how i think the karasuno high school volleyball team would react to finding a tiny

hinata: would be a mix of being cautious and having no chill. the type to fire off a million questions and not even wait for an answer before asking a new one, and his intrusive thoughts would be to grab a tiny but he never follows through on it. he’s too loud for them but learns over time that he can’t scream around tiny ear drums all the time! he’s insanely protective tho and literally never makes height jokes bc he knows how it feels. they bond over this, even though the tiny thinks it’s hilarious that hinata is short by human standards. hinata would endear himself to a tiny so fast it wouldn’t even be funny, like even if it isn’t the same they could talk for hours about how frustrating it is to be too small. he loves giving shoulder rides and sometimes even head rides, ratatouille jokes and all. they would be like best friends, they just have this bond that nobody else could have

kageyama: i hc him as being obsessed with borrowers as a kid and he somehow knows everything about them and expects others to know too. like he legit gets mad having to explain borrower lore to everyone else. it would be like rekindling a childhood obsession but the tiny would be so scared of him bc he’s so INTENSE but he’s actually so gentle it shocks everyone, even though it's in a clinical kind of way. like he's like "i brought you food." because he thinks they need food kind of thing, like he knows the motions to go through but only because he read about borrowers as a kid, not bc he asked them. he’s so perceptive tho, he would be the one to catch a tiny in an instant. even though they find it strange at first, they come to appreciate that kageyama actually cares about them and thinks they’re cool. the tiny comes to him with any volleyball questions bc he loves yapping about setting so he will just ramble for hours about what goes on in his head during a match and the tiny eats it up

daichi: i mean he is the prototypical “i know how to handle this situation perfectly” type of person like he just knows exactly what to do, what to say, how softly to talk, how to move. if the entire team was swarming a tiny he would calmly bend down to their height, very softly ask for their name, offer to bring them anything they need, and the entire team would back off and follow his lead, naturally. he would be an instant beacon of comfort for a tiny, always taking care of them and listening to whatever they say without pressuring them. like he would know all the tiny’s secrets bc they want to tell him everything and everyone else is jealous that he knows super special information. also the king of handhelds, no explanation needed

sugawara: oh my god suga would be the softest, sweetest person on earth dealing with a borrower. like he’s so kind and gentle with a tiny it’s actually disgusting. he find the tiny so cute beyond all comprehension and above all just wants to make sure they’re comfortable and taken care of. he legit feels honored whenever the tiny talks to him or wants to see him, he feels like the chosen one and he absolutely does not hide it. he would love bringing them little treats, not just food to survive but desserts and sweet drinks and he LOVES putting them in his pocket and showing them around the school and around town, he just can’t help himself. he wants them to be included in literally everything. would ask very bashfully if he could hold them and the tiny is like 🥺 yes 🥺🥺🥺

tanaka: i pity the tiny who gets discovered by tanaka. i love him so much but oh my god he would really have zero self-control and he would not be able to contain himself. he would be picking that tiny up and holding it up to his face going :O :O :O GUYS LOOK AT THIS! like he would not be keeping that secret. he would listen when the tiny is like “BRO STOP” though and he would be insanely protective. like the way he gets when anyone else looks at shimizu. he would simply want to be the tiny’s best friend so badly and genuinely thinks they’re the coolest thing. but there would be no shortage of height-related nicknames. they would be unrelenting. but he loves talking to the tiny and including them in literally everything, like he would shit talk everyone with them (especially the CITY BOY ALLIANCE) and explain all the lore

nishinoya: he’s kind of like tanaka lite when it comes to a tiny, but less with the picking up and more with the getting too close, staring too long and asking too many questions. but it’s lowkey endearing because he does it with such wonder and enthusiasm that the tiny can’t help but be almost be flattered at the amount of attention he’s giving them. he would also want to be best friends with them and him and tanaka would legit fight for their attention, like it would be a joke at first but then it turns into a real competition, much to the tiny’s glee. campaigns for them to be the team mascot but in a cute way. also loves giving shoulder rides and asking them what it’s like to be even smaller than he is

