Exclusive South Africa Tour
With over 300 species of mammals, South Africa boosts of ample bird and other wildlife watching opportunities. Different topographies and climates offer a variety of fauna to explore in the open savannahs as you bask in the luxury of our handpicked resorts.
An oasis away from the city.
A journey to South Africa, experiencing fascinating cultures and viewing diverse bird and animal life, without any doubt affords an opportunity of a lifetime to any photographer. A carefully planned itinerary, will provide ample visual moments to add to your camera skills and come back with stunning images. A typical photo day commences early in the morning, with midday rests and resumes early in the afternoon. This not only provides for sufficient rest but utilises the best light and avoids the tourist crowds as well.
Starting from the staggering splendour of Cape Town, this city will provide you with the perfect start to hone your photographic skills, and strengthen your portfolio with pictures for the sterner tests ahead. Cape Point, Table Mountain, Kirstenbosch, african penguins, Addo Elephant National Park etc. will prepare you for that once in a lifetime picture, which you will be aspiring for on the African safari to Kruger which follows.
The Kruger national park trips are all carefully planned and researched to allow you the best possible opportunity to experience and photograph the amazing wildlife spectacles you are bound to come across. With your passion and enthusiasm, along with our expert guidance, you will make the most out of this enthralling trip. Regardless of whether you are just entering into the wonderful world of african wildlife photography  or have been clicking for years, the South African photo journey will be ideal for you.
Day 1 – Arrive into Cape Town (also known as the Mother City) where you will be met by a representative. You will be escorted to the hotel wherein after settling down you will head towards Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens http://www.sanbi.org/gardens/kirstenbosch .
Kirstenbosch is adjacent to the famous Table Mountain National Park and together they form part of the Cape Floristic Region Protected Area. This region was proclaimed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2004.
Tumblr media
One of best sunset on the Table Mount Kilimanjaro can be viewed from Bloubergstrand (Blue Mountain Beach) which is right across the bay. Dinner would be served at the hotel following a short interactive session among all the guests. A good nights’ sleep is highly recommended as there’s a long day ahead.
Day 2 – After breakfast, a short drive to Hout Bay to visit World of Birds through the picturesque Chapman’s Peak drive. A tour around Cape Peninsula, where baboons can be seen in their natural habitat, will take us to Cape Point, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet.
You will head around the coast to Simons Town and on to Boulders Bay where we will visit the penguin ‘Honeymoon Hotel’, a protected breeding ground for African Penguins. African Penguins are the only penguins to be found on the continent and there are few places that offer as remarkable a viewing point as Boulders Beach. Some of the best pictures of African Penguins can be clicked here alongside the beautiful landscape. For lunch, you will head to Victoria & Alfred Waterfront following which you will have some time to wander around the waterfront and have a look at the seals there.
The afternoon would be perfect for a visit to Two Ocean Aquarium in V&A Waterfront where marine life from both Indian Ocean & Atlantic Ocean can be seen. Some exquisite life forms such as translucent jellyfish, the rare Knysna seahorse and giant spider crabs. All these beautiful marine life can be seen through the exhibit which is a 10 meter long glass tunnel.
For sunset, you will be whisked to Oudekraal where you will have ample photo opportunities and also interact with other guests. Dinner would be served at a restaurant (TBD) in Llundudno. After dinner you will head to hotel to relax and get ready for the next day of adventures.
Day 3 – Morning starts with early breakfast after which you fly from Cape Town to Addo National Elephant Park which houses over 600 elephants along with lions, buffaloes, rhinos, spotted hyenas, leopards, variety of antelopes and zebras, etc. The unique Addo flightless dung beetle is not found anywhere else in the world.
After lunch, a game drive would be the ideal scenario for rest of the day. Sunset in the bush with some sun downers would make this an experience to remember.
Tumblr media
For dinner, you head to your hotel and then relax. Evening is at leisure. Day 4 – Continuing your stay at Addo, you will head out for early morning and sunset game drives which will give you almost 8 hours of photo opportunities for that perfect picture. Breakfast and dinner would be at the hotel. However lunch would be served either in a restaurant or within the game reserves. A session among the guests in the evening would be ideal so that everyone can share their experiences being the last night in Addo as you head out to Kruger National Park next.
Tumblr media
Day 5 – After breakfast, you fly to Kruger National Park. For this you will fly to Johannesburg and then take a small plane ride to our exclusive luxury private game reserve for real African Safari photography experience. All meals, game drives, safaris would be perfectly timed for you along with photography sessions and discussions. Day 6&7 – Stay in Kruger National Park. Gender Reveal Photography Services
gender reveal sessions are new to the industry of cape town but its one that is taking us by storm.
