I know I say it often, but Mondays are my favorite. A clean slate and fresh start. A chance to set your week up for success and create a sense of order. I'm a planner by nature, and like being organized, but often find myself in organized chaos. If anything should go wrong on the farm, it usually happens on a Monday morning. You know how as a parent, all of the mysterious rashes or sudden fevers strike on a Friday...at 5 PM (the most inopportune time in all of the week)? That's usually how it goes for us on Mondays. James is always at the farm, most of Sunday, planning and preparing for the anticipated orders, double checking equipment, and making sure the soil moisture is just perfect for the organized chaos of the coming week. Even last night, he sat quietly after dinner and I asked if everything was okay. He replied that he was just working things out in his head.
