pro palestine protest today in London and suddenly nobody is allowed to wear anything that "conceals their identity" in certain parts of central London and the excuse of "based on evidence" it's so clear this is just racial profiling and islamophobia and a gateway for police harassment and even when asked about masks the pigs are still trying to cover their trail. ok fascist police state

don't worry guys, it's just antizio-- oh wait, the Met officer literally said the Jewish man would be arrested for the crime of [checks notes] being Jewish in the street and that being Jewish could cause the Hamasniks to turn violent, so the Jewish man would be held responsible for disrupting the peace. also apparently it's OK for pro-Palestine protestors to threaten and vow to follow visibly Jewish people around for no other crime than being Jewish in a public space, and not get called out/arrested by the police in the UK.
BUT DON'T WORRY GUYS, IT'S JUST ANTIZIONISM 🤪

Arrests of coronation protesters were ‘premeditated’, says Republic chief
Police criticised after arrests included women’s safety campaigners handing out rape alarms
Kevin Rawlinson, Mon 8 May 2023 13.19 BST
The arrests of anti-monarchy protesters during the coronation was a premeditated attempt to “disrupt and diminish” their republican demonstration, a leading activist has said.
Graham Smith, the head of the group Republic, said the Metropolitan police’s decision to break up Saturday’s planned protest before it began trampled over their rights, adding the group had been in conversation with Scotland Yard for months beforehand.
Asked if he thought his arrest before the event was premeditated, Smith said: “Absolutely. I have no doubt about that at all, simply because there was nothing that we did do that could possibly justify even being detained and arrested and held.”
He said his organisation had engaged with the police throughout the planning of its demonstration, with officers saying until the day before that they had no concerns.
“They were well aware of what we were going to do and [said] they would engage with us and not disrupt us. So they have repeatedly lied about their intentions. And I believe that they had every intention of arresting us prior to doing so,” he said.
Ken Marsh, the chair of the Metropolitan Police Federation, said police acted “without fear or favour” and had to act within the context they found on the ground.
He said: “Protesting can take place in this country. But it’s the level to which you want to perform that protesting that we have to balance.”
[Inserted video of protesters being arrested at the coronation, captioned: Head of UK's leading anti-monarchy movement among several arrested at coronation protest.]
He dismissed concerns about heavy-handed policing as “pontificating”, insisting that police had done an “incredible job” on a day when the world’s eyes were on the UK. “Not one incident took place. And this went off around the world without any need to worry about what happened that day.”
Rishi Sunak backed the police on Monday, saying: “The police are operationally independent of government, they will make these decisions based on what they think is best.
“Actually I’m grateful to the police and everyone who played a part in ensuring that this weekend has gone so well, so successfully and so safely. That was an extraordinary effort by so many people and I’m grateful to them for all their hard work.”
full article here
so tl/dr: the anti-monarch group communicated with the police for months and were assured that they were allowed to protest, and then on the day, they were immediately arrested.
the mass arrests are being framed as a good thing because there were "no incidents" on the day.
the pm is backing the police on the choices made while also carefully separating himself from them on a structural basis, as if the government do not write the laws that the police are meant to follow.
do not let them brush this under the rug; do not fall for the propaganda that this was a good thing.
these laws take away the human right to protest. they unlawfully arrested 64 people. they have essentially made thought crime illegal with the ability for police to arrest anyone if believed they are conspiring to disrupt the peace.
they called the largest police operation in the history of the uk for this. the tories have been slowly edging the country into a police state for years now.
this should worry you. it should scare you. do not let them fool you into thinking this is normal.