asahi: oh i love him because he would be more scared of the tiny than they are of him. like it would be so bad the tiny would think he hates them and they would be so scared of him because of it, which just makes everything worse bc them asahi feels even worse that he’s making them scared! he’s legit too nervous to so much as talk to them, and daichi and suga literally need to stage an intervention to sort things out. he would just feel so uncomfortable around a tiny but definitely warms up to them when he kind of understands that they’re just a very small human being and not like, a creature. he has to be convinced a million times he won’t hurt the tiny, and omg his first time holding them would be so cute and everyone would make fun of how scared he is to do it

tsukki: oh man. oh, tsukki. he would give zero shits about a tiny, and lowkey, he doesn’t fully believe they’re a functioning person for a while. like he truly doesn’t understand why everyone is so enamored with them, to the point that it kind of starts to piss him off. he wouldn’t like be a total asshole to them or anything, but he would 100% pick them up when nobody else is around, look at them for a little bit, then scoff and just plop them down at a high elevation where they can’t get down by themselves like he would be such a good foil to everyone else’s obsession with them. but of course he would eventually come around, and he would never fully say sorry but he starts getting them food and stuff and the tiny knows that’s his way of apologizing

yamaguchi: he would think the tiny is so freaking cool but he would simply be too nervous to talk to them, not because he’s scared but because he just literally has no idea what to say. he doesn’t have the nurturing instinct of daichi and suga or the natural charisma of tanaka or noya so he kind of just stand there like 🧍‍♂️ and stares at them a lot, but would immediately go red in the face and look away when the tiny looks at him, and the tiny actually finds this very adorable. like of all the big scary volleyball players they have to face, yamaguchi is NOT one of them bc hell even his serve is understated. it’s the rare dynamic of the tiny wanting to get to know HIM more when they’re comfortable enough around everyone, and ofc he would just be a big flustered sweetie

you remember when you were younger that she used to yell at your brother for using his left hand and you got angry a lot because you were fiercely protective of your brother

this caused her to yell at you too for being nosy and being involved in something you shouldnt be in

duh we know that ushi’s dad takashi actually supported him for this and protected him too and you were also a papa’s girl so you always ran to him

he understood you both better and while your mother worked, he was at home taking care of you two

then when they mentioned wanting to separate, you were very sad but somewhat relieved

mostly because you hated hearing your parents arguing and you felt bad for your brother as he constantly did whatever to get you out of the house

thats what brought on your love for volleyball

you werent exactly the best player but you were interested in it and often watched matches with him

but you also liked volleyball because your brother liked it

you liked whatever your brother liked

he adored you too and he was a boy who didnt talk much due to your mother but he was always a talker with you

especially when you couldnt sleep, he would sneak you out of your room and you both would run to the kitchen and eat ice cream

even with just a 2 year age difference, he looked as if he was older than you due to his massive height

so imagine your surprise when he said he didnt care and naturally, the mother would get the child

lowkey you felt hella betrayed and when your dad whisked you away overseas, there was this grudge you held against toshi

in california, your father made sure you still remembered your brother and you tried to detach from the japanese lifestyle to your new one but you just couldnt

maybe around 6 years you were already fed up with the hot california heat and you wanted to go back to japan to see toshi again

you got over that grudge years ago but your mother refused to have any contact or anything to do with your father and so that included you too

she refused to let you both video chat and any type of connection

your dad obviously noticed your sad expressions and your obvious longing to go back to your brother again and so he arranged something

you shut the door gently before taking off your shoes by the doorway

the large house was often quiet except for the constant typing of a keyboard in your father’s study

you meekly mumbled but his sense of hearing never wavered so he heard your voice

his voice echoed through the hallways and you heard his chair squeak as it was moved back so he could stand

your sock-cladded feet padded against the hard wood floor and you walked towards his study where indeed he was standing there

your father has definitely aged yet his job as a coach made him as fit as he was decades ago

