First, Emma, Katey, and Noel, and now Ethan.
The Conners is really admitting that it's the suburban Shameless right down to the cast.

She is an American actress and singer. She is known for playing Peggy Bundy on Married... with Children (1987–1997), Leela on Futurama (1999–2003, 2008–2013, 2023), Cate Hennessy on 8 Simple Rules (2002–2005), Gemma Teller Morrow on the FX series Sons of Anarchy (2008–2014), for which she won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama in 2011, and Louise Goldufski-Conner on The Conners (2018–present).

Sagal began her career in show business as a singer and songwriter. In 1973, she worked as a backing vocalist for various singers, including Bob Dylan, Etta James, and Tanya Tucker. My Episode 10 easter eggs and refences in My Adventures with Superman post is here
(SPOILERS if you haven't seen the show yet):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lois Lane has a cut out clip of Vicki Vale. Vicki Vale is a journalist in Gotham City. Her first appearance was in Batman #49 (1948) as seen in the panel here (W: Bill Finger, A: Lew Sayre and Bob Kane, I: Charles Paris, L: Ira Schnapp).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Looks like Jimmy is a fan of Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. Good video game taste.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jimmy mentions a psychic starfish and the one starfish in the DC universe who is psychic is Starro the Conqueror, who's first appearance is in Brave and the Bold 28 (1960) (the cover art here is done by Mike Sekowsky, Murphy Anderson, and Ira Schnapp) and has the power to mind control people.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lois, after barging into Perry White's office about a story, mentions Mt. Simonson. This is a neat name drop to Superman: The Man of Steel writer Louise Simonson, one of the nicest comic book writers you'll ever meet. She helped co-create John Henry Irons a.k.a Steel with artist of the Superman: The Man of Steel comic, Jon Bogdanove (really hope we get to see Irons in this show too).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jon Bogdanove also gets a name drop here as does...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dan Jurgen, comic book writer and artist on the Superman comic in the 90s (also one of my favorite Superman artists).
Now who are these kids that call themselves the Newskid Legion? Well, they are a VERY deep DC cut and reference to the Newsboy Legion back in the 1940s. The group was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby, LEGENDARY comic book creators.
Tumblr media
The page here is from Who's Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe #16 (1986) with the art by Jack Kirby and Karl Kesel. Most of the Newskid Legion is named after the Newsboy Legion members
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gabby and Big Words here share names with their Newsboy Legion counterparts as does Flip Johnson...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
who shares names with Walter "Flip" Johnson here on the cover of Superman's Pal Jimmy Olson #137 (1971) which was done by Jack Kirby, Neal Adams, and Gaspar Saladino.
Tumblr media
Patty, the cartoonist of the Newskid Legion homages this panel from Adventures of Superman #500 (1993) (W: Karl Kesel, P: Tom Grummet, I: Doug Hazelwood, C: Glenn Whitmore, L: Albert DeGuzman), the first appearance of Superboy, Conner Kent/ Kon-El.
Tumblr media
But who is the one below that drawing? We'll his name is in Big Word's word puzzle, in the show. It's Jim Harper, the Guardian.
Tumblr media
Jim Harper becomes the Newsboy Legion's legal guardian despite their causing trouble for him. The page here is from Star Spangled Comics #7, the Newsboy Legion and the Guardian's first appearance, by Joe Simon, Jack Kirby, and Whitney Ellsworth. You might've seen the Guardian on the recent Young Justice cartoon.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Lois, Clark, and Jimmy go investigate about the smuggled robots in Metropolis, Jimmy makes a reference to super intelligent gorillas in France. This is a subtle hint at Monsieur Mallah, the Doom Patrol villain who will be in the show along with his partner, the Brain. Both made their first appearance in Doom Patrol #86 (1964) .
Tumblr media
The cover art here is done by Arnold Drake, Bob Brown, and Ira Schnapp.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Later in the episode we see Clark receive his powers and he is surrounded with electricity, giving off Superman Blue vibes when in the comics, Superman gained electricity powers and became Electric Blue Superman who's first appearance was in Superman #123 (1997) (cover art by Ron Frenz, Joe Rubenstein, Patrick Martin, and Todd Klein.

