I’ve made posts about it but I’ve always said Alfred is the American Dream and all about appearances.

There’s a huge cognitive dissonance between his successful image and his own corruption. He looks so good and charms anybody’s pants off but he has so many personal shortcomings that he can never be ‘the one.’ I don’t dislike him at all, he’s a great character that can get the ball rolling in a lot of genres. He is an archetype that will be used again and again because he is just that fucking timeless

I wouldn’t be close to Alfred. Maybe some people can run with him, but I’m very selective with my company. As for the other two, I’d probably be friends with them. Allen needs to learn that he can be loved unconditionally, and Mathias needs to stop flying so close to the sun. I wouldn’t say it to them outright, but I’d hope they can see that eventually!

Mathias and Allen could both be given the heart underwear as a gag gift. Mathias wears it without thinking much of it (he thinks it’s cute), while Allen wears it in secret because he doesn’t have a lot of underwear. Then, he denies he wears it but it turns up in the washing anyway. But somewhere down the track, he stops caring and starts owning it 🤫

Losing the try not to yap challenge (IMPOSSIBLE) so bad right now 😔 But I was just wondering how long have you been writing for? What’s your process for it? Every time I try I get all bashful and shi 💔

Maybe seven years now. I unfortunately don’t have much of a process to speak of, I just wasn’t afraid to be cringe when I first started 😅 I’m not saying I wasn’t cringe, I just didn’t really give a shit

I was too excited to write about what I wanted to read, and that has been the core of everything since. Write about what matters to you and what interests you, and things will come naturally. It’ll be hard at first, but once you get past the initial embarrassment you’ll be proud of what you can do.

I’m also quite the pantser and don’t do any planning at all. The way I work things out is to just keep writing, and when I have more scenes to work with I can piece it all together. I never try to attempt to get the big picture at the start because there isn’t much of a picture to begin with. So I would try to focus on what the point is of the scene you are immediately writing. Then keep doing that again and again until the end 😊 Trust the process and you will do great.