Gone are the days where your Gynae says “It’s a Boy” or “It’s a Girl”, Let us be honest right up front, your Pinterest boards are filled with nursery ideas for both boys and girls and you can’t wait to get your hands on that first DIY project.
Now all that’s left to do is find out the gender to secure that paint color you have been dying to use.  So why should you have a photography session? If not for any other reason but to have that moment to look back on and giggle with your baby when he or she is old enough to ask.
Instead of finding out the gender in the cold offices of your gynae, Cape Town offers the most amazing locations from urban landscapes of the V and A waterfront to the dreamy landscapes of Llundudno beach. The location you choose will hold such a special memory for you whenever you visit there again, now can you imagine taking your baby there and reliving that moment holding them close to your chest. This fall I decided to visit a new country. The country of Wales. Wales is a fairly small country with a huge personality. I traveled throughout the entire country on this trip but I’m dividing it into several parts, Llanduando and Conwy, Snowdonia and Caernarfon, Port Merion, St. David’s and Pembrokeshire, then Swansea and Chepstow. If you’re looking for a destination full of castles and breathtaking scenery look no further.
Things to consider before you go
The first thing to know about Wales and is probably one of the reasons it’s not a hot travel destination with tourists is that you really need a car. There is some public transportation but there is not a lot of it. If you really want to see the country you need your own car.
North Wales tends to be quite sleepy. Not that there aren’t a ton of things to do but a lot of places close at 6 pm. You can find restaurants open after 6 and some bars but if you’re looking to grab a coffee at Starbucks or a cafe after dinner you’ll be out of luck.
If you like castles and abbeys get the Explorer Pass. I knew I was going to be in Wales for the better part of two weeks so I invested. It allows you entrance into 28 sites throughout Wales. I purchased the 7-day pass to be used in 14 days for roughly $35 and it was well worth it.
The last thing to know is that much like the rest of Great Britain they drive on the left and they love their roundabouts. Although at first, this was a little nerve-wracking you quickly get used to it. One driving rule to keep in mind. Many of the roads are very narrow. Be kind and let others pass. The Welsh know their roads and tend to travel at higher speeds than posted. One Welshman told me, one of their biggest pet peeves is when someone is driving on the road at a slower speed and they don’t leave enough room between them and the next car for another car to pass in between. So be mindful when you’re driving in Wales to leave at least a 1 to 2 car length gap between you and the car in front of you.
First stop Llanduando
Llandudno is a gorgeous seaside town. It came to prominence during the reign of Queen Victoria as a place to visit and relax. That feeling is still very much the tone of this town. This was also my base for the first few days of my trip. Poised on the Northern coast this Victorian town is beautifully laid out and conducive to long walks along its huge promenade.
Things to do
Take a walk along the Llandudno promenade to the Llandudno pier. The pier is full of little shops and eateries where you can get everything from a souvenir mug to a fist full of candy floss.
Take a trip up to Great Orme. You can either drive up or take the Great Orme tram. If you drive, make sure you stop at the little kiosk and pay for parking. At the top, you will be greeted with sweeping views on three sides as well as some local sheep.

Follow The White Rabbit trail. All throughout Llandudno, there are wooden statues of the characters in Alice In Wonderland. There is an interactive app you can download to find the White Rabbit. Along the way, you’ll meet the Cheshire cat, The Queen of Hearts and many other favorites.
Places to Eat
Being a resort town Llandudno has quite a few options. Here are some of my suggestions.
The Palladium, Wetherspoon’s – Each time I stopped in here it was packed. The food is good and there is truly something for everyone here. The restaurant was once a theater that was popular in the 1920s. They kept the decor and arranged the seating so you can eat in one of the boxes or in the orchestra. The main feature is that they kept those architectural elements of the theater which makes for a great dining experience.
LC Bar – Located two blocks from the Palladium this cozy bar had an affordable and delicious menu. Their Steak and Ale pie is divine and they had a blackberry Gin I wish I had brought home.
The Loaf Coffee & Sandwich bar – For a good breakfast and some tasty coffee stop at the Loaf. It’s only open for breakfast and lunch so make sure you hit it up early.
Where I Stayed
There are quite a few options for accommodations in Lluduano. I stayed at Del Mar. It was perfect. It provided on-site parking as well as a gorgeous full welsh breakfast every morning. The room was comfortable and the staff was lovely and very helpful.