as much as it disgusted you, you could tell what your friends meant when they said your dad was good-looking

they actually said your dad was hot but you refuse to acknowledge that

you closed the door and sat down on the loveseat at the corner of the room as it was your designated spot

you asked and it was clear that you were excited at the thought of going back to japan as you havent been back since you moved due to your father’s busy job and your school

takashi swallowed his food before revealing the news

your old family home was exactly as you remember it but you didnt expect the 6′2 boy in the living room

it was during the first day of the tournament and you were filling up their water bottles I SWEAR WHY IS MANAGER-CHAN ALWAYS FILLING UP WATER BOTTLES when you found a familiar bunch of boys at the end of the hallway just chatting

you havent seen tendou and the boys in so long so you placed the bottles down and rushed over there so quickly

‘TOMUTOMU!’

you shouted and the oddly-haired boy turned and he gasped before grabbing you into a large hug

this grabbed tendou’s attention and he cheered then hugged you too

your giggles and happy cheers were so infectous and they just absolutely missed you so much

these tall boys were at a advantage so someone scooped you up and you were just affectionately being talked to and hugged and LKDSJFSLDFJ SO LUCKY SO LOVED

meanwhile

the plant babies were wondering where the heck you went to

‘y/n-chan?! where is she?!’

oikawa panicked quickly while iwaizumi hit him to shut up

‘be quiet! you won’t find her if you’re too busy freaking out!’

‘ill find her’

matsukawa volunteered and they nodded, feeling at ease of him being capable to find you if you were in trouble

but when he returned empty-handed and with large eyes, they knew something was up

they ran behind mattsun to stop and copy his shocked expression at the sight in front of them

the others were so stunned and seijoh itself was so hard to make speechless but they were just shocked

you waved and you motioned them closer

you smiled uneasily and they could see that

oikawa signalled you to say everything bc he knew it wasnt the whole story

you mumbled the last part

but they heard you

‘HAH?!’

you cringed and the shira boys were about to move to protect you but they saw you glare at them

‘but,, why are you,, in seijoh? dont get me wrong! its just,, youd naturally go to shiratorizawa right?’

mattsun waved his hands around and asked the question thats bugging the team

‘i came to the country late’

‘THE COUNTRY?!’

turns out you havent exactly told them everything about you yet :/

even when youve cleared the air and introduced waka as your brother, seijoh still didnt say anything

they were stuck in this shocked and surprised moment even at the end of the day and when you went straight to the shiratorizawa team,

they watched with wide eyes as you laughed with goshiki and was jumping around with tendou

‘AH! TOMU! MY HAIR!’

‘TORI-SAN! SATORI-SAN! TAKE THAT!’

wow you were actually really beautiful when youre happy

‘i dont think ive seen her this happy with this much energy’

makki said and they nodded

it was true

you were usually calm and collected and was the perfect balance to this chaotic team

so seeing you so free and loose with them was so refreshing, even if it was with damn ushiwaka

you finally went back to the seijoh boys and they all sent glares to the violet team before sending you a smile

‘you ready to go, manager-chan?’

watari ruffled your hair before handing you your bag to start walking to the bus

‘yea. lets go home’

as you all walked, oikawa was already starting his tantrum

oikawa whined and pouted

but you just turned to smiled at him and stopped walking to pat his head

‘im not their manager, therefore im not pressured to act like anyone except as a friend and a spectator. but i try to be as professional as i can with you guys to make sure you dont appear bad to others. and you guys are perfectly chaotic enough, adding me into the mix will just about kill coach’

oikawa didnt seem satisfied though

‘but! thats not fair! they get to see you smile and i dont!’

iwaizumi growled at him to be quiet but you beat him to it

walks in the rain [tsukishima kei x reader]

Author’s Note: Yes, it is me. I was formerly known as lookuptotheskiesandsee, but decided to have a do-over since I wasn’t really that into the classic rock fandom anymore. Anyway, here’s my very first Haikyuu fic. If I have anything wrong in here, whether it be with grammar or anything else, please tell me! I’m super new to this :’)

Also, this is totally going to flop anyway, but shares and feedback are appreciated! I know this isn’t a totally amazing fic or something that really gets the heart beating. It’s more lowkey and has a more slice-of-life feeling, but I promise this isn’t the best I have hfhihiwqhdowejd.