Scotland Yard could be called in to investigate an alleged breach of the Princess of Wales’s private medical data.
The world-renowned London Clinic in Marylebone where the Princess of Wales underwent abdominal surgery in January, launched an investigation amid allegations staff attempted to access her private medical records.
After The Mirror’s world exclusive was picked up around the world this week, sources have said tonight that “up to three people” could be involved in the alleged accessing of Catherine’s medical records.
In a further bombshell, it can be revealed that the alleged breach took place after the future queen was discharged from hospital on January 29, as social media exploded with outlandish and hurtful conspiracy theories relating to her surgery.
Sources said the criminal investigation, described as “unprecedented” and now being run by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), could run alongside an additional probe by the Metropolitan Police.
Tumblr media
Accessing someone’s medical records without cause or consent can be a criminal offence.
If the ICO investigates and finds evidence that medical records were accessed illegally, it can take action, including prosecuting and fining the person responsible in court.
The development came amid a new statement from the CEO of the The London Clinic, who said:
“There is no place at our hospital for those who intentionally breach the trust of any of our patients or colleagues.”
A source said:
“This is such a unique case that a police investigation could run alongside one by the Information Commissioner's Office.
The IOC will deal with anything as a criminal matter, which could end up in a Magistrate’s Court, but if there were further claims of wrongdoing such as a conspiracy to distribute illegally accessed information, then that could be a matter for the police.”
Scotland Yard has also been urged to launch an immediate investigation, alongside the IOC probe, over fears of a potential royal blackmail plot.
Dai Davies, the former chief superintendent and head of the royal protection unit, said:
“Anyone accused of this most serious breach of trust should be interviewed under caution at the earliest opportunity.
The implications for the royal family are far and wide, and there must be a full probe by Scotland Yard to determine if any further crimes have been committed.”
Tumblr media
The Met Police said it had not yet received a referral, but Health Minister Maria Caulfield said today that she understood “police have been asked to look at it.”
Speaking to Sky News, she said it was "pretty serious stuff to be accessing notes that you don't have permission to."
She added:
"I say this as someone who's still on the nursing register, that the rules are very, very clear for all patients.
That unless you're looking after that patient, or they've given you their consent, you should not be looking at patients' notes.
So there are rules in place and the Information Commissioner can levy fines, that can be prosecutions, your regulator.
So as a nurse, my regulator would be the NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council), can take enforcement action….and can strike you off the register if the breach is serious enough.
So there are particularly hefty implications if you are looking at notes for medical records that you should not be looking at."
Tumblr media
Asked if the police should look into the matter, she said: "My understanding is that police have been asked to look at it - whether they take action is a matter for them.”
Fears that the King’s private medical information had also been compromised were dismissed tonight, after Charles spent three nights at the hospital during the same period as the Princess of Wales after undergoing an operation for an enlarged prostate.
Sources confirmed bosses at the hospital had informed Buckingham Palace that the alleged breach being probed did not involve the monarch.
Charles and Catherine were discharged separately just hours apart on January 29.
The King was subsequently diagnosed with “a form of cancer,” announced by Buckingham Palace on February 5.
Senior bosses at the hospital notified the IOC within 72 hours of the alleged breach of Kate’s records, in accordance with the watchdog’s guidelines.
Despite global speculation over the nature of the princess’s surgery, which has sparked wild conspiracy theories across social media and international news outlets, Kensington Palace has gone to great lengths to protect her privacy.
The palace said when Catherine was admitted that she would spend two weeks in hospital and not return to royal duties until after Easter as she continued her recovery at home.
Sources suggested the princess may decide to join the royal family on a scheduled walk to church on Easter Sunday, but no decision had yet been taken.
As the crisis intensified today following The Mirror’s revelations, Al Russell, the CEO at The London Clinic, added:
“Everyone at The London Clinic is acutely aware of our individual, professional, ethical and legal duties with regards to patient confidentiality.
We take enormous pride in the outstanding care and discretion we aim to deliver for all our patients that put their trust in us every day.
We have systems in place to monitor management of patient information and, in the case of any breach, all appropriate investigatory, regulatory and disciplinary steps will be taken.”
The General Medical Council (GMC), which regulates doctors, also said patients must have confidence that their personal information is protected "at all times."
A spokesman for the Prime Minister said:
“Clearly there are strict rules on patient data that must be followed. I think we all want to get behind the Princess of Wales and Prince of Wales and we wish her the speediest of recoveries.”

