to as a default when engaging with people he is unfamiliar with. This playful attitude is often paired with malicious jabs into someone else if he decides that they'd be much more entertaining to him as a plaything than a companion ( which is typically his default before he finds they might be more worthwhile as an ally than an enemy ).

If he loves you, you have gained the ultimate scary dog privilege; Hyde is a 'kill on sight' attitude when it comes to specific people or his loved ones not liking someone. Point someone out that you genuinely want dead ? No worries, babe, he's on it. Do you want a piece ? He'll share if you do.

How I'd go about reintroducing Mephiles back into Sonic lore(sorta)

So this isn't going to be super structured, its gonna be really rambly but its basically cuz i'm repeating the whole thought process I had while looking stuff up, brainstorming etc so sorry if it gets a bit long, so I'll put design stuff and the whole thing under a keep reading link. Got it? Good. Lets uh, do this.

So to go back to the very beginning, the sonic channel poll. That was a wild time haha. When i first saw it I wasn't initially interested in Mephiles. I would've voted for Vector or Sonicman tbh. But seeing people talking about how cool it would be to reintroduce a character that got wiped out of existence made it a bit more entertaining to me. Which made it suck a little more that he didnt win. But hey, im not complaining about Sonicman, good for him. But that got me thinking about how difficult it would be to reintroduce Mephiles. After all, he came from a very infamous game that still leaves scars in Sonic's history, and having him just come back when his whole story revolved around a game that ppl do not want back is tricky. At least with Silver they rewrote his future a bit, and Blaze already had lore. Elise might still exist but they can mention Soleanna without having to explore too much of its past game story. Mephiles was pivotal to a plot that Sega does not want to bring back. So, i don't think they'd want to bring him back in his initial form. I also think they're trying to stray from the god stuff Sonic 06 brought into the series(besides the End).

But then I thought about IDW's canon. Where its almost sorta filler, it'll acknowledge the games but the game will only reference its characters and story in passing(so far). IDW would probably be the best place to put Mephiles so that he gets an arc without it affecting the mainline games, but still exist. Still I think we need to go further in. Solaris was not only killed in the future, but erased from existence in the beginning. Existence was rewritten to what it is now, how to you bring back a character that was not only killed, but erased? Well for the killed part, what about reincarnation? Weakened to a mortal form with lesser powers(still reminiscent of the past, but not to the time manipulation powers it once was. Essentially, mostly just the shadow powers with some new perks, but no time travel or time god powers). There can be many ways to introduce a reincarnated character, but I have an idea in mind ill elaborate on later. Next, for the erased part. Well, my idea was, why not use Null Space? Maybe what Eggman assumed was a realm created by the Phantom Ruby was actually a pocket dimension where things that didnt make sense in the new reality were put into. It has so little lore and its not very explored, rewriting it a tad wouldn't be a big deal. There was things in Null Space, despite it being described as a place of nothingness. Everything that was from the 06 reality that couldnt fit neatly into the new one was put into this pocket dimension that's essentially the void. Thats where "Mephiles" has been this entire time.

Back to the reincarnation bit, having a character like this means that while this character is in fact Mephiles, it also sorta isn't. I think this grey line where it brings back Mephiles but can be its own character in time would help ppl feel more confident in bringing him back. He wont be 100% the same, but he still has those qualities that made him seem so cool in the first place. Cold, manipulative, and destructive. Trying to always be one step ahead of others.

My idea of bringing Mephiles back would be in the form of a child. Why? Well when I think of being reverted to a weakened state, i sometimes default to children. Children also represent untapped potential, the ability to grow and change, and be easily influenced by their environment. For a character that beckons to the past but also has the ability to grow beyond it, being a child makes sense to me thematically. Also the idea of the edgy, cold merciless personality being in the body of a child is endearing to me. I actually designed a hedgehog form for this character that's supposed to harken back to Mephiles' initial form, but look like his own person. Its not what I think is the ideal form for the character, but hey i tried. My tablet broke tho so its only a doodle.

