guys i’m gonna be cringe here for a second ,

i love seeing people who have self shipped with fictional characters for literal years and have it be their like specific thing they’re known for. but for some reason when i indulge myself with me x hughie stuff i just feel like a FREAAAKKKK idk

like. i dunno i just feel like im so cringe for liking him the way i do . hes just a guy!!!!why do i like him so much!!!! i get self conscious cuz what if people think its weird . its to the point where even people in real life know about it??? i literally never talk about fandom or anything with my family or general peers so the fact that my parents are the ones calling my obsession “obscene” is just hshgddhshjehd PLS (btw yes thats why i use the word Obscene so much. because my mom said my hughie obsession was obscene. while she was on the phone. With Her Friend. 😔)

but like i spend Real Money and time and effort making stuff of this fake guy and doing art trades etc just to get more stuff of me and my fucking blorbo and i feel INSANE FOR IT!!!!!!

can't believe a show based on a videogame (usually games adaptations are notoriously bad, which isn't the case here tho) gave me the beauty and the beast/twisted mirrors/enemies to traveling companions/ruthless antihero+optmistic but still badass heroine who takes none of his shit/age gap but make it sexy dynamic of my dreams. as much as i love maximus and i think he deserves the best writing ever because 1. he's a clever deconstruction of the aspiring Knight bro who's actually a bit of a loser and, as much as lucy, sees the world in black&white at first and then doesn't get what he thought he wanted but what he needs (or at least i hope he'll eventually get it), and 2. he's a cutie and i want an epic love story for him too, it's very funny how they tried to give us a puppy kind of romance and the tumblr girlies still fixated on the "toxic ~she bites his finger off and he cuts hers off and sews it on his hand in what we'll pretend it's a symbolic marriage rings exchange or whatever~ asshole who used to be a nice guy/good girl™ with a lot of spunk and hidden anger but unshakeable morals" kind of relationship.

#mind you idt the writers will ever have the guts to go for this pair or anything and i'm perfectly okay with the maximus/lucy romance #but still. they tried to give us the wholesome love story between two cuties with a killer side #and the fandom went ~mmmh we kinda want for that girl and the noseless radioactive ghoul to fuck nasty actually #shhdhdhf i'm sorry but this was so predictable to me. conosco i miei polli #also. i don't fully understand those who see it as a father/daughter thing? just because it worked on tlos #doesn't mean we need the same kind of dynamic here #1. despite him being an actual father (or at least. he was 200+ years ago) i've never seen a less paternal character than the ghoul lmao #2. lucy is an adult woman. young but in her mid twenties i guess? cooper had (and maybe still has) a daughter but the kid was like. 6 or 7?#lucy doesn't need a daddy she's a grown up. stop infantilizing women all the freaking time #let them be fully equals!! let them be bickering road trip companions/a killer squad/tentative allies who eventually form a real bond #i SWEAR if the writers go full parent/child bs with them in s2 because they're more popular #(at least on ao3. i don't expect the same level of insanity from the general audience)#than the canon ship i'll riot. idt they will but still #..... maybe they should go for a hot max/lucy/coop polycule instead. that would be interesting lmao #vaultghoul #fallout #val rambles in the tags #val speaks #txt

also hiiiiiii while i'm on the subject of "pei ming respects women actually" (<— that man provides for all his lovers when he's not there and is altogether very normal about things, just isn't interested in romantic relationships) can we talk about the whole "pei ming likes women who are softspoken and docile" thing. cause i know the narrative says it several times. but the most significant relationship that the narrative shows pei ming having in canon. is him and another fucking general in the middle of a war. somehow i don't associate xuan ji with words like softspoken or docile or even easygoing. and yet pei ming seems to have no problem hanging out with her... and very actively prefers her as a strong opponent rather than someone who gives up her own agency for his sake... my point here is that the narrative loves to just straight up fucking lie about pei ming. we're ostensibly in xie lian's head and i don't think he actually understands what's going on with pei ming sfjkgdf

Chinese/Lunar New Year

So uh for the past few days I’d been contemplating a Chinese New Year piece for this year in particular because uh it’s the Year of the Dragon and that plus dragon dance so perfect a combination it makes, but uh… admittedly I bit more than I could chew so uh :’D

I wasn’t able to make a full artwork in time, but I do have my cleaned up sketch to show for the holiday, so without further ado, happy Chinese/Lunar New Year Stilton fandom <3

It’s very not complete and the dragon’s details aren’t even drawn in but I hope ya’ll like it anyway

i dont know what would be worse if amy is never in the sonic movies at all or if they do introduce her in the next one but shes pushed to the side and doesnt get the amount of focus she should be getting considering shes a main character and this is her introductory movie because theres too much other stuff going on with shadow and/or they just completely butcher her character

#amy being such a low priority of the movie team is double frustrating because #shes the only main character who hasnt been introduced yet and theyre already moving on to shadow #completely skipping over any stories involving amy that happened before sa2 #and shes also the only girl in the main game cast and there havent been many actual plot important girl characters in the movies so far #i know the next movie is sa2 inspired and a lot of people are saying amy has to be in it because shes a major character there but ..#to be completely honest with you all. i love amy but theres only like 2 or 3 scenes in sa2 where shes actually important to the plot #and the scenes in question could be easily be rewritten to not involve her . like they did in sonic x that one time .#or they could just be cut entirely because the plot has been changed so much #and then theres also rouge .. i think her chances of being included are a bit higher #because she plays a bigger role in the original plot than amy did and also shadow and rouge are a package deal do not separate #but that one picture going around with little drawings of the characters only having team sonic + shadow on it is not a good sign #though they could also be hiding rouge or amy since shadow was already revealed to be in this theres no point in denying it #but theres been no real hint to amy or rouge at all so it would be a surprise if they were in it #maybe thats part of the reason theyre being so secretive and not letting anything leak this time .. who knows #but idk . i really dont know what to expect here

just full force threw a shoe at my sister's face and when my mum got me alone after she was like 'you shouldn't clobber her. but i get it' 😭

#it kicked off today but in my defence she's actually proper in the wrong this time even my DAD called her a bitch and my mum is FUMING #baso my sister came into my work with her mate when i was closing the other day and all the staff GLARED at them bc of aforementioned #close so i was being v chill so everyone 1) knew it was my sister and not some customer coming in late and 2) her friend wouldnt be uncomfy #like that's the real kicker her i was being extra laid back FOR her friend so he'd feel more at ease. and one thing about me is yes ive #said countless times i have a rural accent but my mum also raised me to know when and how to speak nice if need be bc people are cunts here #so when im waitressing i speak nicely bc it's a stuck up restaurant w stuck up customers but when im with my sister? making a point of #being laid back? my normal accent came through. and her mate when i was gone said i sounded 'really [from the county we live in]'#which WOULD NOT BE A COMPLIMENT. it's baso saying 'your sister sounds local and chavy' without using such explosive words #and my sister LET HIM SAY IT. SHE DIDNT DEFEND ME. and she told my mum about it later bc SHE THOUGHT SHE'D TELL ME OFF #LIKE SHE DID IT TO SNITCH.
