“Yes, ma'am,” Tony chuckled, “it was a lot of walking.”
She reached out to take Croo from Tony. The little mer's silver eyes half opened as he touched the water and his body shifted. He looked at the man and his kitsune companion and gave them a sleepy smile. "Toooniii~" he gave him a little wave before yawning and rolling against his mother with a satisfied smile on his lips.

waiting for a star to fall;
My second commission done for @blessingrose! This time of an AU where Haurchefant survives the happenings of The Vault, so her darling Chi decides to pay him a visit.
Thank you for commissioning me, again!
If Chi was being honest, he didn’t quite know if he liked Ishgard. It was similar to Ul’dah in a way despite the drastically different climates. In Ul’dah, he often got sick of the heat, the way his tan either darkened his skin overall or left uneven patches, and he was always sick of feeling sand in his shoes. In Ishgard, however, the icy air was biting, his lips would chap, and trekking through the snow was ridiculous.
But Ul’dah was missing one crucial factor that made Ishgard the better of the two: Haurchefant Greystone.
Haurchefant made Chi feel welcomed since his arrival to Ishgard, and upon meeting the Elezen, Haurchefant had this way of making Chi feel warm inside, even in the cold, vast lands of Coerthas. Be it the hot chocolate, the smile, or the lingering touches, Chi couldn’t decide what made the warmth in his chest spread to his cheeks.
Chi’s fingers were unsettled and his form in the absolute jitters. The healers and medics had told him that Haurchefant was in a stable condition, had been for the past two days, though visitors weren’t allowed; Edmont being the only exception.
The restless Miqo’te understood this, of course, but no amount of logic would keep him levelled into toning down his excitement to see Haurchefant. Just knowing that the Elezen was safe and no longer on the brink of death was a relief to him, but he needed some more concrete proof. Even though Edmont had gave his word that his son was alive and well, Chi wanted to see him. Needed to see Haurchefant himself. The fact that Haurchefant was that close to death? Chi had to sink his nails into his palms at the thought to prevent his tears from welling up.
“You can go in, he’s been asking for you.” The healer that stopped by for a check-up gave Chi the visiting permission he’d been pining for, and the feline’s quick feet make him near bolt through the doors into Haurchefant’s chambers.
The utter sight of the taller man looking so small as he slightly sat up in his large bed, light blue hair barely visible against the pristine, white pillow covers. He looked weak despite the bright smile on his face, and that broke Chi’s heart.
“Chi!” Haurchefant greets, though it lacked the vigorous, excited movement of his arms like in his normal greetings. The enthusiasm was still in his voice, though it was just laced with a slight hint of tiredness. “I was wondering when they’d let you and I finally see one another, again. How cruel of them to keep us apart for this long.”
A inwardly flustered, slightly flushed in the face Chi stood by the end of the bed, taking small puffs of breath as he tried to tame his nerves: Excitement, relief, anxiousness, and just the faintest seasoning of being moonstruck — Or perhaps he was lovestruck?
Chi was never awkward, normally always on his toes, eloquent and armed with an effortless charm that made eyelashes flutter and teeth sink into lower lips. So being all nervous like this in front of Haurchefant? That had to go.
“You need to recover quickly, Haurchefant.” Chi says suddenly, and the statement makes the other blink. The Miqo’te sat by the edge of the bed, careful not to pull on the covers too much to prevent the tediousness of readjusting for Haurchefant later on.
“I am aware. Laying helpless like this at the mercy of others to care for me is quite exhausting.”
“I imagine so.” Chi laughs, and with no hesitation, he gently places a hand over Haurchefant’s, fingertips gently brushing over the lightly bruised knuckles. Haurchefant doesn’t pull away, nor does he flinch. “Hey, let’s get hot chocolate when you’re better.”
“I’d be delighted! Ah, but why wait until after I’m better? We can ask for some now, yes?” The slight pondering expression and tilt of his head made Haurchefant look adorable. “Perhaps you could keep me company for awhile?”
“We can do that, but …” Chi shook his head. “What I’m asking is … Not the same. I’d like to have hot chocolate with you after … Dinner, perhaps. Maybe a stroll afterwards?”
Haurchefant gapes slightly, not necessarily having expected to see Chi so suave and straightforward while the poor Elezen lay bedridden. Still, the shock in his face was soon captured with delight shortly after. “And perhaps we could look up at the stars where they shine brightest in Ishgard?”
“Of course!” Chi nodded with a smile, fangs cheekily peeking out from past his lips. “But I think I’m staring at the brightest star in all of Ishgard right now.”
Haurchefant laughs and it fills the room like a sweet serenade in Chi’s ears, the line was cheesy, yes, but endearing all the same.
The stars aligning to bring two hearts together, and its then when the flames really ignite where this romance starts to heat up. Maybe some heat in Ishgard was just what Chi needed to proper like the place.
And what better way to heat things up than to keep each other warm in bed?