I like the straightjacket look of it, and it's loosely based on the scepter of darkness because this body is a mortal cage for Mephiles' soul. Its supposed to look like a creepy edgy kid, Mephiles himself is kinda offputting in that way anyways. Might simplify the little thorn spikes from the shoes or waist, or remove em entirely. The coat is also supposed to cover his body markings, in case one would want to keep his identity a bit of a surprise, initially. The claws are summoned, not inherently a part of his body. Looks like Mephiles' hands, just bigger. Also partially inspired by Sig from Puyo Puyo.

Since this is Mephiles-but-sorta-not, he needed a new name. I wanted to keep it close to the original Mephiles while still having its own identity, so I did research. And uh, it was probably very obvious for most but he's supposed to symbolize both God and the devil? So Mephiles is short for Mephistopheles from Faust, which also became another name for Satan. Iblis was a demon in the Islamic tradition that is also another name for Satan somewhat. And Solaris, which is a name that harkens to the sun(being a sun and time god), also harkens to Satan's original name Lucificer(meaning light-bringer/bearer, keep that in mind). Plus with the 6's of different features in the first phase and then turning into an angel of light in the final, its kinda obvious who Mephiles is supposed to represent. Well, besides also being a fusion of the concept of God, for relating to light and time. On a side note, looking into a game ive played but had no interest in, Sonic 06 really was supposed to be such an ambitious game. It had all these plot intricacies, metaphors, and the weight of fighting a god was supposed to be really heavy. It was supposed to be the biggest fight in Sonic history. The biggest bad who ever bad-ded. It was meant to be so important. It was probably obvious to most, but it was only by looking into it that I got an appreciation for 06. Its just a shame that it ended up how it did. But anyways, back to names. So I wanted to follow the same theme as Mephiles, Iblis, and Solaris, being that they are all names for the Devil. Lucifer was considered the original name for the Devil, but I dont want to be that obvious. Well, i looked into the name, and Lucifer actually had greek origins with i believe the God of Venus. Well, another name for the god of Venus was Phosphorus(which guess what, also means light-bringer!). So i shortened it, and behold, the new name is Phos. So we have a design and a name! Whats the story?

Well, I don't have everything planned out, but I did have a few bullet points I'll post here:

Reincarnation of Mephiles, stripped of divine power but has his shadow manipulation still

Lives in the Null Void from Forces(the Null Void is actually a pocket of space created when the original reality deleted itself.)

When Sonic enters and escapes Null Void, Phos leaves as well.

Has no memories, bumps into sonic and co

Wants to learn who he is, gets attached to sonic due to familiarity

Hates shadow, like original counterpart

Shadow does not trust him at all, and Sonic is suspicious but hey, they dont know who Mephiles is anyways. The kid looks sketchy but hes also abandoned and amnesiac, it would feel pretty bad to beat up a child. Maybe not for Shadow lol.

Has extreme empathy, but no sympathy: Is able to read people to an inhuman degree and reflect their emotions like a mirror due to lacking individuality(initially)

Starts off as cold and emotionless, incredibly manipulative due to the ability to detect the feelings of his target.

Ends up living with Vanilla and Cream as compromise(its really funny that Cream befriends a demon baby)

He does good things and makes friends not cuz he wants to, but because he figures making allies and doing what he can so they dont kick him out will help out more in the long run. When he messes up and his morality is questioned, hes able to barely stay by putting things in his favor and talking it out.

Maybe initially tries to manipulate Sonic, but later learns of the strength of his character.

Gradually not only understands the emotions of others, but begins to absorb them as well, gaining his own feelings based on the ideals of the people in his life, primarily Sonic, Shadow, and Silver(the three who killed him in the first place)

Eventually learns about the truth, plots to regain his other half and reach his deity status somehow

Maybe ties into targeting Blaze for her fire powers? Could be related to what happened to Iblis after the reset.

When he realizes he wants to be his own person and choose his life, its too late and he's becoming Mephiles.

Sonic and co go to save him, fight ensues, Phos helps from inside his own shattered mind, and is eventually able to revert back to normal, keeping his weakened powers but is not inherently evil or empty anymore. Still kinda cold and crafty but he's doing it for good(or what he believes in good, kinda stubborn like Shadow).

Joins the cast as a regular character.

So for his powers, I kinda simplified them into a few things:

Shadow manipulation powers. Absorbs shadows, can merge into shadows to hide or teleport between them. Maybe the shadow balls come back, not sure. Can make shadow-y clones too.

