Hi Marie :) forgive me if you’ve already made a post about this at some point but I’m fairly new here. Due to recent events (aka insta posts and comments) I’m wondering do you know and can perhaps explain to me what the significance of all the sunset/sun/moon/sky pictures is? If there is one at all? And I'll try my best to answer this, but a little disclaimer I am no lore expert so I may not know/forgot something.

That being said, let's start with some background info:

Mile and Apo chose and performed two very interesting songs on stage as Kinn and Porsche for the Kinnporsche World Tour 2022/2023.

First: 'Fly me to the moon'

Second: 'The moon represents my heart'

Both iconic queer songs about the moon.

And additionally in some Asian countries the phrase "Isn't the moon beautiful?" is another way to say I love you.

Ok back to Mile & Apo themselves:

There is reason to believe the sky/moon has a special meaning to them personally as well.

The most famous story: When both of them were in different parts of Thailand in December 2022, Apo even wrote poetry about it:

Though Apo (and Mile) like sky pictures in general, we see those sunset/night sky/moon pictures mostly when they are in different parts of the country/world.

The importance of Weselton and "Frozen 3".

"Queen Anna has a lot on her plate. She has welcomed Disa, the Queen of the small neighboring nation and her people to Arendelle when their kingdom is flooded. Disa is eager to learn about the scientific nature of magic.

Also in Arendelle is Lord Wolfgang, the Duke of Weselton’s nephew, on an apology tour for his uncle’s behavior. He very much wants to secure Queen Anna’s forgiveness and hopes to convince the people of Arendelle of the merits of trade with Weselton.

When a mysterious fire happens at the castle and the Spirits of Nature start acting up Elsa, Anna, and Disa travel to the Enchanted Forest to uncover the cause, where they discover mysterious steam-powered copper machines: automatons.

Where do the automatons come from and what are they doing? Who is directing them? Most importantly, how do Elsa, Anna, and Disa stop them from upsetting the natural balance of the Enchanted Forest and Arendelle?"

It's curious how Disney seems to like this character or rather how it likes any character other than the movie's villain, aka Hans.

Even the butler Kai had more prominence in the post "Frozen 1" than the sociopathic prince if you exclude "Disney Magic Kingdoms" which seems to be the only place that fans of the Northuldra tribe and Hans can see their characters being developed ("Polar Nights" had mentions of the tribe perhaps confirming certain events in the mobile game regarding ElsaMaren). But at least fans of the Northuldra tribe can argue that Disney only works seriously with the tribe when it has some Sami involved, Hans fans at the moment can tell that the prince is still doing the same thing he was doing "Frozen Fever " or that it was teleported into "Big Hero 6" (with that crossover from "Tangled" to "Frozen" looking like it's become canon I don't doubt that crossover will too if the prince remains absent).

But the Duke really is becoming almost a case in point. He is very present in the Frozenverse, having several encounters with the sisters and visits to Arendelle, and besides this mention where he talks about a nephew (I don't think it's the same nephew from the podcast, but who knows. Mari Mancusi has already rescued characters from the comics to include in the books so if someone looked at this illustrated book and decided to include the Duke's nephew in the podcast making the relationship between them less complicated I won't be surprised).

Also included were other Weselton members such as Leopold and Lutz.

I really don't care about Hans, but even I, who consider myself an admitted hater of the sociopathic prince, find this whole situation strange. Hans has twelve siblings, a background we so far don't know because he's hated by his siblings and parents (as I find bullying for being the youngest a very simple reason, I'd bet Hans is secretly a bastard child), and his own father is considered a being perhaps even more despicable than the youngest son himself. But does Disney prefer to create relatives of the Duke of Weselton instead.

Duke of Weselton was the villain that Disney decided to use when they decided to drop Hans from the plans. Probably because the Duke is comic relief which makes him more cartoonish and less real as some have argued would be the reason for Disney's prejudice towards Hans.

And I still can't consider that this podcast would be the "Forest of Shadows" from "Frozen 3" as some are considering, a prologue to the movie. The KristAnna engagement will take place in the Anthology, due to the date the podcast will come earlier, perhaps it will give a teaser of what we can expect from the future (I hope for the plot involving machines). And Kristoff's book as far as we know will only talk about Kristoff and maybe reveal his whole past.