I'm suprised this actually came out pretty good.. but yeah... some father and son bonding time we were robbed of.. think of this as a War of the Supermen Alternate Ending.. the Good Ending where Chris & Thara survive
The battle ended with Chris and Clark single handedly flying Zod into the source wall.. not the phantom zone as they did before.. the other kryptonian criminals are taken captive by OA and are held in a solar system with a Red Sun.. the kryptonians left on New Krypton who did not side with Zod were given a home on the planet Rokyn.. Chris' Nightwing powers are new.. and he is learning new things about them and himself everyday.. after a long day of war, turmoil... Chris and Clark catch up on lost time.. he has matured so much from this.. and Clark sees in him the potential to be a great hero.. and although zod, ursa and non are gone.. many of his followers are still on Earth Clark offers Chris to join the Supermen of America where he gladly accepts, Lucy is ridden of her powers with Sam Lane dead Lois comes to give her comfort, Mon-El.. after years of suffering from lead poisoning and being bound to the phantom zone.. is free.. free to go and do as he pleases.. Chris meets Conner... Thara and Kara reconnect and they quickly bond... in the shadows.. a new mysterious threat is lurking in the shadows.. ready to strike.. who it is we dont know.. that is for you to decide...
Continued in
Supermen of America #1 (2011) (which in my mind for this alternate universe is very much be like the Batman Incorporated of Superman..) Written by Geoff Johns and Kurt Busiek
Nightwing/Flamebird #1 (2011) written by Greg Rucka
Kon-El: Sentinel #12 written by Jeff Lemire (Kons series numbering continued off Superboy Vol 5)
Supergirl Vol 5. #67 written by Kelly Sue DeConnick
Steel (2011) #1 written by Louise Simonson
Superman (1939) #709 written by J. Michael Straczynski
Action Comics (1938) #900 written by Geoff Johns

RULES:
All fictional women from a category will be randomized, and put into polls
Whoever gets 50 votes automatically proceeds into the next round. There won't be only one winner for each poll!
We will do one category at the time. We'll start with books.
We'll decide on a winner of each category, and then whoever had the most votes, will proceed into the Final 10.
I'll calculate how many votes each woman got, so that at the end of the voting, you can see how many other women also adored your favourite ones :)
This also means that once you vote, if there's someone else you also want to see in the finals, you can reblog and let your followers know who already has enough votes, and who needs more in order to proceed. I'll also sometimes reblog polls announcing that a certain character has made the cut, and now others need your attention. We're trying to see which ones are loved and adored enough to actually get a lot of votes, even with competition. The voting starts at the end of nominations!
(POLLS ARE COMING SHORTLY)

Career World Credits Map: Copperdale
Tumblr media
The Career World save file has been curated and edited by me, but is by no means filled with my own creations. Here are the original creators of the lots used in Copperdale. As an FYI, there are a number of variations for the formal dance version of dumbest_king's auditorium that I did specifically for this save file. They can be found on the gallery under the hashtag #CareerWorld.
Copperdale also contains a bunch of new teens made by talented CAS creators from the gallery. Here is a list of the new sims, broken down by house:
Womp Womp House: Most of the cheerleaders of Womp Womp House were made by X_Ody12_x. The only exceptions are Sidney Price, who was made by EA, and Valerie Bennett, who is part of a group of sims from the High School Years trailer made by Machine170. Coach Dugan, the Womp Womp House monitor, was made by Bunnyhart.
Llama House: Most sims in Llama house are EA originals. The only exceptions are Cody Thompson, who is part of the HSY trailer group by Machine170; Kiana Flynn, who was made by ExcitingChives; and Kyleigh Ocampo (name changed), who is by NaomiAE26.
Cowplant House: Tai Lum and Ash Harjo are EA originals. Ryan Guerra is by themessylemon. Tyler Peterson is by T33ths0up. Tristin Quan (altered) is by Zenrosa. Rainbow Hillman (altered) is by Shes_Witchin. Samaira Rihaan is by me (rachelwolfe).
Equine House: All members of the principal’s family are EA originals. Conner Rutherford, Justine Collins, and Louise Bell are all part of the HSY trailer group made by Machine170. Zain Darwish (altered) is by happy_nici.
Simian House: Zoe Patel and Savannah Price are EA originals. Tyler Keaton, Tara Hadid, and Sonya Hamilton are all part of the HSY trailer group made by Machine170. Jayce Flores (altered) is by LiamJLambie. Kogan Guo (altered) is by brachvogel7.
There are also a bunch of new unhoused teens made by MylesIsaiah intended specifically to serve as the required NPC teens for the high school events that take place on the football field after hours.
Thanks to all the creators!