Summary: you’ve forgotten your umbrella, so tsukishima offers to walk with you with his own. along the way home, you reminisce about before.

The squeaking of shoes and hitting of volleyballs filled the court. You waited patiently beside Yachi and Kiyoko, with the former watching starry-eyed at the group of boys. Smiling fondly, you looked back into the court.

The team had just finished the last practice set, all of them who participated panting heavily as they celebrated their win (well, half of them, at least).

Ukai clapped his hands together, getting the attention of the players.

“Right! Next practice, same thing. Now,” he continued, “I’ll be taking my leave. I’ve got a shift to cover. Besides, it’s getting late. Clean up quick, yeah?”

“Yes, Coach!” some shouted in response, adrenaline still pumping through their veins.

With some last goodbyes, Ukai left the gym. And with that, the cleanup started.

It had started out normally, all as usual. That was, until the rainclouds pulled in. This wasn’t unusual or anything, but it was inconvenient, of course, since most students walked home from school, including the Kasasuno team. Two volleyballs were in your arms when you stopped to look outside. Turning your head to the rest of the gym, you looked to see just about everything finished up.

“Ah, I can finish up around here this time, guys. You can all get home before the rain starts pouring too hard,” you offered kindly. Sure, you don’t do this everytime, but every once in a while it would be nice to do something for them, since they already work so hard on playing.

Daichi stopped in his tracks for a moment, seemingly surprised at your offer.

“There’s not much more to do, you really don’t have to,” he said, offering a smile in response.

“I know, but it’ll start raining real soon, and it’s best if you guys get a head start, right?” you explained. “Besides, I know where everything goes, I’ll be fine.”

“Y/n-”

“It’s fine, Daichi-san. Really, all of you,” you reassured him.

You could see the hesitation in his eyes, but your sure look made him give in. Sighing, with a smile on his face. “Alright. Everyone finish what you’re doing and we’ll go.”

A few minutes later, it seemed everyone had gone home.

That was until you finished closing.

Once you locked the doors you turned your head only to see Tsukishima standing there, his headphones on and leaning against the wall.

“Tsukki, what are you doing? The rain’s already started,” you murmured, slinging your bag across your shoulder.

He took off his headphonse and tilted his head toward you. “You think I haven’t noticed? Knowing you, you probably forgot your umbrella today.”

“I-” your cheeks flushed at the statement. He was right, actually.

Of course he was.

At this he began to chuckle, with that goddamn smirk on his face. It was embarrassing, really, and Tsukishima knew that. Turning his gaze away from you, he opened his umbrella and started to walk off. For a moment, you stared after him, your cheeks hot and chest tightening.

When he realized you weren’t following, he looked back at you with an expectant look on his face.

“Well? Are you coming? Or would you rather walk in the rain to get home? ‘Cause I’ll leave you here,” he questioned teasingly.

You perked at his statement. “H-Hey! That wouldn’t be very nice, now would it?” you objected, running after him.

“And you take me as the nice guy?”

“Not the point!” you pouted, standing by his side as the rain hit the umbrella. The height difference was nice, especially since it was an excuse to have someone else hold the umbrella instead of you. Especially if it was Tsukki.

Besides Yamaguchi, you were probably the only one who he’d consider a close friend (though he’d never admit it). You were neighbors, but only became friends in middleschool. At first, you had thought of the blonde as just a mean kid, but as you got to know him, you realized that he was actually… really cool.

In fact, you even began to develop feelings for him.

Though, you had never said it out loud. That would’ve made it too real. You didn’t want that. He was your friend, nothing else. There was no way he could feel the same, right? He treated you just like everyone else.

Except he didn’t. And everyone but you seemed to see that. By this time, the whole team saw how you pined for each other (though it took Hinata and Kageyama a little longer to notice). And it was frustrating to the whole team.

