Favourite episode of leverage?
I have thought about this so much you have no idea. Bankshot Job.
It has everything. Job in a job, early example of the ot3 working together, great Nate/Sophie episode, "sometimes the bad guys are the only good guys you get", sets up the fbi aliases + mcsweetheart and whats-his-face reoccurring thing, eliot beats up some meth heads (and says "we'd be the calvary" which gets references SEASONS later in the San Lorenzo job), Nate even gets shot! It's got everything!!

Do you have a tutorial for how you do hair bc it’s literally so gorgeous ;-;
Thank you :D
Hoo boy let's go
To be honest, I don't really have a specific way for how I draw hair, but I'll try to explain the process as simply as I can.
I usually do a hairline first
Base sketch/shape of hair
Adjusting, adding strands of hair, cleaning the sketch
That's also where I tend to change shapes and readjust the overall face
With line art done - adding color
Shading, I recently started doing this type of shadows, which makes the hair pop out
Adding single strands and then like a "main shadow" of sorts on a multiply layer

Something that caught my attention while reading Lackadaisy
Consider the Savoys: Brutal, threatening antagonists with a voodoo mystique. Solid foils in their own way to both Rocky and Mordecai and probably others, worth examining elsewhere. But what really gets me about them is how the narrative lens that surrounds them helps set them up as villains you love to see lose.
All of which is to say: You ever notice how they're just about the only characters with substantial screentime that are not suffering?
The Lackadaisy crew's struggling with loss, poverty, and a half dozen unique layers of fear and trauma each. Mordecai's half-mad trying to deal with Atlas' death in his own way. Wick's hardly got anyone to take him seriously. List continues. The comic feels heavy and tragic and every time one of our characters hits more misfortune, or stoops to some new low, we feel it with them. It's one of the comic's greatest strengths, the degree to which the audience can empathize with the characters as they go through their pain. We're there with them, hoping, wishing things could be better, suffering every individual time it isn't.
But Nicodeme and Serafine Savoy: Thriving. They make effective villains in Lackadaisy specifically because they're excused from that pattern of narrative empathy. Their backstory is perhaps the only moment in any Lackadaisy media where they aren't having an absolute ball. They'll probably die young, and they know it, and laugh at it, and when the end comes they'll probably still be laughing.
It makes me feel an odd sort of jealous, on behalf of the rest of the cast. It's like watching fucking Ferris Bueller, if he was all about sex, drugs, and murder, just dance his way clean through a greek-style tragedy. Like, wait a minute, the world's supposed to be cold, punishing, relentless, but these shitheads are just doing whatever they want and getting away with it. They can't keep getting away with it! Can they???
And because we've got that angle, we've got the perfect recipe for villains here. We get to hate them and hope our heroes give 'em hell, because they're just about the only people around where a dose of comeuppance is going to make us feel good instead of just more sad. They can take it, both as characters and as narrative elements, and I just appreciate the narrative setup involved in setting them up in this way. We get characters, we get bad guys, we get dominoes to knock down guilt free.

the first couple were done on my phone but after that I forced myself to actually pull out my drawing tablet and force myself through the learning curve because I wanted to get into digital art and even if the results weren't great they would be there and I would improve as I learned and the rest is history and I am so glad that I did that.
2022 has been a great year for art for me and I'm looking forward to challenging myself even more in 2023!

please tell me there’s good and richness of life yet to be discovered in adulthood
cried for the first time about packing up/cleaning out my childhood room. found all those old shirts and tributes to jacksepticeye, who was a huge part of my growing up. i reflected on it for a while, staring at a big ceramic eye i painted green. do i throw it away?
as i lied hopelessly on the floor, like i do to handle every crisis, a little voice in my head chided, “this is it. childhood is over, and it’s all work from here. did you make the most of it, or did you take it for granted?” it sounds silly and cliche but
please tell me there’s more