Important Note: The following details my personal interpretation of DC, where canon is a buffet and I am a picky eater.
Earth-64 | Teen Titans
The Teen Titans are a superhero team. As their name indicates, the members are teenage superheroes typically in association with one of the Justice League's premier heroes.
Regardless of the era, the members protect Jump City while residing in the Titans Tower. The Teen Titans and the citizens of Jump City have a complex relationship, but most of the time it is positive.
TEEN TITANS I
Leader: Dick Grayson (as Robin I)
Donna Troy (as Wonder Girl I)
Garth (as Aqualad I)
Koriand'r (Starfire)
Roy Harper (as Speedy I)
Wally West (as Kid Flash I)
Disbandment Reason: Different Interests
Teen Titans I is the first iteration of the Teen Titans, featuring the first split of the sidekicks from their mentors on Earth-64. While on this Earth, the members listed (not including Starfire) all knew each other on a base level but it wasn't until they worked together that they became the friends their mentors failed to be at this point in time.
TEEN TITANS I.V
Leader: Dick Grayson (as Robin I)
Garfield Logan (as Beast Boy)
Koriand'r (Starfire)
Ratna Roth (Raven)
Victor Stone (Cyborg)
Disbandment Reason: Reached Adulthood
Teen Titans I.V exists purely so I can include the animated Teen Titans series in my universe. Yes, I do understand there were some hmm things that came out of that series that still negatively impact the characters today, but it was my introduction to DC so...
Teen Titans I.V occurs when Dick Grayson returns from his stint on the Justice League's secret operative team (inspired by the Young Justice television show's team). When he returns, he has discovered that Jump City has gone into ruin due to the Teen Titans' absence, and works to help the city's crime rate. Along the way, he reunites with Starfire who he finds never left Jump, and the two meet Garfield Logan, Ratna Roth, and Victor Stone for the first time. Dick remakes the Teen Titans with the new members.
This would be the late Dick Grayson as Robin years until he becomes Nightwing. The team then splits up as they can no longer be the Teen Titans, and Koriand'r goes on to become the leader of the Titans with Garfield and Ratna while Cyborg goes on to join the Justice League. At some point, Dick Grayson and Koriand'r get married (this time without the interruption of evil Raven), and move to Bludhaven. At some point, Garfield and Ratna get married as well.
TEEN TITANS II
Leader: Jason Todd (as Robin II)
Antonia Louise "Toni" Monetti (Argent)
Conner Hawke (Green Arrow II)
Eddie Bloomberg (as Kid Devil)
Grant Emerson (Damage)
Isiah Crockett (Hot Spot)
Rose Wilson (Ravager)
Wallace West (as Kid Flash II)
Disbandment Reason: Death of Jason Todd
Dick Grayson, still not speaking with Bruce Wayne, wishes to protect his new younger brother and thinks it is best if he experiences time away from Bruce himself. Jason Todd is appointed the new leader of the Teen Titans, and goes around recruiting his own team. Perhaps not the best people, but what can I say happy 'Robin makes you magic' Jason Todd endeared himself to them.
They serve as the Teen Titans for a while until Jason Todd gets called back to Gotham. Without Jason, the team works under Rose Wilson's leadership with occasional updates from Jason. Until the updates stop coming, with the last one being Jason telling them that it is going to take longer than expected for him to return. After months of radio silence, Dick Grayson delivers the news that Jason Todd has died. Filled with grief, the members split off on their own.
TEEN TITANS III
Leader: Stephanie Brown (as Robin IV) & Cassandra Cain (as Batgirl II)
Amy Allen (Bombshell)
Courtney Mason (Anima)
Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl)
Jesse Chambers (as Jessie Quick)
Mia Dearden (as Speedy II)
Disbandment Reason: Reached Adulthood
Now, according to the Teen Titans Wikipedia page, it seems to claim that Young Just Us is a version of the Teen Titans. I disagree, and think Stephanie and Cassandra deserve their own team. I know inherently, a good team for them would be making their own version of the Birds of Prey but I wanted to include a Teen Titans one with Tim's generation. I also think them having their own Teen Titans could set up my Earth-64 path of them becoming the second Batman (Cass) and Batwoman (Steph).
After Tim Drake forms Young Just Us, Stephanie is a bit offended she wasn't invited and decides to take over the defunct Teen Titans. When Cassandra is adopted into the Wayne family, Stephanie (in hopes to build a friendship) invited her to join her new Teen Titans. The two go around recruiting members, acquiring an all-female Teen Titans. The group remains together until they reach adulthood, but they all stay in touch and make sure to have a yearly reunion.
TEEN TITANS IV
Leader: Damian Wayne (as Robin V) and Jonathan 'Jon' Kent (as Superboy IV)
Collin Wilkes (as Abuse)
Jay Nakamura (Truth)
Kathy Branden (Beacon)
Maps Mizoguchi
Maya Ducard (Nobody II)
Suren Darga
Reason for Disbandment: Reached Adulthood
Something something DC stop giving Damian Dick Grayson's leftovers.
Teen Titans IV was originally two teams, a portion of the Gothamites (Collin, Damian, Maps, Maya, and Suren) and the trio of Jay, Jon, and Kathy. Due to the friendship between Damian and Jon, the two merged together creating the fourth iteration of the Teen Titans.
TEEN TITANS V
Leader: Mari Grayson (Nightstar)
Arend Beecher-Duncan (Guardian II)
Iris 'Irey' West II (as Impulse II)
Laurel Lance-Queen (Black Arrow)
Tushar 'Tri' Logan (Crow)
Teen Titans V is the fifth iteration of the Teen Titans, and consists of next-generation characters and next-generation ocs. This group operates during the era when superheroes are immensely established all over the world, and have to figure out what type of heroes they want to be while dealing with family legacies and generational trauma that have yet to be dealt with.
Since this is a group where the characters are really up to interpretation, I have more freedom in terms of stories. I am still working on said stories, but for Tushar his would be him awakening his demon form for the first time and the fallout after that while coming to terms that he is not the second coming of his grandfather and gaining full control of the demon form. For Irey, it would be learning her brother Kai West has become the second Turtle in a quest to restore his connection to the Speedforce. I know the emotional point of that storyline would be the reveal that Iris was the one to remove Kai's connection to the Speedforce (although accidentally).