Before "Frozen 3" I still believe that there will be something more relevant, but nothing happens after the KristAnna wedding (if I already think that Disney extends too much the night that happened the accident involving Elsa's magic, those months between F2 and the KristAnna wedding will be extended 3x times). Disney is not going to miss the opportunity to promote the wedding on film (even if the film takes place 3 years after the wedding) or in a short film.

A new book or even a podcast? Just not being another series focused on Olaf for me will be interesting. And preferably without other relatives of the Duke who I'm starting to get tired of reading and hearing the word Weselton.

I’m very very new to the always sunny fandom and I stumbled across a post of yours about macdennis and your prefaced it with saying rob is a loser and people in the tags were agreeing/saying they’re a rob hater and hate to give him praise/credit. My question is, why does everyone hate rob? Is it because of the offensiveness of the show or something else? When I say new I mean like this week new so I really don’t know anything about the actors/creators. Thank you very much for any information you can give me, it’s greatly appreciated. ❤️

omg hi!!! welcome! sunnyblr is by far the best fandom i ever been a part of. i hope you have as much fun as i do.

something very unique about sunny is how integral the creators are to the lifeblood of the show. rob, charlie, and glenn (rcg) are not simply it's creators, they are the show themselves. sunny was born out of rcg's desire to give themselves the opportunities they wish they were being offered. before sunny, none of them had any major roles or been a part of a hit production. and so they a created a show, written by them, starring them with themselves being the target audience. and it has turned into the longest running live-action sitcom on television, with one of the most passionate and involved fanbases (i can not stand the sunny sub reddit but no one can deny their love for the show).

beyond rcg themselves, sunny is an important part of the lives of their closest family and friends. rob met kaitlin olson, the actress who plays dee, on the show and they are married now. charlie's wife, mary elizabeth ellis, plays the waitress, and jimmi simpson, his old roommate, plays liam mcpoyle. david hornsby, one of the funniest people alive and the actor who plays rickety cricket, was very close friends with rob, glenn, and charlie long before the show started and is also one of the head writers for the show.

also, and, this isn't quite relevant to the rest of this response, but if you do continue down the sunny rabbit hole, you will find that six names repeatedly pop up in terms of episode writers: rob mcelhenny, charlie day, glenn howerton, david hornsby, scott marder, and rob rosell. you will also notice that during seasons 13 & 14, arguably sunny's weakest seasons, glenn howerton, scott marder, and rob rosell were absent from the writer's room, which really speaks to how enmeshed sunny and it's writers are.

ok so here is the thing about rob... i've written about this before but rob is both overwhelmingly confident and deeply insecure, which are two sides of the same coin. funny enough, i think rob would be the first person to agree with me on this statement. he's said many times that he knows he walks around with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove. most times, this attitude works in his favor. he is passionate, determined, and persistent, and every person in his life will speak to how great of a leader and friend he is.

but sometimes, I find it very easy to get frustrated with rob because he will say something and I will be hit with how much he has become the hollywood he was originally very critical about. with charlie and glenn, there is less of the feeling that hollywood "got" them. he is also the most defensive about sunny's use of blackface (& other racial caricatures), a decision I already vehemently dislike made worse by rob's attitude of "whoops, just a little mistake we made."

but then again, he has given one of the most nuanced and heartbreakingly real portrayals of a gay man in television, while also still being very funny in the process. in another of his shows, mythic quest, the only romantic pairing in the entire show is a lesbian couple, who get together very early on and avoid the stereotypical catty behavior seen in most tv lesbian couples.

so my feelings on rob are very mixed. on one hand, i am in awe of his creative talent & artistic direction and grateful for his fight for better queer representation. on the other, he can be so irritating i find myself wanting to bang my head against the table.

So, I started a cleaning job where I don't have to talk to anyone, which is lovely, but it also meant I started listening to audiobooks, and I've started listening to some book series I've been hearing about here and there, and the latest was The Raven Cycle. Why? Because you posted about it. You are literally the only person on my dashboard to post about it, but the few ones I have seen over the last months? years? have been enough for me to be assured in it having queer rep, being well written, and potentially worth my time. And yeah, it very much was, cause now I'm kinda hooked on it, like not just Adam/Ronan, tho very much them as well, but Maggie even got me caring about a straight couple with Gansey/Blue, cause she just writes such beautiful and unique characters!!! And anyway, besides asking you if you have some favourite AO3 recs (Don't even care much about the ship, as long as it's with these characters) I come having finished The Raven King a week ago, and now humbly but also very desperately asking, do you have any other book recommendations like TRC for me to listen to?? (Oh, and maybe also whether or not the dreamer triology will be just as good? Cause I'm curious about it having Ronan in focus, but more than the story, it's the characters that got me hooked on TRC, and like Maggie Stiefvater's writing style, but yeah I'm unsure how much of Adam there is in the trilogy, and the new characters, are they just as intriguing??)

