Phillip was popular.

because really. This is the guy who managed to dupe the whole Isles into mostly falling in line for him. This is the dude who’s a chronic manipulator. This is the dude who basically talked his way into becoming the Emperor! He’s charismatic. He knows how people work. He knows how to talk to them.

So tell me this kid wasn’t the one who everyone liked! Paired with the devout religiousness and the penchant for conformity, he was probably the village darling! He was the kid who would let all the old ladies pinch his cheeks and would sit in the front row at church.

Bonus- Caleb was the social outcast. Of course he would turn to the demon realm- he was seen as a strange weirdo, and isn’t it such a shame that Phillip is being taken care of by that odd witch?

I like when people make TOH AU's where Caleb is the Emperor instead of Philip but with him being undeniably WORSE than Belos cuz Caleb is a blank canvas and I think that making him really evil is actually very cool.

Other cool thing about this kind of AU's is when the Grimwalker Philip is just canon Philip in a teenager and without having reached the point of no return but he is allowed to learn, grow and stop being evil and all that.

Here we go!!!! Chapter 20 is now live!!!

This chapter cemented Jayce as my absolute favorite OC~ also he sort of went through a slight personality's change while writing this chapter, but I love this version of him!!! This chapter sets up 21 and 22, we're almost to the end of the heavy angst~ you all get to breathe soon, I promise!

Also, this chapter marks the halfway point. We are halfway done with this story, and I can't believe it!!! This feels unreal, I'm kinda sad knowing it's ending in 20 more chapters. I wish I could keep it going forever, but that is what a sequel and prequel is for!