Comfort youtube video/s? (From 🦆 anon BTW :))
hi 🦆 anon! 🤗
i have quite a few comfort videos/ youtubers!
i’ll make a list:
i’ve found that all the youtubers teaching you how to use watercolours etc are SO comforting - this video is so comforting to me and i put it on in the background quite a lot .
anything by Danny Gonzales and Kurtis Conner.
SOPHIE LOUISE?! SHE IS SO SOFTSPOKEN AND I LOVE HER! i just relate to her so much, she radiates big sister/ best friend energy and i love that.
any stardew valley/ animal crossing youtuber, they’re all amazing.
predictable but all of the landologs are GREAT.
JESSICA. KELLGREN-FOZARD. MY QUEEN.
i don’t really like f1 content creators because i feel like they’re always too hyper for some reason and i just cant get into them OR they’re always clickbait-y OR they’re straight up just bad people. one of the only ones i like is tommo, specifically his livestreams. they’re always chilled out and i like listening to them in the background if i need the f1 kick. i also think he looks kind of like liam payne? i’m also biased and he always rates lando well so that’s extra :)
i know this isn’t youtube but the only other f1 content i really like is the late breaking podcast just because i love their sense of humour and their discord server is sooooo good. this is a good one if you want something more upbeat and funny rather than chilled out and relaxed.

okay for the 1920’s story you have the characters:
viola drusus - she/her - her husband faked his death and viola’s finally out of prison and she really wants a drink
lousie wagner - she/her - she owns a speakeasy. she’s great. love her.
roy walsh - he/him - he’s a bartender at louise’s speakeasy and her husband. they’re very nice and roy’s a trans man
viola meets roy on a train, having no idea that prohibition is in full swing, and he decides to trust her and take her to him and louise’s speakeasy, The Green Carnation (it’s also a gay bar).
she ends up working as a bouncer there, seeing as she’s a) very bony and b) very good at fighting. and elbow to the face will hurt like a bitch, mostly because you just got a joint thrown into your face and now your noise is broken.
they find out viola’s husband isn’t actually dead when viola thinks he sees him out while shopping. just to make sure, they go to his old grave. they find the grave, henry conners, with the last name crossed out and replaced with Falk. they dig up his grave and finds a women’s body, a recent one, inside of it
when they find him, he begs them for help saying someone is trying to kill him. someone is, viola’s younger sister.
and that’s all the plot i’ve got.
oooh
i love that, it sounds so cool!!