the Dreamer Trilogy has its pros and its cons. if does significantly shift the focus of the narrative away from the established group, so if the Gangsey found family dynamic is a really big factor in your enjoyment and you don't want to be without it, you'll be disappointed by TDT because the rest of the gang simply isn't present 😭 it's very much Lynch-(and new characters)-focused.

Ronan is the main character and gets the most screen time, but honestly, Declan steals the show in that series. people can go into TDT Declan haters and come out of it with rabid Declan brain rot afdkjgh, i for one am obsessed with him. Matthew gets a real arc too, which i love for him. Adam doesn't have a huge role but he is around and relevant. i am IN LOVE with some of the new characters, and Maggie got us again with the straights!!! she makes us fucking YEARN WITH THE STRAIGHTS, on par with Bluesey imo, the new canon ship destroys me ok??

i will say that TDT doesn't feel as cohesive and satisfying in the overall narrative structure sense, compared to TRC. there are some things about it that confuse/frustrate me or don't make sense if you look at it too closely 😅 but there's so much really interesting compelling character/relationship work that it makes up for it, for me. i enjoyed TDT a lot, have read it multiple times, and will definitely read it again. it expands upon the world and lore, and i'm a sluuuut for complicated dysfunctional family dynamics so the Lynches get me good.

Now, I get that everyone has various opinions on 🎀. Some more extreme and some more generous. I'm personally on the middle. I think she's ridiculous and annoying. And yeah, I don't like her character at all because her creative writing potential is dwindling down the drain right now. Of course the game hasn't come out yet, but I think we can deduce what type of direction this will go. 🎀 Isn't real, yes, but her audience engagement is. Luffy isn't real, but we want his character to be the pirate king. Gus in berserk isn't real, but we want him to die and suffer so much. We even got skyler from breaking bad as the most hated character (well uh mostly for misogyny but I get why she's annoying but she shouldn't be there, we're talking about drug lords here).

If you can like a character so much, you can hate a character as well. I think that's a right. Frankly, I welcome myself to Tifa haters but their takes get automatically debunked anyway by factual evidence. The same can't be said for 🎀. In fact her factual evidences don't work on her favor. For example, her OG description is sus at best, her TOTP makes her appear privileged compared to the misfortunes the others casts has to experience. And while it's no oppression olympics, it does stand out like a sore thumb. Why do you think when people defend her they use one liners or essays instead of SSs?

Personal take? I think it's valid to hate her, she's being written like that, what are we supposed to do? Cope essays? Write essays like how c/eriffs does when there's no proof of HC? But okay, she isn't malicious, but she isn't naturally a good person either. There's a reason why she's described as selfish and entitled by people (tho some would say otherwise, but evidences don't agree). Her actions are written that triggers others. When cloud is uncomfortable, we get that too. I'm still hoping she doesn't become a mary sue. I want her to realize she's doing something wrong and apologize sincerely. When you make a mistake, you have to pay the price. This isn't about wanting her to suffer. That's stupid, she isn't real. This is wanting her to be properly written.

Going off how Nojima's consistently written her she'll never learn that her behaviour is rancid and she should keep her slimy hands to her damn self. Never seen a character so fucking obsessed with a dude who ain't interested, but that somehow doesn't make her a gross ass disgusting stalker who doesn't respect people.

Her fans are fucked.

The more I think about it, the more I think the antis truly are condemned to season 2 being the great Destiel chase. Earlier in the year, *both* Misha and Jensen confirmed in various M&Gs that Misha would be in it, in at least 2 different M&Gs. So unless it's wordplay (which i'm not discounting in Being In vs Coming Back per my prior post), this really does indicate that the flex script and show extension is arranging for that to be the primary plot ahead.

We know they're going back to the bus depot as well, so this may be a full circle re: I will always find you here etc.