I'm happy to present my not so original AU - Ladybug: Into the BugVerse. In this plotline Ladybug dies during the fight. Chat and Queen Bee, who were there with her, have a fight. Chat accuses Queen Bee that it happened because of her desire to be on the main spot, therefore, it ruined the common dynamic. Queen Bee takes the Coccinelle miraculous in order to became the new Ladybug, but she can't leave Pollen, so asks the mermission to keep both Miraculouses. Master Fu agrees. Chat Noir disappears and Queen Bee (now Lady Queen) doesn't know how to deal with all responsibilities alone. She asks for help and Viperion promises to do his best to help her. From other universes arrive different alternative Ladybugs. Marinette Dupain-Cheng, secretly in love with Felix (basically the PV-version of Ladybug), Lady Rouge (in this storyline Marinette gave Alya the Coccinelle miraculous during origins), Tikki (who doesn't reveal her owner) and Firebug (Adrien Agreste, who received the Coccinelle miraculous). They all teach Chloe how to be the main hero and how to take care of responsibilities. In the end, Lady Queen, Viperion and Chat Noir become a trio and protect Paris together. Thanks for coming to my TED-talk :'D

Aqui novamente...
O futuro incerto nem me lembre disso

“It does,” Laurel agreed, heart still racing, though that might of had something to do with being in his arms again.
~
“This is Croo, but I still don’t know why we're here,” he chuckled.
Still laughing softly his bent to nuzzle her cheek "My Sweet Little Flower."
~
The mer was struggling to tear his gaze from the delightfully shiney pieces on her display. "Iss... TooOoni~" He patted the man making the wolf look amused "Yes he is. We've had the pleasure of meeting before." That made Croo look at her and him more closely. Not seeing what he was looking for he tugged the Faelain away.
Okami barked a laugh and waved them goodbye.

the word of the father (savage);
FFXIV commission for @blessingrose of Magnai Oronir and her character, Nogai Dhoro!
Thank you so much for commissioning me!
Love conquers all, or so the saying goes. Love clearly never met Nogai Dhoro.
If he was being honest, he had somewhat suppressed any signs that indicated that Victorine and Magnai were flirting at first, denied any insistence from both Chi and even Nerine that things were blooming in the Steppe, and just shut his eyes at any other signs of romance between the pair. Victorine was Magnai’s Nhaama all along, and this was one of the things Nogai had never thought he would have witnessed in his lifetime. Aside from the many phenomenal sights that he had seen during the adventures with the Warrior of Light, of course.
But Magnai had asked (or yelled at) Victorine for her hand in marriage, and Nogai had some words to say about that. Unfortunately, no one told Nogai that being a parent would be easy. This was real. This was actually happening. Nogai hasn’t properly digested it, but that didn’t matter. Even as he stood there in disbelief and shock, the world would keep turning.
When night fell over the Steppe, Nogai stood with his arms crossed and staring something fierce at Magnai, catching him just as the egotistical bastard was about to stand up from his throne, and right before he went to retire to his chambers.
“Care to spare a moment, khan?” The purest of antidotes couldn’t suck out the venom in Nogai’s spiteful pronunciation of Magnai’s title. The younger of the two narrowed his gaze, though lifted a hand to cease the interference of Baatu, who was more than ready to spit words at the exiled Dhoro.
With Baatu and Daidukul both dismissed, that left Nogai glaring daggers at the self-proclaimed Sun, whose own gaze was anything but friendly.
“What is it?” For Victorine’s benefit, Magnai thought, he could at least attempt some form of politeness.
“You want to marry Victorine.”
Magnai’s brow lifted. “Correction: I am marrying her.”
Nogai’s scoff was a cruel sound, and Magnai’s already slim patience thinned further. “Here are the facts, Magnai. Victorine can make her own decisions, and while I’m not always on board with them, nor do I even agree with them, it does not matter; She wants to be with you, and I cannot stop her.”
Though he’d never admit it out loud (aside from perhaps rambling it to Nerine sometimes in their pillow talk), Nogai was awfully fond of Victorine, almost caring for her to the extent of a daughter — So when it was found out that she was Magnai’s Nhaama, Nogai was just a bit displeased. He knew better, however, that it was more so a sense of pettiness that was causing this … Distaste.
“Is there a point that you’re trying to make?” The man that sat on the throne grew more tense and irate by the second, shifting erratically in his seat.
“Patience.” As if Nogai was one to give a lecture on such a topic.
“So what, pray tell, is your point?”
“You will be a good husband. Loyal, faithful, and caring. You and I, and every-damn-body in the Steppe know how badly you have been searching for your Nhaama.” Magnai made a slight face at that, though the words really weren’t wrong, which perhaps what made them sting a little bit more. Still, why exactly was Nogai giving him orders? “If you ever hurt her in any way, I will make sure you experience that same pain, only tenfold. And I have no intentions to wait for the next Naadam to put you in your place.”
The Oronir Elder didn’t blink for a moment, keeping his stare set on Nogai; A man who was dismissed by his own tribe, Magnai assumed that Nogai’s mentally was set given he had nothing left to lose here in the Steppe. “Surely you jest, Dhoro.”
Nogai opened his mouth to spout more fighting words, though was cut off.
“If you think I would do anything of the sort to ruin this, especially intentionally, you are gravely mistaken.”
It was a surprisingly sound response, Nogai had to admit, given he was expecting a more childish outburst. He was not going to let Magnai see him be impressed from his expression, however. It was a pride thing. “Then I see we won’t be having a problem.”
A silence fell over, and neither said anything for a relatively long while.
“So,” Magnai started suddenly, his head tilting to the side a bit. “Does that mean I have your blessing?”
Nogai gave pause, giving a soft ‘hmpf’ in acknowledgement. Neither a confirmation or a denial. Had someone told Nogai Dhoro five Summers ago that he’d be in this position, he would have snorted. Yet here he was, facing the day every father dreaded the most: Letting his baby girl go.

