One thing I know for SURE is that if Lucien was given the chance to fight Azriel and had the chance to win…he still wouldn’t do it. Not because he believes he wouldn’t win, but because he’s too mature for that and he would KNOW that Elain wouldn’t want violence to win her over.

I don't understand, so I lift my head from the screen and notice Lucien's eyes flickering unusually. Suddenly, I grasp what's happening.

A mischievous idea springs up. I lift my heels and move along the long legs hugged by his trousers.

"You haven't said the reason why did you suddenly 'ask me to leave' yet."

Through the firm fabric, the legs beneath my tiptoes seem to tense for a moment. I persistently speak up, refusing to relent.

"Did I really 'disturb you? Professor Lucien, could it be that you can't even resist this level of 'temptation'?"

"Oh, this won't do. When doing research, you must stay focused. How can you let yourself get distracted by a little bee that tests your self-control?"

With those words, my tiptoes press on his leg, watching as Lucien bites his lip, and I can't help but curl up the corners of my mouth.

Having witnessed his usual ease, the sight of him struggling to restrain himself now makes me tempted to tease him further... Unfortunately, it's not the right moment.

However, being able to see him so openly longing is enough to satisfy me.

I close my notes, intending to leave as soon as I can, and am about to do so when he suddenly grabs my ankle.

Lucien's voice seems a little hoarse, and his fingertips are carressing gently.

"I do have a lot to learn about paying full attention."

There’s a huge difference between scouring every single SJM post, what colours she’s wearing, book props in the background of her interviews, depending on biased articles that Sarah didn’t even write etc, for “hints” on your favourite ship, and then actually having evidence from the authors own mouth.

And that’s what makes Elucien stand out compared to other ships in the ship war. Elucien is the only one that has been confirmed by the author herself. They’re the only one with proof from SJM. They’re the only one she has openly doted on even after the acowar era, where 98% of another ship’s interactions occur.

They are the only ship that is confirmed to be mates, not only by the book, but by SJM herself. And they’ve been confirmed mates for 8 years. 8 years and the bond is still in tact with Sarah showing no intention of breaking it up at any point!!!

Dipped a toe and snooped in the pro IC and Co. tag just for shits and giggles and it's crazy how so many can't seem to comprehend general criticism of the acotar books and will call people or stans of other characters abusive and idiots and whatever else for simply being a stan of (name character) but do not see the total hypocrisy in their own faves. The abusive nature of their faves. The favoritism towards their faves. The manipulation both from and of their faves.

Many resfuse to see how all over the place SJM writing generally is and I find it hilarious how when it's stated that SJM retcon blatantly to fit the 1st person narrative of the book it's bullshit people and antis are hating for no reason, but as soon as it comes to ACOSF it's lies pandering to pro Nesta despite the story being written in 3rd person from both Nesta and Cassian's POV. I'm sorry, your fave Rhysand has always been a dick. They'd take everything in first books as gospel, but the moment it's Nesta's or even Bryce’s, it's not true? It's biased. It doesn't count.

I don't like ACOSF. The story wasn't about healing, but beating a character down into submission and as a Nesta stan, I still critique it because...I can and I will. Cassian can go fall down those stairs and give the usefulness of his wings to Emerie.

If they want to read the books blindly, go ahead, but don't get mad when others actually internalise and think about the messages being spoken. Everyone digest media differently, and that's OK. I personally like reading about ambiguous and indepth characters. Not a fan of being told how to feel and what to think. The ability to ready between the lines and pick up things that aren't in big neon writing is preferable. SJM has the capability, generally, which from what I've seen, is why TOG is far better recieved, even with the criticism.

They say if we hate Rhysand or Feyre so much, why keep reading? Well, at this fucking point, we're all too deep in this shit show to stop. Call it morbid curiosity. These books have made me a masochist.

If you're an anti blog, keep doing your thing. If you're a pro blog, same thing. Who cares? We find our communities and have fun talking shit. But the unnecessary harsh name calling over something supposedly "not that deep" is wild.

I've seen Elriels claiming that Lucien is jealous of Jurian when he says that Jurian and Vassa are at each others throats 'sharply', but like IMAGINE how uncomfortable it must be for him to be listening in on Jurian and Vassa flirting CONSTANTLY, not to mention that, AGAIN, he's thirdwheeling, just like with Tamlin and Feyre, and we both know how the last friendship he had with his two friends ended up like because they got involved romantically and then broke up.
