I mentioned Patreon in one chap, and then they blocked all the fics that so much as mentioned Tumblr or even YouTube. Like- what??? I get sending me an email to tell me to take out the mention of my Patreon, but why did they block some of my stories for mentioning the other two sites? XD

Anyways, I'm trying to get it back up, but AO3 is pretty much ghosting me rn. I paused in posting to Patreon for a bit while dealing with this and issues in my personal life, but I will be making speedy posts there soon to make up for the long wait!

so. successfully defended my master's. I have some a bunch of revisions to do for my written thesis before I officially have a master's, but I'm very nearly done with it.

I'll be doing research over the summer, but it's not nearly as fast-paced as normal semesters are, and this was a semester in turbo mode. And boy I certainly felt it. I should have a week or so before this semester is officially over, then I'll be able to finish up my thesis and have more time/energy for writing.

I know I've said that updates would be slower than normal this academic year (this semester, especially) and y'all have been very patient with me, so thanks so much. I've still got another draft/revisions to go, but I'm hoping I'll be able to get back to normal Hannah writing mode because I miss averaging 500-1000 words a day lmao

They laugh as they prance joyously in their festive robes. Narinder smiles softly, but it slowly fades as he turns back to the task at hand. He slips the bag off his shoulder. Narinder sets out the candles first, two on each pedestal. Then the offerings: flowers for Leshy, mushrooms for Heket, crystals for Kallamar, silk for Shamura. He lights the candles, then uncorks a bottle of straw wine. Typically, he and the Lamb drink high-quality sacral wine. But tonight only sugary, cheap straw wine will do. He sits in front of them on the carefully laid flagstone. The Crowns are illuminated by candles, all staring down at him with unseeing eyes. They’re fixed, unmoving… lifeless without their bearers. “To our health,” he says sarcastically, lifting the bottle in a toast.

As a reflection of his country and values, Alfred can be pretty traditional. He wants to be the provider and usually succeeds at being one. Moreover, he has internalized some stereotypes about men and women. The bottom line is that he’s self-aware and tries to not let them get to him.

Allen is the opposite of that. He isn’t fixated on material wealth, and doesn’t fit the bill for what men are expected to be like—more capable, ‘logical,’ and of course, the breadwinner. But if it’s to support a sibling or significant other, he will try to be those things. Unfortunately, he isn’t good at it, and he knows that. Allen therefore has no reason to believe men are better than women, and surrounding himself with capable women (e.g Amy) only nails it in.

Depending on the AU, he can even be prejudiced towards men. Not having other male role models and being protective of his loved ones can easily lead to that, such as in One more night.

Bright. It was bright. It had been so, so dark and now it was so, so bright. Why was it so bright? She cracked open her eyes. Bright. Blurry. Sunlight. Water. Humid air. Blue eyes. “…Jack?” A sharp inhale. “Oh, darling. I’m so, so sorry.” “Momma?” She was being crushed. Her tummy hurt. Momma was sniffling. “But where’s…where’s Jack?” She tightened her hold. She didn’t reply. This was wrong. It was bright out. Too bright. But it wasn’t the right kind of bright. She closed her eyes tightly. Opened them again. Squinted. It was bright. Way too bright. Artificial bright. She groaned, turning her head to the side. Blue eyes. “…Jack?” “Jacqueline?” On the edge of his seat, Jack watched as Jacqueline’s eyes finally opened—only to immediately shut tight once more as she winced at the bright light. She groaned. Wrinkled her nose. Her eyes popped open again, blues meeting blues. She blinked. Smiled. “You are here.” “Welcome back, little flurry.”

It’s been almost a year since Jack Frost thawed and things are looking…well, not so great. Jack’s powers are seemingly gone. Without them, the Dome that keeps the North Pole safe from the cold and its magic controlled is melting, putting everything and everyone magical at risk. Unable to hide his power shortage any longer, Jack is forced to admit the truth. Thankfully, there is a solution: enacting the Legate Law, bringing Jack and the sister that he hurt so many centuries ago back together again. But when Jacqueline starts experiencing destructive blackouts, the pair are forced to head back home to Crystal Springs, bringing Jack face to face with the rest of the family. Needless to say, between getting his powers back, helping his sister figure out what in the FROST those blackouts even were, reconciling with his parents, meeting the two even younger siblings he didn’t even KNOW he had, NOT TO MENTION the ancient threat that’s had it out for the ENTIRE Frost family finally making a move? Saving Christmas (regrettably) is looking to be a little bit…complicated.

And there we have it! After way too many years, Crystal Springs is done! Again again! TBH it's probably a GOOD thing I paused halfway through rewriting--my writing has gotten muchas better and I don't think the story would be as lovely as it is now if I HADN'T taken a huge long ass pause from round 2 for a haute minute!

Kept the sillies but made them FLOW better

Since Fino got a whole ass bonding scene with Jack a couple chapters back, the Elfirmary scene went to Fiera instead, and it is LOVELY. It worked out well! She surprised me a BUNCH!

Lucy is in character now :) Love to see it :)
