HIII I'm okieeee, work was a solid alright today!! Got to work w my fav coworker tho so that made it a lot nicer :))) it was surprisingly busy for how little appointments we had, but I'm glad I wasn't bored

When I walked out of work it smelt like autumn so that was a jumpscare, but a nice one!! The smell of dead leaves isn't like a good smell per se but I like the vibes and how it reminds me of autumn sooo :))

Am a bit tired and I'm sad that I have to go to bed soon but mayhaps I will try to write or smth to keep up the good vibes when I get home before I sleep

9. Is there any character that you personally don't love, but you get why someone would?

-Forgive me for saying this but I’m personally not a big fan of Aragorn, BUT I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE LOVE HIM!! He’s a great character! Just not for me, I think.

11. Is there any fanon that annoys you?

-I think a lot of the fanon surrounding Thranduil. There are quite a few drafts of me replying to posts being like “he would NOT fucking say that” that i just do not let see the light of day because it’s not worth the debate but they are in my drafts COOKING. I think that he’s actually very kind and a canonically good father, I love Lee Pace as Thranduil in the Hobbit as a casting choice but unfortunately the writing for him is lacklustre in many parts and it created an image of Thranduil that is simply… not him? And it leaks into fanfiction very heavily. It annoys me when people consider Thranduil as someone who is agro 24/7, like yes Thranduil has that DOG in him but in general I consider him a graciously kind King and the way he gave Bilbo the title of elf friend is the cutest thing ever to me :) There’s a lot nuance to his character that I think people don’t acknowledge.

17. What's your favourite fanfiction you've ever read?

- THIS IS A HARD ONE mainly because i read SOOOOO MUCH FIC, I cant think of my overall favourite fic ever but one of my favourites currently is actually Gold Coin by AlexFlex on AO3, mainly because of the spectacular world-building that’s going on there. It devates from canon a little bit but I so far I enjoy the direction the author is taking it, and I find myself rereading it a lot. I really enjoy the character interpretations going on and it just has me voraciously reading for more. The Dwarven cultural building is INSANE and I love all the little details it brings into it, and it has very good smut :) LMAO But as for favourites, I think that Sansûkh is a given, as well as a good majority of @tathrin‘s fics and yours as well! Also this fic left an impact on me that had me crying for DAYSSSS and inspired me to write this fic that has somewhat of the same premise but a happier ending LDNFFJJD

Let’s see I haven’t gone on a myshane rampage today!!! I was too busy!!!! Let’s talk about something they do for fun!

Video games!!!! Oh this is their biggest bonding point. Mys played a lot of games back when she still with her ex in the city.

Her ex boyfriend was a real jerk. He didn’t like it when she was out in the city for anything other than performing her duty as his girlfriend. His arm candy, his trophy wife. And her ex-best friend Celia would make plans only to cancel them the day of. So Mys often looked elsewhere for company.

It just so happened on one lonely Christmas that her parents sent the couple a gaming system. Mys tried to convince her ex to play with her but he wasn’t interested in anything that would waste his precious time, after all, he already put up with her.

So she played alone and found that she really enjoyed it. There were so many stories to explore and characters to be. So by the time she moved to the farm she had already collected quite a bit of games!

But, because she’d been so busy fixing up the house and the land, she hadn’t really played as much as she would have liked.

But then Shane came along.

He wasn’t very friendly and he seemed annoyed with her most of the time, though this didn’t faze her. Mys had already grown used to being a bother. She liked him though. He was very handsome, albeit a tad dirty, and he looked incredibly tired.

She thought that maybe, just maybe he was in a situation like her. Maybe he was lonely. Maybe he too felt deep down, that he needed some company. So she made sure to talk to him every day, often hiding in a booth at the saloon until he arrived.

Eventually this worked, but in a much different way than she expected. As they sat there drinking with the moonlights glow reflected onto their reddened faces, Mys both realized she was right about Shane…

And that she was falling in love.

Now she was certain she had to befriend the man. Not for the sake of her own feelings, but because she didn’t want him to be alone anymore. And so her behavior stayed constant, and Shane grew used to her appearance in his life.

Of course, he grumbled and he complained, but he sat with her almost as if the actions had become a routine. Feeling confident in the sudden familiarity, she began to ask Shane about himself. And one of the details Shane let slip was that he liked video games.

He was incredibly surprised by how quick she began to talk about all of the games she’s played over the years.

Oddly, he found it to be kind of cute.

Accidentally, he invited her over to play with him.

So, Shane and Mys quickly bonded over their shared love of video games. Shane also quickly turned mys into as big a cheater as he. Though, this was more detrimental to himself than anyone else, for she found every possible way to make him lose when they were in completion.

He wouldn’t admit it then, but he looked forward to seeing how she would distract him next.

This behavior continued well into their blossoming friendship and eventual marriage.

On quiet nights, when the kids are asleep, Mys and Shane will start up a game, giggle and laugh and be all around silly as they tried to sabotage each other, and wake on the floor in each others arms under the new morning light