“Oi, why’re you so quiet all of a sudden?”

His voice snapped you out of your trance. You blinked up at him.

“No reason. Why?” you questioned, stopping at the crosswalk to wait for the cars to finish passing.

“You usually talk too much for your own good. What, are you finally using that brain of yours to think?” he said, his gaze flickering to you for just a fraction of a second before he started walking across the street.

Considering he took long strides because of his taller stature, you had to jog to get back next to him while answering.

“Hey, maybe I’m not as smart as you, but at least I’m smarter than Hinata and Kageyama!” you whined.

He scoffed at your reasoning. “That’s not saying much. Even if they were combined.”

You paused for a moment before bursting into a laugh, patting his back. “You’re so mean, Tsukki! They’re just too enticed with volleyball, is all.”

Your words seemed to make him grimace a little. As your laughs died down you finally answered him properly.

“Just thinking about us when we were in middleschool,” you murmured, watching your breath show up in the air.

“Middleschool?” he questioned, shoving his other hand in his pocket at the mention of it.

“Mm!” you confirmed. “I used to think you were just this salty, mean guy. I mean, you still are,” you laughed. “But there’s way more to you now, I know.”

“Oh?” Tsukki said, trying to hide the real curiosity in his voice.

“Yeah,” you nodded. Looking up at what parts you could see of the sky, you continued. “When we were just neighbors and classmates, I found you really intimidating. Not just because of your height, but how you handled things. You were smart, yeah, a little snarky, but also a bit rude. I never thought I’d be friends with you, or that you’d want to… be friends with me.’

This didn’t change his pace or his face. The both of you kept walking.

“But when I saw you making fun of Yamaguchi’s bullies, it completely crushed the idea of you that I thought was right. And when we started hanging out, I finally saw you.”

You had missed it, but his face began to change.

“You’re real. You’re really intelligent, really nice, though I know you won’t believe, and really talented, too. I know you’re afraid to show passion for something that might crush you in the end, but I think you’ve got great potential. You’ve just changed so much from the first time I’ve seen you, but I know that’s only on the outside. I know, though, that the boy from before is still in there.” A pause. “But if I were to describe you with one word, it would be…”

You turned to face him, finally making eye contact with the tall blonde.

“Cool.”

His eyes widened at your words. You hadn’t expected him to react in any way, so his surprise made you think back on your words.

“Ah, sorry, sorry!” you apologized, bringing your hands up. “I know you don’t like that kind of thing, but… I just thought you should know.”

Again, the heat began to rise in your cheeks. Way to go, Y/n.

He didn’t respond, just staring you down with his cold eyes. Yet, they didn’t seem to hold the same emotion as they usually did. Perhaps you were just imagining it.

“Tch,” was all he said before he continued walking, facing forward once more.

There wasn’t any conversation after that. When you both arrived at your home, you turned and thanked him.

“Thanks for walking me, Tsukki. You didn’t have to,” you acknowledged gratefully.

“I know,” he nodded back.

There was a tense moment of silence before you turned, coughing awkwardly as you walked up the steps to your door.

“Oi, Y/n.”

Surprised, you turned your head to look at your friend.

His mouth was parted, as if he were hesitating.

“...yes?” you asked curiously, hand resting on the doorframe.

“Let’s go somewhere after school tomorrow,” he managed nonchalantly.

“Like- Like a hangout?” you murmured, wondering if this was what you hoped it would be.

“No,” he answered. “Like a date.”

It felt like your heart leaped out of your chest. All you could feel in that moment was shock. Him? Tsukishima Kei? Wanted to go on a date with you? Even after that whole awkward walk? And the past, like, five or four years you’ve known him?

“Are you sure?” you asked, dumbstruck.

“Of course I am, why wouldn’t I be?” he said, supposedly annoyed. “I happen to like you, and you happen to like me. That is, unless I’ve been wrong this whole time?”

Oh.

OH.

OH?

