I remember the rumor going around that the reason Otto hated Daemon was because he took Alicent’s maidenhood and I didn’t really believe it (and I still don’t believe since a lot of people saying this are also claiming she have her maidenhood to the fossil sick and dying man that was Jaeherys who couldn’t even remember his own name) but then for fun I started thinking about it. And if we’re talking solely book maybe after Laena died they formed an alliance (sealed with sex ofc) with their children marrying one another, and then Daemon is on the side of the Greens. I think it would be interesting but I was mostly thinking about the show. Same premise only I feel like Daemon and she would sleep together after she marries Viserys (unlike how most fans like to imagine it I don’t think she’d get pregnant mostly by sheer luck or other methods) and have a little fling going on but then he starts fucking around with Rhaenyra and she gets pissed and ends things. Fast forward 10 years later we’re at Laena’s funeral. There shall be no dusty beach sex instead Alicent goes over with Aegon, Helaena, and Aemond to offer condolences (she’s not eye fucking him the entire time she genuinely wants to meet his daughters because losing a mother is hard) maybe they talk on the beach maybe they don’t. The eye situation happens and since they’ve debated over an alliance (and maybe Baela and Rhaena have helped Aemond??) Daemon stands with the Greens. This is really just late night thoughts and I’m mostly just in a sily mood lol.

This is a legitimately interesting take on things. Daemon siding with the Greens definitely would’ve changed a lot of things.

One has to wonder though how he’d feel towards his brother if he started hooking up with Alicent. Like when know he resents him to a degree, but he loves him even more so seeing how Alicent is treated would probably wipe away most of that love.

I suppose that like, the common theme for both Sonic and Amy is that they're both who make the people they're around better. The central kernel of Scourgamy is that Amy is someone who so represents love that she can draw out something decent in a guy who goes out of his way to reject decency.

And Sonic is like... similarly someone who brings out the good in people. But the problem is that just as Amy sort of represents, the power of universal and unconditional love, Rosy is this creature of undying murderous hate (all life is to be smashed, and Scourge is just her favorite object of violence like Sonic is Amy's primary object of that limitless love)

So could Sonic find a way to reach through and find something good in Rosy? Probably not, and I also don't see Rosy managing, or even wanting, to break Sonic mentally when her goal is primary physical violence. But I'd be curious as to what people could come up with.

Me, after Daisy’s interview: Friendship ended with Sequel Trilogy, POTO is my best friend now (Seriously Reylo was like 70% of why I found the ST interesting after not caring about SW for my entire life, so if that’s not going to be a part of TROS because something-something-toxicity, then why care? I’ll spend my time in chiller fandoms that have 10-minute dirges about sex in a musical literally titled Love Never Dies, at least that’s for-sure canon.)

but j/k, because I think Daisy’s answer there is just an awkward and poorly considered attempt to be diplomatic and ~objective about ~concerns while leaving the door wide open with the obvious suggestion of ‘duh, it happens; stories have obstacles and they’ll be overcome’. Very similar to her previous pre-TLJ comment ‘acknowledging the discussion’ which was awkward in the exact same way. I’m not worried.
