U know it was very surprising to me that this fox procedural show about first responders ended up being the most normal about gay people show I've probably ever watched

whenever i've imagined the upcoming bucktommy kiss (which is a lot) where buck initiates the kiss at the wedding once tommy saves chim, i imagine buck runs up to tommy and immediately kisses him in front of everyone. which is great and all, but now i think it'd be great if it starts with a simple hug first. like there's a slowmo scene of tommy getting off the plane, looking around for someone he knows, and then buck yells his name and sprints over, we hear tommy let out a soft "evan" before he's stumbling at the force of buck's body colliding with his as he hugs him so tightly. and as buck holds him, there's a few reaction shots. bobby has a slightly raised eyebrow, wondering when they got so close, athena looks a lil confused but happy nonetheless, hen and karen share a look, maybe we see buck's parents share one too (but less knowing/sweet and more worried), and eddie smiles a lil. let's out a sigh of relief because tommy is his friend too and he's glad he's safe. and THEN buck kisses tommy. and oh my god we get to see everyone's face switch immediately. the shock and the confusion and the pride. oh it'd just be so beautiful.

#i didn't mention maddie and chim bc i assume they're wrapped up in each other at this moment too #so it's like all these people just watching the buckley siblings have a sweet moment with their significant others AHHHHH #i need this scene so badly you don't understand #if something similar to this scene somehow doesn't happen in the episode i'll simply explode #bucktommy #tevan #911 abc #evan buckley #tommy kinard #bobby nash #athena grant #hen wilson #karen wilson

not me desperately trying to figure out a timeline for these finale stills

because it's very clearly dark out during the bucktommy date

whereas all the stills from eddie's house and the hospital look like the daytime

tommy's date outfit also seems to be the same one from that hospital bts pic. however there's also a snap of ryan clearly in his own clothes so it could be ppl were just hanging out there at some point.

and from these shots it looks like buck is with eddie when they get the call about bobby (which seems improbable bc the fire happened at night and you'd assume the firefighters who brought bobby & athena in would call them sooner but w/e)

there's also shots of buck and eddie (+ chris and eddie's parents) in different outfits that are also all in the daytime? so are presumably a different day as well.

i guess these could be from earlier scenes, like chris calls his grandparents and goes to stay with them and then the other shots are them going back to get chris' clothes or something.

but eddie also looks way more frantic in the other shots so idk, it would also mean there's somehow either at least two days between the fire and the 118 finding out or they're really stretching the timeline. (and i mean last episode they couldn't decide if buck joined the 118 five or seven years ago so it's not impossible)

we also got images of athena up and about whereas in the trailer she's still wearing a hospital gown when she goes to see bobby

i'm wondering if we actually find out that bobby is going to be okay pretty early on, just because i can't see bucktommy having a cute date night whilst bobby is on the brink of death ya know?

there's also some very cheery madney + hen shots in different outfits

(wondering if that one spec about madney fostering mara whilst henren get everything straightened out was onto something)

I finally got caught up on s7 of 9-1-1 and can I just say . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . I'M SO GLAD FOX CANCELLED IT SO THAT ABC COULD SAVE IT!!!! Don't get me wrong I still enjoyed the show, I still loved the characters and wanted Buddie before but I feel like in a way FOX stopped trying or caring and the show started to feel different. Even after so many minutes in the first episode of s7, it felt different in the best possible way. Two episodes in and the show is the best it's been in a while and I'm so happy it was picked up by a network that saw its potential and cared. The show was starting to feel kind of stifled in a way and it wasn't the actors fault, now it feels like new life and energy was breathed into it. It reminds me of a time when 9-1-1 was at its best, s7 is already so freaking good and I can't wait for what the rest of the season and series has in store on ABC!!!!??!!!!
