i was reading some thoughts/meta in the foggy nelson tag and i think people forget that the romance between karen and foggy was never explicitly stated or made clear by either character to each other or to the audience but is instead meant to be inferred by the audience then made clear/forced onto the characters by a third party. we're meant to infer it from the obvious attraction from foggy's side of the relationship and the slight tension or awkwardness between them, especially whenever mrs. cardenas mentions it. like the fact that neither of them address it is the point, it's supposed to be a crush and is never supposed to amount to a real romantic relationship or contribute any kind of development to the plot. to expect a resolution is kind of baseless because there's nothing to resolve. the show prides itself off of the realness by which it portrays humanity and human relationships and the way it portrays foggy and karen's relationship was realistic and was simply a homage to their relationship before matt and karen became a couple in daredevil volume one.

the moment when matt can finally recognize their heartbeats again, how he would drop on his knees and dig his hands into foggys shirt and just hold onto him, how he would hide his face in the fabric of karens dress and just cry, cry, cry until he can finally, through quivering lips, explain what happened and for how long they were actually gone.