You know what really gets my goat about the Coronation protests that the Met Police went and broke up to 'protect the peace' right?
That one of their driving arguments for arresting a guy with an unused megaphone is that it would have scared the horses.
Little run down for y'all about how police horses are trained, and mounted cavalry horses used for the fucking Royal and shit like jubilees and coronations:
They are exposed to a shite load of stressors and desensitised to all of it.
On a yard I was at years ago, back when I was a teenager, there was a 19 hander ex-police horse that literally had to be locked in its stable with multiple bolt locks in case it ever tried to bolt because it wouldn't stop for nothing. This horse literally almost killed its owner because of the training it had received which meant it didn't stop for someone in front of it, didn't startle at loud noises, shouting, or fucking anything. If it started moving, it did not fucking stop until it chose to, met a wall it couldn't jump over, or someone was on its back and made it stop.
So that bullshit "scare the horses" line is piss water.
And do not, please, do not try and say "oh well, you don't know if all the horses used were trained" I LITERALLY DO BECAUSE NO HORSE IS USED BY THE POLICE AND MOUNTED CAVALRY IF IT DOESN'T PASS THE TRAINING THEY ALL RECEIVE.
Like, seriously. I cannot emphasise how much the argument here is utter fucking bullshit.
These horses are the ones you see outside Buckingham all fucking day. These horses are the ones present for the celebrations of weddings, funerals, jubilees, and coronations.
Not a one of those horses will spook from a megaphone. They won't react the way a horse normally would because they've been SPECIFICALLY TRAINED NOT TO.
So fuck that fucking bullshit line the Met Police are using to justify their blatant military fascism.

A reminder that the London Met Police have a history of systemic racism
The officer responsible for shooting Chris Kaba dead has been suspended, and Kaba’s parents are rightly calling for an investigation.
The family added: “We do not want any delay as has happened in other fatal shootings – otherwise we and the wider public can have no confidence that the police will be held to account.”
Meanwhile, “No.10 are refusing to comment on the issue right now, citing the national mourning period for the Queen.” The absolute cowards. People have been saying the “national mourning” would overshadow any other news during this period, and they were right.
The death Downing Street should be mourning is that of a young man whose life was cut short by the unjust systems they uphold.

I wonder why someone whose job is to shoot and kill a black man is put under scrutiny
For context this is the met police being pissy because the judge let the media report the name of the officer who’s being charged for murder (of said black man, Chris Kaba).
Also here’s a gem:

These nuns helped the homeless until they showed up on their doorstep
“Among the first things he did after securing the building was pin his details to the front door so that the owners could contact him to discuss the terms and length of their stay. A couple of days later, he got a call: it was Brian Kervick, property surveyor for the Union of the Sisters of Mercy of Great Britain (USMGB). The group was in luck, Bill thought ...
“A couple of months after Kervick called, the police paid a visit to AWS, saying they’d had information from the owners that the building was residential (UK squatting law permits the squatting only of non-residential buildings). After Bill explained that the building was in fact a mixed-use commercial building, the officers left, seemingly satisfied. The AWS organisers were therefore confused when, in late April, they got a letter from the Met, threatening them with arrest if they didn’t leave within 21 days ...
“After absorbing the shock of the letter, the shelter dealt with it in the way anarchists do best: by throwing a party. Last week, AWS hosted a packed schedule of events, from queer bash back (self-defence and de-escalation techniques) to parkour, culminating in a street party last Saturday. They toured locals around the building, dispelling myths about squatters and sharing the work they’d been doing ... The threat of eviction seems to have subsided for now: after a meeting with AWS organisers, Tower Hamlets mayor Lutfur Rahman wrote to the police telling them to back off ...
“As its name suggests, the Autonomous Winter Shelter has significantly outlived its own life expectancy. As residents brace for a court battle, the shelter is training them to be – as its name also suggests – autonomous: to scout and open squats of their own ...
“Relying on neither the church nor the state’s help, this group of anarchists is doing it for themselves; ‘we take care of us,’ says M. In fact, suggests Scribbles, ‘I think the government should look at us as a model for how stuff should be done.’”

Meanwhile, on Monday, an unarmed black man was shot dead by police in London.