Crystalline powers. Harkens back to his past body. Is able to make claws out of a crystal like substance and slash at things. Maybe can shoot them like projectiles too.

Idk if he'd keep his ability to morph into other peoples appearances though. IDW already has that one guy and its not like Mephiles made exact copies. Plus he already has his own body. Considering that Phos is meant to be somewhat empty inside and reflects the emotions of his peers, it could be fitting. Maybe when he becomes more introspective he shifts into the appearances of other characters when he thinks about them. idk.

But uh yea that was everything i had written down(i made notes based on the late night brainworms I was getting that lasted a couple of hours. This was the fruit of that labor haha.) I'm not saying this is the perfect way of bringing him back, its possible people will be upset with this version or not prefer it, but hey i like it so its gotta mean something. Technically by writing this down it kinda guarantees SEGA would not use it anyways, so its not important anyways. I might keep this as my own oc and doodle more concepts of this schemer demon baby in the future though, I think it's really neat. The idea of having a powerful small child with emotionless whims that you pray stays on your side is very cool to me, and this whole thing was fun practice anyways. I hope you guys have a good one, if you have any critiques or ideas you'd like to share id love to hear it. Just uh, be nice to me please lol. I'm trying my best. -Initially I would have said gators, and I really wanna say that gatorclaws don't count since they're just retextured deathclaws buuuut.

Pigs. Wild pigs do very well on their own and they'd be quite a force in the wasteland, especially if irradiated. I think most people are familair with domesticated pigs in a farm setting and don't think about the wild boars that gore people and tear up your fucking yard. Imagine if that thang was even larger and had three heads all melted into each other?

25. I actually do want to hear about your fallout OCS! PLEASE give me a fun fact about each one you have!

-E...each one..? How about three of my AU characters since I have so damn many of them.

Swapout Nick/N1-33: Since human Nick does not have an established canonical appearance (his synth form is a default gen-2 and I don't take that as being indicative of his former features), I partially modeled his face off of 1930's actor Humphrey Bogart.

Horrorout Deacon: His design originated from a very very very old "oc" of mine from my prepubescent creepypasta days. I had a lot of them but this one was workshopped between myself and an old friend of mine, though with significant changes being made that honesty? I might like to recycle for other characters.

Fellout Hancock/Washington: Part of my favorite thing about designed "Hancock variants" is deciding how to incorporate the american flag as an accessory. Canon hancock wears it as a belt, and swapout cait/betsy ross wears it as a headband, so for fellout I instantly knew I wanted to model it as an ascot. I feel like an ascot is more "high end" fashion accessory that really encapsulates what his character is supposed to be in this particular AU, as a corupted political figure who has lost touch with the people he initially sympahtized with/was a part of. The flag being worn as a belt, you can make the argument that it symbolizes having a more practical function in his character, where as the ascot is just a decorative piece that has lost its true meaning.

Ok so due to PROJECT "SHADOW": APOCALYPSE, Shadow eventually teaches himself how to read his own code (with DREAM's help). This is a thing DREAM teaches him after he finds out about it in order to help him deal with learning about the fact that Gerald programmed him to become worse and worse over time. DREAM figured that if they could figure out how to manipulate the code themselves, they could just stop Shadow from changing any more than he already has.

This is not what Shadow did.

He learned how to edit his own code and then started playing flash dressup game with himself.

Basically imagine you have a flash game and Shadow is the default girl and then you can add things to her like scales and horns and a third eye and wings and a long tail and extra fur and etc. By the time Shadow and DREAM find out about APOCALYPSE, most of the drastic physical changes to Shadow's body have already occured. (There are a few other ones that are less physical, but this isn't about them rn this is about GOGIRLSGAMES DRESSUP.) So Shadow and DREAM first do the practical thing and shut off future changes. Like, there's one that renders Shadow's voicebox unable to produce human language and thats fucking terrifying to Shadow so he shuts it off.

And then he realizes that he can turn off changes that have already occured, like his horns or his scales or his third eye, and this gets him really excited. It's one of the rare times where he like, literally wags his tail he is so excited about this. So he starts messing around with it and envisioning his ideal self. At first this is just his old self, like his canon design, but its so strange, because soon he realizes he actually misses things like his long tail or his extra fur, and that actually at this point the third eye is a necessity that he can't not have (or else Doom's Eye gets a lil weird) so he goes back to them.