He knew this entire time?!

Confusion passed through your mind momentarily before you hastily answered, “No, no! You’re right! I just-- I wasn’t expecting this, so,” you stopped yourself from saying anything that could ruin this moment. “Yeah. Let’s go somewhere.”

“Good. Wait for me when school ends. I already have a place picked out,” he stated. If you listened closely, you could hear how nervous he actually was and how fast his heart was beating. He hadn’t been this nervous before in a long time.

“O-Okay,” you stuttered, unsure of what to say.

It seemed as though he didn’t either, because he left soon after with just a nod as a goodbye. In reality, he probably would’ve talked to you more if he weren’t so nervous. Could you imagine that? Tsukishima nervous because of you?

Staring at his form walking away from your house, you stood there, stunned. A date. With him. Tomorrow. It seemed almost impossible that this was real.

Once he turned the corner and left your neighborhood, you rushed inside, suddenly remembering how cold it was out there.

“Oh, Y/n,” your mother called from the kitchen. “Can you pick up some groceries on your way back from school for me since it’s already on your way back?”

You were about to accept when you remembered what you had just agreed on.

“I can’t,” you answered.

“Huh?” she called. “And why is that?”

A grin broke out on your face, your fists clenching as the reality of the situation took hold. Honestly, you felt like screaming your excitement into a pillow.

“I have a date!”

✎ ameris’ notes. i wanted to create some playlists that the karasuno team might listen to. each one is specialized for each character!! along with my thoughts owo and these are all japanese songs that i’ve listened to!

I feel like with how much he always has those headphones on, he probably has a range of music. From pop, indie, alternative, etc. He probably doesn’t really care much about lyrics and the meaning, though I don’t think he’d really vibe with songs that are explicit, as in sex lol, unless it’s something that’s more abstract yknow. He’s also not opposed to them either though. Just not preferred? I think if they just have a good beat or the melody fits with his current vibes at the time it’ll work. It’s funny that I don’t really write for Tsukki that much but I wanted to make his playlist first.

I think he has different playlists for what he’s doing at the time. If he’s on his way to school, and Yamaguchi isn’t with him, he’s probably listening to something upbeat to wake himself up. After practice on his way home, he’s probably listening to something chill to just relax after grueling practice.

Definitely has music based on his moods. I also feel like he has a preference towards indie music?? I have no clue why but I just feel like he does. He also probably has a few artists he keeps an eye on for when they have new releases but he isn’t obsessed with just one artist (Indigo la End is one of the artists I think he’d like). There are definitely songs on here he’d rather die than have his team know he listens to, Yuwakuno Party being one of them.

Out of the entire team, I think you’d be better off asking Tsukki (or Suga) for song recs. But it’s only a matter of whether or not he’ll give you them.

He probably listens to either hip hop, pop, rock, or the cute love songs (sad/angst or the good one’s he likes both). LOL Not that love is it’s own genre it’s just, they’re good. He likes it, any type of genre. Of course, whenever he’s the DJ for the day, he makes sure he doesn’t play cute love songs, cus he’s got an image to uphold, ya know?

I ALSO feel like he likes rap music? My friend and I were talking about that so like owo I think he and Noya have the same music tastes as well but I’ll probably only put one or two songs that are the same for either.

He doesn’t organize his playlists very well. I’m sorry. I just feel like he doesn’t?? But he knows which playlists are for what. They definitely range from playlists he listens to when he thinks about Kiyoko (or you heheh) to whichever he wants to listen to and that one playlist somehow has the songs, and the only songs he wants to listen to at that moment. Actually, there should be a correction, it’s not organized well to people who look at his playlists but it’s organized to himself.

I also think he’s a big fan of JPOP groups. I think he’d probably be a fan of Nogizaka46, and this is where he and Noya will probably have a disagreement (but they still listen to the other’s favorite jpop group because its still good music ya know). Sad uwu

I feel like Noya listens to pop, rock, indie, and like Tanaka the cute love songs and rap songs :3c. I want to say that Noya’s the one that finds the various love songs and gives Tanaka the recommendations. The song genre I think that was playing during that one episode where Ukai had videos of everyone and it was Nishinoya’s video, I think that was rock?? So that’s where the whole rock genre comes from anyway so lol.