Next Up Conwy
Conwy is a short 10-minute drive from Llundudno. I took the Hop on Hop off bus which left from the beginning of the Pier and dropped me off two blocks from the entrance to Conwy castle. Conwy is a medieval walled city with cute alleyways and several historic landmarks as well as great cafes and shops.
#gallery-0-10 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-10 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-10 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-10 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Things to do
Conwy Castle – When you approach Conwy from Llundudno it’s the first thing you see. This imposing structure bars the way into the village of Conwy. Built by Edward I between 1283 and 1287, it is considered to be one of the finest examples of military architecture from the late 13th century. Most of the castle is open to explore with many of the turrets providing outstanding views of the village and harbor of Conwy.
The Smallest House in Great Britain – If you want to see a novelty head to the harbor to see the smallest house in Great Britain. It is 1.8 meters wide and has two floors. Bring cash because they don’t take credit cards.
Plas Mawr – A gorgeous example of an Elizabethan townhouse. Take the time to walk through the beautifully preserved house and garden. A free audio guide is provided so you can move through the house in any direction you like. This is included in the Explorer pass.
Conwy Town Walls – Much like in York the town walls are available to walk. It’s also included in the Explorer pass.
Places to eat
Bank of Conwy – I was fooled when I approached the Bank. I was looking for an ATM and thought it was a bank. Instead, I found a really great pub. With great food and a cool ambiance, this is a must stop.
The Press Room Cafe – Situated just below the castle this is a great little cafe with lovely desserts and coffee.
Tower Coffee House – This little cafe sits in one of the parapets in the city wall facing the harbor. It’s a great place to sit and enjoy tea especially when they have the fire going.
I loved this country and I cannot understand why it’s so underrated. From the people to the scenery there are few places that are so dynamic. For more information or if you want tips and help to book a trip to Wales send me a message. I would be more than happy to help you book your trip to this beautiful and pristine country. Until next time

August 12 - September 2, 2019
I flew from Athens to Cape Town, South Africa on Qatar Airlines (€633.30 roundtrip), which required an annoying but fast credit card verification at the airport. I heard that flying on your birthday might be worthwhile, but literally nothing happened.
I was really lucky to have a friend in town to drive me around this big, beautiful country, and also just be wonderful, smart company.
Here are a few of the wonderful things to do:
Drink Steri Stumpie flavored milk and green creme soda!
Massage at Pure Day Spa.
Dress warmly for the winds at Big Bay Beach and then have a meal or drink nearby.
Go up the Table Mountain Cable Car (students for R150, regular R290). The views are the best I’ve ever seen and I love how the cable car spins around so you can see everything as you go up.
Go up to Signal Hill and watch the paragliders jump off the mountain.
Buy Nice Ice Cream and walk across the street with your ice cream cone for some perfect beach views.
I really, really enjoyed wine tasting in Stellenbosch, with Delaire Graff Estate being my favorite place in South Africa. The mountain views and the wine are incredible and unlike any other place I’ve been.
Be sure to stop by Root 44 Market for lamb shank, bunny chow, or any other delicious local foods.
We stayed at Knysna Elephant Park for two nights ($180.40) to see elephants sleep and also to have a private moment with them in the morning. It includes breakfast, as many "Meet Our Herd" daily guided tours as you’d like, and an early morning experience with the elephants for about an hour. The morning experience is only available for lodge guests.
Prices have recently increased drastically for tourists at Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, and you’ll see more penguins outside of the paid area, but I would pay if you’d like to be on the beach or in the water.
It’s worth driving through Simon’s Town to check out the antique shops and also have breakfast in Kalk Bay.
Cape Point is the south western most tip of Africa. It is R303 for international visitors, and R70 for locals. Cape of Good Hope has a wealth of small animals such as lizards, snakes, tortoises, and insects. Small mammals include rock hyrax (lassie), striped mouse, water mongoose, and Cape clawless otter. If you want whale viewing, the southern right whale is most likely to be seen in False Bay between June and November.
It was really amazing to disconnect for a week at Kagga Kamma, where we did a number of guided excursions. My favorites being the rock art tour (R385) to see cave art dating back approximately 6,000 years, stargazing (R90), sundowner picturesque viewing (R385), and quad bike safari (R300).
On my next trip, I’d like to try: seal snorkeling, Franschhoek Wine Tasting Tram, Lions Head Hike (early morning or sunset), Houtbay lunch, Llundudno beach, Camps Bay cocktails and dinner, Bo-Kaap museum and neighborhood, Charly’s Bakery, Castle of Good Hope, The Ladbia Theatre, Whatiftheworld Gallery, Cape Town Red Bus City tour hop-on-hop-off, and shopping (Matsidiso shoes, Titch bags).
