Guillermo, waist up, takes an instinctual step back, left fist rising up slightly in defense as he struggles to maintain his glare. The background is in focus behind him, the door getting closer. Low shot from the hallway outside Nandor's room as the door suddenly crashes open, Guillermo flying out backwards as if pushed and smashing into the opposite wall, snapping the legs on a hall table and sending books and candles flying everywhere. 3b. Low shot angled down the hallway as Guillermo slams into the floor on his stomach, table collapsing down the wall behind him. Blood spurts out between his clenched fangs as he bites his tongue on impact, new glasses flying off his face and bouncing to the floor. 3b. Zoom out to wide. There is a visible crash site against the wall where Guillermo was thrown, dust and drywall settling on him, the floor, and the smashed chunks of the table and its contents. Guillermo sits up on his hands and knees and slips his glasses back on, a trail of blood dribbling down his chin and one lapel pin snapped loose and dangling from his collar. He looks over toward Nandor's room only to see the door slam definitively shut, sending the chandelier rocking in the background. /end ID

Not going to lie, I’m surprised the fandom isn’t eating up the new tone shift and characters’ struggles in ep5. Maybe I’m not looking in the right spaces but fandoms usually love that stuff.

I KNOW I mean the amount of angst art that was made prior to the episode really made me think people were gonna take everything from the new ep and run with it. Though that's not to say people didn't. I've seen plenty of people discuss what happened in the episode (especially regarding John and his daughter/his family in general,, people were going insane over that and I get it like we're getting deeper into what happened to him and his family which I'm also super interested in. Plus seeing his photos in Ignacio's house really got people discussing his connections/past with the cult and how there's such a specific focus on John).

Listen, as someone who witnessed like 70% of an animation industry expo’s artist alley sell art related to various fandoms and as someone who’s been posting art online for a good decade now, there’s very little rules in what fandoms aren’t allowed in online art commissions (it’s more about being aware what’s sociably and culturally acceptable of the type of content in the commission)

But the general rules of thumb for doing commissions is:

-Draw What Makes You Happy (so if you wanna draw nothing but Balloon Boy commissions or whatever go for it; if you like it, you do you and people who like the same thing will pay for it)

-Let People Know Your Boundaries (because if you’re not comfortable drawing certain subject materials, you should not give into people asking for it because they’re paying you)

-Be Honest In Your Art ( ie tracing/copying/stealing from other artists and presenting it as your own art will make you very unlikable)

as a followup to my last post before the game came out, I recently finished Bomb Rush Cyberfunk- aside from some collectibles and 100%ing the whole game- and man. man. okay no you dont get it (unless you know jsr and the fans' history of begging for a new game or SOMETHING).

I think a lot of people I've seen in the brc/jsr tags agree that this is what we wanted. Team Reptile did in 3-4 years what sega couldnt do in 20+

the whole thing, the style, the graffiti and trick system, the ost, all holds up to jsr/jsrf's standards imo, it did not disappoint , even the plot held up and i didn't even expect much of a plot. It had a somewhat silly absurdity to it towards the end (not spoiling anything) but they made it fucking cool. (as did jsr/jsrf tho tbh)

literally my only criticism for the gameplay or anything is a skill issue that's my own damn fault or minor unproblematic bugs that could easily be patched.

this game in my opinion Fucking Delivered on the JSR/F experience while also standing on its own two legs as an original game. its not just "JSRF 2"

it has heart. it has soul

people made affectionate jokes that this game looks like it understands the concept of love.