In terms of a JPOP group I think he’s a fan of, it’d be AKB48 who are rivals with Nogizaka46 lul. And look, I want to say when I was researching into the music culture in Japan, it’s usually the girls that are fans of JPOP groups? But, I feel like Tanaka and Noya would be fans of them ;-;

I think Noya either organizes his playlists like in a keyboard smash all caps, and only he knows, or there’s just a bunch of playlists that are like “new Playlist” or whatever the defaults are loool.

Suga doesn’t really care which kind of songs he listens to. He likes them all. I feel like he leans towards “softer” songs, whatever that means, though I tried putting in a range of songs for this mixtape. Maybe I’m projecting here because I love Suga and I see a lot of myself in him, but he just likes the chill music. Which is funny because of how feral he could be. He definitely has songs he listens to that are more upbeat though. I also think he likes rap. But like I said, I don’t think he really has a preference of what genre of songs he listens to.

He has multiple playlists, from what he’s feeling mood, what activity he’s doing (working out, homework, cooking, etc.), to just what he wants to listen to at the time. Which means that playlists changes a lot because of how much he deletes and adds so he can have “atm vibes”. I think he also gives them funny names, maybe throwing in emoticons so some people don’t know what playlist is for what but he does!

I think Suga would give great music recs too. He has range so he can give anything for any genre. I think out of everyone here, Suga has to be the best DJ. He just knows what songs to play that fits best with the group and the vibe that’s going on.

OKAY so it’s already been confirmed that Hinata reads manga. I dunno how into it he is but I feel like it’s more lowkey than Tendo and also because I feel like he does spend more time with volleyball. But I also think he still does watch anime every now and then and his little sister probably watches a lot of Sailor Moon so he’s bound to have watched that too. Like that’s so cute I love sailor moon. If you don’t know what I’m trying to get at, I want to say that his playlist does consist of anime openings and endings. BECAUSE THEY’RE GOOD OKAY.

I also think maybe Vocaloid?? Like maybe he finds a few vocaloid songs because he found it through youtube recommend when he listened to anime openings and stuff. But otherwise, I think as he and his sister gets older he probably listens to what his sister does because sometimes he’s just too busy to find music (which is valid because I know my brother’s music that he plays and whenever I play something new all of a sudden it’s on his playlist, i’m also the younger one)? Or he listens to whatever is in passing (like what his friends listen to) or, again, anime openings and endings.

He probably kinda attempts to organize his playlists at first but eventually he gave up? So he probably just listens to whatever is on his library of songs and skips whatever songs he’s not feeling. If he does organize anything, it’s by songs from who recommended it or where he heard it from. Like anime songs, or songs heard from natsu, or suga, etc.

IS IT BAD THAT I THINK YAMAGUCHI WOULD LISTEN TO SAD MUSIC??? LIKE Okay he probably has a few things he likes but some that stick out would be rock, indie, or indie rock. Like, he grew up with Tsukki they probably listen to the same music together ya know? So with that in mind, they have similar artists and genres in general I think. Yamaguchi listens to songs with good beats he can vibe to or those soft songs he can listen to when he’s like taking the train and going through the day wanting to chill or whatnot. He also probably names his playlists like “chill dayz,” “just want to vibe,” “!!!! kinda day,” etc. lol it’s pretty cute but also I felt that.

I’m not too sure about a few cultural aspects (specifically for the popularity of Vocaloid or any other synthetic vocals within Japan) so this is my disclaimer that these are just songs I’ve found for this purpose or listen to that I think would suit these characters; either through what I see them listening to or if the song reminded me of them.

Also i didn’t know some of these songs/artists did anime openings/endings and etc. but at the same time i’m not surprised.