In his euphoria and self-loathing, Shadow forgets something very important. Undergoing every stage of APOCALYPSE's transformation in the first place really fucking hurt. Because growing extra bones and rapidly increasing the rate at which your body changes is, you know, painful and not what your body expects, and Shadow already suffers from chronic pain on top of this. So he accidentally sends his body into the same kind of physical shock he felt the first time.

So now some days he'll wake up and be like "hm today is a horn day" for whatever reason and go into his programming and change the code and then spend the rest of the day in a fucking pain coma while they grow in. He's really fucking dramatic about it too he makes DREAM sit with him all day so he can go comatose in her lap and she can hold him cuz that's where he feels safest (they are wives).

It's usually not painful when he turns off a physical trait, because chances are it'll just fall off. Like, his horns fall off like a deer's horns would and the skin where they used to be is a little raw so he might but a bandage there until it closes up, but it doesn't hurt like a dagger piercing through his flesh, you know?

He likes to make himself fluffier and also give himself more breathing holes because those two things help with The Horrors. He will grab onto his fur and brush it when DREAM isn't around to stim with and having more breathing holes makes it easier to calm down when he's panicking. Everything is not finw but at least Shadow can play flash dressup with himself.

WHY DO YOU APOLOGIZE THIS IS BRILLIANT

Were you thinking Character Replacement or Tossed Into The Other World? Obviously it'd have to be set in the Undertale world either way. Would Sans and Mikey be friends? I feel like Sans and Papyrus would like Mikey a lot (I'm thinking 2012 of course but Rise would also be excellent)

If it's a case of "Rise are thrown into the Undertale world" I JUST KNOW that Leo and Donnie are huge Undertale nerds and are freaking out. And quoting so many memes. They're torn because they HAVE to be pacifist for the good ending but then no in-person Megalavania oh no that'd be a TRAGEDY but they don't wanna hurt anyoneeeeee

If it's Character Replacement though- whoo! Who'd even be who? I mean I guess Splinter could be Toriel and Shredder be Asgore but. Then that'd carry the implication they're divorced. Which is weird because I always default think of Rise and 2012 and they're family in both of those. So IDK about that one. Also Shredder is way more of a dick than Asgore as far as I remember (been a while since I watched an Undertale playthrough and I don't own the game myself).

I feel like it'd have to be April as Frisk, yeah? Monster Kid is probs Casey. I guess that defaults Donnie to Alphys (I'm thinking 2012 here mostly) which- actually that tracks pretty well I think. Raph and Mikey might be Sans and Papyrus, respectively. I know Raph isn't lazy by any means, nor always very laid-back, but somehow the vibe still seems right? Probably the Protective Older Brother energy. What does that make Leo though? Does that leave Leo to be Flowey? That's an odd role for him, though I guess would kinda match up to his whole thing in Mutant Apocalypse. I don't know if I really like that though...

Wait if Donnie is Alphys that means whoever ends up being Undyne is his love interest. Which is. I don't like any of the possibilities there. Especially because I thought "Oh Karai probably" but then "WAIT UNDYNE AND ALPHYS DATE NO THIS CAN'T HAPPEN CANON ALREADY DID IT TO LEO I WON'T DO IT TO DONNIE" so I guess we have to alter some Undertale storylines for this to work properly without. Total Weirdness and Grossness.

For Rise though it- it'd be totally different I think. Firstly Cass is obviously Undyne. Secondly Big Mama is Mettaton. Thirdly I think April needs to be Sans, the unexpectedly powerful and very protective figure. I'm feeling Raph for Papyrus? I guess that make Leo Frisk and Mikey is probably Monster Kid. I don't wanna default Donnie to Alphys again, especially since once more Doesn't Match With Who's Replacing Undyne, but I think the only other real option would be Draxum, and he might work better as Gaster. THen again I can see Donnie designing a bunch of elaborate traps as an attempt to bond with Leo as like, a canon thing tbh. "Oh brother, I feel our familial ties have become strained as of late! Come with me on this totally normal walk through the sewers that are not rigged with killer robots I can save you from!"

God this one is a mind twister of a role assignment puzzle! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!