a nightmare away;
A commission for @letsgetonwithit of her lovely Lieve Gelinas, my Victorine Soleil, and a cameo by Haurchefant Greystone!
Thank you for commissioning me!
She feels familiar, gentle hands trail along her skin, gentle gripping on her wrists before his hands hold onto hers, fingers meshing together since they long knew this dance. The sound of the waves were calm and lulling, and Lieve is at peace at the familiarity of all this. Haurchefant’s head lowers, and Lieve’s eyes close as she readies for receiving a kiss. His lips hovering above hers, she feels his breath before she hears, “Why did you let me die?”
Lieve jolts awake in a cold sweat, hot tears already at the brim of her lids. There’s a shift in the bed, and the still panicked Lieve flinches greatly when she feels someone touch her.
“It’s me, it’s just me.” The voice was female, and the hand that rests on Lieve’s arm is dainty. The dim glow of the candle on the bedside highlighted Victorine’s features enough for Lieve to let out a relieved sigh, though her tears began to stream down almost immediately in both heartbreak and relief. Victorine had been sleeping in Lieve’s bed since Haurchefant’s death, insisting on doing so she could ensure her friend wasn’t alone should she awake in the middle of the night. Just like right now on this stormy night. “It was just a bad dream, Lieve. A nightmare.”
“But it felt so real.” Lieve’s voice is small and strained through her sobs, the sniffles muffling her speech even more, though Victorine stayed close and could understand all the same. Lieve held onto the smaller woman, staining Victorine’s pyjamas with her tears. “And it’s true, it’s my fault– Haurchefant died for me. Because of me.”
Victorine shushes Lieve through her stammers, fingers running through the long, pinkish hair and twirling the locks around. “That’s not true, and you know it.”
“It is, though. Had I been more careful … He wouldn’t have …” Another sob, and Lieve clutches onto Victorine in their hug like a lifeline. “This is my punishment — I couldn’t protect him, so Haurchefant shows up in my dreams to remind me that I didn’t even get to say goodbye.”
The sound of Victorine’s deep breathing and Lieve’s muffled, desperate sobs are the only thing that’s heard in the room. The occasional murmur of ‘my fault’ was heard beneath Lieve’s breath, her voice strained and tired. She was so tired.
“When my mother died, I wondered ‘what happened to goodbye?’ Was I unworthy of a farewell?” Victorine spoke suddenly, her hand rubbing Lieve’s back in a coaxing manner. “Then I thought she was haunting me in my dreams, just like what you’re experience with Haurchefant; It was like the Gods were taunting me for stealing the one thing I had left.” Victorine had never sounded so wistful or sad, Lieve thought. The Hyur’s hand still holding onto Lieve’s with a bit of a tightness, as if to assure the Elezen that this was reality, and that Victorine was present and here. She would always be here. “But then I realized that there’s no need for goodbyes, not when people like Haurchefant live on in our hearts.”
Victorine pulls away, moving to cup Lieve’s tear-stained cheeks, and rubbing away at it with her thumbs.
“I feel so alone, and empty, Victorine.” Lieve smacked a hand at her chest, right over her heart for emphasis. “It aches, and I’m so sad, and heartbroken.”
“I know.” Victorine said softly, pressing a soft kiss against Lieve’s temple in consolation, letting the Elezen cry her eyes out until exhaustion would take her. “But you have me, for whatever it is worth, I won’t leave you.”
No words of comfort would ever let this pass, not this early in Lieve’s grieving, anyway. The Dragonsong War was cruel, Victorine thought to herself; There were no songs for the dead, dying, and departed to help heal, no songs in celebration of life to help move on. Some songs are just meant to break a heart each time they are heard.