I mostly made these because I’ve been getting back into Japanese music, mostly indie, or alt. Or like indie rock or indie pop... We can tell where my taste in music is lol.

Iwaizumi Hajime: proven to be a great leader many times, he knows how to lift spirits up. Unlike Oikawa, he shows his emotions easily, no mask to hide behind. I’d like to think he has a secret interest towards design & graphic design ig. He is the only one who can keep chaton!kawa in check let’s face it. Oikawa Tooru is like Adrien in many ways, including the hair style. Just like Adrien, Oikawa puts up a facade in public, smiles and waves everywhere, fake smiles most of the time. They both have their fan clubs and Oikawa is the flirty, cheeky type as well. but also v strategic too

Enter Matsukawa Issei & Hanamaki Takahiro for the roles of Alya Césaire & Nino Lahiffe

In canon Mattsun says it that he is glad to not be friends with Oikawa so he’s the Alya of relationship. Remember when Makki went “No Oikawa, don’t do anything, we’re so close to finishing up” but Oikawa opens his mouth and it all ends in tears? Yeah, Makki calling Oikawa on his bs out more please!

These two run something similar to Ladyblog but with more memes, fancams, lq edits and all. These all require footage though... They don’t go around chasing battles obv but somehow the battles always find them so they make use of it. Probably the first ones to discover Iwa and Oikawa’s secret identities.

How can you have early MLB content without Chloe Bourgeois & Sabrina Raincomprix, or should I say: Ushijima Wakatoshi and Tendou Satori:

"You should have come to Collège Françoise Dupont” and so Oikawa comes when Ushi gets too persistent. Chloe was obsessed with Adrien and in a way... so is Ushi when it comes to Oikawa...

In this dynamic these two have a balanced friendship. tendou is usually the brains of their plans pranks. (Iwa, Mattsun and Makki hate the pranks more than anything, Oikawa thinks they’re all planned by Ushi for real...)He convinces Ushi that they’ll get Oiks attention with this prank finally! He lowkey wants Ushi to stop chasing Oikawa and see what’s in front of him cough himself cough

Juleka Couffeine & Rose Lavillant the iconic lesbians but now they’re Bokuto Koutarou and Akaashi Keiji

Bokuto gets his emo moments, Akaashi is his sunshine, roses, rainbows and anchor, i won’t explain further or this will get too long...

Finding good matches for Luka and Kagami were hard (since Iwa isn’t that close with anyone): Kageyama Tobio as Luka Couffeine and Kuroo Tetsurou as Kagami Tsurugi

Kageyama and Iwa probably share more of a sibling dynamic (at least on Iwa’s side I’m sure, i’m not keen on shipping Kags w/ seijoh 3rd years) Oikawa doesn’t see that though. Oiks & Kags are in a musical/setter rivalry but Kageyama knowing Iwa and spending time with him? Jealousy ensues...

Kuroo and Oikawa meet during a lab mandatory class one day and hit it off right then and there. It’s mostly banter and occasional flirting though nothing serious. But people who don’t know Kuroo may take the flirting serious (Iwa) jealous iwa-chan hours [open]

Yahaba Shigeru as Wayhem

Looks like Oikawa, is also a setter in HQ, can act like Oikawa sometimes... Oikawa probably adopted him during his 2nd year, you can’t tell me otherwise.

Nishinoya Yuu, Hinata Shoyo and Tanaka Ryuunosuke as Alix Kubdel and le Chien Kim:

both Noya and Hinata fit the role and personality of Alix a lot. Plus imagine them with the rabbit miraculous, yeah...

And how can you have Noya without Tanaka? Karasuno jocks for miraculous jocks, it’s as simple as that. (i will add more)

Daichi Sawamura and Sugawara Koushi as Nathaniel Kurtzberg and Marc Anciel:

(not sure which is which) Daichi seems to fit Nathaniel more personality wise. They’re both more noticable compared to Suga and Marc at first. while the latter lay low until provoked.

But Suga hits me as the more artistic type + I can see him with a crush on one of the superheros (probably Oikawa this time) (i will add more)
